Follow up to my previous review. Everything was as good as it was the first time. Food is better than expected. Service remains at an excellent level of professionalism and enthusiasm. I'll keep stopping in to see if they can stay consistent at this level. They seem to be a very good team that survived the cauldron of opening challenges and have gained the confidence of having persevered. read more

Worst customer service! It's non-existent at this place. Called to place a to-go order, the server taking my order answered the phone with a lazy "hello", then when I was done with my order, I said "thank you" and she just hung up on me! My husband went to pick up the order and wasn't greeted when he came in. He had to walk up and "bother" a busy associate messing around with the register and had to wait at least a minute until the guy finally looked up and said "I can take your payment".. without even asking what he needed help with! To top it off, there were at least 4 employees standing around at the hostess/register station, and none of them knew which to go order was which. Get new management and new employees! read more

I went for a salad. Used the app and placed an order for pick up in 30 minutes. I arrived before my pick up time so I don't count that wait time. I waited 10 minutes after my pick up time for a salad. At one point the hostess? came out to say it would be just a few minutes and she happened to be holding an empty container that looked just like what my salad ended up coming out in. I assume she made it. Service was slow as I watched a few others come in and wait and wait to be seated. Not that the place was crowded, just that there was no host in the entry area but there was a wait to be seated sign. There's a sign on the door saying they're hiring so maybe this is a case if they were short staffed that night. Anyways, I ordered the salad because it has avocado on it and was very disappointed to get back to the hotel to find out there was no avocado. You might be asking why did I go to IHOP for a salad - it's within walking distance to my hotel. Next time I'll walk the opposite way and head to Cracker Barrel. read more

This WILL be my final try with this location. Our waitress seemed to be on some kind of drug, she never checked on us once my daughters onion rings were cold we asked another waitress to get ours. When asked for hot onion rings she stormed off cursing we could actually hear her. My chicken Cobb salad was completely created with whatever was left in the back. A ton of mushrooms in which don't even come on it. Chunks of big lemons. No blue cheese crumbles because "they never have had them" the description says it comes with bacon, blue cheese crumbles AND tossed in ranch. I had to get vinaigrette. I'm sooooooooooo tired of this BS IHOP I'm SO livid that this is the FORTH horrible experience and always pay for this crap!!!!! Revamp the whole crew, menu manager just keep the coffee if you want this place to stay standing. Sad to see IHOP this way!!!!!! read more

Typical good iHop food, but food takes forever to come out. Servers are competent and courteous and hustle so I keep returning hoping it will get better. They seem to have a lot of turn over. My last visit was at dinner time. The young lady serving us said she had been on since breakfast, over 12 hours, which I didn't was allowed for minors. I could hear the manager cussing at staff in the kitchen. We won't return under the current conditions. read more

Rate I hop at a one. They didn't even cook the food. And the plate they wanted us to eat off of was dirty! Their was even hair on the food.

The ONLY reason they get 2 stars is their pancakes were good and the ladies room was clean. The rest, forget it. I ordered steak and eggs. Pretty standard breakfast fair. Steak medium rare, eggs over easy. Steak came out end burnt, crispy and curled. Entire steak was medium well - burnt. Eggs were over hard. Boyfriend ordered biscuits and gravy with hash browns. Ok first of all his plate comes with 2 biscuits that have approximately 1 teaspoon of gravy dolloped on the top of each one. As he checks his plate, we realize that instead of hash browns he had another biscuit cut in half, smashed flat and drizzled with gravy? WTF?!? Had to track down the waitress to get that rectified. Silverware was dirty. Glassware was dirty. The floor looked like it had not been vacuumed in about a month. The restaurant was not super busy. 2 waitstaff and 1 manager with about 25 customers. I was sorely disappointed as I have been to IHOP in many other states. This was horrible. I will not be back. read more

I visit here often, first off. I have never really had a terrible experience. Im a waitress so I know how it is. When I went there recently at about midnight with a few of my friends and was waited on by Katrina. She was so sweet, personable and gave friendly and fast service. I was bummed when I couldn't get crepes because they were making the batter, so I got the stuffed French toast but with Nutella and bananas instead. It was phenomenal! read more

I wasn't pleased with my visit to this restaurant today. When we entered, there is a wall so that employees inside the dining room were not able to see us waiting. After a considerable wait for a seat we were never asked for our drink order. I observed tables who were seated after us getting waited on. When someone cleaned the table behind ours I asked to speak to our server. She came back and said our server got 3 tables at once and she would be taking care of us. Our orders came out in 3 different waves. I was the last to get my burger and then they tell me they were out of the side I ordered. I did not see a manager during our entire visit. read more

Rough experience. Waited over an hour for our food. We had a large party and the customer service was awful. The checks were screwed up. Just not good read more

Overall bad experience. Our server was not the least bit pleasant - seemed like it was an annoyance to have any tables - and she disappeared for long periods of time, which wouldn't have been a big deal if we didn't have issues with the food. Food was served cold & she never returned to check on us so I sat there 15 minutes waiting to ask to amend it. She was not helpful or sympathetic to the issue when told of it. Replacement food was also cold. Will not be returning. read more

Worst service ever . I have came with a friend on 5 different occasions and every time it is worse . We are the only one at the restaurant and it took 30 minutes for our food . Asked for more water and toast and never received any. So disappointed IHOP was my favorite place to go but the services is horrible. read more

Put off going here for so long because I didn't hear anything good. My boyfriend and I went at 1 am on a Monday. We waited about five minutes before even being acknowledged. There was only one waitress, she was extremely nice but made it known that she was the only one working. I ordered eggs, bacon and hash browns, they were mediocre. Chocolate chip pancakes were great though. My glass was empty 90% of our whole visit which I wasn't happy about. There was a loud group of young guys repeatedly using the F and N word. I've worked in many casual restaurants and we wouldn't have ever let that continue on. I didn't have silverware and had to search for syrup myself. The waitress really wasn't around when I needed something but she was the only one working. We would have left her a larger tip but we knew the wait for her to collect our money and bring us change was going to be long, so we didn't. It wasn't worth the money really. read more

Giving this new iHop 1 star because I can't give it 0. Been here twice - first time was less than average food, small portions, and terrible service. Left there so hungry, I went somewhere else. Worst iHop I've ever been to. Inside, it's not the usual roomy, comfortable accommodations you may be used to at a typical iHop. It's claustrophobic - extremely small and tables are packed in. Even so, I was hopeful the second experience would be better. I went in and because there was a wait, I just asked for takeout. They took my order right away. In 45 minutes after asking about the order twice, I walked out with my order. People had come in and gone by the time I got my order. No apology from the manager (if you can really call him that) that I talked to. I was told they were waiting on bacon while I'm observing about 20 people eating bacon that had arrived after me. As I was driving out, I noticed 7 staff members out back talking, smoking, etc. Three minutes later when I got home, I unpacked my meal. As I feared, the main part of it had been sitting long enough that they let it get cold. So then I had to microwave the meal I waited 45 minutes for. The cherry on top? They only gave me half of my order of bacon. Food was, well, average at best. Done with this dive and I hope you, the reader, learn from my experience and avoid this land mine as well. read more

Got food but no silverware, I proceed to take ROLLED silverware off of adjacent clean table, unroll and eat warm sausage. Odd smell, I look at the fork and cheap pink lipstick was still smeared on fork. Yuck. Both sets of rolled silverware were absolutely filthy. Made me sick to my stomach. read more

Give this place some time...to go out of business. Our wait was a half hour, it was another few minutes to order and then after waiting about 20 minutes for our food, the waitress came to tell us that they were out of cinnamon for the French toast my daughter ordered. How can a brand new restaurant that's only been open 2 weeks run out of an ingredient for an item on their special menu? After my daughter chose something else, we waited a few more minutes until they brought out what we originally ordered minus the replacement. We were completely done eating, (I shared my meal) and the table was cleaned off before they brought her new pancakes. I asked for them to go since we were clearly finished eating. The young manager brought them out wrapped in plastic wrap between 2 paper plates. REALLY? I know they have carry out containers because I saw other tables getting them. We were there over 90 minutes and ready to leave when our order was complete. SAD! They did take that meal off, but I'd wait a while until they can figure out what they are doing before dining here. read more

Went to breakfast at 8am. Seated almost immediately. But then it took forever for our drinks to come and when the food arrived our pancakes were cold and tasted horrible. The best part was the eggs but who can screw them up. I would much rather go to Cracker Barrel right down the street. read more

My wife and I went to the only IHOP in our area at about 10:30pm. There were several people in the place at the time and we were placed directly across from a table of full of several loud teenagers. Not usually a problem, however they were dropping the "F" bomb every other word, pushing and shoving each other at the table. It got very annoying very quickly and the restaurant staff really didn't seem to mind. We ordered our food, pancakes and French toast, easy and quick right? We waited about 20-25 minutes, listening to the antics of the table across from us the entire time, when the food finally came out it was ice cold! We got up and notified the staff and the manager about the kids, the wait and the ice cold food, we then walked out never to return! read more

Was there for the first and last time. Food came out very slow and had to wait on several sides. Waitress was very forgetful and had to ask us the same question several times. Ordered a steak med well and came out super pink. Told the waitress and she walked away and never fixed it. Will not be going back again!!! read more

If I could give this zero stars I would. I've gave this place many chances to give great service. I'm also a server so I get it. Sh*t happens. Every time I go I wait for over 5 minuets to get seated and by the time I get sat it takes another 5 minuets so get greeted. Or they mess something up on our food. This past time. We waited (as always) to be sat. We got sat. The server had poor attitude, as always. They all walk around like they hate their job. When the server sat us she didn't say anything and just walked away. We sat there for 25 minuets and no one greeted us or sat I'll be right there. There was 8 other tables in the restaurant. It's not like it was busy. There was more than one server there. There was no need for us to wait there that long. We then got up and left after another table waited sooo long that they didn't even bother getting their food they left. No stopped us on the way out and said I'm sorry, or hey let us make this up to you. Just kept chatting. Never see a manager there either. This place is ran by children. As someone who works in a cooperative restaurant I don't understand how they're still in business. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED NEVER GO HERE read more

Recently opened a few months ago and is now of my favorite spots. All of my experiences have been great, ranging from food to service to the general manager Bailey. She always checks in and is very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone! read more

Our usual breakfast place was closed this AM so we thought we'd give ihop a try. We sat down and we're greeted right away. Drinks came out quickly and we ordered. Well we then waited 40 minutes for our food to come out. While we were waiting the people sitting next to us had a hair in their food. That made us a little concerned. When our food FINALLY came out my wife got an omelet (that was actually really delicious) that came with three pieces of freezing cold toast. My meal was wrong and cold. Overall slow service, cold food, friendly waitress, mediocre experience. read more

I won't even give a star. Terrible place. Took forever to get our food. When we did get our food it was cold. After waiting again for them to redo our order we found hair in our pancakes. Our daughter had mac and cheese. She did not order meat and they put crumbed up meat on her plate. Terrible place. I have a gift card and I don't ever want to go again. After talking to the manager he didn't charge us. Never go back again read more

Wait staff very friendly but slow as the molasses not contained in their syrup. Took 5 minutes to get seated in a virtually empty restaurant. Floors very dirty. Food took a while to come out. Must say the eggs over easy were quite good. Scrambled eggs dry, even when ordered soft. AYCE pancakes a nice touch. Next time we go out for breakfast food we'll stick with our local family restaurant. read more

This is the most horrible service that i have ever experienced! Hostess was eating at host station, greeted us with food in her mouth. My server was rude. It took 15 minutes for our server to even acknowledge we were here. Took 12 minutes to even get our drinks and another 30 minutes to get my food which was cold. There were a total of 11 parties in the restaurant with 4 servers. Like I said this was horrible. Oh just got my receipt and got charged for food i didnt order! 04/21/2016. Confusing entrance door. Herd of red shirt employees inside. Takes forever to order and even longer to get your order. We each ordered omelettes. Mine was the Colorado with ham, cheese, sausage and shredded beef with hash browns on the side. The beef was laying on top in the picture so I thought they forgot it but I found it inside. Everything was made well but I wasn't fond of my choice but someone else might like it. I just thought the sausage, ham and beef clashed. Had a hell of a time getting out of the place with all the red shirts blocking the way in the entrance. They stand there in a big bunch and you can't get through. Stupid. They kept apologizing for everything taking so long so I guess they had some sort of problem. Second visit 05/20/2016. Better today. Not near as many employees standing in our way everywhere. Food pretty good but we specified unsweetened ice tea and the waitress said no problem but brought us tea with sugar. Too stupid to realize the importance to people with blood sugar problems. Is IHOP that stupid after all these years? Maybe they don't care. 10/13/2016. Haven't been here for a while. Wasn't too bad. Tried a burger which surprisingly easy to eat considering they also slice their tomatoes on an angle! I must be stupid because when I slice tomatoes for a sandwich I try to slice them straight. I thought that makes them easier to stack in a sandwich. Anyway it worked out well but they put huge pieces of onion on my burger. Not slices but whole solid pieces which suited me because I love onion but one piece kept sliding out so I finally grabbed it with my fingers and pulled it out and WOW! It was a whole top of an onion in a cone shape about an inch high and 1 1/2 inches across the bottom and I showed it to my daughter. Look at the size of this piece of onion!!! Why is in on a burger as thick as it is? I guess I must be old school making sandwiches with flat ingredients. Today all sorts of shapes are in style! Who cares if they slide out all over your clothes and run down your arm? ME! read more

Slow service. Incomplete order. Food not fresh. Nice staff but they need more training..so do cooks.

I see all these negative reviews and I don't understand why. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about the menu the entire restaurant is very clean from the entrance to the bathrooms which is rare in a chain restaurant. The food came out in a timely manner all prepared the way we ordered it and hot. People keep talking about the service but it was great our server was prompt and polite and the manager was walking around doing her table checks. I would recommend this place to anyone and I am defiantly going back. read more

my wife and I visited this afternoon around 1:30 for a late lunch/early dinner. we were seated quickly and the server was right there to take our drink orders which she brought out in a timely fashion. from there things went down hill fast. as we looked around I noticed that about a dozen ceiling tiles had been stained from leaks and you could tell it was repeatedly as the marks were distinct demonstrating that they had not been changed out from the first leak. the floors had debris all over the place not just around tables were you might expect to see it. almost all of the employees had on aprons and shirts that where stained heavily looking like they had not bee washed for days at least. there was a lot of apologizing being done by the employees for everything from food taking a long time, orders being wrong, and even not having silverware as their food was being delivered stating that there was no clean silverware currently. we both ordered burgers my wife asked for hers to be well done as she always does, the sight of undercooked meat puts her off, I was not even asked how I would like mine prepared. our order came out in a timely fashion however when my wife lifted the top of her bun off you could immediately see that there was something not right with her burger. it was a pale brown color and as she broke of a piece at the edge it revealed that the meat was still raw and when she touched it, it was still cold. we have eaten at ihops before at different places in the country and have never experienced this. we feel badly for the employees as it is clearly a case of mismanagement and does not represent the standards we typically find at this chain. I would avoid this location read more

I hop is horrible, no one was there to seat us, we had 3 different servers, and they never said your welcome. Food wasn't great either.

We were in town for a wedding and a group of 15 of us visited this location. We were greeted by a very friendly, smiling staff who did not blink an eye at our request to sit together if at all possible. With a "can do" attitude, the staff quickly surveyed the dining room and reported that it would be about 15 minutes - and they were right! Debbie was our server and she performed as a true professional of the business ensuring the coffees and waters were refilled throughout the meal, and making sure that all ordered food was delivered. No orders were missed and the food was cooked to order, hot, and served in an expedite fashion. I am sure that there was a lot of working together by the staff to serve us a group. We had a wonderful experience and appreciate the great service by Debbie and her colleagues. The staff was personable and fun! I would visit this establishment again without hesitation. read more

this is by far the worst Ihop we have ever been to, the hostess were pre occupied with other employees, or on their phone, servers were slow and my order was completely wrong. never once did I see a manager, and when I did they walked right past us, no one came back with refills, and slapped the bill on the table. they are just disrespectful and they need new management considering no one wanted to work with us... never again , we will go to a diner rather than Ihop. oh and it was trashed, dirty tables, debris on floor and fingerprints all over the window... read more

I visited IHop for the first time, and probably my last. The staff was inexperienced, overwhelmed and from what my experience saw unprofessional. The staff in the waiting area were more interested in talking about their personal lives and verbally expressed their disdain every time someone walked through the door and interrupted them. Everyone was treated like and spoken to as if we were in a city IHop in Baltimore or York City. I know they just opened and have work to do, which brings me to my next observation the trainers and manager didn't appear to know what they were doing either. People were haphazardly walking around looking confused. Once we did get seated it took someone nearly 15 minutes to even acknowledge we were there. When we got our food it was ok, I'm sure it would have been better warm or hot since it took thirty minutes before it was brought out to us. Our waitress was a nice gal but I don't think she really knew exactly what she was doing and I can't blame her for that. Not sure since I've never been in an IHop before but my wife has, and says this is very tiny compared to the ones she went to growing up in New Jersey. Maybe time will cure these problems, maybe not. Time will tell. I may try back in six months to see. If they haven't picked up their game, starting with the waiting area I won't hesitate on walking out like several people did the day I was there. read more

Poorly staffed & managed place. When IHOP came to York I was excited and held my hopes up due to the excellent service at prior restaurants of the chain. However, my hopes were severely diminished as soon as I walked in the door. No one seemed to even care about the customer at all. The host wasn't welcoming either, and just asked for how many people we had in a monotone voice. During our wait, she dropped the menus about 8 to 10 times without even cleaning them off and then gave them right to the next customers. Now I'm sorry but that's just gross. Our server didn't even get us silverware at first and she was nowhere to be found when we needed her. At most she said two sentences to us and gave us an overall rushed (like we were supplied to work on her schedule) kind of feel. Once we got our food, I got the Rootie Tootie (if I'm spelling that right) which was just at most 5 peaches on top of 4 pancakes, that's it. I can tell the cooks either don't know what they're doing or they're just being cheap with their meals and not giving people enough. Honestly I could make something at my house better than what I got, and a lot cheaper for sure. The size of the restaurant is quite small compared to other IHOP's I've been to. Overall, this place is poorly managed with staff that doesn't seem to care about the customer's experience. You could get a better meal at Baskin Robins across the street. read more

Such a terrible experience! We were in town for a family event and in the morning my sister, brother-in-law, fiancé, myself, and between the two couples our 3 children (one 2 year old and two under 1 year) went to this IHOP for breakfast. Yes, we were a party of 7, but only 5 of us were ordering obviously and 1 of those meals was a kids meal. Immediately after we arrived a family of 8 arrived and was seated before us but we understood that it was probably harder to accommodate to 2 babies and toddler for seating. However we were seated directly behind the family of 8, so it was extremely cramped and the woman behind me was very rude when I asked her if she could please move in a bit so we could sit down (there was a good 6in between her and the table). Ordered drinks (4 coffees, 2 oj's, 2 waters, 1 chocolate milk) then ordered our food and proceeding to wait over 40 minutes with nobody asking if we'd like refills and no sign of our food. No sign of our waitress ever again except 1 time to say she would check on our order. The babies were getting fussy- as any baby would when they're hungry and stuck in a highchair for almost an hour in a crowded restaurant. My sister asked to speak to a manager and nobody came out until we got fed up and decided to just pay for our drinks and leave. Coincidentally or not, that's when the manager came out and offered us a $60 "VIP card," which was just written in marker on the back of a business card. Curious to see what would happen if we did try to use it but we won't be returning. 2 stars only because I really appreciate the manager's attempt to rectify the situation. Other than that it was a very disappointing experience. read more
