Filling ramen. They were very busy but worth the wait. We had the Black King, Green king, and the original king. I love how you can choose your add -ons. I love pork belly and firm noodles. My spouse loves spicy and pork shoulder with lots of cabbage. We also had gyoza as our appetizer.

    Craving for a good ramen.!!

It is nice that they have table service and really great venue. You really felt the japanese kind of vibe. It is nice seeing a detailed menu and customizing ramen. We ordered Butao King, Red King and Gyoza. *Butao King it is much better for normal taste and I added egg. The small concern for me is that there was a few uncooked noodle. *Red King we added more spicy but for my husband was not that spicy. Depends on the taste. *Gyoza was very tasty which I highly recommend and it has a good sauce with it.

Well, I have been in the hunt for the best ramen restaurants outside of Japan and I can tell you that it was a treat to be there for the first time with my girlfriend. So, to keep it short, you can choose either the regular Butao, the green one, the red one and the black one. To describe the dish: It is quite tasty and replenishing to say the least because of how rich the ramen was. I believe that the kaarage chicken was also tasty and not too oily. It may not be the best one I have ever tasted but I can tell you that it is worth to try it out. So, it will cost you between 380 pesos and 500 pesos(I think) which is the equivalent of ten to 13 dollars Canadian ! So, I would suggest you guys try it out and see if you guys like it ! Staff: This is where it lost a star on my review: The staff seems rather passive. Not lazy but rather not focused. They were pretty nice but it took awhile before we got attention for our orders. Final grade: I give it a four out of five simply because the food was tasty and rich! Try it out!

Ramen Nagi is probably one of the better ramen joints I have ever had. Mind you were not from here, and in Canada, where I also eat tons of ramen - it's definitely one of the best I have ever had. The service is amazing and the ambiance of the restaurant just makes you want to dig in to some amazing ramen. We ordered the chef's recommendation which was the butao with some tweaks and the green king (cheesy one) that we tweaked ourselves. The servings were huge and both looked super appetizing! Trust me, my husband finished up his butao ramen in 15 minutes and ate some of mine as well. We were both done eating in less than 30 minutes. That's how good it was! I will definitely be coming back and taking the rest of my family with us cause they need to have some tasty ramen before we go back to Canada.

Highly recommend the Black King (black garlic squid ink ramen) and Red King (if you like flavorful spice). Highly recommend Ramen Nagi finding a new home in my ramen-obsessed Bay Area, but hopefully without a 4-hr long line.

Restaurant Interior is very bright, lively, inviting, and spacious, giving many options for seat preferences unless the place is already full. Restaurant is a head-turner, though I've passed it a number of times to go to the escalator or parking only. Curry Chicken Karaage These were super good with a crunchy, powdery coating and soft, hot, white meat! I need not say more. Good! Nagi Chips We grabbed the Butao flavor since we wanted to start with something basic and original. It's actually very salty so just a heads-up. It's good, but again, very salty. Pork Katsu Roll It's very delicious especially at the first bite. Expect it to be filling so sharing would be ideal. I find it a bit expensive though. Ramen Quality Black King Ramen is so good I definitely want to try other flavors. The ramen options are few and easy to select based on color. Every ingredient is perfect to my liking and the hard noodles are amazing! Prepare to be laughed at if you don't wipe your lips with tissue. Your "evacuation" may go to the dark side as well but the force will guide you, possibly for two days; it shouldn't be alarming though. Ramen Quantity Serving size is very generous, guaranteeing a temporary keg belly afterwards. I cannot fathom how other customers have room to add Kaedama (extra noodles) though. I've seen two people do it, one being my friend. Service I can't say it's extraordinary though I see possibilities with this branch. I appreciate that the crew proactively gave advice after we encircled our ramen preferences on the ordering slip. Don't expect it, though; sometimes you need to ask too. Ok fine, I'll say extraordinary! (Sept. 2018)

A crowded noisy spot to catch a quick bite of decent-to-good ramen. I LOVE a good bowl of ramen, and nothing truly beats authentic Japanese ramen and this spot delivers broth-wise, but not noodle-wise, for me. You also can't get any ramen to-go or as takeout whatsoever, so just be aware. My fiancé and I arrived here late evening on a weekday night and it was PACKED. Wait time was five minutes for two-tops, so while we were waiting I perused the menu and after five minutes we were led to our tiny table, squeezed in next to another two-top, and a noisy 8 person table to our left. Kind of awkward, but ok. We are the type to quietly enjoy our meal and talk, but because it was so loud we basically had to shout at each other. He opted for the Original Butao King with extra pork belly and tamago (basically what they call a soyed egg), and I got a Red King with extra pork shoulder, tamago, and extra cabbage. You have a couple of options for choices of what to add on your ramen and how it should be cooked. Since bean sprouts/green onion cost more I chose them as an option on my meal, then added cabbage as an extra. We got normal on everything else. Be aware that when you choose thicker broth, it's what you get! Get it normal if you don't want it too oily/rich. We waited for about 25 minutes since ordering our entrees to get them. Presentation was good, I felt like they piled a tad too much chili flakes on top of the red king so I scooped some to the side, but otherwise the spice was just right. He was satisfied with his original king, but the noodles also let him down with how thin they were. The broth was delicious, the process (as explained on the menu) of them to get their broth seemed to be authentic and a great way to get a good umami-pork taste. It reminded me of a vending machine ramen spot that was the best I'd ever had in Tokyo, though it wasn't quite the same. To be fair, the noodles are house made, which was great but for us who prefer normal-to-udon noodle thickness, it was a letdown. Our server was quick at the get-go, but as the place was understandably busy we had to wave him down to get his attention a few times. Because I had been craving good ramen broth, I was satisfied and overall I would try this place at least once if you're near and looking for a place open later that offers it. However, I wouldn't come back because I'd rather look for another spot. Happy ramen eating!

By far still the best ramen place for me. At Ramen Nagi, you can choose the richness of the soup, the amount of special sauce, the chewiness of the noodles, addition and omit of ingredients, spiciness level to your taste. They have four general ramen dishes: Original Butao, Black King (Squid Ink), Red King (spicy), and Green King (pesto with cheese). I like the original best because of the delicious broth. They also have monthly specials, like for this month, its Tsukemen. They don't have a lot of side dishes, but what they have is enough for any palate. We tried their sizzling gyoza, fried tonkatsu roll, and shrimp aurora. The crunch is good and very flavorful. A little pricey but it is good to splurge once in a while.

    Ramen Nagi's Red King

Fine, I'll admit it. I love Ramen Nagi's Red King. Initially, I was not crazy over this ramen place because the Butao, Black King and the Green King was not close enough to my Yushoken favorite. The soup and the noodles were good but not enough for me to obsess over on. Then this Red King came. It was my first time to order it and it was love at first bite. Initially, I was comparing the appeal of this bowl to Tantanmen but I was dead wrong. The Red King is a completely different spicy beast with its level 5 spiciness. It may be their red ball that's giving all those flavors but I remember that the spicy meat bits mixed well with the sweet pork belly meat. So my tip is that if you're ordering this, get the belly and not the shoulder. Now, I just need to find the noodle firmness that I like. I got the extra hard noodles and it's nowhere near the level of Yushoken's in-house noodles. I think I even like ukkokei's noodles more, not that it's bad. Or maybe, I'm just making up more reasons for me to go back for the Red King Ramen.

Although I still wouldn't call myself an expert, after 10 days in Japan last year I think I can tell the difference between so-so ramen and the good stuff. My first taste of Ramen Nagi was at the Robinsons Magnolia branch, and to be honest, I was a bit disappointed. I felt that the Butao Grace ordered was a little tasteless, and the Black King I got was too salty. But I tried Ramen Nagi again last Mother's Day, and Grace and I took my parents along with us. Too many people had told me that it was the best around, so I just had to give it another shot. This time, I decided to keep it simple. I got the Butao, but customized it (yes, it's DIY ramen, people!) with level 1 spiciness and a thicker, more flavorful broth. It was perfect. I realized that Ramen Nagi is the new taste of Japan, the kind that doesn't force you to eat it just the way that the chef chooses to serve it to you. Ramen Nagi is of the new Japan, the loud, take me and spin me around and do with me what you will Japan, and that the DIY experience is meant to keep you coming back 'til you discover just how you want it. Hey, it worked with me.

I went for a Butao King Ramen (Original) and thought it's nothing special. You can tweak the ramen to your liking since you can indicate the richness of the broth, spice, density of the noodles plus add-ons. I went for a normal bowl of ramen but I could only eat half of it. I tried some chicken karaage which was fairly good. I was told to try Black or Red King Ramen next time but I'm not sure I want to go back.

Probably one of the best ramen restaurants i would personally recommend. We ordered their bestseller ramen called The Four kings and i'd say it's a little better compared to Ippudo. The Gyoza was good too

It doesn't have the international recognition of Ippudo or Santouka or the creativity of Nagi, but the ramen here feels as though someone is treating you for a nice dinner at home. There are only three flavors available of the ramen, the shiro (classic), kuro (garlic), and aka (spicy). I've had both the kuro and aka, and I can say that they are extremely satisfying. Neither the garlic nor the spice was too overpowering. The broth was also extremely well-balanced. Not too fatty but still smooth enough to make you want to slurp the bowl once you've finished. The pork cuts weren't as tender as I've had at other places, but still very well done. The tamago was also well done. Love the runniness! But what puts this place over the edge into 5-star territory is the price. You can get a super filling bowl of ramen here for only 230 pesos! And that's for the larger size! I wager that's basically half of what you'd pay at the more upscale mall places for nearly the same quality. I was also able to try one of their sets featuring a bowl of ramen of your choosing, their gyudon rice don on the side and a bowl of fresh fruits for only 360 pesos. I was stuffed after. So so worth it. The gyoza was also really well made, and a steal for only 100 pesos. The staff here is always super attentive and accommodating, even when we've come in with a larger group, and they do accept all major credit cards, which is a huge plus for me. Definitely worth a try. I don't have to venture out to the more upscale parts of the Metro to enjoy a well-curated bowl of ramen anymore!
