Our grandson is stuck on these new pancakes that have sprinkles on them with some sort of icing and more sprinkles. I don't care for them, I love their regular pancakes. We eat at I Hop a lot, I mean more than is normal. They just have a great menu and fair prices. This time we got it all to go, but we have eaten there several times. The place is always clean and it is cute. It is comfortable and the bathrooms are kept clean. The service is great. It does not matter if you are eating there or calling in for pick up, they never mess up your order and are very nice. We love all their breakfast items, their burgers and their salads. I would not get an expensive steak there, stick to what they do best, breakfast and lunch. Some are open 24 hours. I don't think this one is. Parking is free and easy. Have some pancakes. read more

It's been many years since I've been to this IHOP. It wasn't very good then and it isn't any better now. The pancakes are served tiny and cold. "Pancakes" is the main part of their name, and they boast that they are the "International House..." so they should be the best, but they fall very short. They aren't even the best pancakes in a one foot radius. In fact they fall dry, small, and cold when it comes to pancakes. My friend and I had pancake combos. My friend's crepes were served burnt. I had chicken fried steak, eggs and hasbrowns. They were fine. Service was not too good. The coffee cups are tiny and we quickly ran out but not able to get a refill. My firend and I wanted to split the bill 50/50 but they wouldn't allow it. I've never had a restaurant refuse to do that. Lame! When you pay about $60 for two breakfast combos, coffee and tip, it just doesn't make sense to go back for a mediocre at best breakfast. read more

There was only one server for too many tables and he honestly didn't check on me but the minute I got his attention he provided A+ service. We have eaten at this one more than once and it is clean, the service just great and the whole place is very comfortable. The servers are always nice. This time we had it delivered and it was, as always so good. They pack it all in such a way there is no way it can get ruined or food mixed with other food. The delivery is fast and I have never had an issue, not once. This time we had burgers, which were so good with bacon and cheese. My grandson had a grilled cheese sandwich with French fries and he loved it. I am the huge pancake lover in the family so I had their big breakfast that comes with the best, most fluffy and perfect pancakes along with hash browns and bacon, ham and sausage. We came here for the AYCE pancakes and before the Academy Museum opened. I went in with low expectations as most IHOPs near where I live are all a bit run down but not with this location! It felt clean, new, and inviting. The windows brought in a lot of natural light and the whole place felt so inviting. Our waiter was great. He took care of us but never pressured us to order or pay our tab or anything. He was friendly and joked around with us when I said I was going to stretch the $5 AYCE deal as far as I could. He even let me order more than 2 pancakes when it came to order a 2nd round (which I never got past). My food was fine. Pancakes are pancakes. They were definitely fresh off the griddle which was very much appreciated but they were still nothing special. my wife got the pesto eggs Benedict and said they were great. Considering the fact that she gobbled them up, I fully believe her. In all, IHOP surprised me on this trip. Good on ya. I drove all the way an Uber here for nothing and it shows it's open 24 hours that's false advertising. They owe me money.

Today came in to ask for my order form my mobile order to go when I ask the staff they told me my order just had came in, they grabbed my receipt and they look at for 10 doing nothing. This is usually my go to location and it's pretty much a hit or miss depending on time of day. This day was ok , I found first off they now charge $4.19 for a cup of room temperature coffee. I asked for a fresh pot so it would be hot. The food was just warm like it had been sitting, the butter did not even fully melt on the pancakes, but for the most part the service was good and the food was just ok., I will for sure be coming back, I'll come during breakfast time maybe that will make a difference since it was like 2pm in the day. read more

Everyone here has great customer service and great attitude. Kind, friendly and before the pandemic you can see their smile. Keep your expectations low and expect the bare minimum of effort from staff and you may have a decent experience here. A huge bong rip and some mushrooms or acid prior to arrival may prove beneficial as well. Ordered breakfast for three here on the Yelp app for takeout. When I got there it's busy as expected and absolutely no street parking or spots in the lot. After circling the block 4 times with no success, I thought I might call them and ask for help. Call them I did, help I did not receive. It's my problem, not theirs. The thing is, all they had to do was maybe take 30 seconds of their time and the problem would be solved. But nope. I ended up parking illegally in the neighborhood where parking patrol hands out tickets like candy, to dash in and get my order. Luckily I got back to my car before I received any penalty. Maybe ihop could designate one spot for pickup like every other establishment in LA does. Or maybe they could lift a finger when asked for help? This has become our new go to spot for lunch much to my surprise! We shop at Ralph's next door and have been for years before we decided to try this IHOP. Having sampled many things on the menu I have settled in on getting an omelette which is always really good and my companion likes the pot roast. Please keep in mind this is not "fine" dining but you can always find something on the menu you will like at a very reasonable price point, with their rewards program an added bonus. I also want to give a shout out to Yoli (Yolanda) who we always look forward to having as our server.
