I can't remember his name my server but he was a good guy. Food was good (ihop standards). This last time I went it was just a hot ass mess. We arrived for breakfast today (Sunday) and were seated right away because there was no wait and the place was not crowded. We ordered drinks and ordered our food. 40 minutes later, people who had arrived 20 minutes after us were eating and we were still waiting for our food. I got up and told the manager. She argued with me that it had only been 20 minutes. I know exactly how long it had been because I always put a timer on my phone when I walk into a restaurant. That place is beyond horrible. Horrible everything. When we arrived we were told there was a 30 minute wait. We sat down in their waiting area, we saw an empty booth but we weren't gunna be those people. 30 minutes go by, they sat us in that same empty booth. We got greeted immediately, got out drinks and we ordered, they were quick about that... Just as quick to forget about us too. The big top next to us complained to someone that it had been an hour since they ordered. No apologies whatsoever, so I started the timer on my phone. There were only three other tables/families eating, the rest of the place was empty. We walked in at 3:02pm to be exact, we were seated. The waitress took our drink orders. It took her 10 mins to return with our drinks. She then took our food order, this was 15 mins into us being seated. My sister and her friend decided to try their new Burgers iHop is raving about. The rest of us ordered typical breakfast dishes (scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes). Our food took about 45 minutes to arrive at the table. And this is not even during peak hours, they were not busy at all. By this time there was only 1 other table eating. When the food finally arrived, it was COLD. You took 45 mins to bring the food out and by the time it arrived, its cold. NONONO!!!!! My sister's friend Jen called the waitress back and asked to speak to the manager. She stated what I just said ... FOOD TOOK 45 MINS TO ARRIVE AND ON TOP OF THAT ITS COLD The manager apologized and told her she didnt have to pay for it. He said the cook didnt show up and he was having to play cook for the day (that may explain the long wait and cold food). But even the waitress was rude when Jen complained about the cold food and took a loonngggg time to refill drinks. When my bill came out (hence the manager didnt waive my bill, I guess cuz I didnt say anything when he was at the table listening to Jen. Even though my pancakes and eggs were cold as well). I noticed he waitress charged me $1 to substitute a yogurt (because my youngest is allergic to eggs). It was then when I called her over and said, EXCUSE ME, you never mentioned it would be $1 extra to substitute a yogurt in place of eggs. You can have the yogurt back. This is something you mention to the customer when they are placing the order, so they know ahead of time. So my food was cold, took a long time, and on top of that you are charging me an extra $1 for yogurt. For this kind of service, you should have waived the $1 for the yogurt. She got upset and stormed off. I waited another 10-15 mins and she never came back. At this time we all got up and asked another waitress where I paid for my food and asked if she could take the $1 for the yogurt off the bill, she said okay, I'll take care of it. She then came back and said, the manager said you dont have to pay the bill, its on the house today. That was nice and all, but doesnt make up for lousy service, long wait time and cold food. I tipped the other waitress who brought me the occasional coffee refill (take it she was not the waitress assigned to us) and told her our only complaint was the long wait time, the cold food, and the waitress bad/rude atttude. We walked out at 4:50pm, almost two hours for 2 burgers, eggs and pancakes. And as I said before, the restaurant was literally empty. There is no excuse for this lousy service. I hope the manager reads this and makes changes. I am not from Rosenberg, but its ashame I'm going to think two or three times about it, before stopping off at this place again and giving them a second chance when visiting my parents who live in Rosenberg. To celebrate my 22nd birthday, I went out to brunch with my mother and compared to a few past experiences with dry food or wrong orders at this location, this one was the most improved. Yesterday they were closed because of a water leak so today was a little more busy than usual. Our server, Thomas, was getting a bit overwhelmed but despite that he was very professional about it and politely apologized for his rattled brain and I appreciated that. Aside from Thomas, I also want to comment about the manager, Josh. Josh was the most concerned and friendly manager I have ever met and made us feel very welcome. if I could give no stars I would. My husband and I came in this morning at about 8:45am. We were seated promptly and received pretty good service until we ordered. We didn't order anything off the menu or anything that should have required any extra effort at all. After that we were basically forgotten about. At the 20 minute point I chased down our waiter and he said that it was coming and he was keeping up with it but didn't apologize for the wait or offer a time frame as to when our food would be ready. 10 minutes later our food came. The eggs were cold and overdone. The bacon was raw. My husband spoke with the manager and she acted like she didn't really care. Walked in and immediately noticed the floors are filthy and could tell they have not been swept all morning. Sat down to a wet table that had just been wiped down. So I had to use my napkin to dry it off. As I unwrapped the silverware, I saw the fork and knife were dirty (see pic). I alerted the waitress, and instead of apologizing, she quickly turned away as to get another set, almost ignoring my request for plasticware this time. 30 minutes later, still no food, only dirty silverware. Got up to complain to management and as I passed by the kitchen, I saw the cooks handling food with their bare hands after touching their face. No one here seems to care at all about cleanliness or customer service. To sum it up, it was a gross experience. I'm a fan of IHop do I was glad when one opened in Rosenberg, but this one was horrible. Our waiter (TC) couldn't repeat our orders back to us correctly. I asked for the French Vanilla creamers, and he brought half and half and said that's what I asked for. After delivering my omelette he said my pancakes would be out in a bit. After 10 minutes I asked for my pancakes, and he went back to the kitchen but never brought them. We waved him over and asked where my pancakes were and he got mad and said I never ordered pancakes. I said I did and he stormed back to the kitchen. Five minutes later he returned and asked if I really wanted pancakes. At this point I knew I wasn't getting pancakes. My experience at this IHOP was a pretty good one. First off after living in the area for 15 years the time for an IHOP on this side of town was long overdue! The wait was fifteen minutes, which on a Saturday afternoon was not bad at all. Our waitress were very nice, and even the waitress who was waiting on the table next to us was kind. Our food came a little on the slow side but not ridiculously slow, the place was busy. Everything came out correctly. We had a party of five adults and two children. Came in on National Pancake Day and got seated immediately. During our lunch, we had different staff members come by and check on us and thank us for coming. Our waitress was a young, sweet, blonde lady (cannot recall her name) who went out of her way to make sure we had everything exactly the way we wanted it. She even let us enjoy free take-away refills on our splashberry drinks (that came with unlimited refills), which was just awesome. Personally, I'm addicted to the NY Cheesecake Pancakes! read more

We have been here early in the morning and late at night. Doesn't matter the time- most of the employees are either rude, or not present. The server that did was about to clock out and was super rude to us acting like we weren't his problem and he even started arguing with us when we asked to have our order taken. We finally got service, but the food took forever. My hash browns were burnt and my omelette was really salty. My husbands food was good, however we had to open about 4 sets of silverware to find clean ones. While we were eating, there were several other parties that had entered, waited a bit, and left when they weren't helped at all! Be prepared to wait to be seated. Be prepared to wait to order drinks. Be prepared to wait to order food. Be prepared to send incorrect food orders back. Be prepared to wait to pay. If you enjoy paying money for food that is worse than what you can prepare, then this IHOP is the place for you. If ever there were an example of a restaurant that should go to full robotic/computerized service, this is the one. Just let us seat ourselves at a table with a tablet waiting on us. We can order drinks and food as soon as we are ready and then a robot can prepare and deliver them for us. When we are ready to pay, that can all be done at the table with cash or card with no waiting. Of course, the IHOP will need one or two smiling human faces to take care of the robots, but please get rid of the rest of them. They aren't competent. And on a slightly different note, I am really frustrated by the way Yelp (and many other companies for that matter) display the average star rating. Here is a terrible restaurant averaging 1-1/2 stars at the time of this review and yet the lowest star I can give them is 1 star (instead of 0 stars indicating the worst of quality). Due to Yelp *shading* in area on the stars, it appears as though IHOP has quality worth 30% as 30% of the area is shaded. In reality, if the lowest review is 1 star, that only gives area between 1 and 5, which is 4 spaces. If you are to view the IHOP rating in that manner, the average coverage in stars should only be 12.5% as 12.5% of the area is covered. All this to say, when you view the average star rating, go ahead and cover up the left most star and then look at it to truly understand just how terrible this restaurant is. My husband and I had breakfast at the IHop in Brick town on Route 88 yesterday morning 5/30/19. It had been an extremely stressful morning for us as we were receiving a doctors results of a cancer diagnosis. I wasn't paying attention and when I gave our server payment I inadvertently gave her a $50.00 bill instead of a $5.00 bill. I would have never known the difference until much later that day but the honesty of the young lady took me by surprise. She promptly returned with the money and told me I must have made a mistake. Terrible. Took my grandsons for Grinch "green" pancakes and hot chocolate. What a hot mess! No heart sprinkles. Regular colored sprinkles on "blue" whipped cream. This Ihop is close to where I live. I checked in at 8am then was seated fast. The server took our orders and took for almost 45 mins for our food to come. Our order was messed up. I did not get our order right and it took so much time. On our pancake he asked if we want butter on it, and said yes. He came back with butter on it but I can see his finger wd butter on it. I think he used his finger to make a small hole on top the pancake to put the butter in. It was so nasty. I'm never gonna come here again even if it was for free. I don't mind driving ny the sugarland location just to get very good service. This location is a zero star. Stay away from this location. read more
