I couldn't believe the service nor the food. Service was terrible. The food though it looked good in presentation it was cold as ice. When I told the waitress she look at me like a deer in the headlights. She disappeared for 15 minutes. When she returned I asked to speak to the manager. She was nice apologetic but she didn't offer to take it off my bill. I left 30 $ on the table and told her this should cover it. Then she replied oh I'm taking your meal off. I gotta say, I had the best time ever at this IHOP last night and with all the bad reviews (I almost didn't go because of them) I thought it was important to acknowledge good service too! My out-of-town friend and I arrived around 12:30am and there was only one server working. Often that will mean a cranky server because they're overworked, but instead, George was as personable and nice as could be. He continued to provide extremely excellent service throughout the meal despite having several other tables and having to deal with the to-go orders too. He was on it with offering drink refills and anything else we needed. I over tipped, but actually wish I'd tipped MORE as this was the most efficient and amiable service I've had in years. Try calling in an order and no answer. Placed a mobile order that was set to be picked up at 10. Checked in via the text link and it said "we will bring your order out to you shortly". All good right? Wrong. 15 mins go by and nothing. They look busy so i let it ride. 30 mins go by. Nothing. Now im confused so i try calling no answer so I go inside. Kid ask for my name and says "oh i think its ready" then proceeds to bringout a cold bag of food. Ticket says it was closed out at 9:37am!! I ask why they didn't bring it out and he says "we don't have enough runners". Mind you 3 of them are standing at the counter and it took all of 30 seconds to get it out of the back. One star is being generous and it's only because the coffee was great. I expected the 45 minute wait but after being passed up in line the little homies running the host counter weren't at a pleasant. Still looking pass the unpleasant experience of the greeting we basically had to sit ourselves after being told by the little boy and a quote "go sit yourself at the obvious empty spot" but the over all appearance of the location just awful. The waitress comes to the table to ask if we were ready and was rude when we told her the sticker would not scan. Just unbelievable and I will NOT be returning to this place. Ok... so we read all the reviews and were very leery about coming here. It was New Year's Day and they were open so we went for it. We were so pleasantly surprised by the service from start to finish. We were greeted at the front door with smiles and courtesy, our waiter was excellent and very attentive, our food was cooked to order and delicious. They come out in a rectangular shape. It looks trash and the taste is not much better. Stopped for breakfast and when my omelette came out the plate was filthy, dried egg all around the rim of the plate. I asked the waitress to take it back and she returned within a minute with the same omelette on a clean plate, I sent it back again. Was looking for something to eat because I didn't eat all day, something that doesn't have crazy amount of calories. Never been to IHOP before, saw that they sell cheese steaks and it was 840 calories. Thought why not and not this is not a cheese steak, one slice of American cheese barely melted. Have been here before and had quite a wait. This time we were seated rather quickly. Found out why! When we were seated, I asked for coffee. when Brandon gave me the coffee cup, I could tell it was dirty and asked for another. I had to ask 2 more times before getting one on my own. When ordering i asked for a side of hollandaise sauce, not like asking for someone to assemble a rocket or perform a circumcision. A simple request. When my food finally came, he had again forgotten to bring the side. I had to ask again, then waited 5 more MINUTES for a tiny container half filled. What a joke. Then, my wife's plate (Chile Verde') omelet looked like someone had barfed on it. Totally disgusting and clearly not even resembled the picture on the menu at all. We've both been here before and had a better experience. obviously there are management problems that need to be addressed. I informed the manager of our dissatisfaction and all she said was... IHOP big flop! Look I understand when you go to IHOP you're not going for a 4 star meal. It isn't the fantastic cuisine that you are entering their doors for... But is it to much to expect the place to be clean? To not have food on the floor? To wash the dishes? To wipe down a table? This particular establishment is basically very close to where we live... so this is the IHOP we went to for brunch after my son's baseball game. As usual the place was packed! People waiting and stacked deep! When we finally got seated we walked past food on the floor, grime on the floor, our table was dirty, and we had to ask for new silverware... it was dirty too. I don't usually expect to much when it comes to the wait staff either, but we have been very surprised before... not this time though... it was pretty much same as usual.. no brain... no hustle... no clue! As my wife and I sat there with our boys we questioned even staying... to say it was filthy was to be kind. Still there place was packed! The last time I was here was maybe 6 months ago at the height of the Omicron surge, and I walked out after no one came to the check-in booth after 15 minutes - obviously short staffed. I was expecting the same, but was pleasantly surprised when I got seated within a couple of minutes, and the server was attentive. And this was during Friday night lights when all the high school games were ending and the place was getting crowded! My friend and I stopped in at this location on a Sunday morning. We just wanted some pancakes and an omelette. The pancakes, eggs, and bacon plate was delicious (per my friend). My omelete was saturated in cheese. I feel like it was more cheese than eggs. I do love cheese so I didn't complain. :D The reason why this location gets two stars is because it was dirty. There was unbussed tables all over the restaurant. They sat dirty the entire time we ordered and ate our meal. There was trash on the ground all over the restaurant. We even had a straight shot of the kitchen. While we waited for the check, we watched someone sweep under the counters pulling out LOTS of trash that had fallen underneath. Ew. Terrible service! The place was empty and no one was in the waiting area. There were 2 or 3 tables with people. We came in and waited. We didn't even get acknowledged. A waitress walked past us twice and didn't even greet us. We walked out after 15 mins waiting with no acknowledgement. As we were walking out we got a glimpse of the kitchen and workers were just standing around. What is going on? If they didn't want to serve people, they could have closed the doors or let us know they didn't feel like serving people. At least let us know what's up so we don't waste our time. This location always seems to be understaffed at first glance. But the harder you look you'll see a fair amount of staff that is just lacking in productivity and general awareness regarding customer service. For a to go order, if you want to call in instead of ordering online, you may have to call 10-15x before someone picks up. Then you may find 8-10 customers waiting to be greeted or seated. Chick fil a is right next door. Get them to do your next staff training ;) read more

This is the cutest, cleanest, friendliest IHOP in all of pflugerville/Austin area. I've gone here at breakfast time since I was 15 (20 now) and have never had a bad experience. I've literally cried here, gone on dates here, had group dinners with my band friends here after football games, etc. coffees good, milkshakes slap. If you do order something let it be new York cheesecake pancakes or a Oreo milkshake. Never let me down. Staff is super friendly, hopefully you get one of the peeps that have been here longer they somehow know how to make you laugh or smile on your worst days. I get an estimated time until my food should be out then never see anyone again. When I finally catch someone I find my order was never placed. They forgot or were busy and didn't want to make it so they canceled it. This time they just didn't place my order. I had to go look for someone after standing there 5 minutes and she was sitting at a table talking to a worker that was wrapping silverware. Then when we got drinks it was old food on my son's hot chocolate cup. Waited 40 minutes for food. Waitress never came to see if we needed refills. The food was burnt so I asked for a manager was told she was busy. Smh I did not want the food or to wait another 40 min so I just paid for our drinks and the baby's food and left the rest. I was here 12/14/19 with my siblings, and the three of us were seated decently quickly. Then comes the cruddy part. We were walked past by a manager, and no less than 3 servers, a combined 20+ times (yes, we counted) over a 20 minute period. NO DRINKS WERE EVEN ORDERED. We quite literally sat there, and made eye contact with 2 separate waiters, yet nobody came to check on us or even take an order. And sorry, but I'm not about to shout out at someone to take our order when that is LITERALLY YOUR JOB! The real kicker?! We left without ever being asked for our drink order, and in no less than a full minute after leaving, as we get in the car we see them clearing our menus from the table. I mean, REALLY?! Very disappointing service. 110% do not recommend. Sadly, this is the 2nd time out of 3 that this has happened. The first time, we were given a voucher, which we used on our next visit. I'm pretty much convinced at this point, that if you have no "ammunition" of proving that you will stand up about poor service, they will just ignore you. The poor employees of this place are overwhelmed and understaffed (and most definitely underpaid). They do their best to keep a smile and help everyone who comes in but it's just not enough. A manager needs to be up front at all times but I have never seen one. :( That being said this place stinks because food is never ready in time. The apps don't work properly (I can't customize my order like I want), no one picks up the phone so the idea of curb side does not work. Look, the food is fine but if it takes 4 times the quotes time for time and to get help then it makes me not want to come back here. Please get the employees more help! While I was waiting for my online "curbside" pickup that I had to go in for you can clearly see that more than half the restaurant is not being used. It's not a vivid thing either because people are still being seated next to one another. Again, please get the employees help. You are missing out on a ton of revenue that people want to throw at you but you can't get seated and therefore can't spend money.
