My brother and I received a coupon in the mail and happened to be off work so why not? This location is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. They have some parking right at the front, otherwise not too far. The front door is located facing imperial hwy and they have some outdoor benches to wait to be seated or indoor seats. They do get very busy on the weekends and you can see people standing outside waiting. Since we came during the week, we were sat pretty quick. They have a large menu with plenty of options. We decided to both get the T-bone and eggs breakfast dish. This included pancakes, steak, hash browns and eggs. I chose my eggs to be poached and my brother scrambled. I asked for my steak medium rare but I must note not to expect it to be great as it's not their forte. They offered A1 sauce for the steak which we declined. The portion was huge and I had food for later. The steak was ok but not needed. My poached eggs were good, cooked perfectly and I enjoyed them. I'm not usually too into hash browns and these were good. You can tell they make them fresh. My favourite part were the pancakes! They were so fluffy! I definitely want to come back just for the pancakes. I don't add anything to them just the butter they came with. Breakfast also included black coffee. Service was good from the moment they received us and sat us down until we got the check and boxes to pack our leftovers. Overall food was good and they have options for everyone. February 2, 2025 was in the mood for something sweet. Decided to stop by IHOP in La Habra is in the same shopping center as the regal theater and the sprouts There was a 15 minute wait, which wasn't a problem. It was going on 11 o'clock and they were busy. We were seated. Our server was very helpful now everything's done by handheld so not a lot of conversation but still excellent customer service. No one writes down the order anymore. It's just typed in a handheld device, but we are in 2025. Order from the 55+ menu. The food was hot and delicious. The eggs could've been a little bit hot but that's OK. The food was very good. It was just the right amount. Arrived at 5 PM, no waiting. Lupe greeted us and directed us to a booth. Typical IHOP establishment interior. We ordered coffee, ice-tea,and and fresh orange juice. Lupe returned with our drinks and asked if we were ready to order. Placed an order for a regular omelet, bacon and a waffle. Then added a 55+ order for 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast. The evening rush began. Our order was quickly plated and delivered to our table. Multiple waiters checked on us. Lupe swung by and asked if we were satisfied, we said yes. My Family and I had a terrible experience at this location. We were seated at a dirty table covered in dishes from the previous guests. Even after seating two other parties at clean tables and serving them coffee, our table was still a mess. When we brought this to the hostess's attention, she simply asked, 'Who sat you there?' My response: 'You did.' We were so fed up with the lack of accountability that we left and went to the La Mirada location; The service there was immaculate--truly night and day. I should've updated my review years ago. The quality of the eggs improved and the overall quality is good. This is one of our go-to places when I'm with my kids, especially when I'm alone with them. This is one of the few restaurants that don't mind loud kids and is great for families. On the weekends, it's a staple for local families to either start their day or just get together. Parking has always been a plus here and the location is centrally located. Their seasonal offerings are usually good, but I stick with the breakfast combo and my kids get the chicken strips and Jr cupcake combo. My wife likes the egg white omelette with veggies and the coffee is a must with the vanilla creamer. Don't expect fine dining, but do expect happy and full kids. Took our grandkids to this location, after waiting an extended period of time for our order, the food was OK. I ordered a patty melt, that was on a lunch specials board by the front door, Auqi L. Who I believe to be our waiter, told me it was not on the menu, but he would do it for me anyway .??? The grandkids got what was called strawberry lemonade, we were charged $3.99 a cup there was 4 cups. COMPLETE water with lemon essence. We asked the server for a new one, we were again charged 3.99!! This morning we came to have breakfast. One of the waters attempted to bring 4 coffee mugs and the coffee carafe. He dropped the full carafe on my aunts foot. No apology was given. My aunt was in so much pain. We had to ask for ice and ask to speak to the manager. Manager did not apologize either. He just looked us and said ok. We will be driving to the ER to make sure her ties were not broken. I have never ever been to an establishment where ther was nothing done to acknowledge the situation. Terrible staff. As far as national chains known for breakfast goes, IHOP is decent. It's way better than Denny's. In fact, I may like it more than Black Bear Diner. However, this review is strictly for their take out service during the Pandemic. IHOP offers family feasts for 25 bucks. We have ordered the Pancake creation feast with bacon twice now. You get 8 pancakes, your choice of 2 toppings, bacon or sausage, scrambled eggs, and hash browns. It easily serves a family of four. You can't beat this price. Pro-tip, ask them to throw in some sausage too. As far as this particular location goes, service here has always been friendly. I ordered online and it quoted me 15 min, which I thought was too fast, so I waited 20. When I arrived I was greeted at the pick up door on the side and the guy knew who I was. Look, I may have been the only order, but it made me feel special anyways. If you're looking for a quick and easy breakfast solution for a family of four, this is a no brainer. The manager Pedro is amazing!!! We had a DoorDash order that was picked up by a driver 40mins late. I know door dash takes a while but I had called just to see if the food is made right when ordered or when a driver is selected to pick up the order. Pedro let me know that it is made when it's placed so it was probably made by 10:15. I had gotten notification that a driver was selected at 10:40 so I wouldn't get my food till about 11-11:10. He was sweet enough to say that he would prepare a whole new order and deliver it himself. Just because he was so wonderful to suggest that i told him it was okay and he didn't need to. I think as far as food goes (other than pancakes), I'd prefer Denny's (hello, Dirty Bird), but ihop still gets the job done with their omelette selections and various dishes. This particular day, I chose the southern omelette (I believe is what it's called). What you receive is a massive load of eggs with a topping of avocado and salsa. Came here on a Thursday morning and I'm not sure what happened but the service was very slow. We got seated right away however it took a while to get our drink order and we waited for about 40 minutes for our food. The restaurant had a decent amount of guests inside however it was not super busy or chaotic so we didn't understand the reason for the food delay. We brought our little toddler who was very patient and in a good mood the whole time but it really was a long time to wait for our food. Like I said I'm not sure what happened we've come here many times in the past and the service has been fairly quick. Good news is the food tasted great and was well cooked. I got the Minion pancakes and they were delicious. Definitely recommend if you love banana. We'll be back but I hope they figure out how to improve those ticket times. read more

After a night out, we needed a restaurant that was open late. We decided to stop at IHOP for dinner. They are located in a large plaza with Sprouts, Regal Cinema, Starbucks and Pick up Stix. I haven't been to IHOP for many years. The breakfast menu was what I use to come here for. When we arrived, the restaurant was fairly empty. The server took us to our table right away. The best part about this place is that you can have breakfast anytime of day. It's my favorite meal so I'd have breakfast at dinner time. The menu looks new and improved with so many items to choose from. They usually have a seasonal pancakes option. Currently it's the Grinch green pancakes. These are peppermint flavored. Our group ordered the soup of the day all around. On Saturday, its Minestrone or Loaded Baked Potato with bacon. We went with Loaded Baked Potato which was flavorful and creamy. The crumbled bacon made it even better! Some dinner items we had were the Country Fried Steak and the Sirloin steak tips. The Country Fried Steak was the better choice. It was crispy on the outside and tender meat on the inside. The gravy was tasty and just right. I'd skip the Sirloin steak! Very tough to chew and had a strange marinade. If you like French crepes then their version of the strawberries and cream crepes were really good. Not quite authentic but still delicious. Overall, I'd come back for a late night meal again. The service was good and attentive. We never had to ask for a drink refill throughout our meal. She also checked on us numerous times. So my friend and I wanted George's on Sunday but didn't realize it was closed til we got there and we were wayyyy too late to realize that :-/ So we decided to go to IHOP instead. They open early and they also had a long line at 9am (yep!). It took 15 minutes which wasn't that bad but it looked like it was going to take much longer. Seasonal favorite time: Caramel pancakes. It also included a combo, in which you got pork links, eggs, and a hash brown. Caramel pancakes- actually not oversweet. It was a mess but I loved eating it. They had too much whipped cream on top and the two pancakes were mostly combined when I got to them, but I forgot how much I miss pancakes and waffles. I don't know how to describe eggs and hash browns lol. They were decent and the hash browns needed ketchup. I have said before that I'm not a gushing 5-star review kind of guy. Good service is 3 or 4 stars. Same with good food. I mean, you passed with a C or a B. A+ service and food is rare. I hadn't been out to breakfast in mor than 18 months, so I was very pleased to learn that iHop was open for inside service. I was seated almost immediately, no one looked at me twice for not wearing a mask. Many of the other diners had them but many did not. I ordered the French toast special with a side of wheat toast. It was fast and tasty. The eggs were just slightly under cooked, but that was probably just personal preference. My only actual complaint about the food was that I ordered wheat toast, not rye. Strangely enough, my only real complaint was the family sitting next to me. Yeah, kid, I get it that you are an independent college-age woman, and you are going to do you. But using that kind of language in public doesn't make you sound grown-up, it makes you sound foolish. And you certainly shouldn't be using it in front of your father; he didn't use it!
