I love Ikea, but one thing I've noticed is the constant discrimination at this location. I always feel like I'm being rushed and no one is truly polite to me. Not only that, while I was checking out I was given a message of a "random check" which didn't feel "random". Well, I don't usually go to the store and I happen to go last night and I experienced the bad customer service that they have so I was there and I went to where the things are on sale and I happen to find an item and I go to the register and the item wasn't scanning so the girl Julissa called somebody not sure who and they came and got the item and say that she couldn't sell it well then I said OK well, can you find me an item just like it and give it to me for the price that that item was on sale so she called the manager. Her name is Joanna and she was not helpful. She was actually a little rude. She asked to speak to a manager. She said she was a manager and I said well it's not my fault that the item that was there it was discontinued for whatever reason didn't really give me much information on it but I end up telling her what you should do for your customer is if the item is there give her something similar for the price that the item that she was gonna buy that was on sale that was taken from her, but of course she said oh we can't do that. I said OK I said well. I'm gonna put a bad review. I said because that is bad customer service. I ordered a couple of shelves for our garage, three tier of galvanized shelves for organization. I also got a bathmat, a pop-up hamper, laundry bag, a couple of storage bins, and a soap dispenser. I ordered everything from the app so that I could just do click and collect. I ordered just before noon and everything was ready by 5 PM. Instead of doing a curbside, I just went in and picked it up after checking in on my phone. It was pretty seamless. When I got all my things on the cart to take to my car, I realized there was some thing that I did not order on my cart. I simply told the worker and he said that he thought I ordered it, but I didn't want their inventory to be off, so I made sure that they took it off my cart. All in all I had a good experience here and it was fairly simple to get in and out with click and collect. read more

Back at IKEA in Covina, they have a lot more items in stock now. For the greater part of a year, I remember they ran out of a lot of things. Came here to pick up a few items and also decided to eat at the restaurant. We ordered Swedish meatballs and paid extra for 8 more meatballs, mac and cheese, side salad, and chocolate layer cake. Remember to have your IKEA Family card scanned for free hot coffee or tea. Liked - Side salad and Swedish meatballs. Meatballs were tender and you can't go wrong. Disappointed - The chocolate layer cake was super dry. Mac and cheese was cold and gritty. Not very cheesy. This is a good IKEA to visit. Easy to find parking and not too much people. COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. Some of the staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open and available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing some stuff from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is massive. Huge improvement with the show room displays showing off the interior design decor, furniture, and ideas. Lots of updates from the last time that I have gone there and less construction and closed displays now. I largely am still a person who goes here to wander around and look at everything. Great way to kill time. Unfortunately, around an hour before closing all the cafeteria is closed and when we went the food concession at the exit had nothing available except for fountain drinks. Understandable with supply chain issues and lack of workers. Just gotta go earlier next time. read more

Ikea is like a maze. I usually have a hard time going in for only exactly what I need, without exploring all the other parts, buying extra things, and snacking in the food court. We've purchased many large and small furniture here over the years. I can say, my experiences with the large furniture usually involve long wait times for them to bring me my items and then difficultly loading them in suv's. Assembly was usually relatively easy. I had much better experiences with smaller furnitures and decor. I love the variety of things they carry. They have dishes, wall art, mirrors, candles, pots, toys, and so much more! I find everything really reasonably priced, and I always love coming here. And lastly, the meatballs in the food court are amazing! read more

This IKEA in West Covina has it all! We shop, eat and shop some more. The Buffet has plenty of vegetarian options, meatballs for our Daughter, chicken strips and fries for Hubby, Son usually has the salad, soup, and an entree, and we have always left completely satisfied.Parking was under a bit of construction last time we were there, hopefully this has opened up more parking area, which is usually pretty good. Last Sunday morning in February, my family went to look for a desk and waited till the place was opened. We went to the 1st floor to kitchen and home section to find new stuff but didn't find anything interesting. Then they moved the food market place next to cashiers in the dead space opposite side of As is section. They also moved aisles of furniture to the middle and service counter near As is section. Been to Ikea many times. This is a great place to go if you enjoy putting together your own furnitures. You will definitely save a lot of money since you yourself is the installation person. Anything you need for your home (furniture wise), you can find it here. I like how they have different rooms showcasing furniture to give you an idea what they look like in a room. Not only that, they have swedish food/cafeteria for you to buy and enjoy from a long day of shopping. Their food is not that bad and prices are not too expensive. I've been here many times and have always enjoyed this location. Like other IKEA's, parking is ample, great prices, spacious, and no-pressure sales people. If you want to bypass the showroom, there's a shortcut at the top of the escalator. You can also check their website ahead of time to see stock of something you are looking for. Recently I was able to add some food items directly from the self checkout from their bistro and that made it easy to go pick up them up on the way out. $2 hot dogs, icees and a slice of pizza. The pizza was on the cold and not as fresh side, but price is right. Icees are really good. The restaurant is also great with nice views and lots of seating, even some loungey seating with couches right by the windows. I recommend the Swedish meatballs. Even if you aren't furniture shopping per se, a great place to browse or just have lunch. read more

Organized and the representative were all really helpful, I have no problem finding items. Inside this location there is a food court, it's definitely not the best food but if you're tired from shopping around, then it's a good sit down. Make sure you join their family card because everything have a 5% discount if you join. There's no fee involved and it's actually a lot easier to return anything if you lose your receipt. I highly recommended to start here from an interior design perspective, at least to spark ideas. read more

Went to buy slats for a bed Monday (11th) night. Got home and found termites. Took the slats back Tuesday (12th) morning. Told me I could drive back the following day to get their new slats, so I asked if I could just get it shipped to my address. They agreed and told me it would arrive by Friday (15th). Friday comes and goes and I hadn't received anything by the following Tuesday (19th). I call customer service and they tell me my order had been canceled. I did not receive notification of this cancellation. Now they "fix what the people in store did wrong" and tell me it'll arrive by the 25th. Their product isn't worth the headache of their incompetence as a whole. Very nice people to talk to but it should not have this many hiccups or take this long for a bed slat. read more

Located on Barranca, there's plenty of parking available. We specifically came here to do more comparison shopping and we were looking for furniture, shelving and lamps for less. However there's that saying, "You get what you pay for." So keeping that in mind we found several items that we may come back to purchase. What I love about IKEA is that you don't get bothered by sales people, you can browse at your own leisure. Then when you've selected the items that you want to purchase, you line up and go. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I was very excited to try the food that everyone raves about but it's HORRIBLE. It was almost $60 for the blandest food i've ever had. The utensils are just out and about for any grubby hands to touch them. My mom saw a man cough all over the utensils. The water tastes foggy. The moment I finished my plate, my stomach started to hate me. By the time I got home I was extremely nauseous. 24+ hours later I still am. I went to Ikea today with my parents to looking for a bed. However, i've been so disappointed by the customer services in there. I was walking around with my old parents, my mom is using a wheelchair, and dad is using his cane, and he pushed the ikea's cart so he could balanced his body. Pls note that my dad couldn't walk in a long distance. When in showroom, we stopped couple of times, so he could take a rest. He insisted to see the bed before I decided to buy (traditional man). During out search, my dad told me, he couldn't walk any further, so he told me to go home instead. I was agreeing, but we're in the middle of the showroom. So, the best way I could do is to follow the EXIT sign. When we're going to the exit emergency door. One employee (a lady) stopped us, and told me we can't enter the emergency door. I was trying to explain, that my dad couldn't walk any further. That one is ok. But the things is that lady told another two employees to watch over us!!!!! OMG. My parents and I was being treated like a theft. Idk about it at first, but I go along the way in the showroom, and told my dad to keep on continuing our journey. So while waiting my dad to walk, my mom and I was stopping in one of the table. However, that two employees told us "oh, pls don't touch! Pls you cannot sit in there." I was like OMG!!! I told them, i'm waiting for my dad as he walked to slooooow! Don't u understand that? They told me, that the Exit is "just" a block away. Maybe, because they have never been an older person. Mark over by the Order Pick Up/Delivery Service is hands down the best! We came in to purchase a bed frame which was way too big to fit into my car, so we made our purchase and headed on over to have it delivered to my house. The line was extremely long with people waiting to pick up their orders, and Mark came over to assist us with shipping our order. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and overall showed fantastic customer service. The computer out front was glitching, so he led me over to a different computer in the back area, and we had every thing set up within minutes. As I was about to pay, Mark had told me that because the wait out front is extremely long, he will waive the delivery fee which was totally unexpected and he didn't have to, but it was a very nice gesture! We came for one small item that they have sold for years but it ended up being sold out, so we just had fun looking around. My kids love to play house at IKEA lol. We were surprised to see they sell Lego sets! They also sell live plants, and really fun stuff in the kids section (mini IKEA furniture for doll house is something I would have loved as a kid). Their wall decor/art section is lame. 20 years ago, they had pretty cool art for wall decor but now it's like dentist office decor. After looking around for a good hour, we exited past really long lines for checkout and a ridiculously long cafe line.
