I absolutely love this place. First time here three weeks ago and came back yesterday. I honestly can say I will never go to another salon again. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Tom did an amazing job with my nails. Asked me what I wanted and even helped with my color choice. Very gentle and precise. read more

Very expensive and not worth coming back! Second day my nail already chip from the side. It suppose to be strong enough to stand up to daily wear and tear without chipping. Not at this nail Salon. Very disappointed. read more

I get to the mall at 10a, when this location opens. I wait 10 minutes in front of the store and no ones there. I walk downstairs to go to the other salon with out realizing they closed. I walk back upstairs and notice now the doors are open and the lights are turned on. Cool. I walk in, NO ONE IS THERE. I'm sitting on their mini couch. I call their phone because maybe someone's in back and didn't hear me walk in. No answer. I walk to their back room. No ones there. Legit contemplated if I should start cutting my own cuticles. It's now 10:45a. My nails could've been done by now. This place sucks. read more

This nail salon is nice and open, sanitary and great ambiance! The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because my manicure as well as my moms was being a bit rushed after a group of walk-ins came in. The mani was great, the polish as well except my technician was moving pretty quick to finish and missed an edge on two of my nails. read more

Staff was friendly and attentive, I didn't feel ignored. Brian did an excellent job reshaping and filling my nails, and he was kind enough to take me last minute, without an appointment, almost at close. Will definitely return read more

I don't really understand the negative reviews but my GO-TO techs are Brian and Tina. Brian's my usual nail tech and he is super friendly, kind, and absolutely hilarious on top of his fabulous work. Although the prices are a little high in comparison to other salons, the talent of the workers here is outstanding. read more

I have been coming here for over a year. The young lady who does my eyebrows is wonderful. I am always so pleased with her thoroughness and professionalism. She shapes my eyebrows to match my face..not thin like some other places where I come out looking" shocked". read more

The owner is very rude and not friendly at all. very Unprofessional. customers satisfaction doesn't mean anything to them. I had multiple bad attitude from her and kept giving her chances. But this time I got fed up and left them for good. And I'm glad I did. I used to go there from when Tu was the owner. the new owner needs a lot of training in running a business. Mirna read more

Being a former nail tech myself, I didn't want just anyone doing my nails. I searched numerous nail salons in lake county for someone who created nails with great shape as well as design. The yelp photos were great, and I got exactly what I was hoping for with my own created design I brought in! Thank you Tina, you're amazing! read more

I enjoy going to this nail salon because they offer so many different nail techniques. I really love going here to get Dip Powder done. It is clean and they always do a great job on my nails. I think the prices are super reasonable and the Spa Pedicure is super relaxing. It is good to come during the week and if you do come on the weekends I recommend you make an appointment. Overall, I recommend this salon for their techniques. read more

Very clean and friendly. Being a mall location, prices are a bit higher than what you find at a stand-alone salon, but they have later hours than other places. They offer wine/water for free. read more

literally the worst nail shop in the world!! my sns didn't maintain the color within the first 24 hours; went back and this older lady tried to fix and it was an ever bigger failure!!! omg!!! two days later the gel on my big toe started to come up.. went back in to get it fixed and they acted as if it was a problem that i was back! i travel the country and this by far one of the worst nail salons ever! they shouldn't be offering services that they can't execute! i hate that i wasted my money and time at this below zero star nail shop! they should just close down! read more

5 Elements Nail - Three day old gel polish! - Waxing Near Me - Vernon Hills, Illinois

I love this salon. I'm allergic to acrylic and this is one of the only places within 20 miles that will do IBD liquid gel nails. I had made an appointment and I was 15 min late. The place is a bit hard to find and if its your first time at this mall its going to be a bit impossible to find in under 5 min. But that's what makes it a hidden gem! Even though I was 15 min late, I was told to come back in 30 min and I would be seen. I came back in 25 min. I picked my color; I found what I wanted and was told to sit at one of the manicure tables. After sitting I had about a 1hr wait. I didn't mind the wait because I was late and it was totally my fault and there were people ahead of me. When it was finally my turn, my nail tech, Tina, gave me a free no chip color instead of the regular OPI colors (partially to apologize for the wait and as a first time customer special!) She did my liquid gels so quick and efficiently! This is the best set of gels I've ever had! I even got a hand massage after, most nail salon a don't do this I'd you don't come for a manicure! And the salon stayed open an hour after the mall closed in order to service me! I love this place, I love Tina, and I will definitely be back. This place has only been open 1 month, so they dont have many nail techs on staff yet, so because of that you will have a wait until they can hire more techs, but I recommend this place! Best service ever! read more

Warning: this place clearly and openly uses tools without sterilizing. When I sat down, the nail technician whipped the towel, pieces of nails fell to the floor, and he promptly placed the towel back down. Then while sitting with my hand under the dryer, I watched him begin with the exact tools he just used on me. read more

Service is great! Brian is awesome!! Store space is clean. Advantage it's in the mall and theatre is right next to nail shop.

I really like this salon. They are friendly, thorough, and the prices are reasonable. They take their time to ensure your nails and skin are taken care of. I have gotten no-chip manicures as well as pedicures, and they last a long time. I like their color selection and their selection of different services (especially the paraffin treatment with the pedicure). It is a VERY clean salon. A nice touch is that they line their pedicure tubs with a plastic liner. They also offer water and sometimes wine. Parking is easier on that side of the mall. read more

Excellent service. I felt very safe at the salon. All Covid 19 protocol's in place. Donna is a perfectionist and my nails look amazing! Especially after 6 months! Owner and his wife are monitoring all stations and are always very very Nice! Book your appointment today! read more

This was my first time going here! They took me right away. I was a little annoyed because the young girl was on her phone while soaking my nails to take the dip off, and she also broke one of my nails when taking it off. (I had been growing them out for a year.) but she did a amazing job on my nails. It's exactly what I wanted. A little pricey but they are very talented. If you're looking for a place to do a design on your nails this is the place to go! They are so creative. read more

Been getting acrylics done for a few years now and started going to this place after the other nail salon in this mall closed. Never have I had so many broken nails as when I get them done here. I just got a fill and not even a day later one breaks and they say they can't fix it with over an hour until closing. They should not be breaking this fast, I don't do manual labor I literally click on a mouse all day for work. This isn't the first time this has happened, I had 3 nails break in the week after getting them done last time here so I will be taking my business elsewhere now. Should have learned my lesson last time. Also they nicked me with the drill on one occasion and I bled all over it and from what I saw they didn't even wipe it down so goodness knows what their sterilization is like. Rude service, over priced, and low quality work. read more

Let me just say that I have never ever been this pleased with my nails. Venus did such an incredible job. She paid attention to all the details! I have gone to so many nail techs and I can say with out a doubt that this is the happiest I've ever left a nail salon. Ever Update: as far as acrylics this place does an amazing job! How ever I came back to get my acrylics off and get a dip manicure. I have never in my life been so upset about the outcome of my nails. Mainly the shape. I'm not sure what happened this time around, but I am not happy. When I'm paying $50+ for my nails and also tipping fairly generously, I expect my nails to be PERFECT. Needless to say I'm very disappointed. I added photos of the dip manicure. The shape is not round or square.... I truly don't know what's happening with the shape. I asked her not to cut them because I wanted to keep them as long as possible. I asked for her to just file them to a nice shape. While I was getting my nails done the woman decided to start yanking on my cuticles (which hurt a hell of a lot) and then she also filed down all the corners of my nails. Painful manicure, took way too long, and didn't come out at all how I excepted it to. read more

Brian has great attention to detail, and he was super nice and talkative. He did an amazing job with my nails, although he did end up cutting me a bit when he was cutting my cuticles but hey, it happens. The salon wasn't the cleanest, there was acrylic powder everywhere and the tables clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while. I couldn't even set my hand down without powder getting all over it. read more

GO. TO. BRIAN. He is the absolute best and genuinely cares for ur nails!! He takes his time and makes sure to give u exactly what u want. 10/10 amazing work. The salon itself is a very good environment and is also super convenient, the prices are decent for what they do but the only reason why it's not 5 stars is because the tools to buff the nails are not new per each person and reused (hopefully sanitized). Still amazing work!! read more

They did a great job on my manicure and pedicure and were very reasonably priced ($50 total for both and I did not go for the most basic options). They are located in the mall, the yelp address didn't make that clear. read more

As a court reporter, I use my hands all the time. They are often sore, and we are in the midst of a cold winter, leaving my hands parched. Plus, my nails are a mess. I popped in and spoke with Mi, who suggested gel polish and the parrafin wax I'd come seeking. She did a marvelous job, and my hands are happy. I wish I lived nearby so I could come back again. Thank you, Mi! read more

I Love this place. Didn't expect the service received because sometimes mall salons can be sub par but the service is great, superior product, clean and sanitary along with a comfortable atmosphere. I came in for just a manicure because I was waiting to get the dip... but glad I took the advice from the ladies there. I love my nails, Tina did a fabulous job and came back after my movie and Bryan did my pedi, very thorough, maticulous, and not rushed. Both Ryan and Tina were sweeties. I definitely will be back and will definitely book Tina for nails and Bryan for my Pedi. 5 Elements has a new customer. Thanks, 5 Elements! read more

Absolutely horrible service! I'm the type of person to give a business or someone several of chances and every chance that I have given, (4) they just get worse! I had to wait until the nail tech finished getting her nails done by another nail tech I stayed there for about three minutes and no one greeted me as they all stared at me the tech cuts me repeatedly, over files, digs into your skin, unpleasant I come in and tell them exactly what I want and they completely disregard what I want and do what they want they gossip about you read more

This use to be my go to spot for over a year, going every two weeks, and there were even times that because I loved the other services that were offered such as eyelashes or eyebrow wax, that I was there each weekend! Generously over tipping my favorite nail tech and just feeling so welcome there, disregarding the 3 or 4 times that my gel no chip nails would fall off(which I've been to 5 different nail salons after this and not one of my gel no chip nails have fallen off). Unfortunately the pricing changed for me even though for the past year, i had literally always paid the same price and had gotten the same designs and if i did get something added or different, she always charged me the same price. I would have understood if she let me know in advance and why. But it's okay. I needed to find a closer more affordable location and one that would be better for my nails to stop falling off and I did. read more

We had a reservation for four people mani and pedis at 7... I had called a few days in advance. We got there and they put our feet in water and one person started working on one person and we sat. Then eventually another person came to work on someone else. I was last. I sat with my feet in the water for 30 minutes! 30 minutes!! In freezing water and no one trying to get to me but telling other people who came in "40 minutes come back". Finally my lady who was working on a gentleman for a long time, helped him up, went up front and took his money and had a few minute chat and then went to talk to someone else, then she came and got my all of my pedicure utensils ready - all with the same gloves on!!!! Ahh!!! She came over and I asked her to please change her gloves to which she told me she had - um nope - I watched you this whole time and you never changed them! I didn't necessarily like the hygiene I saw with their other utensils but then I do work in healthcare with infection prevention. That being said - I don't think I'd recommend this place except that they're open later on a Saturday! read more

Bad business! I had an appointment scheduled for 11am today. I left home rushing to get to my appointment on time because I didn't want to be late and I know the value of customer service and being late is not what I would want to practice in business, whether I'm providing the service or the service is being provided to me. Well, I get here, on time, and the doors are closed, locked and the lights were off. So, I waited and called the business because again, my appointment was at 11am. Well, they finally opened the doors at approx. 1110, and I come to find out that my nail tech was coming in at a later time. Now, I even wrote in the appointment book (which I was asked to do) the time and date of my appointment. So the guy that opened the doors asked me if I wanted him to do my nails, ABSOLUTELY NOT! I had an appointment scheduled with a specific individual, a paid service to be provided by THAT individual. I've read posts here about them being late but didn't think that I would actually experience it myself because everyone has different experiences, but, the reviews are true, unfortunately. read more

I love this place, clean and modern; nail techs are friendly, When I did my hot spa pedicure, they offer a classic red wine for me! Love it! Enjoy my pedicure with a glass of wine :) after I done my hot spa pedicure, I felt relax and my feet so smooth and soft! Only $45 for it. Include Seasalt massage, remove callus and paraffin warp. Very nice/modern location and the staff is very friendly. There were a few things I did not like: 1. They push their services a lot. My friend and I just wanted a simple mani pedi but they kept explaining their other packages, no chip mani, eyebrow waxing, etc 2. My friend's manicure was rushed and her nail chipped within a day. Also, there were a lot of cuticles that were not taken care of 3. The location is in the mall so it is very loud and not so relaxing Even though the staff was very kind and attentive, I will not be returning to this location read more
