While the Service was endlessly apologetic and nice almost to a fault, the biscuits and gravy were ice cold, the eggs ordered "hard poached" were very soft with runny whites, the coffee bitterly strong, and the hash browns cooked on one side but otherwise completely raw. The Crepes were declared rubbery but at least the pancakes were above average. Considering the huge selection of farm fresh restaurants here in Amish country, I'd breakfast elsewhere. read more

Stopped out for breakfast this morning (Saturday around 9:30am). The waiting area was standing room only and my wife and I were told there would be a 30 minute wait. Our table was available in just 15 minutes. Once we were seated we were almost immediately greeted by the most fantastically friendly waitress (Kyra). She took our order and shortly after our order was brought out. Our breakfasts were perfect. Both Kyra and the manager stopped by to see how everything was. Sam, age 8, docked his earlier 5-star rating by 1-star because this would not have happened if the seats had been less bouncy, the fork less dull, and the tabletop an inch larger. From an adult perspective this iHop was as expected. I love Ihop, I have a lot of stomach problems so Ihop is one of the few places i visit regularly to go out and eat. This Ihop however did not take the cake. I ordered a completely plain waffle, but as soon as I bit into it, I could tell they just put pancake mix into a waffle iron. As I said before I go to Ihop all the time, it's a shame, their waffles are typically great. Regarding issues with my stomach, I was unable to eat the waffle due to it just being pancake mix. We had also ordered soup but when we opened the to go container it had a crack in it with styrofoam inside the soup. Overall it was disappointing. read more

My daughter called me from there yesterday to tell me how bad her server was. His introduction was "Y'all want drinks"? She said the service was horrible. I told her not to tip him , as she like myself tip well for good service. I told her when she goes to the cashier, and they ask her how the services was, to thank her for asking and to give her the tip that would be meant for her server. I have no idea how this place is still in business. The service is horrible which is hard to believe considering the restaurant is typically empty. The last time I visited, I had to send my drink back FOUR times because it was filled with floating black particles. I was starting to think I was on a hidden camera show. I have been to this restaurant 4 times now and every time, it's been awful. First we thought, it's a new restaurant, so we will give it a few more trys. The food itself is not so bad, a bit overpriced for breakfast. The pancakes are really good, the service however, is just the opposite. The last time I went, they gave my 6 year old son a kids menu, but charged us for an adult meal! They also messed up his order, so we sent it back and had to wait 15 more minutes for his order to come back out. My husband and I were finished eating before his even came back out. Husband and I stopped in on a Saturday morning. It wasn't too busy and a friendly woman seated us right away. The place seemed clean. We waited for over 15 minutes and no one came over to take our drink order. There were several servers (4 or 5) congregated around the hostess station and the cashier counter. They totally ignored us. We waited and no one ever came. When we walked out, no one even asked us if anything was wrong. Maybe they are used to people walking out? We went further East on Lincoln Highway and had a wonderful breakfast buffet at Miller's. read more

We arrived early, around 8 am. It wasn't busy at all. There was around 5 tables, including ours. It took 20 minutes just for service, and then we waited another 15 just for our drinks. Once we ordered we waited almost 30 minutes for our food. Once we got our checks, it got a little busy. We waited 45 minutes for the hostess to come back but she never did, so we had to tell the floor manager that we were ready to pay. The hostess returned then and we payed. We finally left 10 minutes before 10. We spent almost 2 hours waiting, because we didn't even eat our food due to it being cold. They didn't even get our orders right at first. It's despicable that we waited that long time just for crappy food and service. I will never return. I would not recommend this place to anybody, but if bad food and horrible service is your thing, this place is just for you! read more

I normally don't give reviews but let me tell you today got me miffed I'm only giving it two stars since a friend and I went today for brunch and our waitress not only forgot to bring us straws but when she brought our food out she completely forgot silverware...we sat for a good almost 20 mins without it while some of the food got cold, no napkins either so when I got ketchup on myself I had no good way to clean it (probably wouldn't have gotten the ketchup on me if I had silverware) read more

After repeated attempts, they still can't get it right! We went in at 6:45pm and there were only about 4 other tables of people in there. When we sat down, we told the waitress that we were in a hurry as we were going to a movie after we ate. We knew what we wanted, so ordered immediately (it was only myself, my husband and my son). I ordered the bananas foster brioche french toast, my husband ordered the pumpkin waffle sundae, and my son got the banana nuttella crepe. They each also got hot chocolate and I got a water. We got our drinks, and waited. After about 20 minutes, the waitress came out to tell us that they were out of crepe mix. (20 minutes!! Why didn't she tell us immediately?) She asked if he wanted anything else. We came there specifically because our son had wanted a crepe, so no, he didn't want anything else. We told her that at that point we didn't even want our food, just the bill for our drinks. It was too late to play games ordering anything else anyway, and we weren't going to eat in front of him. She actually left the table and literally came right back with our food! Which means that they waited until our food was done to tell us his wasn't even available! I told her that we had just told her we didn't want the food, that we were leaving. She took it away and sent the manager over. She was apologetic and kept offering other items, but that doesn't help when we're already going to run late because they messed up. She said she was making new crepe batter in the back - why would we even want to eat our food in front of our son, and then sit and watch him eat, even if we weren't running late? The whole thing was ridiculous!! What makes it all even worse is that this is at least the fourth or fifth time they haven't had crepe batter when we have gone there. We have even called their main "headquarters" ,etc, and been told they should "never" be out of batter. (Yeah, right). I guess it's time to quit trying altogether. read more

So I don't l know the waiters name because he never mentioned it to us, but my boyfriend and I went to this Ihop tonight and experienced the worst service I ever seen. We were sat at a table with no silverware to start. He brought our drinks out without mentioning that I had to mix my iced coffee myself resulting in a mouth full of vanilla syrup and then didn't say a word or hardly look at our table for the next 15 minutes or so. In the midst of bussing tables he came to us and took our order in a rush, us being the only table in his section. Thankfully I know one of the other waiters there, Daniel, and he was able to get us our silverware, creamer for my coffee, and checked on our food for us as it was taking a while for it to come out to us. ( our waiter still nowhere in sight) Another waitress brought us our food which she must have noticed sitting back there because when it was brought to us it was barely warm. Then, just before finishing our meal, our waiter comes to apologize using the excuse that he got a table with 13 people at it. I would have appreciated the apology if the table he was talking about hadn't showed up a half hour after us and waited an extra 15 minutes for the rest of their party. In the end, both myself and my boyfriend were very upset with our service tonight. I'm upset I didn't get our waiters name but I heard that he is supposed to be made manager in the near future and in my opinion that is a terrible decision. Checked out the IHOP in Lancaster fro breakfast with a group of 10 people. The place is tastefully decorated and that morning was heavy with wait staff. We placed our order and we were quickly given our beverages. After 30 minutes later, we had another friend join us. They placed their order and 10 minutes later was served. The waiter said he would check on our order and he returned with it. However our order came in pieces. Anything served on separate plates drifted in. I was almost done my omelet before the toast showed up. Others received hash browns and side ordered pancakes the way my toast came. My toast was cold and so were the side ordered hash browns. The waiter was telling us that IHOP at this location will be open for 24 hrs after the kinks on the 1st two shifts are worked out. The food was standard IHOP fare so service is the only way you can judge a chain. The service here needs some improvement. We left full and had an enjoyable time visiting with everyone in the group. I may go back at a later date since I love breakfast food. However I will give them some time to work on service. The wait staff were very friendly none the less. This IHOP has a good location just west of the outlets on Lincoln Hwy. There is a traffic light to help on on and off Lincoln HWY. read more

Low quality food for high prices. There are much cheaper places in Lancaster to get a really good breakfast. Paid over $3 for a small bowl of fruit with with about 6 pieces of fruit in it--that didn't taste good to add to it. They also have a knack for seating families in their small booths and two large adults in their large booths; makes a lot of sense. read more

Our experience at this particular restaurant was not that great . My uncle had to ask several times for lemon for his hot tea (which got cold eventually) and the beef in his omelette turned out to be spoiled (luckily, he only took one bite and did'nt get sick). Our waitress, Michelle, was nice enough though and my uncle did get a fresh new omelette (minus beef) and I got 10% off my bill. This was our first and last trip to this IHOP. read more

This is the worst IHOP you could ever have an experience at. Not only are they always understaffed but they don't serve you in a clean environment. Almost everytime I've got there have been flies in the eating area. The server Ashley sat us in the back of the restaurant and didn't come to get our drink orders for 20 minutes. Eventually she did and I told her we were ready to order our food already because we waited so long for her to come back. When she came with the trays of drinks, she served the couple that came in AFTER our family FIRST, and then walked over to us. the hot chocolates were spilled down the entire side of the couple making it nearly impossible for us to hold it without getting sticky. On top of our food taking forever to come out, she didn't check in with us till we were half way through out meals. I told myself that after this time I'm never coming back here again. From egg shells in your eggs to long waits, its not worth it. DONT COME HERE. read more

I don't usually do these, but how my visit went today, it was needed. My friend, my son and I came in around 12:30 for brunch, and our server (I don't know her name- she had black hair with blonde on the ends) didn't show much effort for customer service. She brought our drinks out- no straws to start. But we didn't care, we got over it. Once out food came out, she put the plates on the table and left. Never asked if we needed anything. Just walked away. She didn't even give us silverware or napkins. So for 15 minutes we waited for her to come back to ask for some. Every time she was around she was at another table and didn't even acknowledge us for awhile. So we ate all we could that was "finger food" appropriate until then. By the time we got our silverware our food was cold. I love IHOP so much but this really was a bummer of a visit. Food was amazing, even cold but the customer service wasn't worth more than 2 stars. read more

My first time at an IHOP and probably my last! My daughter had been wanting to try it, so I thought I would surprise her & take her. We ordered the crepes breakfast combo, and waited. After some time, the waitress came & told us they were out of crepes. So then we ordered stuffed French toast. After waiting again, the waitress came & told us they were out of the stuffed French toast, she could bring us the rest of our combo or we could order something else. By this time, we just told her to tell us what is available and we'd go with that. We noticed the table beside us, who had been there when we came, just sat there with drinks. After we finally got our food & were just about done, the other table asked us if the food was hot when we got it, and we told them so-so. They stood up & said they is ridiculous & left. After they left, a waitress came with food & asked us where the people were, we told them they left. So, it wasn't just bad service on our part - those poor people were sitting at their table when we got there, and we never saw them order, so they must have ordered before us, and for as long as we waited, we were almost done with our food before they even got theirs! Again, I don't think I will go back - too many other places along that strip with better service. read more

I have always loved IHOP and was happy to see it was coming to lancaster pa area. Unfortunately, this IHOP has been given multiple chances to improve and they fail miserably each time. It is always dirty, service is HORRIBLE but the food is usually great. I cannot fathom where they hire these people from as they cannot have previous working experience to work there. Waiting forever for the server to arrive at the table, no drink refills, received our food from another server who apologized that the food was "sitting up there awhile" so she brought it to us. No silverware given so the food got even colder before we got up and found someone to get us silverware. Table was sticky and crumbs left all over the seats. Besides the good IHOP name that is now being drug through the mud with this place, the only reason I believe they are still open is all the people who cannot get a seat in Texas roadhouse who wander over to eat there instead. Please for the love of God get new employees who know how to run a restaurant properly before this too ends up an empty building like everything else in this area. read more

2/2/2017; Arrived @ 11PM, 6 people seated in the vestibule. No greeter. I did not see 1 person seated or any servers. After 5 min the manager walked out & wanted to know how many people in each party. 1st group said 2 in their party, next had 4, then our party of 2. The mgr points to me & said we would have to wait 20 min, then changed it to 30 min. Said the other 6 wld be seated & eat ahead of us. The mgr said we would have to wait since she "WAS NOT GOING TO OVERWHELM HER COOK." I asked her to repeat what she said. In an extremely rude manner again stated she "WAS NOT GOING TO OVERWHELM HER COOK." Are you kidding me? There was not 1 person seated/eating in the place! You talk to potential customers in that manner? I replied we were not going to wait 30-min. The mgr gave the same statement about not overwhelming her cook! It was made very clear there was no desire to have our business. No apology for a staff shortage, a kitchen accident, whatever, just that "her" cook would be overwhelmed. The body language, the tone of voice, the lack of apology, was absurd. I actually thought we were being secretly videoed for a show as a joke. NO, this was for real! A 24-hour restaurant unable to handle more than 2 people at a time, a fast food cook who gets overwhelmed, & a snarly mgr. NEVER will we return to any iHOP. Our business goes to the Waffle House (with the Always Open Sign) where at 11:20 pm we ate a delicious meal served by extraordinary wait staff who received a large tip! read more
