Was extremely disappointed that the lady working there made an offensive comment about my ONE YEAR OLD niece saying that she wasn't as beautiful as her mother.... Not sure if this is coming from the fact my niece is mixed race or her just being cruel. The lady even acknowledged herself that that comment was rude but since it was her opinion she thought she should "say it anyways". Not sure what would compel someone to say that to a customer let alone a CHILD. Never coming here again and I discourage everyone else to as well. read more

While I love the quality here, I am extremely disappointed in the customer service. I called 3 days ago asking to make an arm wax appt. I was told to come in yesterday at 5:30. I love 30 minutes away so I called on my way to make sure it was ok to come. Uzma said she didn't have any waxing strips but she promised to go get it and to come back the following day. I called today to come in and she said she has a headache and can't come in. This is the second or third time something like this has happened and it's extremely frustrating. I came for an eyebrow threading. I did specifically say "just a clean up". Well the lady cleaned up my whole dang eyebrow(s) off. Like 90 eyebrows (and no there not coming back and I didn't ask for 90 eyebrows). My eyebrows have taken years to grow and finally be normal again. Down the drain...she must of known she messed up sense she didn't even hand me a mirror after. Never again! This place is great if you need to get in and out fast and want a good brow job. It's reasonably priced and I usually walk in and out in 5 minutes when I go on a Friday after work. The thing I don't care for is that it doesn't seem that clean. The chairs could use some updating (or at least a paper film laid down for each new customer?). Something about it just makes me feel a little uncomfortable. Also, the scissors they use to trim brows don't seem sanitary.... or for your brows, since they are just regular paper scissors. With a few tweaks, this place could be awesome. read more

Did not do a good job with eyebrow threading. Made them too thin and uneven and she was done under 2 mins. When questioned, Uzma always has an excuse to why they turned out this way. read more

I went to Uzma's for the first time this past week. She takes walk-ins, which is awesome! Uzma is so nice to her customers. She can do a full face threading in 10 minutes or less. if I could give this place 0 stars I would. my friend and I wanted to get our eyebrows done and before we went to a place in hawthorn mall but after they closed we decided to find a new place and went here. we both have been working on growing our eyebrows for over a year and the lady completely removed half of our eyebrows. we sat in the parking lot and cried for 20 minutes. not only was the other place 10$ and I had to pay 14$ for the worst fucking job ever. if you want half your eyebrows ripped off then come here. This place is super affordable for threading and I loved my results. I came here on a Tuesday late in the morning. I called ahead to see if there was an opportunity for eyebrow threading and Rose told me to come on in. The inside of the location is mainly chairs with very little decor. My eyebrows came out immaculate and it didn't take longer than 6 minutes. Terrible service. I have frequented this in the past, only because it is close to where I live and expensive compared to other places($35 full face threading, other places charge $20- 25) I am at a point now where I am totally fed up. The place to begin with is very dirty, the washrooms are deplorable. It never was this bad when it first opened, but has gone downhill ever since. The only person who is licensed is the owner. Many times I have noticed people wait for the owner instead of the assistant. I have seen a couple of times she is on the phone( cradling the phone between her ear and shoulder) and continuing to thread! Where is your focus woman? I called this past Friday, and tried to make an appointment for 6pm. A woman, who I suspect is the owner says she is available till 7pm and told me a appointment was not necessary. I arrive at 5:45pm, and guess what the store was CLOSED. Wasted my time for no reason. This was the last straw. Never again will I spend a single dollar at this place. I have been going to Uzma for 10 years - also back when she started with her little stand at Hawthorn Mall, when the line would always be a mile long of people waiting to see her, like she's Santa Claus or something. I have tried many other places and nobody does them as beautifully and as painless as her. I would definitely follow her anywhere. In fact, I moved to AZ 5 years ago and I still make trips back to IL to get my eyebrows done by her because she surpasses by leaps and bounds anybody else - even in other states. I always call before I go to make sure Uzma will be there. She is also one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life! She pretty quickly, 10 years ago, started treating me like family or a really good friend. She is always really interested in what's going on in your life and genuinely cares about you and wants tohelp you if you need help with anything. She has given me so much advice throughout the past 10 years on life, jobs, money, everything. She always remembers you when you walk in - your name and everything - and asks about your family, etc. She is one very special woman and I would definitely tell anybody to go here and see her for your threading services! This is the one and only place I will get my eyebrows done!! Uzma's threading lasts the longest of any place I've been to and my eyebrows always look amazing coming out of there. It takes little to no time and is not pricey at all for how long it lasts. My house is far away but it is always worth the drive!! Great to Horrible. I've been going to Uzma's for a long time and she was great at first. She cleaned my eyebrows well and paid great attention to detail, spending about 5-8 minutes doing my eyebrows. Today was the LAST day I went to Uzma's. In the past few months, I noticed she was slacking off and not doing very well. I have very dark, thick eyebrows so if one little piece is off, it's noticeable. Today she went too far out on my left eyebrow, removing the "crown" piece completely and leaving a larger-than-normal gap. Not only was it horribly done, she took about 2.5 minutes to complete my brows AND upper lip, leaving me skeptical about how much attention to detail she REALLY paid. read more

Been going to Uzma's for YEARS now...I keep returning as a customer because it's close to home and too lazy to look anywhere else..but feel like i need to go elsewhere...i used to go every month, month and a half..both ladies are nice. I do notice they sanitize their hands after every person, but do wish they would clean the chairs and scissors after each person. I was in the area for business and desperately needed to get my eyebrows done. Uzma's was clean, fast and friendly. I walked in a few minutes before 11am on a Wednesday and there was no wait. By the time I was done there for 4 people waiting! It is a little bit more expensive than my usual place but $10 for eyebrows isn't terrible and they did a great job. I will return! read more

I went to Uzma's to get my eyebrows done, and the woman doing my eyebrows cut off (with the small scissors) about a fourth of my right eyebrow hair - once I pointed this out, she justified cutting off so much hair on one side by saying "i thought your hair would grow fast, so i cut off more on the right eyebrow" (?? - clearly a way to try and justify her lack of attention while she was doing my eyebrows). When I expressed how upset I was (I was getting my eyebrows done for a special occasion, and now they looked visibly lopsided), the woman told me that she wouldn't charge me and instead I could go to the beauty store and buy an eyebrow kit. I ended up doing this and paid $15 for an eyebrow kit to REPAIR the damage that was caused at Uzma's, rather than the $12 I was supposed to pay for the eyebrows. So I was essentially being told by the woman to spend MORE money to try and cover up eyebrows that she had messed up. I cannot think of a single reason why this should happen other than lack of attention (using the small scissors properly is something even I could have done myself), and I cannot think of a worse customer service reaction than the one I was given. I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning. I recommend to others that it is better to be safe and find somewhere else in the area. read more

Definitely don't come here expecting friendly service but I don't really care as long as my brows look good. I had my brows done within 5 minutes. I think I waited longer in line to have them done.
