Where to begin ? The wine list is all obscure Italian wines. We tried all the wines on the list. Uniformly disappointing esp at $17-$18 per glass. The food was at best mediocre. Not nearly as good as their sister restaurant in Golden Cove. My entree was delivered to the wrong table. Our waiter was less than friendly, seemed put out by any request. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, but what truly made the night unforgettable was the personal touch from the chef himself. As we were enjoying our meal, he came over to our table and showed us videos of him hand making the pasta that very morning, talk about fresh! We started with the Lenticchie salad, a perfect, flavorful opener. For mains, we had the Mezzelune di Crostacei and Orecchiette con Camarones, both absolutely divine, with pasta that was silky, tender, and bursting with flavor. Everything was paired perfectly with two refreshing Aperol Spritz. To top it all off, the entire restaurant joined in to sing a surprise birthday song for my friend, making the night even more festive and memorable. The energy in the room was joyful, the service was genuine, and the food, truly authentic Italian magic. Lovely restaurant with a great patio but it was not a great meal . Upon walking in there was a sewage smell by the host station . Luckily we could not smell this at our table . The service was very good and the calamari was crispy and tasty with a mediocre mustard sauce . The salads look like looked and tasted like bagged salad . My eggplant parm was mushy , had way too much cheese and was lacking in flavor . My husbands special pasta with pork cheek had very little meat and the pasta was undercooked and chewy . We have dined here about 4 times so far and thoroughly enjoy our experience each visit. Bartolomeo's handmade pasta is a delightful treat! We really enjoyed his energy and kindness. We have enjoyed multiple pasta dishes and there hasn't been one we have not liked yet. We look forward to another "date night" out again. I've been waiting for this restaurant to open up the past couple weeks and so happy I got to enjoy this weekend! I sat and the bar and they had such a cute set up and very comfortable cute chairs to sit on. I had delicious food, drinks, and dessert! I read a few of the reviews and am glad I still tried it last night. My experience was only from one visit, but very solid. We had the large oval table in the middle and I was surprised at how affordable the food was based on what I had read. We had a few apps which were fine and then I ordered the lasagna, which was very hardy and delicious. My wife ordered the Bronzino, which was a very substantial serving and quite tasty. She had to actually take some home. The rest of our group was also happy with their items. Desserts were also very tasty. I would like to go back and try a few more dishes and highly recommend it. read more

Our first time in Il Posto was wonderful. I ordered the stuffed ravioli (mezzelune di crostacei) and my husband ordered the Branzino fish dishes. We both enjoyed our food very much. Our waiter Josue was kind and friendly, his wine recommendation paired well with our food. Since, we were in an Italian place, we had Tiramisu for desert, which was also sooo delicious. Our first experience at Il Posto was good. It's a cozy place with welcoming decor. Our waiter Gary was great. He made good recommendations and checked on us often. We started with cocktails and the Beef Carpaccio. Yummy. I ordered the Ossobuco which was wonderful. Very flavorful. My partner ordered the New York Steak. While not as good as the Ossobuco, it was okay. I took home leftovers of both and didn't throw anything out. It did get a bit loud, I guess because it is a smaller space. I really liked it and the service. I hope it stays around for a long time. read more

Just tried this new Italian restaurant in Riviera Village...I'll Posto. We has a delicious meal served by such helpful waiter staff. Bartolomeo, our waiter, also makes the homemade pasta which changes daily. We had the Oricchiette with shrimp that melted in our mouths. The Veal Scaloppine with mushrooms was tender and very flavorful and the vegetables that came with it were cooked perfectly, especially the Fingerling potatoes.
