Incredible dinner! Make sure to make a reservation especially on a Saturday evening but it fills up. We ordered the clams oreganata, penne alla vodka, filet, Chilean sea bass, tiramisu and chocolate mouse cake. The Chilean sea bass was amazing. It fell apart and the outside was so crispy. The filet was cooked perfectly and seasoned really well. I didn't think I had room left but the tiramisu was so light, airy and delicious. You could tell it was definitely homemade. The service was outstanding as well! I'd 100% recommend this spot for a special occasion or date night! Can't wait to come back!

Came here early on a Saturday night for dinner. My table ordered the clams oreganata, filet mignon, Chilean sea bass, and penna vodka. Every dish was seasoned well, nothing too salty or lacking seasoning. Our server was incredible, answered any questions we had and made sure that any requests we made when ordering was followed. Service was excellent. We finished with chocolate mousse cake for dessert. It was sweet but not overly rich, it was a perfect way to end the meal. The restaurant is definitely on the pricier side so more of a special occasion type of restaurant. The owner of the establishment was the hostess. He has been with the restaurant for over 40 years and very personable.

We booked our wedding to be in the catering & events side of the building but wanted to celebrate our 1 year countdown at the restaurant & boy was that the right decision. From the moment we came in the staff was friendly & attentive. A small antipasto was put out with some warm bread immediately after we were seated. The high ceilings and soft instrumental music really set a romantic mood. I got a baileys espresso martini and my fiancé got a whisky sour- excellent. We ordered the buffalo mozzarella special and fried calamari for appetizers. Both items were so fresh and made to perfection. For our entrees I got the short rib special with mushroom risotto and he got the serloin NY strip.. every other bite we were singing the chefs praises. We ended the night with decaf capacious, a creme brulee, & a slice of NY cheesecake. Phenomenal experience from start to finish & are assured we made the right choice for our big day next year.

The food was amazing!! I had the veal chop with roaster peppers, mushrooms, and garlic I asked for medium rare and it was cooked perfectly! We also had the veal rack which was pounded and stuffed with prosciutto and cheese. My sister had the seafood with a side of troife pasta and s he e loved it! The waiter was very professional and alert to our needs. As far as the place it was amazing with high ceilings, large chandeliers, white linen table cloths. It is one that f the best Italian restaurants I have been to!!

Came here to celebrate an early anniversary with my husband. The venue itself is beautiful and very close to where we live. We have driven past that many times and have wanted to try their restaurant. As soon as we got into the property, the landscaping is gorgeous. They have valet service and to get to the front of the venue you drive under what felt like a gorgeous canopy of greenery and flowers. When you enter, there are beautiful, large chandeliers and light fixtures with a gorgeous bar (picture) with the restaurant to the right. We were greeted warmly, and as we walked through a restaurant, all of the servers greeted us hello. They had a very professional staff and the food was top-notch. We ordered drinks that came out very quickly as well as the lump crab meat cocktail to start. It was delicious and flavorful and we were happy we didn't order more because we wound up getting very full from our entrées. Tonight my husband had the veal special that came with a veal chop stuffed with prosciutto with a mushroom sauce. I chose the Bronzino special that came on a bed of sautéed spinach. We also ordered the truffle mashed potatoes as a side, which perfectly complemented both of our meals. I had no room for dessert but opted for a espresso martini which I regretted ordering at the onset lol A beautiful dinner in a romantic setting. Definitely would recommend the establishment. Top-notch service, a gorgeous venue, and delicious food. Thank you, I'll Villaggio

Came to IL Villaggio for a wedding and it was fabulous. I've passed this venue a million times and this is the first time attending an event. From the moment you are directed inside, by your Valet, you are treated like royalty. The decor is aesthetically pleasing, the food is delicious, the restrooms are immaculate, and the service is amazing. Throughout the entire celebration, the attention to detail was noticed, admired, and appreciated. Every single dish was cooked to perfection, well presented, and everyone enjoyed every bite. I am very glad that I got to experience how IL Villaggio handled every aspect of our gathering and I highly recommend it.

Il Villaggio went above and beyond to make my daughter's 18th Birthday spectacular. Chris, Ralph, and the staff were so accommodating to our needs. The food was excellent and the presentation was top notch. We have gotten so many compliments on her party and it's all because of Chris and the guidance at Il Villaggio. If you planning on having a party in New Jersey don't hesitate to give Il Villaggio a call. They will treat you like family just like they did for me.

We recently threw my daughter's Bridal Shower at the restaurant. Chris the banquet manager went beyond for us. His suggestions for our menu were perfect. All the guests raved about the food and the desserts. Sean was our bartender and he made the best Cosmos!! And last but not least there is Ralph the owner. He cannot be a better host!! For your next event, go check out Il Villagio. You will not be disappointed. Instead you will be amazed!!

The menu isn't massive, but they cover every category with extreme precision and do it really well. Seafood, pasta, veal, chicken, and all the classic appetizers you can think of from stuffed artichokes, zucchini blossoms, and house-made burrata. The ambiance is old-school Italian in the best way: timeless, romantic, and cozy. It works just as well for an intimate date night as it does for a small group dinner. Bonus points for being BYOB. We ordered the veal marsala and the seafood pomodoro. The veal was pounded to perfection and swimming in a ridiculously addictive sauce. The seafood pasta was cooked perfectly and loaded with fresh shrimp, clams, and mussels and you can taste the quality and care put in the food. Meals are served with a salad to start, and you can expect to spend around $35 per entrée, which feels more than fair for the quality. We were genuinely impressed and were treated with a lot of attention throughout the meal. The concept of the restaurant being run by two italian twins was honestly so sweet. Highly recommend if you're looking for classic Italian done right without trekking into the city.

Very warm, welcoming and chic. The service was great, our waitress was very helpful with recommendations. For my drink I got the Sage Whisper. It was delicious. I would definitely recommend if you enjoy gin. We ordered the Feta cheese turnover. It was good but could definitely be better. The block of feta was so massive that it overpowered the dish. If they use like half the amount of feta and added more honey it would've been perfect. I was also expecting apricot to be incorporated into it, but it was just on the side. If they had a layer of apricot jam inside that would literally take it to the next level. For dinner I ordered the Bistecca. My steak was could perfectly but the flavor was a little lacking. Luckily I love steak so i still enjoyed it but I think if it was sliced and topped with the chimichurri and some flaky salt it would've been a lot more flavorful. The steak was also a very generous portion. I did have my eye on the Orecchiette Rabe e Sausage. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd definitely come back to try it.

For food, we decided to order a bunch of things to share: -Zucchini fritte (with lemon aioli dipping sauce) - this was thin and perfectly crispy but somehow not oily. It was addicting -Arancini - these were okay. Could have used more meat -Margherita pizza - can't go wrong with a margherita. I do wish the actual crust was thinner -Meatball & Co pizza (meatballs, sweet sausage, cherry peppers, tomato sauce, mozzarella & ricotta cheese) - same with the crust situation. The description also said cherry peppers but they also added jalapenos, which is not a big deal - just a call out. The sausage was alright -Seafood fra Diavolo (sauteed clams, calarami, mussels, spicy tomato sauce) - sauce could have used a bit more spice. They don't skimp on the seafood though. But the staff was incredibly welcoming right from the start, and that alone earns them five stars. You never know what to expect in a new neighborhood, but they set the tone immediately. The vibe of the restaurant is very comfortable. It is the kind of spot you walk into after a long day or a productive day and you just know you are about to eat something good. It feels like a family run place, even if it is not actually run by family. It has that warmth. You can tell it is an important part of the neighborhood. I even noticed pictures of community members on the wall, which says a lot. Now, the food. There is hot food, cold food, and plenty of items you can take home. I ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich, and let me tell you, it was the size of a skinny football. I am not exaggerating. It took me almost a day and a half to finish it. It tasted exceptional, and I actually had to stop myself from eating the whole thing in one sitting so I would not slip into a food coma. One tip, eat it while it is hot. That is when it is at its peak power. My friend agreed with me about the overall vibe and quality. If I am ever in the neighborhood again, I will gladly go out of my way just to try more of their dishes. You do not find spots like this easily. New York City has great food, but a place with this combination of warmth, quality, portion size, and charm is rare. In another city, this could easily be a reservation only spot packed every night. THE GOOD ----------------…read more+ Food flavors were solid, but there were definitely some misses and things that could have been a bit better (mentioned below). ++++ Calamari wasn't spectacular, but it was still decent. It could have been a bit crispier. ++++ Lentil Soup that was served with our entrees was very good. It didn't come out hot, but instead lukewarm, however it was very flavorful. ++++ Chicken Parmigiana was hugeeeeee! It was 1 gynormous piece of breaded chicken on a plate to itself! The linguine was on its own side plate. The chicken parm was fantastic though - lots of sauce, crispy exterior and delicious. ++++ Filet of Sole stuffed with Crab Meat was exactly how I like it, stuffffed to the gills with crab meat! It was basically a giant crab cake wrapped with a filet of sole and it was mmm mmmm good. It came with a vegetable medley and a round potato croquette. ++++ Surf and Turf was to my liking, but not my better half's. The steak was requested at medium, but it was definitely medium rare. I was perfectly fine with it, but not my wife. The lobster tail was excellent though. ++++ Ricotta Pistachio Cheesecake was delicious! Very soft and different than your average solid cheesecake. Get it! + Restaurant is suppppper spacious with 2 dining rooms and lots of tables. + Huge parking lot all around the restaurant. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Undercooked steak mentioned above was a semi-biggie. It was rarer than we preferred. - Small mishap with our entree starters where we asked for 2 Lentil soups, but they gave us 2 salads instead. - Service was slowwwwwwww throughout our Christmas Eve dinner. -------The waiters were definitely busy, but we spent 2+ hours here for dinner and the time between dishes was much longer than we're used to at other restaurants. ---- Everyone was pleasant to us, but we did feel a bit of bias towards other customers - as in food was dropped off at our table and then the waiter would jet away, while at other tables there seemed to be a lot more mingling going on between the waiter and the customers. Not sure if it was because we had kids with us or other factors. ---- Not one time did anyone come by to check on how we were doing or if our dishes were to our liking. MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = The food sort of - mentioned above. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = We arrived at 6PM and dined till 8:15PM on Christmas Eve and the restaurant was busy, but not overly so. We made a reservation, but there were plenty of open tables. = They served from a condensed Holiday menu for Christmas Eve. CONCLUSION -------------------- = The food was up and down, but mostly up for me.
