This recently opened restaurant is small and cozy, serving a variety of Italian food. We walked in and were seated near the bar. We were served by a very nice man, Josuan (maybe not the correct name spelling). He was attentive and polite. We ordered a bottle of Wine and a drink he brought them right over. We really enjoyed the delicious Cartoccio Di Pasta Al Frutti Di Mare a mixed seafood and Linguine wrapped in foil and baked was to die for, Meravigliosa. The Eggplant was equally as good. We did not know what to expect being a new restaurant now we know it was worth every penny.! Will be back, compliments to the bartender who helped us.

Dropped in for the delicious Torta Al Pistachio and an Espresso Martini. Emma was the waitress and did an excellent job checking on the table during dessert. I'd definitely return and eat here because everything looked and smelled amazing.

The only reason I'm giving this place a 2 is because of the great service. The staff were incredibly accommodating for my wife and newborn on a busy Valentine's Day night. We walked up and got sat outside at a great table. The host was super friendly and the waiter was top notch. Sadly the food was a different story. The expensive Caesar salad was clearly from Costco as well as the Frutti Di mare pasta, which was the frozen Costco cioppino with added boxed pasta. My wife's veal were three small paper thin slices with reheated frozen vegetables on the side. It was clear that everything was frozen and reheated from a package. Diners beware that this place sells itself as a small mom and pop Italian spot but it's really part of the same group as hook and plow, yellow vase, etc. Being part of the same group even made it more disappointing. I really hope that they focus on getting fresh ingredients, fresh pasta and fresh seafood. We didn't finish our dinners and we are on our way to pick up Fatto Manno down the street.

Don't go for lunch, they don't open according to their posted hours. The manager was not friendly at all. Took the fam and I was having a good day until I met him OOF

Heard about the newly opened IL Posta from our daughter, so we decided to check it out for a weekday lunch. They've got a solid lunch menu with special prices, and on Tuesdays you even get a free drink -- nice little perk. We tried a couple of pastas and they came out well. The pasta itself had a nice al dente bite, which I really appreciate. The Alfredo sauce was the star -- creamy, cheesy, and just right. The vodka sauce leaned a little on the sour side, but still tasty overall. We also shared a flatbread; flavor was fine but I wished the crust had more crispiness to it. Service was responsive and friendly, and parking was easy with plenty of street options nearby. Overall, a good new addition to the Riviera Village dining scene -- looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu.

The decor of the place is very well done and it's beautiful! The service is very good, excellent! There were only 2 tables. I just found out this is the same owners of Avenue A Italian restaurant in Palos Verdes. So if you love that restaurant, you will love this place. I will be honest, not my favorite on the PV hill so my expectation for this new spot wasn't high, but was hopeful... Food: * calamari - greasy and the batter wasn't very crunchy. 6/10 * beef carpaccio - it was mediocre at best. Nothing really stood out for me. 7/10 Entrées: * Ossobucco - wasn't melt in your mouth tender like it should have been for $58. Taste was mediocre. It needs to be braised a lot longer than what they claimed it has been braising for.... 5/10 * salmon with lemon with butter & caper sauce. Salmon was fresh since they have deliveries on Mondays & Thurs. But to me, it was a big dry n over cooked. $38 7/10 (my kid liked it) I find the food to be just ok for the price of what they charge, same as Avenue A Italian restaurant. I find it to be over priced mediocre Italian. Food wise 3-31/2 stars. Since it's been only open for 3 days the food might get better...? They only have 2 homemade pastas on their menu. Maybe they will bring more fresh homemade pastas. I really had high hopes for a good local Italian restaurant. After the final bill of close to $300 for 2 appetizers, 3 three entrées, two small bottles of sparkling water, and one glass of wine. Well.., felt a bit disappointed.... I don't mind spending this price or more when I have had an excellent meal. This place left me with a content belly but to my taste buds something a miss... A little of craving for something more... I did not think it transported back to Italy as their profile says it will... wish it did! I miss and dream about when I was in Italy! The closest restaurant that reminds me of Italy to me is Il Pastaio in BH, Madeo in BH. Would I go back again..? I don't think so.

Only snapped a picture of the dessert but WOW!!! If you're looking for homemade pasta, made fresh daily, THIS is the place. Our waiter, is not only a waiter, but someone that makes the pasta daily. So you know they are invested in what they are serving. Our server was knowledgeable and was very helpful in choosing what to order and also treated us extremely well. The fresh pasta was chefs kiss . To start was the burrata pugliese which was a fresh and refreshing start to the meal. I got the penne allá liguare while other got the lasagna bolognese and messelune di crostacei... all plates were cleaned . The ambiance is both open and private between the indoor and outdoor seating. It is tucked away on the corner so can be easily missing, but you don't want to miss this place! Highly recommend and look forward to coming back.

A delicious sweet/savory appetizer that did not disappoint! (Prosciutto + cantaloupe.)

Our first time trying this wonderful restaurant has us already looking forward to our next visit. Food and service were on point and it's a delightful ambiance they've created in the space. We're very grateful to have places of this caliber so close to home.

It was my first time at it posto and my daughter and I fully enjoyed it! We had the fresh pasta dish "Oricchieile Bariolioteo" and loved it! Our waitress was very accommodating and let us try a couple samples of wine before we ultimately decided on a cocktail instead. Her Cadillac margaritas were killer!! We were so impressed with the pasta maker (Bartolotteo) and the sauce maker, see photo! Great atmosphere too, we enjoyed sitting outdoors with our dog.

Penne vodka and spaghetti pomodoro, bread

Great service from John! So accommodating. The food was fast and fresh. The pasta stayed hot our entire meal, which is a skill you don't even think about. We also ordered the vegetable plate which was wonderfully seasoned. Beautiful restaurant and decor. So friendly. We love it here!

    Tami V.

The new Italian restaurant in Riviera. It is now our favorite place. Everything we had was very good! Service was a little slow but friendly. We'd definitely come back to try other dishes.

Awesome salmon but where's the Parmesan cheese?

UPDATE! We came…read moreback about a month later to celebrate Hubbers' birthday, but the experience wasn't the same. I'm guessing since they're coming to a permanent closure, it only makes sense that the quality of the experience (food and service) had began to going down. We were seated immediately, so we were off to a good start. It took a bit of time for Daniel (yep! We got the same server from the last time) to come around and get our orders. It wasn't too bad since the wait gave us the opp to decide on apps and mains, so we got to put all our orders in at once. CALAMARI: Battered thin and crispy. Dash of lemon juice made it better. Quality? Yes. Quantity? Not so much. I thought it was pricey for the amount we got. PEPPERCORN POLPETTINE: Meatballs in cream sauce. Even with the whole peppercorns, the sauce was good. The meatballs, however, didn't taste or look homemade at all. (I recently made frozen meatball soup at home and the meatball's flavor was pretty much similar.) So.. meh... BRUSCHETTA ALLA CHECCA: This was the best app out of the three. Crostini was perfect and the toppings were all perfectly balanced. SPAGHETTI AI NERO DI SEPPIA: Looked great, but lacked flavor. Asked for fresh grated cheese and added black pepper which helped a little, but still missing something... Hubbers got the linguine pesca mare which he loved (he emptied his plate!) So I guess that says a lot. And I'm really glad he liked it, being his birthday and all. He also chose crème brûlée to finish off his birthday treat. (No, they didn't comp it - which is fine, and I don't expect them - or any business - to, even more since they are shutting down. I understand they need all the profit they can get.) Overall a little less stellar than the first visit. I'll admit I was a teenee bit disappointed since we had an amazing experience the first time. All the same, I'm still glad of the experience and wish them well on their future endeavors!

There's a real chew here--a springy, structured bite that gives just enough resistance before yielding. It's deeply satisfying and makes every dish feel more intentional. The cappelloni shows it off best: that almost-famous sauce wraps around each piece, but the pasta holds its own, so you get that perfect balance of silky and structured. Same with the tangiello--the meat sauce tastes like it's been simmering for days, rich and layered, but the noodles never get lost because that chew carries through. The Caesar isn't an afterthought either. It's got a subtle spicy kick that wakes everything up, and if you add chicken, it's done right--well-seasoned, nicely grilled, juicy with a bit of char. It turns a classic into something you actually remember. Dinner is where things go a little heartier, and the pork chop delivers. Fall-off-the-bone tender, but still full of flavor--not just soft for the sake of it. Jame just gets the fundamentals right, then pushes a little further. Thoughtful, textured, and the kind of place where even the chew of the pasta becomes part of the experience.

I was impressed with the clean and modern look of Jane Enoteca from the moment I walked in. Their dishes consist of several handmade pastas, salads and Italian inspired comfort food. My friend and I chose to start our meals with the Meatballs and Brussels Sprouts. Being a Brussels Sprouts fan, I really enjoyed their roasted crispy Brussels sprouts that were tossed in schiaffoni dressing and finished with sesame. Equal in deliciousness were their Meatballs. The Meatballs were tender, rich and saucy. These starters were a great way to kick off our meal here. For our mains, we got their Paccheri Lisci and Tonnarelli. The Paccheri Lisci had a bit of a spicy kick to it. It has spicy pork sausage sugo, fennel, sage and pecorino. It was meaty and flavorful. The Tonnarelli or Cacio e Pepe contrasted nicely with the Paccheri Lisci. This pasta dish was simple, sharp and peppery. This was more bold versus saucy. Last but not least we had some cookies for dessert. I loved the fresh baked snickerdoodle and chocolate chip cookies. It was a sweet and perfect ending to the meal here. Overall, I really enjoyed dining at Jame Enoteca. I am now looking forward to trying out their sister restaurant Jame Taqueria down the street.
