Threading Trends still has my business 8 solid years later. This is still the best deal for your money in the area, and although the weekend hours aren't always the most convenient, you will get in and out pretty quickly. This isn't a high end or high tech salon, but it gets the job done, and is great for those on a budget who don't want to end up with some weird infection or bad wax job. Prices are low. Service is quick. Service producers are nice. 10% cash discount. HOWEVER, they double/triple/quadruple dip the sticks into the waxing pot. So if you come in for a lip wax and I just got my Brazilian done, guess what!? You're getting the bacteria that got picked up off of my private area put on your upper lip. I loved this place until I realized how unsanitary it is. That's probably what keeps the prices so low! read more

It kind of makes me giggle that it's hidden in the back go the grocery store haha, I was thoroughly confused the first day I went. This is by far my favorite place to get waxed or threaded. I used to go to the one in Libertyville when it was open, but with the consistency of this company, I'm willing to make the 30 min drive from lake bluff to Mundelin. More like a 2.5 stars, for being generous. During off times, the store worker here would always be on the phone. Very unprofessional. There is always just 1 person working here at a time. I noticed that they do not clean the scissor or comb they used on other people before using it on to the next person, that is SO SKETCH. The first time I had my eyebrows threaded here, it was OK, acceptable. Second time a different lady, she made my eyebrows look worse. Yes this place is cheap. how can you beat $7, but I think I need to pay a bit more to get some quality. read more

I started getting my eyebrows done at the Arlington heights location a few years ago and loved the way the ladies did them! When I moved further north I switched over to the Libertyville location which has recently closed :( but thankfully the Mundelein one is on my way home from work! I love how my eye brows look from threading vs waxing. The lines are much more precise, it doesn't pull off all the hair around your eye brows and it lasts much longer. Also the tinting they use here is henna and it looks better and lasts longer than any other stuff they use elsewhere. I highly recommend going to any of the threading trends to get your eye brows done! Oh and it's way better priced than most other places. read more

Stay away if you value your eyebrows! Maybe I'm too trusting, but I would think that a place called 'Threading Trends' would know how to thread well; Especially something as standard as eyebrows. I left with two mismatched eyebrows: One thick, the other thin and neither with any shape. I even commented after the woman said that she was done that one looked MUCH thicker than the other and she brushed me off and said they were fine. I got in the car, popped down the mirror and teared up. This place is such a disappointment - I recommend staying clear and spending a few extra bucks to avoid embarrassment and heartbreak. read more

I used to be a fan until a recent experience; I've never been so frustrated! I arrived to an empty 'salon' and decided to have a seat and wait since there was no note on the counter or door that indicated the staff was on break or away for a period of time. I noticed a coat and purse of an employee and figured she'd be right back. I sat and waited about 5 minutes until I heard noises in the little 'room' where more private services such as body waxings are performed. Again, with no sign or note indicating that an appointment had been taken and no return time posted, I continued to wait stupidly assuming that it wouldn't be much longer. 15 minutes into my wait, an employee sticks her head out of the door and says, "Hi, I'm going to be 10 more minutes." I responded, "10 more minutes? I've already been waiting 15." She told me that she was providing service for a scheduled appointment (really?? a cut out in GARDEN FRESH now takes appointments???). I again, even more stupidly, continued to wait. 25 minutes after waiting since the woman told me 10 minutes and after a total of 40 minutes waiting with no sign or posting or indication that the staff was servicing an appointment, I left. Me and my bushy eyebrows will now be going somewhere else. I had been a loyal Threading Trends customer for several years, but I can say that I'm throwing in the towel. I think the concept and prices are good, however, I refuse to waste my time while I'm lied to. I've very disappointed and would strongly suggest that you consider other options so you don't get caught in the same situation I was in, I'm sure it'll become a vicious pattern at this location. This is the worst place I have been too! I usually don't review any places, unless an until it truly makes an effect on me! Sadly, this is one of those places and I am writing, so that no one else gets to experience what I did! I went there to get my underarms waxed and to my horror, I was in terrible pain for a week. My underarms were severely burned by the wax they used and I was unable to even keep my hands at rest! I complained and they refunded the money and was told that the Owner will follow up with me within 3 days, but still no call! I am left with dark patches due to the burn on my underarms now :( Would never ever recommend anyone to this place!! read more

This is best place for facial in area, Archana does very nice message and take care well.

The place is OK. The person doing the eyebrows needed to be told how you want the final look to be. She just took out extra and was scared to do anything else. Facial was also OK. I felt that other places spend more time massaging but this place just kept putting one mask after another. For whatever little massage they did, it was all wrong techniques and directions. I hope someone can give some training to these ladies on facial and eyebrows. read more

This is a place where you can expect worst hospitality. I did facial here and she got one more lady to practice on me. She knew nothing and they treated me like specimen in waxing and threading too. Even after letting them know I am uncomfortable she showed faces and had no kind of apologizing gestures or words. Would never visit this place again. read more
