Staff was great! Food was good. Plenty of outside seating. Parking ok, bathroom ok. It's an IHOP, small and very attentive to our table. Cannoli pancakes were amazing!!

The Wonka Mimosa was AMAZING! Sam Hooked it up with the yummy cotton candy too!

I come out here every December for vacation and I always have to stop here. I pray our amazing waiter Sam is still here when I come back. he was absolutely AMAZING!!!! They always have fresh food and the service is always on point. My all time favorite IHOP!!!!

Just your regular ol' IHOP. And this one is a very tight space, if you're claustrophobic you may want to avoid.

We just had another fabulous dinner at Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant--our second time dining here…read moresince last fall, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. We arrived a little early for our 4:00 p.m. reservation, and the place was already packed. While we waited by the bar, a very nice waitress took our drink order--a lemon drop martini, beautifully crafted, well-balanced, and pleasantly strong. We were seated shortly after and, of course, ordered another. (Both times, I took several sips before remembering to take a photo!) Our waitress, Mikela, was truly lovely--sincere, sweet, and very courteous. She was attentive throughout the meal without ever being intrusive, which made the experience feel relaxed and effortless. At the end, I told her I wished I could give her 6 stars, but Yelp only allows 5. For dinner, we both ordered the seared rare ahi tuna steak. I had mine with garlic bread, while my husband chose mashed potatoes. I also added the $9.95 salad buffet, which is such a great deal--you definitely won't leave hungry. I especially love their buffet-style salad bar, which offers nearly every option one could want. Both of our ahi tuna steaks were fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Once again, I dug into my tuna before remembering to take a photo! We finished the meal with a cheesecake to share--another delicious ending to a wonderful dinner. We're already planning our next visit--there are still so many dishes and drinks we'd love to try.

Our waiter was kind, attentive, and very patient with us as we managed two hangry kids. One employee who was on break even helped me find a quiet spot to take a work call which I really appreciated. The kids' meal came out almost immediately. My son got the cheeseburger, and I was surprised by how big it was. It was adult sized, and he enjoyed and finished all of it. The mussels were the standout of the meal and the best I've personally had. They were incredibly fresh with no fishy smell and the broth was so flavorful. The bread that came with it was perfect for soaking up every last bit of the broth. The salmon was very fresh and cooked well. The shrimp scampi was also really good. The clam chowder was an 8 out of 10 for me. Not the best I've ever had but definitely one of the better ones. Pricing was mid range and felt fair for the quality of the food and the portions. Overall, we were really happy with the meal. Great service, fresh seafood, generous kids' portions, and a fun atmosphere. I'd definitely come back, especially for the mussels.

It was great to eat in such a historic place. It felt like you are sitting in history, which you are! But I mean like making your own little mark. The food was fine. We also had a really good wine. The service was great very attentive without being overbearing and we had a great view out the window. Definitely recommend this place just for the history alone.

Not too much flavor, but I loved the addition of the prosciutto to the beef. The lobster bisque was just ok as well, tasted too much of just cream. The star of the dinner was the beef tartare, surprisingly. It was extremely flavorful, with all sorts of spices mixed into the beef, notably capers and cornichons. Delicious and served with amazing homemade potato chips. Service was good and dress code was more relaxed than I had imagined, so that was nice as well. Bread pudding and Tavern Candy Bar are delightful dessert options as well.

Very fresh and honestly, very affordable for the aesthetic, quality, and taste. Plus the service is great. We stopped by Bar 'Cino for lunch on the recommendation of a neighbor just away from the madding tourists. We decided to sit outside in the shade on this hot day even though the interior was cooler and pleasant. We ordered drinks - beers, and an iced tea - while we perused the menu. Our server Alexandria was most personable and attentive and was prompt without rushing us. We decided to share a couple of dishes: the Antipasti had a very good selection of meats, cheese, hot olives and grilled garlic bread, and excellent house-made chips. This was followed by a a very thin crusted mushroom pizza which was well worth having: actually quite delicious. The check for the three of us came to $88 - well worth it. I would return the next time I was in the city.

From the moment you walk in, the place is spotless. The windows practically sparkle, the bathrooms are arguably the cleanest in Newport (a detail that never goes unnoticed), and the décor? Absolutely stunning. The craftsmanship alone, especially the woodwork is worth admiring before you even glance at the menu. Speaking of which, the food is consistently excellent, but what truly sets Jo's apart is the service. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, yet incredibly attentive. It feels less like dining out and more like being welcomed into someone's home, if that someone also happens to serve fantastic meals. The staff are genuinely warm, friendly, and engaging. That kind of culture starts from the top, so hats off to the management for creating such a positive environment. We had parked at a lot nearby for $20 a day and walked over for our event, but there is also a lot right in front of the Mooring - I believe it is paid parking but maybe it gets validated (?), not sure. Anyways, when we walked in, it gave me Titanic vibes because of the semi dim lighting, nautical theme, the water across building, and white, brown, and copper colors all around. We were seated at a table inside, part booth, part chairs. Since it was late, I did not want anything too heavy. We started with 4 shrimp which were big and juicy and came with cocktail sauce/horseradish. Next, we shared the calamari. I was happy with the flavor, crispiness, the almost 1:1 ratio of rings to tentacles, and the scattered pieces of fried banana peppers (my favorite!). The sauce it came with tasted homemade and I love that it was more than just tomatoes - there were pieces of herbs and garlic too. The entrees we ordered came soon after: the chicken ($25) and the whole roasted fish ($39). The chicken plate looked and tasted fantastic. The chicken was well seasoned with a solid crispy finish to the skin. The mashed potatoes were very smooth and tasty and the broccolini was lightly cooked in what seemed to be a buttery sauce. The sauce on the outside was spectacular and so was the chimichurri over the chicken. Everything came together really well. The baked fish on the other hand seemed to be the complete opposite where everything did taste fresh and healthy, but that meant compromising flavor. The fish (porgies) was about 8 inches long including head and tail. It was stuffed with some herbs, but it didn't come with any sauce or seasoning. The fingerling potatoes were also just roasted and the broccolini just steamed or roasted with no trace of salt or pepper at the bare minimum. The salad was arugula and I think it might've had thin shavings of jicama, but no dressing. I was disappointed with my meal because of the lack of flavor and creativity; I wished I had ordered the seafood pasta, but it felt too heavy for the time of day. For the ambiance and prestige, I felt the prices were okay. The service is great; we had a kind and attentive waiter.
