The couple was very nice & welcoming. The man did my nails & toes in 1 hr. I'm happy it didn't take long but they weren't shaped how I like coffin. They were bulky and oval shaped. They're pretty pricey for rushed work. My nails lifted in 1 week. My toes were decent just not worth the price.

Full set, nude powder and clear gel. $50.

They're currently taking appointments only. I think $50 is overpriced for a short powder set with clear gel. The end product was overall nice, but a little bumpy and bubbly. Also the top coat left a single black fleck on two of my fingers.

This is absolutely fabulous nail salon! They were ready at my appointment time and the acrylics they did for me were expertly done and add a good price. Would highly recommend!

I love my nails so much

Was up in the area while waiting for a family member to have a procedure at Lake Forest Hospital…read more and had a few hours to kill, so decided last minute to see if they could accomodate for a manicure. When I called, was told they do not do walkins- but could make an appointment if I could get there in the next 10 min. Not sure if the no apt policy is new to their reopening, but I totally agree with it as the best way to keep fewer people in a confined space. On the inside, they had a TON of protective equipment- plexiglass between each station as well as between the technician and client. They were also taking temperatures, and everything was disposable- from the soaking bowl for nails to paper towels instead of washcloths, etc. On top of that, the entire salon was spotlessly clean. As for the manicure - I went for a gel no chip. It was a little more expensive than my place in the city ($40 total, its about $30 at my usual place). But honestly, worth the extra $$ for the level of cleanliness/ protective gear. Tons of color options and I love that they have them all painted on acrylics in a big book - much easier to see than just looking at the colors on the shelf. Also, they had TONS of white options which is my go to in summer- loved that you could distinguish between a plain white, shiny white and sparkle white (totally different, iykyk). I was in and out in about an hour, which is pretty fantastic. Super glad I stumbled on this place and trusted the reviews! Would absolutely go back if I am ever in the area.

I don't know how to pronounce your name but if you look at my photo her name is on that card I guess she's there every day but Sunday. The facility is very nice and very clean they put up plastic liner in the pedicure area and when they do your manicure they open up a bag of sterilize tools lots of plexiglass around and there's also a sink next to the manicure table so after they found your nails you can just wash your hands. Very convenient. They have a nice selection of colors good social distancing good sanitation I would highly recommend this place and the manicure so I want to ensure six days a week my other girls there only on Mondays.

The entire staff was rude from the…read moresecond I walked in -- no greeting, no warmth, just an attitude like I was inconveniencing them by showing up. I had a gift card for a manicure and pedicure and was told over the phone they could only fit me in for the pedicure that day, but that I could come back the next day for the manicure at no additional charge. Sounded reasonable -- until I showed up. Suddenly, they tried to tell me that splitting the services would cost more because the gift card included a discount for doing both at once. I was furious -- I had just confirmed with them by phone that this wouldn't be an issue. After pushing back, they reluctantly said they could do the manicure, but only if it happened at the same time as my pedicure. Mind you, there wasn't a single other customer in the salon and I arrived well over an hour before closing. The service itself was rushed, impersonal, and I felt like they couldn't wait to get me out the door. In fact, they basically kicked me out 30 minutes before their posted closing time, again, despite the place being completely empty. Save yourself the frustration -- there are too many other salons in the area to waste time or money here. I'll never go back.

Honestly the first thing I noticed was that the ownership changed. Ordinarily I wouldn't care but I missed seeing Grace & Kristina. I've been a customer at least 10 years. I know that staff changes when ownership changes. The one thing I noticed it was one of the fastest pedicures I've ever had. The main reason women treat themselves is to relax. It was difficult to relax when I felt rushed. My pedicure lasted 25 minutes. It was a good pedicure. I loved my color, my leg massage, and the hot towel was wonderful. I just wished it lasted longer.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Party Nails in Waukegan. This was my fifth visit,…read moreand I had always gone there for a simple pedicure. During my most recent visit, the manager talked me into getting a manicure as well. I believed I was receiving a basic manicure and pedicure, so I was shocked when my bill came to $105 before tip. My previous visits had been around $65. I later realized that gel polish had been applied. I never specifically requested gel polish and generally avoid it because it has damaged my nails in the past. About three weeks later, I returned to have the gel removed and get a pedicure with regular polish. At that point, the owner told me they "never use regular nail polish." I found that very difficult to believe, especially since I had never requested gel polish and was never clearly informed that it was being used. As a disabled customer living on a fixed income, I need to know exactly what services I am receiving and what they will cost. Instead, I felt like services were added without being properly explained, resulting in a much higher bill than expected. When I tried to address my concerns, I felt dismissed rather than helped. What upset me most was the lack of transparency and communication. Customers should be clearly told when they are receiving upgraded services that cost significantly more. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere and cannot recommend Party Nails to others.

Sam who did my nails cut me and I tried to stop him many times and asked him to wash my hands he said wait till he finishes shaping. I said ok. Once I washed my hands I asked for alcohol. Sam gave me some alcohol. I'm trying to not get an infection because the cut is deep. Then I go to pay. My total was $55 and when I was about to make the payment I see that the machine says $56.10. I asked the guy behind the desk why is it $56.10 and he said there is a 2% card fee. I told him you can't surcharge debit card transactions because it is illegal and to take off the fee. He refused. He said there is no way for him to do it. I said you can adjust the $55 to make it $55 with the fee. He said no. I tried to explain to him again that they can be fined for this and that I can file a complaint with visa for refusing to take off the fee and for charging debit card fees. He said to me do you want me to call the cops so you can file a complaint and took the phone pretending to dial 911. I told him you don't file a complaint with the police but visa and Mastercard. I asked for the owners phone number and name and he refused to provide it to me. So he wanted me to call the police to report this. I am in disbelief. I will file a complaint with visa. It may be that the swipe companies are not setting up businesses up correctly but they should know better. Image below from visa clearly stating that you can't surcharge debit cards.
