Small portion of fries, no hash browns on the burger, and the egg was not runny... If I'm in this area again, I'll either go to Panera next door or drive a little further to Waffle House. I had amazing dining experience at this Ihop. The food tasted amazing and was quickly made but the best part about my experience at this Ihop was my server Carly. She is very bubbly and a hard-working server. The restaurant was very busy when I dined in. She had many tables at that time yet still gave me a great service experience. She asked me things about my life and how I was doing, and I asked her things about her life and how she was doing. I was very impressed with her outgoing, energetic, and caring personality, amongst all the chaos of the restaurant being extremely busy at that time. I will definitely be coming back again to this location. When I do come back to dine in I will be sitting in Carly's section. Keep up your great service. I do think IHOP has gotten a little too expensive for the quality of food but it's still good food. It wasn't the cleanest, some trash was around the table we were sat at. Have you ever been to the DMV? The floor is fithy, the employees seem indifferent, the temperature is either too hot or too cold, and the customers look like they'd rather be any place else in the world? After a few minutes at IHOP, I considered stepping outside to look at the sign and make certain I hadn't accidentally entered the DMV. When I entered the freezing cold dining room at 11:40 am on a Thursday, I approached the hostess stand but no one was working in it. Several other people were standing nearby so I decided this must be a "wait to be seated" situation, so I waited with everyone else. And I waited, and waited, and waited. Finally an employee approached and seated one of the parties ahead of me, and eventually the second party ahead of me. And then... disappeared. Again I waited and waited some more until I finally caught the eye of a server who then yelled across the dining room, "You by yourself?" I nodded, and she pointed toward a seat in her area. After I sat down, she came by the table a moment later to hand me the menu and take my drink order. I said, "There's a sticky spot on the table right in front of me, can I get it wiped off?" "Sure" she said and walked away. When she returned a minute or two later, as she was walking by my table she tossed down a large wet wipe and continued on her way. So, I used it to wipe up the sticky spot. There were two groups of teenagers in the restaurant - a group of guys in the front of the restaurant and a group of girls in the back - and they were all making goo-goo eyes at each other, giggling and squealing and spilling their drinks. It made an interesting distraction from my wait and from the floor that was covered in sugar packets, paper straw wrappers, and general yuckiness. Aside from the teens, every other table was made up of people twiddling their thumbs and impatiently waiting for their food. I had my heart set on some biscuits and gravy but unfortunately discovered they don't have any on the menu at IHOP - really? When my server returned to bring my tea that didn't contain any ice (I prefer a lot of ice in my tea but decided it would be too much to ask for her to bring me some) she also took my order. I decided on a simple hamburger. She walked away again without grabbing the sticky wet wipe that was laying on my table. At this point the time was approximately 12:00 noon. I saw my server pop out of the kitchen 3 or 4 more times over the next 20 minutes, but only once did I notice her carrying any food. There were several tables around me that had been in the restaurant longer than me, and none of them had been served yet. At 12:20, with my lunch break from work almost completely exhausted, I decided I didn't have any more time to spare to wait for my lunch. I pulled a $20 from my wallet (my wife told me I was far far too generous), put it under the pepper shaker and walked out. Never to return again. read more

It took 30 minutes to get our drinks. The glasses were dirty with lipstick stains on them. The "lemonade" tasted exactly like water. And the incorrect drinks were brought out. We then had to wait another 30 minutes for food to come out. All the food was cold and we were not given any silverware. And the incorrect food was brought out too. The plates also had hair on them. A side was never brought out and instead of being taken off the check was just given a discount and brought out cold to be taken home. We were also overcharged for an incorrect order. No way to leave less than one star? Although our waitress did a wonderful job with what she was dealt, IHOP failed miserably. We were the second customers in the entire business and it took over 1.5 hours from our arrival to be served (and we were never served completely). There was ONE waitress and we never saw another person working. I felt sorry for her. After standing near the kitchen door with a second request for syrup, I did spy one other person working in the kitchen. Close the dining room or shut down delivery, but don't attempt to carry on with what appears to be two employees. The owner/manager has failed this location. read more

My pancake-fiend friend calls IHOP "Disneyland," so naturally he suggested we go here before heading to a wedding. We were seated pretty quickly, though after people who came in after us. The waitress was friendly and talked about her mini-home a lot throughout our time there! We shared a Spinach and Mushroom Omelette with Mexican Tres Leches Pancakes. The omelette was light and tasty, and the pancakes were fluffy and sweet. The dishes and silverware had stains on them, but the waitress apologized and replaced them for us. Overall, the restaurant is not that clean, but the pancakes are the bomb. We were full and happy leaving the place! read more

ZERO Stars - Awful everything! Table surface is worn and delaminated. Bench seats are broken down and uncomfortable. 60% of the tables were covered with dirty dishes, from previous guests. No dishes were pre-bussed from our meal. A/C was barely on and it was about 85° and humid inside. Even the servers admitted they were miserable. Food was just as awful: Pancakes doughy & gummy inside, bacon not fully cooked and tasted old, omelette was also doughy in the middle & meat was dried out. Hashbrowns were dry, crunchy & black like straw. No refills on drinks were given, not even water. There was no salt in our shaker at the table or most of the tables around us. What a disappointment. Use to be one of my favorite breakfasts places, but had not been there for 3 years. Plan to never go back. Manager needs fired! read more

First, we stood near the register for a full 5 minutes while the server at the register even acknowledged us. Another 5 minutes before being led to a table. Another 10 minute wait until she asked what we wanted to drink. Then another 15 minutes before we got to order our food and a full 25 minutes before the food got to is cold...we had to request condiment which took 10 minutes to get to us. Do you know how terrible cold eggs are, well I was hungry and have an appointment. Thanks to the server, who was overwhelmed working the dining room by herself, she did get us a discount and apologized so profusely! I do hope they get more help. read more

I leave this review for managers and corporate. The food tasted great but the service really did me and my veteran husband very wrong. We got there around 10:30 and we didn't eat till about 11:20. There was a whole section cleared and refilled by the time we got our food. when we got our food I didn't even get half my food and it was cold. I said something to the manager and I wasn't done talking and he just walked off and took my food back. when I got my pancakes the plate was dirty with blueberries. I have dined at this IHOP on many occasions and have watched it decline over that time culminating in tonight's debacle. We got to the restaurant and were seated fairly quick (highlight of the night). Brand new waitress took our drink order and got it order. 35 minutes later we are informed the omelets we ordered could not be made. Found out they had no cooks on staff. Now I know with Covid I can't expect miracles, but I do expect to find out sooner the 35 minute after I order they can't make what I ordered. We paid for our drinks, which the did not even offer to comp and left. I will never go to this IHOP ever again, and I recommend against anyone else doing so either. read more

Ordered food here online. Got there to pickup and the doors were locked at 8:36 pm on a Saturday. Walked to the back because that door was open. They were snaking a drain in the kitchen area. No signs on the door saying closed. They walked me to the front and they said they would cook me my order. 10 minutes later food came out. Order was slightly wrong, but close as I checked in the dark in my car and didn't get a good look. Got home and the pancakes looked like they were removed from the trash and stuffed in the container. One was hard as a rock which would not happen if put in a container hot, it would sweat and be soggy. Eggs were grey and the hashbrowns raw. Probably should have just left and got my money back, but I was hungry due to football all day and not having time to cook. This also is not the first time I have had problems with orders being correct or not even on time. Should have learned my lesson. Save your money and go somewhere else. This place is a crap hole The abandon Waffle House with broken windows just North would be a better place to eat than this place. The wait probably would be as long either. Even being closed down you might get better service. The under new management sign hidden behind the trees should say something as well. read more

An employee seemed put out that I would want a table, and seated me in a booth where there was a large glop if encrusted food on the table in front of me. Server showed up after about five minutes and I ordered my breakfast. When I asked the server to clean the table she was defensive--"we can't see everything"--if you can't see this, you could certainly feel it, there was a half assed job done here, and if that's the level of attention to necessary detail...... My food took a very long time to arrive and was cold, likely because of my complaining about sanitation. I kept my mouth shut to avoid the toxic server, as her attitude showed potential for having my meal "redone" in a horribly special way. Next time I'm seated by an unhappy employee at a dirty table, I'll simply leave. This restaurant has one of the lowest Yelp ratings I've ever seen. A good friend of mine gave me a gift card to I hop so I decided to go In today since I had not been In there for awhile, had a bad experience In there a few years back and had not went back, but decided to give them another chance, the guy out front was also the waiter and he was doing the best he could , but I noticed the waitress on the other side wondering around and not even offering to help him out. This was frustrating and I thought here we go again, I got my menu and this guy came and took my order, I must have waited 25 minutes waiting on my food, I also had ordered something to go, I ordered the salmon as It really looked good but when I finally got my food It had 2 small what looked like fish planks, i told him I did not order that, he said that was their salmon, I was not happy and told him that is not what It shows on the menu, the other food on my plate was cold, I don't know about the other IHOP out there off 199th st In Olathe but I will never step foot In the one on 153rd st and I wished I had looked at the other comments before going back, Its even worse then the first time a few years ago 2 stars and these are for the waiter who was doing his best to take care of customers, He was also the register guy, I did tip him well, he deserved It but wont be going back to this one ever again ! read more

Ordered our food, workers said they ran out of it, ordered something else and they also said they ran out of that too. Our waitress sucked, she looked like she had no clue what she was doing and didn't know anything about the menu, they ran out of Dr Pepper so they gave us Pepsi without telling us, took like 20 minutes to bring our drinks out. This location is struggling. We have been to this IHOP location two weekends in a row. The Visit last weekend, I heard two complaints from two different customers about the food being below what they are used to at an IHOP. We noticed they were out of regular maple syrup at the Noon hour on a Sunday. We went there Halloween night. There were maybe 6 cars in the parking lot and the seating was virtually empty. It took at least 20 minutes for the Waitress/Hostess to seat us. We ordered two waters and 2 coffees and it took four requests to get those items. We also asked for Sweetener but never received that item. I ordered scrambled eggs but they brought our fried which I didn't have them correct because I didn't want to wait even longer for the correction. This time they had the Maple Syrup. When we were waiting to pay our bill, the man in front of us was really upset about the dark rock music that was being played over the IHOP radio in the restaurant. It was Devil worship like music which I kind of expected on Halloween but it really shouldn't be played in a Family Restaurant. I like the fact they are open 24 hours again but I think they are understaffed or have new people who need further training. It could be the people who are working there have more than one job and they are just spent by the time they arrive to work at IHOP. The Store is showing signs of outside and inside wear. It might be time to spruce the place up a little with a deep cleaning and replacement of worn out tables and other furniture. We had the worst experience ever. Our waitress was slow in bringing our drinks. Our coffee was bitter, worse than gas station coffee. We informed the waitress who told us it was a fresh pot and didn't offer us fresh cups. We waited 20 minutes plus for our food & it never came. I know it's COVID, but on a weekday mid-morning there were not many customers at all. Noticed many dirty tables, and we waited forever for our food. My husband's first cup of coffee arrived with lipstick on it. We had to ask for refills. We had to ask for salt and pepper. Shrieking kids from every direction with parents and management making no attempt to even stop the child who jumped up and down on the booth for probably ten minutes. Restaurants might improve customer experience if they seated all the kids in one section so that they can listen and learn how obnoxious and disruptive undisciplined children can be. I love going to Ihop when I am craving pancakes. The only place I can blend the strawberry and boysenberry syrups on my cakes. Being said, this Ihop is getting a low rating. When it comes to Ihop, I am not a difficult orderer. I just find something on the menu and go with it. At most I might ask to leave one item off. However, at this establishment, they always, always get something wrong. Doesn't matter what time of day/night or having a different server every time. So if you don't mine having to wait for a corrected order then this is your place. I suppose they figure it's open 24/7 they got all day. I'm sorry, I don't. I'll go the distance to the one on 119th. Which I think nearly everyone else does too. I never see this one as packed as the 119th. read more

While I can't fault the taste and quality of the food, the service and speed is the worst I've seen at any restaurant anywhere. In two visits, we've spent a total of almost 3 hours waiting and waiting and waiting. The last visit (and it will be my last visit), after being seated we waited 10 minutes for a waiter to show up at the table and then 40 more minutes for the food to arrive. In that 40 minutes no one ever checked to see if we needed drink refills or anything else. Once the food did arrive, we were done in 10 minutes and still had to wait another 20 to get the check and then at least 5 minutes at the check out. Unless you have plenty of time, the patience of a saint and a really good coupon, I'd avoid this place. read more
