My sister wanted to have lunch together, little did I know she wanted to eat at IKEA lol I opted for the 8 piece Plant Ball meal, served with a scoop of mashed potatoes, peas, gravy, and a squirt of lingonberry sauce. To drink, I had a glass of lingonberry juice. It was my first time trying the Plant balls and I must say I prefer them more than the vegetable balls they offer. They are made from a pea protein and give you that "meat -like" texture compared to the vegetable balls that break apart as you eat it. Will definitely pick up a bag of frozen Plant Balls to take home on the way out! read more

Large store with a big selection. I like visiting for the food court and dining. They have a spot to drop off your kids while you go shopping. There is parking underground and slow chargers there too. Prices are fair and restrooms are available. You are able to pick up your online orders here. read more

Whenever they switched their self pick up to this collection point system, they should've hired more staff or something. Bought my dresser. Had to wait about 40 effing minutes to pick it up at the collection point. What a waste of my god damn time. I rarely go to ikea but this experience will make me say eff it why bother. read more

This place management and customer service is terrible. I went to pick up a drawer that was not at the fountain valley store. Spending a couple hours here in the vortex which is IKEA and getting hungry? No worries! Stop by their restaurant in the store! It's cafeteria style with their innovative carts that you can put several trays for your family. Their food is pretty tasty! You don't have to leave to eat and can continue shopping several more hours! They have added more to the menu but I still love their Swedish meatballs with lingonberry sauce read more

So my daughter wanted to come to IKEA, because she is now 18 years old and had decided she is redecorating her room. So off we go 45 minutes so that she could have an in person experience. Let me just say that IKEA did not disappoint. She enjoyed herself tremendously. She found a dresser, a blanket basket, and other knickknacks for her room. That's not to say that mom didn't find some steals. I had forgotten how interesting this store could be. I found my dream kitchen and a price that would actually be pretty reasonable if we weren't almost on the verge of a recession. The staff were all very friendly and the store was nice and clean. The simplicity of IKEA really does make you want to get rid of a lot of junk and try the simplistic look. read more

Visited this location for the first time to find some furniture and bits and pieces for my place. I was at Ikea Costa Mesa a few days prior to my visit and all of the showroom stuff was under construction so it was nice to come to an Ikea that had all of their showroom stuff on display. I left inspired but I also feel like I left with bed bug bites on my skin. I felt them while I was visiting the store and the next day I had a few more bites. I looked up if this was possible and apparently it's a thing according to Reddit. Anyway, keep that in mind if you decide to sit down on anything there. I bought one of their bathroom caddy's with the suction cups and it's amazing and works great! read more

I never shopped regularly at IKEA before I moved to the area but I absolutely love this place and can spend hours getting lost in the maze. I don't buy furniture here but I love their household items and kids toys. I have a huge supply of their rubber gloves (Rinning)--they are great. For my kids, I have recently purchased: the easel, lego storage containers, the stuffed snake puppet, and other random impulse purchases. Tip: join IKEA family for free. Even if you're not a regular here, you save 5% off your purchase with IKEA family. There are also random events and promotions like save $10 off of $75. read more

COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. Some of the staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open and available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing some stuff from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is massive. There is an underground parking structure area and an above ground parking structure. Each parking space is wide, and there are just wayyyyy to many parking spaces for you to choose from. You won't have problems finding parking. Store & Staff: The store itself is very neat, tidy, and clean. All the items in the store are placed in a way that makes sense. The staff here are very friendly, kind, helpful, and welcoming. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum. read more

Huge improvement with the show room displays showing off the interior design decor, furniture, and ideas. Lots of updates from the last time that I have gone there and less construction and closed displays now. I largely am still a person who goes here to wander around and look at everything. Great way to kill time. Unfortunately, around an hour before closing all the cafeteria is closed and when we went the food concession at the exit had nothing available except for fountain drinks. Understandable with supply chain issues and lack of workers. Just gotta go earlier next time. read more

Ikea is like a maze. I usually have a hard time going in for only exactly what I need, without exploring all the other parts, buying extra things, and snacking in the food court. We've purchased many large and small furniture here over the years. I can say, my experiences with the large furniture usually involve long wait times for them to bring me my items and then difficultly loading them in suv's. Assembly was usually relatively easy. I had much better experiences with smaller furnitures and decor. I love the variety of things they carry. They have dishes, wall art, mirrors, candles, pots, toys, and so much more! I find everything really reasonably priced, and I always love coming here. And lastly, the meatballs in the food court are amazing! read more

Wait 40 minutes to check out. Then wait another 30 to pick up one item. Place sucks. Awful.

I love coming here with my daughter when we're out this way and getting lost. We do it every 6 months or so. Everything was fine up until I went to check out, I've been feeling like lately racial profiling has been becoming more and more prominent, noticing that I was the only black individual in the entire store, when I went to check out I found it interesting that my check out I was selected for a random verification that I had paid for all of my items. I passed of course, I had no intention of not paying, but nonetheless it was uncomfortable and made me feel singled out. I will continue to shop there but will suggest that they find another way to confirm purchases. It was highly embarrassing. read more

I ordered a couple of shelves for our garage, three tier of galvanized shelves for organization. I also got a bathmat, a pop-up hamper, laundry bag, a couple of storage bins, and a soap dispenser. I ordered everything from the app so that I could just do click and collect. I ordered just before noon and everything was ready by 5 PM. Instead of doing a curbside, I just went in and picked it up after checking in on my phone. It was pretty seamless. When I got all my things on the cart to take to my car, I realized there was some thing that I did not order on my cart. I simply told the worker and he said that he thought I ordered it, but I didn't want their inventory to be off, so I made sure that they took it off my cart. All in all I had a good experience here and it was fairly simple to get in and out with click and collect. read more

Back at IKEA in Covina, they have a lot more items in stock now. For the greater part of a year, I remember they ran out of a lot of things. Came here to pick up a few items and also decided to eat at the restaurant. We ordered Swedish meatballs and paid extra for 8 more meatballs, mac and cheese, side salad, and chocolate layer cake. Remember to have your IKEA Family card scanned for free hot coffee or tea. Liked - Side salad and Swedish meatballs. Meatballs were tender and you can't go wrong. Disappointed - The chocolate layer cake was super dry. Mac and cheese was cold and gritty. Not very cheesy. This is a good IKEA to visit. Easy to find parking and not too much people. And most importantly, they have of things back in stock now. read more

Absolutely trash experience ordering from the Ikea website and have orders fulfilled by the Covina location. Despite this being an online order, you will see in the details below why this review is tied to this specific location. Here is the timeline of events: June 5, 3PM: Order placed on ikea.com/us. We specified that we want to pick it up from the Ontario California design planning and ordering location and the order confirmation page mentions that it will be available for pick up next day between 11AM-7PM. June 6, 11AM: I call general Ikea support (as no number is available for the Ontario location) because the tracking page still says that the order has been received but nothing about it being packed, dispatched, or on the way (all valid statuses according to the tracking page). The support rep informs me that the order is on the truck and we can expect a status update via email and text once it is ready to be picked up form the Ontario location. They are not able to provide a reason why the online tracking page is not updated. June 6, 6PM: The tracking is still not updated and we have not gotten any notice that the order is ready, but the pick up location closes in less than an hour. We decide to drop by Ontario because there is no indication that the order will not be ready for pick up today as promised at the time of the order being placed. They confirmed that the order never even made it into the systems for the Covina location and definitely will not make it onto a truck and shipped over to here before the close. We get on the phone with Support who confirm the same thing and they let us know that they we can place another order and they will cover the charge of expedited shipping to our house rather than to a pick up spot. The new order is placed and paid for, and they confirm that our new delivery is for Sunday June 8. June 7, 5PM: I get an automated call informing me that the delivery window will be Sunday June 8 3-5PM. June 8, 4PM: No other notices via phone, text, email, or otherwise that the package is on its way. We get on the phone with customer service who tell us that the truck containing our order broke down. They assist with creating another order for us to be shipped to our house today which we got a receipt of via email. They also inform us to expect an email from the shipping company with a delivery window before tonight. At this point, it is 48 hours after we were originally supposed to get our order. June 9, 10AM: Online tracking for the newly created order was still not updated and no notice was received by the shipping company with a shipping window, so we are losing hope it will be delivered today. On our THIRD call with customer service, they AGAIN informed us that Covina never received or processed our order. It is now 4 days since we placed the order online, 3 days since we should have gotten our order initially. Within this hour, we refreshed the tracking page of the order and it still says Order Received, with the updated delivery being Wednesday June 11, which would be 5 days after we were supposed to receive our order initially. June 10, 6:06 PM: I get an automated phone call informing me of a delivery window of 3-7 PM for the following day. June 11, 12:35 PM: Online tracking for the order still reflects Order received and no indication it is being packed or prepped in any way, even though the start of the delivery window is in 2.5 hours. June 11, 1:00 PM: Welp, just got confirmation from general customer service that the order is not coming today. This is the FOURTH scheduled delivery that was missed by Ikea (Friday to Ontario, Sunday to my home, Monday to my home, and Wednesday to my home). The excuse this time is simply that the delivery company was not able to pick up the items from the location. I am currently on the phone awaiting a supervisor to see what they will do to compensate us for all the wasted time on a call, as well as taking time away from work and family to ensure we are at home to accept deliveries that never happened. As of June 11 at 1:03 PM, we decided to cancel the order as we decided to stop putting in any more effort to try and get this rectified and are looking into another furniture shop for our needs. This entire saga caused us to lose time with family and friends as well as time off work to be present at the house for deliveries that never happened and we hope that documenting our troubles helps others on their decisionmaking in the future. read more

I love Ikea, but one thing I've noticed is the constant discrimination at this location. I always feel like I'm being rushed and no one is truly polite to me. There was a group of well looking black people behind me as well who were given this screen. Yikes Ikea, do better. read more

Last Sunday morning in February, my family went to look for a desk and waited till the place was opened. We went to the 1st floor to kitchen and home section to find new stuff but didn't find anything interesting. Then they moved the food market place next to cashiers in the dead space opposite side of As is section. They also moved aisles of furniture to the middle and service counter near As is section. We found the good deal on the desk and person behind the counter wasn't helpful hence 3 stars. read more

Been to Ikea many times. This is a great place to go if you enjoy putting together your own furnitures. You will definitely save a lot of money since you yourself is the installation person. Anything you need for your home (furniture wise), you can find it here. I like how they have different rooms showcasing furniture to give you an idea what they look like in a room. Not only that, they have swedish food/cafeteria for you to buy and enjoy from a long day of shopping. Their food is not that bad and prices are not too expensive. Overall, you can't go wrong shopping here. I would definitely come back. Their service isn't too bad either. read more

Well, I don't usually go to the store and I happen to go last night and I experienced the bad customer service that they have so I was there and I went to where the things are on sale and I happen to find an item and I go to the register and the item wasn't scanning so the girl Julissa called somebody not sure who and they came and got the item and say that she couldn't sell it well then I said OK well, can you find me an item just like it and give it to me for the price that that item was on sale so she called the manager. Her name is Joanna and she was not helpful. She was actually a little rude. She asked to speak to a manager. She said she was a manager and I said well it's not my fault that the item that was there it was discontinued for whatever reason didn't really give me much information on it but I end up telling her what you should do for your customer is if the item is there give her something similar for the price that the item that she was gonna buy that was on sale that was taken from her, but of course she said oh we can't do that. I said OK I said well. I'm gonna put a bad review. I said because that is bad customer service. In my opinion oh and i waited for like 20 mins for them to come and tell me they couldn't do anything about it. Really read more

Organized and the representative were all really helpful, I have no problem finding items. Inside this location there is a food court, it's definitely not the best food but if you're tired from shopping around, then it's a good sit down. Make sure you join their family card because everything have a 5% discount if you join. There's no fee involved and it's actually a lot easier to return anything if you lose your receipt. I highly recommended to start here from an interior design perspective, at least to spark ideas. read more

I've been here many times and have always enjoyed this location. Like other IKEA's, parking is ample, great prices, spacious, and no-pressure sales people. If you want to bypass the showroom, there's a shortcut at the top of the escalator. You can also check their website ahead of time to see stock of something you are looking for. Recently I was able to add some food items directly from the self checkout from their bistro and that made it easy to go pick up them up on the way out. $2 hot dogs, icees and a slice of pizza. The pizza was on the cold and not as fresh side, but price is right. Icees are really good. The restaurant is also great with nice views and lots of seating, even some loungey seating with couches right by the windows. I recommend the Swedish meatballs. Even if you aren't furniture shopping per se, a great place to browse or just have lunch. read more

This review is to thank Kevin Y., at the customer service desk, who helped me in finding a replacement wall brace, for a Trotten cabinet, recently purchased from your store. If not for Kevin's diligence and persistence, a replacement would have taken a 'few days' to receive--which was no big deal to me. But Kevin, on his own accord, went above and beyond, in search for the replacement part, so I was able to immediately install the new brace when I got home. Thanks, Kevin! read more

This IKEA in West Covina has it all! We shop, eat and shop some more. The Buffet has plenty of vegetarian options, meatballs for our Daughter, chicken strips and fries for Hubby, Son usually has the salad, soup, and an entree, and we have always left completely satisfied.Parking was under a bit of construction last time we were there, hopefully this has opened up more parking area, which is usually pretty good. Located on Barranca, there's plenty of parking available. We specifically came here to do more comparison shopping and we were looking for furniture, shelving and lamps for less. However there's that saying, "You get what you pay for." So keeping that in mind we found several items that we may come back to purchase. What I love about IKEA is that you don't get bothered by sales people, you can browse at your own leisure. Then when you've selected the items that you want to purchase, you line up and go. Friday comes and goes and I hadn't received anything by the following Tuesday (19th). I call customer service and they tell me my order had been canceled. I did not receive notification of this cancellation. Now they "fix what the people in store did wrong" and tell me it'll arrive by the 25th. Ikea! I can't believe I haven't written a review on this place sooner! I have been here so many times and spent so much on those meatballs; it's crazy. I guess I've been keeping these meatballs a secret for quite some time. For those who have been to Ikea and not just for furniture, you know Ikea has those frozen meatballs in their Swedish Market area for sale. It's almost a must when you come shop here! They also have a restaurant which during my last visit was closed off due to indoor dining restrictions. Nowadays coming to Ikea can be a bit of a pain, finding good parking and waiting to get in. If you've been here lately you know what I mean by the wait. They make you walk in like a zigzag maze of barriers before you reach the actual line. These lines wrap around as if you are at Disneyland. I guess this is adult Disneyland, except it's for "adulting". It's a good place to buy small furniture that is not heavily or frequently used. Meaning if the furniture piece just stands there like a table or chair, it's fine. However, if you plan on using it frequently like placing heavy objects on tables or frequently used; go for the sturdier looking items. Most pieces are made of thin wood almost like balsa wood, but it's not. It just feels so light and delicate is all. I do have furniture from Ikea, but all they do is just stand there untouched except I pull a drawer once in a while. If you're just starting out or moved out to live on your own, Ikea is a good place to start. They have lots of kitchen gadgets and tools, furniture, and home decor items. If you're hungry they also have great snacks in the Swedish Food market. Lots of chocolate varieties, lingonberry sauce, meatballs (they also have fish balls and veggies balls) and many other kinds of foods. Don't forget to sign up for the Ikea Family Card. During your birthday month they email you a coupon for a free treat like frozen yogurt and $10 to spend on anything (used to be a free plate of meatballs and $15). Still, a pretty sweet treat! Happy shopping! read more
