Driving through town and wanted to stop for a quick meal and made a great choice with this…read morelocation! Absolutely the friendliest order taker I've ever met at a fast food restaurant. She had us both smiling! She talked me into trying the Smokehouse BBQ Brisket sandwich. We wanted cherry turnovers and they were out but willing to bake us fresh ones. We asked them to go ahead and we'd have the rest of our order and wait on the turnovers. The rest of the order came out quickly and was delivered to our table. The fries were hot and fresh, the sandwiches were hot and appealingly made. My Smokehouse Brisket was amazing! REAL sliced brisket, not the typical meat. It was great with good smoke flavoring and a sauce that set off a lot of great flavors. It was just right and I didn't want to put any of my favorite sauces on it. The turnovers came out as promised and were something to truly slowly savor (as you had to as they were very hot). The restrooms were exceptionally clean, well stocked and pleasant smell. I'll have to remember this location for future trips.

I am a bit shocked tonight to write this post... But this was the worst experience I have had at this Cracker Barrel or any Cracker Barrel in a long time maybe ever. The food was not on, and the service was not on. Sometimes you experience a little blip in one or the other area, but rarely both and not usually spectacularly poor in both ways. Blah and bland would be great terms to use. Just downright blah. And disappointing. To top it off, I purchased meals using my app or at least my rewards information. It appears that none of that information has been loaded onto my app, despite having purchased the meals to the tune of 800+ dollars 4+ days ago. When I inquired as a store, what could be done pretty much there were shoulder shrugs. I could've asked for a manager and maybe I should have just didn't have it in me to fiddle with it tonight. The follow up - aka, the next day... I picked up 47 take away meals and was pleased with the service and the food, etc. I am grateful they were there and open to help take care of us for dinner on Thanksgiving day. No to go silverware was provided - though I did ask.

But if you liked grind chicken strips - it's really good and the fresh squeezed lemonade is also awesome! We enjoy their fried and Cole slaw too - as well as the Texas Toast. The last time I was there - a young man was working the cash register and taking orders. He was polite and friendly and did an excellent job. A teenage student and his friend entered the line and snickered and laughed and poked fun at the cashier - seemingly acting as if they were better than the cashier and as if the "working class" guy at the register was deserving of being made fun of. I was offended at the actions of the customer in front of me - but I was extremely impressed by the cashier who kept his composure and was polite in the face of the sarcastic customer who was inappropriate. I admired both the professionalism and the obvious management training and preparation that had been done to help teach the cashier how to respond and move on without allowing himself to be tripped up by such poor customer behaviors. Way to go to the excellent customer service and great food!

Once cooled off they were still so crispy and crunchy and the least bit greasy. They gave us plenty of sauce and ketchup too. Without saying, everything was a hit!
