How can you manage to serve cold fried eggs, toast too cold the melt butter, pancakes also too cold to melt butter, undercooked bacon, and cold hash browns for $55 dollar for a grandmother and her three grandchildren? Top it all off that restaurant was almost empty But the waitress was wonderful. She wasn't the cook. I only wish that I would have read the reviews beforehand. TERRIBLE. This is actually my second time here. The first time was on a sunday. Service was ex slow but I expeted it because there was a lot of people dining. Well, this review is solely for my second visit. I went to the infamous iHop with my fiance on a friday night. There were just 2 other people dining, so I figured "service is going to be good"... Well, I was dead wrong. Our ordered came out 45 mins later. When the waiter was bringing our food out, he dropped the burger.. On top of that, I didnt even order a burger. So basically they dropped the wrong food on the floor. He apologized and said that they will bring my turkey wrap as soon as possible.. 20 mins later, NOTHING. Again, there were FOUR people dining and that's INCLUDING me and my fiance. He asked my fiance if he needed a refill on his drink, but he never came back with the drink. OH MY GOSH. I was starting to get irritated, so I just told them to put my wrap in a to-go box and call it a day. Got my to-go box and no ranch on the side. Long story short, I sat at iHop waiting for my food that I never got, so instead, I am am enjoying my turkey wrap at home while watching "The Office". NEVER AGAIN. read more

Disappointed. This is an honest review. We went on a Friday evening around 6pm. Only 3 cars in the lot, and only 2 tables occupied, I was so hopeful since there was no crowd. It Smelled musty inside, puddles of water on the floor. my husband warned "don't do it" but we were hungry. Took approx. 8-10 minutes to get seated, even with no line. Seemed like tables were cleaned with water, not cleaning solution. Water on seats. Only one worker?! I felt the server was also the manager and cook because it took 5 mins to get menus, and 20 mins to get 2 kids meals and a tea. I noticed The server was "missing" for a while. The cups smelled "yucky" so I couldn't get myself to drink the tea. The Chicken was overcooked, fries were undercooked, burger was tiny & overcooked and pancakes were Very salty, smelled and tasted like playdough. we think they were supposed to be chocolate flavor. The smiley face melted lol. Maybe we should've got the crepes? We were there for about an hour and a half too long. The Server/ Manager was nice, got us replacement fries but then We had to wait to get the check. It's been a year since have been to an ihop and unfortunately, it was just off. I felt ill the next day. we won't not go back to this location. It's a Busy shopping center, I drove by another day this week and only 1 car there so based on this, it doesnt seem like a very popular place. I believe they are very understaffed. This was our first time at this location in Rosenberg. We should've checked the rating before stopping in. Walked in (145pm) and the restaurant was NOT busy. 6 tables at most. Service was super slow. We have been to the Sugar Land and Stafford locations and even at there busiest the service was quick and on point. Our server did a great job w/ our food order but was not in a hurry by any means. Pancakes were delivered to our table 10mins before our food, is this a new IHOP thing?? When our food came out it was almost warm. You could hear every conversation that was going on in the kitchen from missed orders,needing food runners, and employees conversations. My suggestion to the management, if you want this location to survive properly train the staff in customer service, prompt service and it would be nice to see some type of management out on the floor. read more

I have been here three times already. I have read the other reviews and never had complaints about service. All of the servers I had were great and attentive. However, I'm giving only 2 stars because every time either me or my husband orders something they don't have it. Yet they don't tell us until at least 10 mins AFTER we place our order. 1. Ran out of pancake mix. 2. No bananas for the banana fosters French toast. 3. No biscuits for biscuits and gravy. How do you plan to make money yet your restaurant is always out of an item? Been here many times service is a hit or miss. But after a night out was hungry and was trying to find a place to eat near home. Nothing was open should of just eat back in the city. Use to be open 24 but no longer I'm guessing thanks to Covid. Probably would make a lot more money if open 24 like other places in the city since it's right off the freeway. In comparison to the other reviews, I feel like I should rate my experience 5 stars. However, it wasn't a 5-Star experience, rather a solid 3 1/2 stars. First, the time of day; arrived at ~10:45am. My wife and I were seated promptly, our waitress "said" that she would be providing us excellent service. It wasn't excellent, but it was certainly acceptable. Our food arrived timely, our order was accurate and the food was hot and consistent with the IHOP quality I expect. So why 3 stars? Two small issues: 1. The waitress brought the coffee pot out and poured a cup of coffee for me, then asked if I needed creamer. I said yes and she said she would return right away. The waitress and the creamer were no-shows. By the time I finally got a manager's attention, that cup of coffee was cold. He promptly delivered creamer, apologized and so on. 2. When I looked at my bill, I noticed that the ticket didn't match my order. I was able to get the attention of the waitress this time and it was quickly resolved. Actually, the incorrect ticket was in my favor; but, that isn't the way I roll. In summary, in the absence of the two minor issues I mention, I would have rated this IHOP a solid 4 stars; as good a rating as I would rate most any chain breakfast restaurant. My recommendation is that you overlook the comments that tell you not to waste your time, and try it for yourself. You might be pleasantly surprised. It is likely that they are getting off to a slow start, and may have even rushed their opening while sacrificing some training. I believe they are headed in the right direction. Based on my experience, they are certainly deserving of more than the 1-Star average rating that I saw going in. read more

If it was possible i'd give this location zero stars for several reasons. I understand this is a new establishment and they are still learning, and i'm *usually* patient with this type of thing, but the customer service and overall experience is horrible. (btw we only had a party of 2 and rather simple orders with no substitutions) 1. we came on a Tuesday morning around 11 AM, we waited for a table for 40 minutes which would have been fine if there weren't open tables sitting there with trash on them waiting to be cleaned for 20+ minutes. 2. when we finally sat down, we were told that there would be a 45 minute delay for the food, so we were still like okay whatever, slow service is typical for new restaurants. well, we ended up waiting for our food for over an hour. 3. during that one hour wait for our food, we saw several other tables get up and leave before their food was also taking 45 mins+ to come out. Didn't see a single manager the almost 2 hrs we were there, no one came to check on us, no one came to refill our drinks. This location is poorly managed and poorly staffed, it's as if they hired a bunch or teenagers and threw them into work without any sort of training. Don't waste your time. read more

I was super excited to have an IHOP in the neighborhood but unfortunately I won't be going again. Deserves 0 star but giving 1 because of the the very nice front desk attendee who was doing the best he could with the resources that he was given. What a horrible, horrible experience. Food looked and tasted awful. It took about 65 minutes to get an omelette and a banana brioche french toast. Servers were slow and foegetful. Took 25 more minutes after we were done eating to get the check. Great interior for an IHOP but at least try to serve decent food perhaps? read more

I am giving this location three stars because it is a new restaurant & I know they have kinks to work out. After my experience I want to give them one star. 1. All of the teenage wait staff needs more training. The young guy who waited on us screwed up our order. We had all kinds of subs that we did not request. 2. It took over 30 minutes to receive our food. There were 3 adults & 1 child in our party. (May have something to do with all the subs now that I think about it) 3. I was given a check & handed over my CC. ---my Mother ordered a meal that came with hash browns. My meal didn't come with hash browns. In front of the waiter we said well I'll just take yours so I don't have to order an additional side. The waiter came back with my receipt & told us his Manager says we weren't allowed to do that so he charged me for an extra side of hash browns & ran my card for a larger amount without even telling me first. 4. My husband and I went for lunch on 2/14/23. It was EXCELLENT! Tenisha was our server. She was very attentive and got our order correct. Angel was the manager and every time we have been to that location while he is working, he has checked on us. The food was great as well as the service. My wife and I went there on Saturday morning for a late breakfast around 10am. We put our name on the list and sat down. We started seeing several groups being seated that arrived 15-20 minutes after did and my wife stepped over to the counter and asked about our status. She was told that they must have accidentally scratched out names off the list. We waited there another 10 minutes as they set another 3 groups - I asked the you lady at the desk who shrugged her shoulders with a smirk and said that they put us on the list as a new arrival - at the bottom. We left at 10:55 and had lunch across the street. As we were walking out a couple said out loud - I can't believe that hey didn't sit them right away. There will not be a next time for us. I tried this IHOP when Ralph was the manager. The food was cold but the staff seemed to be trying hard.I went back this time it was even worse. I really wanted this place to work but it fails. The workers gave up.This type of restaurant has to have s staff that wants to be there not just collect a check and go home. I think this needs to close, fire everyone and hire quality people.IHOP is a good brand but not with this staff. Yes, I know they hired another manager but she is failing too. This brand new place is dirty. I watched the busboy/dishwasher try to clean a table. The trash went to the floor and stayed there my entire visit. The tables were still left with syrup on them. Long wait for food and the order was wrong. The server never came back for drink refills. She brought the wrong food twice and that food went to waste which drives up food costs. I don't have any real answer on how to turn this place around but I guess IHOP doesn't either. There are better places to spend my money and I will go there. It's been 12 months since I was here last! Owners and managers I highly suggest you and your team go and shadow Sugarland location to see why they get all your business! my husband says give them. Try. Well the food was cold just out of the kitchen and then top it off plastic from the unmelted cheese in side my omelet! Yes cheese still in it's wrapper!!!! Silverware was also unclean. Not only is the food below restaurant standards but we also can't cook. Just go to the Sugarland location. Every time I go here they never have product to make crepes. What I really think is the cook is not capable of making the menu items. I've tried three time on separate occasions( months apart) to get said crepe. What do you know they don't have any. They aren't the busiest place so bright and early.They don't know how is make said crepes is my sneaking suspicion. This is one of those places that deserve zero stars. I thought we would change it up and take the kids to IHOP instead of Cracker Barrel and it was a huge mistake. So sad. It's a franchise that sells itself, all they have to do is provide good service...I have gone there 3 times and all 3 I have been shocked by how bad it is. It has NEVER been busy so service can't be blamed on them being understaffed. They took at least 5 mins to greet and seat us nearly 10 mins before waiter greeted us and took our drink order....it was actually pretty hilarious...we were sitting contemplating leaving since it was taking so long when the waiter walked up...he had the nerve to walk up and stare at us with us pen and pad ready to go....no greeting.....I was like well F*** it I'm not going to make his job easier so I stared back waiting for a greeting or a question...he finally mumbled out, "are you ready to order a drink or food?" I'm going to start by saying I have been to other locations and loved it. However, this particular location is the worst dining experience I have ever experienced. First, it took 20 minutes to order our drinks, another 15 minutes to receive our drinks. We then ordered and waited another 45 minutes to receive our food. All of our orders were wrong. We brought it up to our server and she blamed us for it being wrong. We then spoke to the manager who told us that she couldn't do anything about it, nor would she refund us for the items we didn't order. Our bill was $75 and half of the items on the ticket were not ordered, and the things we did order were not given to us. Not to mention our drinks were empty throughout our entire meal. Our server checked on our table once and never came back. We had to continually ask other servers for assistance. We were also sat right by the front door and could hear every time someone would walk in the doors. It was loud and not a pleasant experience. I will never be going back to this location. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. To start off they are always horrible with customer service. Once they see someone show up they run to the back and it takes forever to be seated. My boyfriend really wanted ihop so I said I'd try one last time at this location because it's closer. We walk in and stand there for two minutes until someone sees us then decide to sit down. (It's not even packed) well someone did see us and they sure enough walked to the back. We sat down waiting for more than 5 minutes and that's when I decided to get up and walk out.
