My…read moresister had it at Ramen Nagi's Ayala Malls Manila Bay location the day before and loved it, so she told me to try it after flying in to Terminal 3 from Mindoro. Ramen Nagi is inside the Food Hall in Terminal 3 which is located on the 4th floor. Hang to the left when you enter the Food Hall and you'll see it on your right right across from KFC. We got there around 11 am, so it wasn't terribly busy. We got seated right away and proceeded to order the Crab King Ramen. It was the last day of the promo. It looked so impressive when it came. The ramen came with a large piece of nori and a deep fried soft shell crab on top of the models. Michael and I ordered the same thing except that he ordered thin noodles. I ordered the thicker curly noodles. We both agreed that the broth was fantastic. It was milky, not too heavy and so full of umami especially with the crab flavor. We ate the crab as soon as we started as we didn't want it to get soggy. The egg was also perfect. The orange yolk inside was jammy. Definitely perfectly cooked. We also had an order of Karaage which was good (4 stars) and an order of Gyoza which was just okay. It came out piping hot. I have to say that I like the gyoza better at Daikokuya in Little Tokyo LA. I haven't found anything as good as Daikokuya's gyoza. We loved the food so much we decided to have lunch here again the following day. They no longer had the Crab King Ramen. Michael ended up getting a regular Tonkotsu Ramen with Pork Belly and an egg. The egg wasn't as perfectly cooked this time, but he still loved the soup. I decided to order something lighter like Tempura from Akimitsu Tendon. If you're in Terminal 3, definitely check out Ramen Nagi. The ramen is delicious and so inexpensive at under $10.

Dine-in space looked pretty limited although late afternoon seemed like a good time! FOOD Butao King was delicious as always (in comparison to all other branches we've been to). Noodles were extra firm, broth was umami, and the veggies were perfect in quantity. It is still such a convenience to be able to request exactly how you want your ramen to be cooked (on the paper). SERVICE Waiting time was very much acceptable. We hardly had to wait long and the food was served very hot.

The restaurant had a really cute Japan theme with super cute decorations! The food was really good and different. We ordered the Gyoza (php 180), Chicken Karage Caesar Salad (php 190), Hakata Ramen (php 340) and the Cheese Ramen (php 350). The item that stood out to me was the Cheese Ramen, at first I thought that it wouldn't be good and I would get tired of it cause its just cheese and noodles. I ended up liking it because the cheese that they used wasn't overwhelming as I thought it would be. The Hakata Ramen was also really yummy and not too salty. Total ~$20

Ramen with a cheese sounds odd but the taste is surprisingly good…read more The ambience resonates vintage Japan. Hanging lanterns and signages creates an authentic feel of eating along the streets of throwback Tokyo. I came from Asia Pop Comic Con in SMX and it is better to dine outside MOA to avoid the hassle. It was a long, tiring day and a bowl of Ramen is the only thing I have in mind. Good thing there's a branch of Mitsuyado Sei Men in blue bay walk. Tsukemen means "dipping noodles", the art of eating ramen with a separate broth and soup to dip the noodles. The regular bowl of cheese tsukemen is a contention of a savory soup and thick sauce cheese. The taste is confusing on the the onset but I easily acquired the taste. I also ordered ebi tempura don. I have the urge that I deserve to eat noodleas and rice at the same time. The pacing of the service is slow. There's a refillable service tea but they don't serve glass of water. You can also bring home pastries and bread from Yamato Bakery conveniently connected at Mitsuydo Sei-Men. The original branch is located at Jupiter street in Makati City.

What we like about Isshin is that they go out of their way to serve customers. Both my husband and I ordered food that were not in their menu like tekkadon and kakeage udon. In fact, it's more like an institution. The servers there are all familiar faces and if you visit often enough, know what you're going to order the minute you step into the door (they almost always know that my dad will either order a plate of mixed tempura or a lunch bento box and beat him to it). But more than just good service, the food is also excellent. The taste is there but what I love more is that the meals are hearty. Not like the other expensive Japanese establishments in the metro. This place is value for your money. The tuna and salmon sashimis are always fresh and their tonkatsu offers a good mix of lean and fatty strips of pork--because who doesn't love variety? If you're visiting the place for a more special occasion, I recommend hitting up their teppanyaki bar for your Japanese steak and Japanese friend rice fix that's cooked right in front of you. Isshin is as legit as it gets. Sometimes I think the owners decided to put up shop outside of Little Tokyo to get more attention--and it definitely paid off.
