November 24 I booked my first appointment with her and let me just say... her location was prefect and plenty of parking (always a PLUS ) her shop was very well stocked and well kept and smelled nice and clean . Meeting Mrs.marsiol day of lash appointment she was very nice and welcoming. This is now my 3rd time getting a fill with her and I will say I'm IMPRESSED and her work shows she has been doing this for time and she is VERY TALENTED!! I have been to 2 other lash artists prior and either they wouldn't place lash extensions in the style I wanted or they would keep raising their prices or have inconsistent appointments/timing. Marisol eagerly wants to ensure she is giving you the lashes you want, has very reasonable, stable pricing and consistent with her appointments and you know exactly when your appointment starts and ends with no surprises. She has a wealth of experience and does great work and is very humble and willing to adjust things if need be. She's a badass lash artist with a great work ethic and attitude and I enjoy coming to her and refer everyone I know to her. LIFE SAVER. Marisol is the absolute best. I got my lashes lifted and eyebrows laminated done at Celeste in high wood (NEVER GO THERE). Not only did Celeste make my lashes so unbelievably curled that I couldn't even blink, they also dyed my brown eyebrows red blond!!! Marisol saved my life. Just as she was about to leave the studio I called her and she let me come in AFTER CLOSING HOURS. My lashes have never looked better. She totally fixed them and in such short notice!! This was hands down the worst experience I have ever had in terms of customer service. I made a same-day appointment for 12:15 PM, and the email I received shortly after stated that my appointment request was pending. An hour prior, I called the number listed on their website because I had yet to receive an email, text, or phone call stating that my appointment time had been confirmed. I was sent to voicemail, and shortly after got a text message from the number I called stating that everyone was busy assisting clients but someone was available to text me to briefly to help me out. I explained my situation, and 15 minutes later, I got another message telling me to contact Michelle, along with her phone number. As a customer, I disliked the fact that I was the one doing the leg work instead of an employee, but because of all the shining reviews, I decided to call her and hope for an answer. Every time I tried calling, I got a busy signal and gave up about 10 minutes before my appointment. Just over 15 minutes before my appointment I sent a message to my first point of contact (the number listed on their website) and explained that I'd tried calling the employee several times, got a busy signal, and was never able to actually speak with someone. Seven minutes after my appointment was supposed to begin, I sent a message to the same number and stated that as no one had gotten back to me or reached out to confirm the appointment, I assumed that I wasn't expected and would not be showing up. Michelle called me nine minutes after my appointment was meant to start, and because I thought she was calling me to apologize and sort this out, I didn't answer due to how fed up I was with the customer service. Once I parked, I realized I had a voicemail from her and was shocked to find out that she seemed to have no idea what was going on and was merely calling to see if I'd show up to the appointment. Out of courtesy, I called her back to explain what had happened. She offered to reschedule me and I declined. A few minutes later I got a follow-up text from the number I called initially, which ended up being the owner's phone number. She explained that due to personal reasons she was in a bad state and had given me the wrong phone number to contact Michelle. I did not reply. Almost an hour after that message, she text me again and said that Michelle had told her she reached out and left a message, they have a record of it, and maybe I missed it. I explained that I did get the phone call, but as I said earlier, I chose not to answer because I thought it would be an apology and an attempt to smooth things over, which I was not interested in. The owner then told me to find another place to go, they didn't need people like me, and threatened that if I wrote a bad review they would have "proof I was lying." Along with these texts, she sent me a screenshot where you can clearly see Michelle saying I, the customer, was full of it. I felt the need to write this review as I don't think any of the others accurately reflect the atmosphere of this salon. This whole experience was extremely upsetting and I hope that this review will prevent other people from having the same experience I did. Still in shock that a business owner is so willing to openly share the conversation she had with her employee in which she stated I'm full of it. As a business owner, you go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction, not bad mouth a client, especially in a situation where the client is correct. read more

Absolutely love love love the atmosphere, the ladies that run the business and of course my lashes! I've been coming here for a year and a half now and they have never ever failed to make sure I am comfortable and leave with beautiful lashes! The studio they work in is a very comfortable environment and you don't feel any pressure as you would in an actual salon. The two ladies, Marisol and Michelle are extremely nice and they've been doing lashes for a very longs time and you can tell from the work they do! I wanted to update that I was unable to go to Ooh'lah Lash before my wedding as schedules just didn't align, so I ended up at another salon nearby (not in Highland Park) that I won't mention specifically. That experience was rushed and product got in my eye! I was left alone for 20 minutes at a time while the technician helped other customers. Such a contrast to the service at Ooh'lah Lash and solidified that I will not be going anywhere else for service to my lashes. No idea if the lash service is good or not since I drove 20 minutes to get there, stood outside their door for 15 minutes and why I finally called was told by Michelle, that she had written the wrong date for my appointment down. I had received a confirmation text so I am sure the error was not mine. She then told me she could drive from Kenosha and be there in 45 minutes.
