Went here with my friend, nobody was eating but was greeted by an amazing young man. I really like how the food was hot and fresh. We got the chicken and waffles and both came out amazing. He tried to duck and dodge us for a bit as we were waiting for him to bring back our change. Our bill was 70.63. He came back eventually so we followed him to the cash register. He proceeds to pull out 40 dollars and a five dollar bill and told us that's all we gave him despite haven given him 80 dollars and a 5 dollar tip in one's. I was extremely upset at the service at this restaurant. I came here for a quick brunch but what I have experienced is one of the most displeasureable restaurant experiences I've had to endure. Ordering food was an ordeal, I ordered off the menue yet our waiter still had to ask the chef it my order was possible, even though it was printed on the menue. There was an issue with my sweet tea, so I asked for a replacement of regular tea, this alone took WELL over 30 minutes with repeated reminders, each time I was freated with "I'll get it right now" and each time she left the sweet tea on the table and walked to the other side of the restaurant. I ordered a pancake with a face for my son. It comes deformed. I feel so judged as my son is special needs. He begins to cry. This pancake is so disgusting. I always avoid this IHOP because I have a bad experience every time, but I figured it's been a couple years so I decided to go with my family this time. I regretted it, as usual. They're always understaffed, and this time they had no spoons, no CO2 for their soda machines so no soda, and no bottles of ketchup. It took at least 20 min for our server to initially help us, and when he did he had one AirPod in during our entire stay so he couldn't hear anything. He forgot one of our drinks, mixed up the order and brought out the wrong food, and there was hair in the steak (ordered medium but arrived very well done). After I noticed the hair, I showed it to the server and he and the manager only took 20% off the whole order (about $10) and left the steak on the receipt ($18). If i could give this place 0 stars then I would. My colleague and I ordered breakfast using the DoorDash app. Once our food arrived it was the completely wrong order. I contacted the restaurant and they stated that the driver picked up the wrong food however, they wanted the initial meal returned prior to giving us the correct order (ummmm.....wtf??). I contacted the driver who stated that's the order they gave them after he stated my name. My daughters meal was incorrect. She tried to move forward with it but just didn't like. We let the waiter know and he said that's what she ask for. My last friend paid in cash with a 50 and her meal was around 13 dollars so she should have had around 36 in change. When Ms. Mary came back with her change she only gave her 26 dollars. When my friend called her out on it Ms. Mary tried to say it was all the change she had. However after going back and forth with her she finally gave up and pulled the 10 dollars from her pocket. I came here on a Saturday morning around 11am and it was jammed packed. I had a party of 12 and it took about an hour for the restaurant to accommodate us because they do not take reservations. The wait wasn't so bad because we were able to secure seating in the small waiting area.I'd imagine not being as unbothered if I had to stand or wait in front of the cold entrance as people come in and out. The restaurant had another party of 12 who had been sitting down for over 2 hrs (not ordering anything for the last 40+ min of their stay), and my party was waiting for their table. The ordering of food once seated was pretty seamless for such a big party (there were a few hiccups, but nothing to ding points for).
