    Nasty $20 omelette

5/22/25 came in here today and it was absolutely the nastiest breakfast I've eat in a long time. I would recommend going to McDonald's over this place. I would give it zero stars if I could. coffee tasted like it was from yesteryear. do not waste your money.

Here on Christmas Day 2024. 2:15 ordered the breakfast burrito back because it was falling apart and it didn't look anything like the pic on the menu the waiter got all puffy about she remade it brought it back it was packed with potatoes and eggs and cheese hardly any meat.

    Hot chocolate

ihop is always a good place for breakfast. Their omlet varieties are best. Hash browns are pretty good. I wouldn't recend hot chocolate. Overall I love having breakfast here and their omletts and hash browns are a must try.

A whole carafe of coffee to myself!

Swarms of pink katydids made of ham, flutter across the lush turnip greens landscape. Surrounding the cornbread island, is a sea. In that sea, pink dolphins made of ham frolic, while schools of black-eyed peas swim in flowing unison. The devils of mayhem; diced onions and sliced jalapenos patiently wait and watch over the serene harmony, prepared to bring turmoil at the first opportunity. That was a satirical description of a meal called the "Soul Bowl." It can be found on Eunice's menu under Local Favorites. Bless her heart for coming up with this concoction! If you know what I mean. A filling bowl of food. My wife regretted it. Check the picture. Meanwhile back at the ranch....I played it safe, with an order of chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes, all covered with cream gravy. For my side I had a lightly seasoned cucumber salad. This was a very good meal. The name Eunice's Country Cookin' describes the diner well. A menu of American diner food staples, daily specials and those delicious home-made pies. Inside, tables and uncomfortable metal chairs are scattered across the large open dining area. Seat yourself. Someone will be with you quickly. Great friendly service. Well established and loved; the restaurant and most of its customers have been around for a long time.

Recognition from the Democrat Gazette 2024, for best in the "River Valley," is proudly on display at the front counter. I cannot argue with that. But what I will say is their "Cuban Sandwich" needs help. Before I wander down the rabbit hole with a descriptive analysis of the sandwich, let me get the salad out of the way. My wife ordered the small Cobb Salad. Decent, fresh, no complaints. I have eaten a few Cuban sandwiches. One of my favorites. A bait that will lure me into any deli. There are minimum requirements. A Cuban must have mustard! A liberal dousing of YELLOW mustard. An essential condiment. Without it, it is nothing more than a bland pork sandwich. No bright yellow stain to be found between the ciabatta. It did have a little deli mustard. Not a suitable substitute. At the counter, the very nice young lady gave me a couple of packets of plain yellow mustard. Needs more, but this is a start. Between the bread, lots of meat; ham, pulled roast pork, and pickles. The roast pork was a little dry. First bite; something does not taste quite right. An unmistakable old grease flavor on the ciabatta. My best guess as to the cause; the panini press needs a good cleaning. It is a nice, attractive deli, with great service. Order something other than a Cuban Sandwich and something that is not pressed.
