We all know what we're getting at Chipotle right? I like their soft chicken tacos and pretty much get them every time and am so satisfied with the taste & portions. When it comes to chain spots, service is what makes a place shine and in the few times I've been here, it's been hit or miss. One time the staff misheard everything I said giving me hard shells instead of soft, and being very slow while chatting among themselves. However, this location is close to home for me and convenient. A big positive here is the parking lot they share with other businesses near the Original Farmer's Market. Be sure to get validation when driving here! Parking lots in LA are such a premium. Overall, this is an easy food option for me that I'm sure I'll roll through again in the future. read more

I walked into a restaurant full of trash everywhere, including some leftover sandwiches from another store on a table. A homeless man stood in front of the cashier lady, who was at the cashier right next to my bowl. He was begging for food, and all she did was give me a condescending shake of her head as if I'm some child needing to hear not to worry about it (the bowl was not behind glass, but out in the open, for me to take to my table.) This review is about the ambience and not the food on a Saturday at lunch time in the farmers market parking lot. Before I turned right around and left the line from eating there, I took some pics of the dining room. They need to make more of an effort to tidy up the eating area. It looked very dirty and unkept. Outside seating was very dirty and so was the bathroom. We ordered online and it said it was going to be ready in 10 minutes. I believe we waited 25 minutes until it was ready. It wasn't busy in there, so it wasn't clear why our order took a long time. I tried the brisket for the first time, it wasn't bad, but not the greatest. It's not worth $10.20. I used to complain that chipotle no longer gives the portions like they used to before, but I decided to stop by this location for the very first time and it greatly changed my mind. The chipotle was pretty clean, well AC'd, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's located in the shopping center near the grove with its own gated parking lot. I came around 11:30am on a Monday morning and it wasn't busy at all! The person that was working on the line was by himself and restocked all the ingredients before he helped me. The cook on the grill was in a very good mood singing/humming while cutting up the steak. Once I was helped, the worker was kind and straight to the point of making my order. When I saw the way he prepared my bowl I was in complete shock because he wasn't skimping on any ingredients at all! My bowl was very well filled and I am more than happy on how it came out! I don't eat at chipotle as frequently as before bc of the portion sizes becoming smaller and smaller, but this location changed my mind and I would love to come back to enjoy how I remembered chipotle was like before! I was very happy and sat at a table to enjoy my meal. They also validate parking at the cash register so don't forget to bring in your parking ticket! I've gone to this chipotle frequently. I can't ever remember having really good service here. This is a fast food restaurant and I don't really expect five star restaurant service. But there still needs to be a level of service that makes people want to come back to the location and that is satisfactory. This specific day that I went here there was one gentleman taking orders, creating the bowls and ringing customers out while there was about five other employees present. The gentleman in this photo is seen using his phone while there are five people on line waiting to be helped. He then starts making rice and is using one glove only. I got food poisoning at the Chipotle that used to be at the Beverly Center back in 2005 and I haven't been back until now. I only went because I had a gift card. I got a burrito bowl with chicken this time. My food poisoning order was beef and pork. This time, I did not get sick, and the bowl was decent. I appreciate the worker who knew what she was doing behind the counter. The cashier was new and had no idea. I took my food outside to eat because it felt kind of stuffy inside. The manager there (African American male) is super kind. A polite human being who you can tell cares about people and his job. I only go to this one when on this side of town because of him! His staff has been up and down but when he's there they are on point loving people. Today I tried the BRISKET for the first time and it is very very good. There is a slight sweet flavor and behind it is juicy smokiness flavor. It's really a big hit for me and I'll only be ordering that from now on as long as hey have it. Try this: PLAIN WHITE RICE (double), double BRISKET with light fajitas, sour cream, corn and medium salsa. You won't regret it! Again THE MANAGER of this store is a great person. My online order was 15 minutes late, so I had to pay $2.50 in parking for the staff's incompetence. I worked at Chipotle for 3 years, I know it doesn't take 15 minutes to make a quesadilla meal. There was literally no one in line but they seemed in no hurry to make the meal that should've been ready before I got there. I arrived 7 minutes after my pickup time. They forgot my chips and guacamole too, and when I mentioned that the girl working there snapped "it's in the bag". No it wasn't, does she think I'm blind? Went over to get a to-go order I asked for a kids quesadilla with steak. I said it very clearly. Then I asked if y'all could just pick out any drink with the meal and the gal up front said yes. Also ordered a side of guacamole. I wanted black beans to go with the meal, and asked about rice and beans, and the girl making my food said I had to pay extra. I was confused and said I thought it came with the meal. She basically said "well I already made the quesadilla, do you still want the kids meal". I said it was fine, then my quesadilla got folded in half and tossed in a bag. Kinda rude. They messed up and just stared at me like it was my fault. In and Out here... Assembly line crankin' A typical Chipotle here. Good with allergen's as well as notified me of parking validation. Store was clean, and the speed of this Chipotle was really fast. The only reason this missed the 5 stars mark, is that everyone seemed to be more interested in the speed and assembly line here vs being friendly and really appreciating the customer. I've been a loyal customer of chipotle for years but when I got to this chipotle by the grove I was completely disappointed. I asked for a chicken quesadilla. The girl that was doing my quesadilla didn't know how to do it at all. She tried placing the cheese and then continued to give me a small spoon of chicken. When I asked for a double scoop I was treated as if I couldn't afford it but once they proceeded to give me my second spoon of quesadilla they just gave me half a spoon so the quesadilla was almost empty. Once she proceeded to warm my quesadilla at the end she just warmed it for 5 seconds so it was still cold and soggy. 100% WOULD NOTTT recommend to visit this location. Horrible services. read more

I bring my little 10-yr old niece here one fine Saturday afternoon. She's been asking me to bring her here for weeks because she knows her mom won't. she's been begging me, she's sick of burgers n fries. How can i say "no" to her cute little face? I can't! But honestly, In true "Peter Griffin" style, this place really "grinds my gears". They wrap our burritos sideways--you know when all the meat is on one end and the rice and beans on the other with the rice in the middle and only the middle--I can understand getting ONE wrong, but TWO!? C'mon! OK fine, mess mine up, whatever, just don't mess with the Kid's FIRST Chipotle experience. You'd think that with the care factor involved that they had brought in disgruntled former Taco Bell employees. Anyway, needless to say, my Niece didn't enjoy her first Chipotle experience and has ceased to even acknowledge Chipotle's existence despite me pleading with her not to judge THAT meal.
