2nd time visiting this location , but 1st time eating inside for buffet. Although you can request a pizza to your liking , it can ruin your experience having to wait because all the pizza that was out included pepperoni & ham, even the veggie had pepperoni. The baked chicken was way too salty! Mojo's tasted a day old! Showed up before 1pm for their bunch of lunch deal. Very underwhelming. No flavor and cold food. Very sad. Ever since Shakey's in Pico Rivera burned down, we've been visiting different locations and they all suck! Pico was and still is the best Shakeys location. I can't wait for them to remodel. All games were closed. Came here over a year ago and games were closed then also, appears that it's now closed indefinitely. This is a classic place. Has the old nostalgia feeling, but is up to date. As soon as you walk in, you'll be greeted by this older Asian super friendly lady, very welcoming. The food was fresh with good variety. They'll make your favorite pizzas upon request. This location is my favorite, can't say that for other lunch o bunch! read more

Food is good good everything tasted fresh no issues whatsoever. I also got here about 20 mins after they opened. I like the fact that you can get some pizza and salad, but they also offer a chicken spaghetti and the famous Mojos. I have never had an issue when I come to a Buffay like this and do enjoy them from time to time. Sometimes I wish the buffet would be until 3 PM, but that's not a dealbreaker. read more

August 24, 2023 I stopped in here for a quick bite to eat. I missed out on the lunch buffet. It was 4pm. Too late. I ordered a small cheese pizza which is my favorite anyway. Let's keep Shakey's around. It's an American institution. Eat here. It's one of the last few real pizza parlor restaurants still around. Forget those quickie pizza places like dominoes and little Caesars etc. Avoid those places. STOP going there. Don't go to Blaze Pizza or Mod Pizza and all those damn flavor of the day trendy places. Keep the American institution of Shakey's alive. Shakey's has been around longer than you have and we all need to keep it that way. I live in the Upland area and I always go to the Shakey's there. Let's support American institution restaurants. Let's keep the traditional Shakey's pizza parlor alive and well. Just like Shakey's, Sears was a great retail store and an American institution. I usually order over the phone and pick up to go--it's always fresh made to order. The service is friendly. I like this location a lot. I am always critical of attention to details and Shakey's doesn't disappoint. Thank you for that. We usually get a large pan pizza, 18 piece wings, and large mojo potatoes along with a garden salad. Their ranch dressing is good. All food is yum. A good deal. This Shakey's is a clean and is great for family to come sit and dine too. read more

This place is stellar for hosting birthdays and team outings! Parents dine while kids play- sounds like my kind of venue! Leo, owner and manager, really went out if his way to accommodate our team. He was friendly, professional, and has a great team working for him. Word around the block is that they still make their mojos by hand at this location. Shakeys food is pretty self-explanatory but the all-you-can-eat option was a great deal. You pretty much have access to everything they make for a fraction of the cost. The super star of the day goes to one of their staff (I didn't catch her name). She was constantly cleaning the buffet area and other tables. Buffets can get pretty gross when people spill the food but not at this location, everything was in its place and cleaned well. I'm glad our team will be coming more often this season. read more

Shakeys is always amazing. I can honestly say I grew up with the occasional trip to shakeys and it has never been disappointing. Todays trip for the bunch a lunch was outstanding. This location has plenty of parking and and plenty of seating. The cashier was friendly and informative. He even offered to make any pizza we requested and add it to the buffet. The pizza, saucy and a bit crispy just like it always has been. There was a great variety of pizzas along with fried chicken, mojos (yum), spaghetti, mashed potato's, pastas, baked chicken and salad. Bunch of Lunch Baby!!! If you're hungry, this is the place to go. Salad bar was okay and everything was fresh. No Souplantation here but just a very basic salad bar with the essentials but who comes here for salad. Next are the pizzas which you get an assortment that changes as you sit and stuff your face-thin crust, thick crust, pepperoni, sausage, hawaiian, jalapeno etc. Pizza is actually good too as they use a sweeter pizza sauce than other chains and are generous with the toppings. Then there's those mojos and fried chicken, baked chicken and all those carbs like mashed potatoes and gravy, mac & cheese, corn, pasta etc. Fried chicken is remarkably good along with the baked chicken. The mojos are mojos. Bring your appetite. I'll probably come again if I'm starving. read more

So we ordered a PCM lunch, pizza, chicken, and mojos. And two drinks.... $35. Are you kidding me. The young lady working the counter/register was very friendly. (No name tag) We sat down in the empty dining area and ate. The food was meh. Think next time Sam's or Costco would be better. Completely disappointed! I come all the way from Whittier because they were much better than the Shakey's in Whittier. But tonight was horrible. First of all, they put the toppings on my pizza wrong. Secondly the Mojo were absolutely disgusting. Extremely greasy, biting into them felt like if I was eating a stick of lard! And don't let me start about how small they were. It's like they gave us the bottom of the bag of potato chips. They were literally CRUNCHY! Since when are Shakey's mojos crunchy?! And because I do drive so far I wasn't able to see it until I got home and by that time they were already closed. I paid almost $45 for cold pizza and greasy potato chips! read more

I was so disappointed. We went to the Shakey's on Whittier in the City of La Habra. The Restaurant is immaculate. The service is friendly. We had the Buffett. The Mojo's were discusting. They were over fried, you can taste the grease, they were flat like a potato chip and had no seasoning. The chicken was small and so crispy but too greasy. We paid over $36.00 dollars for the both of us, they keep the pasta separate and the pasta is soaking in water (so the sauce is not absorbing the pasta) the corn soaks in water with no flavor or butter, the pizza is dry (under direct lights) and the lettuce is wilted. The dressings are fresh and delicious. The Mojo's are the trade mark of Shakey's nothing like having a beer and hand made Mojo's. Shakey's Organization is no longer allowing staff to prepare the Mojo's onsite, they are now frozen and fried and are disgusting. I will no longer be dining here. read more
