One of the best places I've been to for ramen! You can customize almost every part of your order on a sheet of paper. The service was excellent and immersive. A little taste of Japan in the Philippines

I don't see how anyone could give this place less than 5. Each person gets a clip board and you fill in a form with all the variations you want. Including broth richness, noodle texture, shoulder or belly pork, etc. Then you can order extras as well (noodles, egg, seaweed, and so on). The chicken karagi side dish was also great. Had both the regular and spicy. There is also a curry version we didn't try. And they're very fast. So if you're hungry you don't have to wait long. Try it!!

History- of Fukuokan ramen shop
Will S.

I loved this Fukuokan ramen place in the SM Mall of Asia. After having read about the black ramen here, I was cravin it so I came here. As luck would have it, they were still making the broth at 11am so I hadda try my second choice the Truffles ramen. A bit hesitant and found a bowl of ramen covered in lettuce and as I dug around....I expected truffle shavings only to find that truffles were incorporated into a sauce over the soup. So I tasted the sauce and wow, cracked black pepper and truffles flavor was prominent. Love. There too was pork belly, the entire bowl was umami to the nth, so good and satisfying, the perfect noodles were slurped up in less than 2 min. The bowl tipped until the entire thing was gone. Ahhhhhh foodgasm. Left very full for about 4 hours; it was that fulfilling and delicious. Visits: 1 Tip: The black ramen is next on my list.

White Miso King & Mexican King

Lining up in the queue wasn't so bad. We probably waited for about 10-15 minutes, giving us time to chitchat outside first. It's so much easier to wait when you have people to talk with. Seats for waiting outside were available. Chicken Karaage Each piece was cooked very well! Coating was crunchy, white meat was very hot and tender, and the dip kept it interesting. Eating fried chicken can only go so far without sauces and dips. Green King I was actually about to try the limited king "Mexican King" ramen and good thing the server gave me a heads-up on how spicy it was. I easily shifted to the Green King right away! As always, every spoonful was very tasty. Quantity, thinness, and flavor of the shoulder meat were extremely satisfying! Kaedama (noodles) were prepared perfectly, extra hard, and I could only wish I ordered extra. But because we already had gyoza and karaage, we were all set. Gyoza Anything similar to a dumpling, I'll have. Give it to me steamed, fried, or even sizzling, it's mine! These were good even without sauce. Service Everyone was lively; hearing them shout has already grown on me. Ordering ramen on a sheet of paper with a colored pencil is always fun, and the waiting time was reasonable. Paying the bill was just as easy.

Food was great especially the ramen which is their specialty. We just have some concerns; first their service is a little slow and we are absolutely disappointed that they didn't mention to us about their "no take out policy" for their ramen! For the crazy reason that they do not want the reputation of their ramen be ruined? What!?? Doesn't make sense to me! Obviously it's gonna get cold and you'll heat it up. And it's understandable that noodles get saggy once it's soaked for so long. We already know that! Duhh! Do you think your reputation doesnt get ruined once you lose customers because of pure disappointment? If only they told us right away before we placed our orders, we would not have ordered that many ramen we planned on taking home! Pastilan!

It was late Saturday night, almost closing time and there's still a queue, not that long wait though. Place is clean and organized despite the seemingly busy day it has already been; visibly noticed on the tired but still smiling faces of attendants and waiter. Service is still prompt and courteous, though one can feel the vibe of exhaustion given the very busy restaurant even at that late hour with the restaurant still full and busy. I had the signature Butao Tonkotsu ramen. It was served just right hot temperature for eating. The broth is tasty good, full body with a pinch of spice and a tad saltiness of tonkotsu broth. The noodle is al dente. The chasu is tender with flavorful smokiness. Menma is a bit chewy and rubbery. Karaage is crunchy on the outside, tender inside. Tasty and gingerly hot. All in all good comfort food to have on a chilly night.

Green Midori King (it's with Parmesan )

The only reason why I can't give this place 4 stars is because of the price. I mean it's so much ramen in one bowl that it's easily perfect for 2 but each bowl is around 400php and it's not everyday you can find someone to share a bowl with. Also they don't do take outs for any excess ramen you can't finish. Meaning: you finish your 400php in one bowl or throw out the 200php you can't finish. I've tried their original Butao King and also their Green Midori ramen but I've yet to try their Black King Ramen (ramen with pork shank but the broth is infused with squid ink). The good thing about them is that you can put some add ons like seaweed or cabbages and you can choose the spice level of your ramen. You can also choose which part of pork you want mixed in with your ramen: shank or belly. They also have other things like gyoza and whatnot. But be there for the ramen!

Heard lots of good things about this place so I decided to try it out. I ordered the green broth which had olive oil and basil and loved the taste. I also like that you choose the richness of the broth in your ramen. All in all I would come back to try the rest. Service is quick too.

"Once you go black, you'll never go back". I guess the saying really is true. I was one of the first people who tried Ramen Nagi's Black Ramen when it first opened at SM Aura. I remember forcing my sister to go with me and endure the hour-long drive to the Fort. I am so happy to see so many Ramen Nagi branches around the Metro these days. Only means that I can have my share of Black Ink anytime I want to! While Ramen Nagi veers away from the more traditional style of Japanese ramen, their fusion offerings are all well-received. I'm not really sure if it's the broth or the noodles that make each bowl so good. Maybe it's a combination of both. I don't know. Whatever it is, I am signed, sold, and satisfied all the time. While some people would think that Black Ramen might not be their cup of tea, I say it again with a lot more conviction this time. "Once you go black, you'll never go back".

Had the chicken karaage basically looked like fried chicken meatballs. These things were so good. For the ramen I went for the spiciest broth and flavor they had and it did not disappoint. The heat and spice goes straight to the throat and doesn't lose any flavor I actually ate all the soup and broth as i wasn't really suffering but enjoying the spicy flavor. I wish this place was in san diego its quality ramen as well as other side dish meals you can order. Buddy of mine had this pork rice bowl that changed his life. And the drinks here were dirt cheap a very cool staple of the PI. A nice meal to be had for the tourist but not so much the purist.

Black King, I think it has black sesame and I chose the belly portion of the pork.

I can't get enough of this place, the energy and vibe is unlike any I'd find in North America. The chefs are super exciting to watch prepare the food and you're greeted as soon as you walk in, The Ramen isn't too overly seasoned or salty either which is a huge plus and meat is tender for any dish you choose, I would eat here every day if I could

One of my favorite places to get ramen in the Philippines! The broth is flavorful and doesn't have a fishy taste like some other ramen spots. You are able to get additional toppings added and can customize how you want your ramen. Definitely a place to stop by if you're craving Japanese ramen in the Philippines and are in the area

Good ramen but not really memorable. Broth is too thick. It's alright. Off to the next

As ramen noodle houses go this is hands down the best. The service is fast, although you'll have to wait a few minutes. But it is worth it!

Ramen Nagi is inside the Food Hall in Terminal 3 which is located on the 4th floor. Hang to the left when you enter the Food Hall and you'll see it on your right right across from KFC. We got there around 11 am, so it wasn't terribly busy. We got seated right away and proceeded to order the Crab King Ramen. It was the last day of the promo. It looked so impressive when it came. The ramen came with a large piece of nori and a deep fried soft shell crab on top of the models. Michael and I ordered the same thing except that he ordered thin noodles. I ordered the thicker curly noodles. We both agreed that the broth was fantastic. It was milky, not too heavy and so full of umami especially with the crab flavor. We ate the crab as soon as we started as we didn't want it to get soggy. The egg was also perfect. The orange yolk inside was jammy. Definitely perfectly cooked. We also had an order of Karaage which was good (4 stars) and an order of Gyoza which was just okay. It came out piping hot. I have to say that I like the gyoza better at Daikokuya in Little Tokyo LA. I haven't found anything as good as Daikokuya's gyoza. We loved the food so much we decided to have lunch here again the following day. They no longer had the Crab King Ramen. Michael ended up getting a regular Tonkotsu Ramen with Pork Belly and an egg. The egg wasn't as perfectly cooked this time, but he still loved the soup. I decided to order something lighter like Tempura from Akimitsu Tendon. If you're in Terminal 3, definitely check out Ramen Nagi. The ramen is delicious and so inexpensive at under $10.

Dine-in space looked pretty limited although late afternoon seemed like a good time! FOOD Butao King was delicious as always (in comparison to all other branches we've been to). Noodles were extra firm, broth was umami, and the veggies were perfect in quantity. It is still such a convenience to be able to request exactly how you want your ramen to be cooked (on the paper). SERVICE Waiting time was very much acceptable. We hardly had to wait long and the food was served very hot.

The restaurant had a really cute Japan theme with super cute decorations! The food was really good and different. We ordered the Gyoza (php 180), Chicken Karage Caesar Salad (php 190), Hakata Ramen (php 340) and the Cheese Ramen (php 350). The item that stood out to me was the Cheese Ramen, at first I thought that it wouldn't be good and I would get tired of it cause its just cheese and noodles. I ended up liking it because the cheese that they used wasn't overwhelming as I thought it would be. The Hakata Ramen was also really yummy and not too salty. Total ~$20

Hanging lanterns and signages creates an authentic feel of eating along the streets of throwback Tokyo. I came from Asia Pop Comic Con in SMX and it is better to dine outside MOA to avoid the hassle. It was a long, tiring day and a bowl of Ramen is the only thing I have in mind. Good thing there's a branch of Mitsuyado Sei Men in blue bay walk. Tsukemen means "dipping noodles", the art of eating ramen with a separate broth and soup to dip the noodles. The regular bowl of cheese tsukemen is a contention of a savory soup and thick sauce cheese. The taste is confusing on the the onset but I easily acquired the taste. I also ordered ebi tempura don. I have the urge that I deserve to eat noodleas and rice at the same time. The pacing of the service is slow. There's a refillable service tea but they don't serve glass of water. You can also bring home pastries and bread from Yamato Bakery conveniently connected at Mitsuydo Sei-Men. The original branch is located at Jupiter street in Makati City.

Mentally bookmarked it and came back another day during off hours (3 pm) - the waiting benches outside were empty. The decor inside is impressive - a huge display of ramen spoons crown the central open kitchen where Chashu is being grilled and bowls of soup noodles are assembled. The order is taken at the register at the front before you are seated. Once seated at the bar, a chef and waiter on either side of the bar are there to help you out. I ordered a delicious Tsukemen, whose broth options were different had I ordered a regular bowl of soup ramen. The tsukemen broths appear to be more seafood forward and worth coming back to try them all. I do recommend getting extra chashu no matter what your order is. For just 315 PHP you get 3 extra pieces of smoky goodness, an outstanding piece of meat that I've never seen at any other ramen joint. Definitely a must-come-back to on my next Manila visit

The location in BGC was quite large with the bar like seating winding all around the kitchen area. Hundreds of soup spoons hung above. Ordering process was the same with the menu posted at the front. Three types of ramen (regular, dipping and soupless) plus side dishes like gyoza and extra char siu. Service was fast at the front and kitchen staff regularly shouted greetings in Japanese when getting seated. Food took a little long to be served as I watched one guy prepping, making the ramen and char siu. Seemed like they were a little understaffed that day. I had ordered my favorite tan tan men with a side of char siu. The broth was creamy and mildly spicy. Ramen was thick and chewy. Char siu was thick, juicy and added more flavors to my tan tan men. Their char siu was quite a generous serving of pork for the price. Beats many other ramen places. Gyozas here were also good. Crisp on the outside and good amount of filling inside. They offered two sizes, 3 or 5 pieces. Besides the slow service this chain still remains my favorite here in Philippines.
