Unassuming nail salon close to Fort Sheridan on Sheridan Road. I booked online asking for Dazzle Dry but was ok with a regular manicure. When I arrived, they said I could choose any color for Dazzle Dry, which sounded to me like it was available (I mean, don't you agree?). It was only after I sat down and they started, that they mentioned they could not do Dazzle Dry. At this point, it really didn't matter. This was the lowest priced mani I've had in several weeks -- $20. Weird to me: - completely dry - no soaking of nails - I mentioned that I don't do no chip anymore cause the drills freak me out and then they took out a drill to do my cuticles - nail tech stopped halfway through and someone else finished However, I did like: - peaceful ambience - quiet - tech said I had hands like a doll - relaxing hand massage - inexpensive They let me sit for a few minutes to let my nails air dry (no dryer) but I always hate that so I left as soon as I could. I thought I might have messed up with the seat belt but it was ok. As of today--nails still look great. read more

This was my first visit and it was amazing! I found this place through yelp by searching for cat eye nails - not every nail place has cat eye/magnetic nail polish. I love how my nails turned out so much. This is the best cat eye nails I've gotten on the north shore plus it was a bit cheaper than other places ($75 before tip). My nail tech was very patient and never rushed (even though she was running a few min behind). Other places have rushed and it didn't turn out as well. She also helped me pick out the color, the design of the cat eye, and made sure i was happy with my nails at each step before moving on. I will definitely be coming back!! Also if you want to book cat eye online, make sure to add the cat eye add-on with the gel/no chip. read more

I saw all the positive reviews and was super excited to try this with a friend as we both needed a new set and our usual place was closed. I called and made the appointment over the phone and the woman asked if we had anything on our nails to which I told her yes. She didn't mention that there was a "soak off" fee, which was really them just filing off the previous gel polish, not even the hard gel. When we got there, the girl had a bit of an attitude when we mentioned designs. They sat us down and started doing our nails, and the first time I noticed was that they shared bits without properly cleaning them between my friend and I. The girl filing off my gel also had the nail drill going in the wrong direction and it kept going over my skin which wasn't pleasant, and at one point cut me. When she filed my nails to the shape I wanted, she didn't even check that they were even, and she butchered the skin while filing. Then she pulls out a soft gel, and proceeds to absolutely do an awful job at building my nails back up, and only does one coat and "fixes" some of the others. There's no apex, there's too much at the cuticle, and they are way too thin for how long my nails are. During the time of applying the soft gel, she blows her nose, with her gloves on, and then goes right back to applying the soft gel. I should've left right there and then. At this point I just let her finish, and I've included the pictures of how they turned out. These are my natural nails and I now have to fix them myself and cut them down since they are so awful. By the end of the appointment I was just ready to leave.This is unacceptable. My friend was extremely unhappy with her nails as well. We want our money back. I spent $121 just to have to cut them down and fix them myself. Avoid this place at all costs and save yourself the trauma of dealing with incompetent nails techs. I would rate them -10/10 if I could. read more

$89 for a gel pedicure and 1 nail repair of structured gel. There was an up-charge for removing my existing gel pedicure, apparently it was higher because they did not do the previous pedicure. I literally only had half of the gel on my two big toes, the rest had fallen off. I'm not one to argue at the register so I begrudgingly paid my bill and left. It would've been nice to have known this when I called to make the appointment. I am not one to pay $89 for a gel pedicure, not sure how much it was to repair the single nail that was broken. But there is no way it should've amounted to $89. The nail they "repaired" looks worse than the set I still have. The polish is chipping and wearing off of the nail and it's only been a week. The salon was hot and service was subpar. Do not recommend. read more

My go-to for nails!! Aturena always kills it with such beautiful designs- whatever I ask or show her she will do it perfectly! I've recently switched to Luminary, instead of just no chip- it's saved my nails since they'd break from working with my hands a lot. Luminary lasts a while and doesn't break! AK Studio also does spray tans which I've tried for the first time for my graduation. I'll definitely be taking advantage of her customized mix for upcoming weddings! read more

This place was very okay. I got a no chip manicure and it definitely wasn't the best. The polish is on way too thick and now there are some bubbles on my nails. First no chip from this new nail salon and it's one of the best manicures I've ever had. I had the dry manicure which was a new experience for me and my cuticles have never looked better. The polish selection is only the best - OPI and Gelish. The salon is incredibly clean and hygienic. And the staff so friendly. The only thing I would suggest is better music.
