Jalapeno Kick Burger with onion rings and 55+ Fish &Broccoli and 2 waters with lemon
    Christine C.

We ordered dinner for 2. 55+ Fish and Broccoli, Jalapeno Kick Burger, and onion rings. 2 waters with lemon. Dessert was the Waffle Sundae. All very good I must say. The waitress brought our food promptly. She made sure we had 2 extra fresh glasses of water as well. The establishment was clean and appealing. Very quiet as well. I would say the choices are limited for dinner. This to me is a big breakfast feast. Because breakfast items seem to dominate the menu. Plenty of choices here. Enjoyable place to go.

Have not been to a international House of pancakes in a very long time and this one was just not it I ordered the crêpes and even though they were folded crêpes, they were very bland not what I'm accustomed to. No flavor at all. The host is seemed to rush us. My mom's in her 80s, so please don't rush a senior citizen. I had to ask the hostess several times to please give her a minute and let her see what she wants to order from the menu. When my mom was ready to order, the hostess was standing right there could be a good thing, but I found it as a bad thing because she was hovering so much. The place was basically empty. There was maybe only four other patrons in there. Makes me wonder why when the IHOP in Fontana California stays packed. Well, it was a bite to eat after taking her to her doctors appointment. We just know not to stop at this one again

    Country fried steak and omelet

Stopped by around 9 PM on a Friday after drinks at Hula Hula. Pro: better than NORMS on Hawthorne Blvd. Con: service was very slow, though they only had three employees working the floor at the time. The food itself was solid, which saved the experience. What threw me off were the small surprise. I asked for brown gravy with my mashed potatoes, which feels like a pretty standard diner request, but they didn't have any. They offered extra white gravy like used for my country fried steak instead. I had the country fried steak, and my boyfriend ordered an omelet. Overall, decent food, just be prepared for slower service and limited options.

Came here for my daughter's best friends bday! Service was only good when we asked for a different server. I wish I remembered her name but I don't. She was super sweet and bubbly and definitely made the experience better after the first server who was not very nice and little rude with attitude! If it weren't for the next server I would have given this place a 1 star! My friends food had to be made 3 times before she was actually satisfied enough with it. My food was delicious, I ordered the spicy poblano eggs Benedict hash browns and a hot chocolate which I refilled 3 times. Lol. The restaurant looks pretty new so that's always a plus bc it nice and clean.

So happy for a new location of IHOP to be opening up close to me. They did a great job transforming the location from a Chinese restaurant to IHOP. Everyone I encountered has been super friendly. It was quite busy for lunch on Veterans Day. I ordered the Poblano eggs Benedict and it was delicious. The other dishes in my party was a 55+ platter that had sausage, eggs, bacon, hash browns and a pancake. Sadly the pancake was a little dry, we let the staff know and it was replaced. When it came out, it looked a lot better and it was perfect. Dad ordered a T-bone steak, he chose two sides, french fries and beans. Overall, it's great! If you grew up on IHOP, nostalgia will win.

This new location of IHOP is now open! They only opened less than a week ago, so the service is still getting its bearings but overall we had a good meal. I haven't been to IHOP in years, and there was plenty to pick from on the menu. I got the poblano omelette with a stack of pancakes and it was very satisfying and quite well presented. The pancakes had the delicious butter well and the omelette was very flavorful (if a bit salty). Service again was still getting its bearings with speed by a but everyone very attentive and friendly. The interior is cheery and bright!

Located off Hawthorne Bl in Torrance formerly was the Seafood Port Chinese restaurant. The transformation from the old to now was done very well you would have never expected this being a Chinese restaurant with all the round tables and dimmer lighting around. This one is 24 hours and menu selection is not bad from your breakfast to sandwiches and burgers. I do miss the Rooty Tooty Fresh and fruity meal and the Silver Dollar pancakes. I wish they still had those available on the menu. Service was good and pretty fast our server was nice. Overall it's good to have an IHOP back in Torrance after a few closed down.

Quality Customer Service, food and ambiance. Definitely my go-to IHOP in Torrance, and genuinely grateful for the superb staff, such as my waitress, Miss Melissa, that motivate me to always come back.

Just opened on Tuesday 11/4/2025 so they are still getting trained/up to speed. Place looks great and good energy (lots of smiles). Seated after a short wait Ordered the "everything" and combo Took a bit for food to arrive but everything looked good when it arrived Everything tasted good Would have liked a few more check-ins as we waited a bit to be able to ask for some extra napkins (no biggie but no wait would have been higher rating) Over all good experience and met expectations. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. Plan to return

The steak is or was, mediocre. This is a seafood restaurant and specialty. If you come here, I'd say don't do the surf and turf (steak) but opt for more seafood. The shrimp grilled in the shell is lackluster because the shrimp often sticks into the shell and dry out, harder to eat and less delicious, in my opinion. All of the fishes that are grilled are great and the best options.

After a long drive, we were hungry, as we hadn't stopped to eat on the way. Anyway, when we arrived, it was just after 10PM on a Friday night. Though the area was bustling, we were able to find easy street parking less than a block away. The restaurant was busy, but there were plenty of open tables. The place had a bit of the old diner type of vibe, but it was definitely more upscale and modern. We were greeted and seated right away. As we sat down, I saw some of the food being brought out and everything looked great. The menu was quite vast, so it took some time to decide. We decided to start out with the California Tots. They were a huge plate of crispy tots with cheese sauce, bacon and lots of other toppings. It was probably enough for us to share for dinner. However, I then had my mind set on the Tuna Manhattan, which was sort of a fancy tuna melt. The offered a regular tuna melt (off menu) if I preferred. The Tuna Manhattan was served on a bun with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a huge slice of avocado. It came with a side salad, fries, or soup. They also offered me some other sides I could substitute as well, such as onion rings or sweet potato fries. When I asked about the soup selection, they gave me four I could choose from. I ordered the French Onion. Anyway, the portions were generous and everything was delicious. It was also a great value for the amount and quality of food. The Kettle is open 24 hours. If you ever want late night (or anytime) eats in Manhattan Beach, I highly recommend The Kettle for a good solid meal.

When we arrived at our table, they had a card signed by staff congratulating us, and it was a night to remember. Great food, great service, and the warm hand towels after my dad demolished the baby back ribs were the cherry on top! Our group also ordered the chilean sea bass, salmon, and bistro plate. 10/10. One of our final meals as a family of two was Valentine's Day 2026. It was our first time being seated indoors, and the ambiance was dim and romantic. The meatloaf special was fantastic! They were also understanding when me and my husband were running a few minutes past our reservation time due to fhe baby, and we appreciated the flexibility. Noise level was moderate, but definitely quieter outside. If you get nothing else from this review, just remember this: ORDER THE WARM BUTTER CAKE. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT. Everything was cooked perfectly, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. The highlight of the evening, though, was our server, Greg. He made us feel completely at home from the moment we sat down. His recommendations were spot on, he was attentive without ever being intrusive, and when my girlfriend got a little chilly on the patio, he even brought her a blanket without us having to ask. It's those thoughtful little touches that truly elevate an experience. As the sun began setting over the marina, Alison Brecht performed live acoustic music that created the most romantic atmosphere.
