Joanne's Table in Fairfield is truly phenomenal!…read more I've spent quite a bit of time enjoying this restaurant, photographing the food, and taking in everything Joanne's Table has to offer--and it continues to impress every single time. There is so much care and attention to detail in both the food and the overall dining experience. Some of the standout dishes include the Chicken Parmesan with linguine and garlic butter sauce, the cod with lemon risotto and broccoli, and the veal Milanese. Everything is beautifully presented and full of flavor. The salads are fantastic as well, especially the Mista and the yellow beet salad with goat cheese. And if you have room for dessert, save it! Their dessert menu is phenomenal. The chocolate cake and lemon lava cake are incredible, and the desserts are made fresh. I also love that the bread is delivered fresh every day from a local bakery. That kind of attention to freshness really makes a difference. Other favorites include the branzino, the zucchini rotini, and the Supplì--iconic Roman fried rice croquettes made with tomato-seasoned risotto rice, melted mozzarella in the center, and crispy breadcrumbs. They're absolutely delicious and a must-try appetizer. Joanne's Table is one of those restaurants where you can keep coming back and still discover something new. The food, presentation, freshness, and variety make it a standout in Fairfield. It's like home. So warm and inviting. Five stars without hesitation. Highly recommended!

We've been wanting to try out Joanne's Table for a while after seeing all the great reviews, and…read morewell... it's absolutely phenomenal. It's a small restaurant with about 10 tables, without much parking out front. When you enter, it feels like home. Everyone seems to know each other. Joanne herself greeted us at the door - she was wonderful host throughout the night. Ok let's get to the food because it is excellent. We started with the meatballs with whipped ricotta and the mushroom crostini. Both were incredible. The meatballs (which come 2 per order) were the size of my fist - you could tell they had been marinating all day. Moist, soft, juicy, they were among the best I've ever had. Now the mushroom crostini - unreal. They're cooked with pears, so they have a sweet earthy flavor, and placed on goat cheese on delicious fresh bread. To die for. I'm going to be honest, we were almost full by the time the entrees arrived. Between us we got the chicken parmigiana, which comes with a side of garlic linguine, the fettuccine vingole (white wine and clams) and a simple plate of spaghetti. All of these were excellent, the chicken parm in particular. Unfortunately we did not save room for dessert, but will try to next time since we've heard so many good things about the sweets here. What Joanne had built here is truly special. I can't wait to be back!

The space was classy but still casual enough, and cozy. I ordered the Howyoudoin' off the cocktail menu and the gnocci in a pink sauce; also shared the rice balls; absolutely loved everything. The concept of the restaurant is totally relatable for my Italian American family and I find it very funny - cannot wait to bring them in here to try. All staff were super nice. The merch is funny too.

The menu is some what tied into the Puglia region, which is the heel of the boot. I could tell the italian dialect from the owner when he was speaking to one of the staff, it immediately gave me a good feeling that this restaurant would be really good. The appetizers we had were all really good, we had the fried calamari, the grilled Octopusss, the fried zucchini flowers and thd hummus special. Sorry no pics of these. We had a couple of the Orrechiette Barese, Chicken parmigiana, a pasta special of fettuccine with shrimp in a cream and pesto sauce, another pasta with cavatelli, shrimp and cream and pesto sauce, really couldn't see the pesto, probably could have used a little more or maybe a little finishing with the pesto on top. Service was good and the owner came around to introduce himself and we got a complimentary round of their homemade creama di limencello to finish off the experience. Wr wouldn't hesitate to go again the next time we are in town to see a show.

I ordered a meal to go and because the restaurant was busy I had to wait 45 minutes but that is to be expected. It was fantastic. A great combo that they should always put together. The sauce was so delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly and a nice size portion too. In my take out bag they included a very generous serving of fresh bread and garlic olive oil. (I mean actual cloves of garlic in container of oil!). If you live here you must give this place a try.

We live nearer the Trumbull location but we were celebrating a birthday and the birthday girl loves her mozz sticks. The bread came out and was good. A few minutes later we reminded our waiter that we didn't get the mozzarella. He said it'll be a few more minutes but we are sure he never ordered them at all. So we waited again and they never came. When our entrees arrived we let the waiter know the appetizer never arrived and- and this is the reason for my review- he just looked at us, like we were annoying, mumbled, but said absolutely nothing to us and walked away! What the.. a simple apology or acknowledgement would have gone a long way. We did order them TWICE. He really didn't give a crap, which is so very odd. This waiter is the only thing that stopped us from giving a great review. He was inattentive, never smiled or expressed any sort of personality and really didn't care if we were there or not. We could see that this was not the case with another waiter who actually did check on us, clear plates etc. but he was not our waiter. I think he noticed our poor service. Our waiter had his back to us after serving our dessert, for a very long time. I could see over his shoulder that he was playing on his phone. It looked like he was talking to chat gpt actually. We eventually had to ask for the check. We had also asked what kind of cola and he told us Coca Cola products while actually serving us obviously Pepsi products. Again not the hugest deal but all these things added up to terrible service. I really hate Diet Pepsi. It's far sweeter than Diet Coke. Un drinkable and a waste of money. We did enjoy the food though. It was very good and the reason for the stars. Worth going back for? Not really when Luigi's is right next door. ,

It was topped with shredded mozzarella, ricotta, caramelized onions, truffle oil, and he added sausage. I enjoyed the truffle flavor.. it wasn't overpowering and everything worked well together. The pizza was flavorful, and I can see why it's a popular choice. That said, as a Bronx native, I wouldn't call this New York style pizza, it's not the kind I grew up with. The crust was nice and thin, but toward the center of the pie it got a little soggy. I just wish the crispiness stayed more consistent from edge to center. The restaurant itself has a small takeout area when you first walk in, but through the double doors there's a full dining room with a bar, so it's larger than it initially appears. While we only tried the pizza this visit, after looking at photos of the menu on Yelp, id say their dinner dishes look delicious. I'd definitely come back and try their chicken and pasta!
