Mozza Sticks
Dawson S.

Food was on par for a typical iHop meal. The waiters provided quick, friendly, and easy service. My salad was well prepared and delicious, pancakes and mozzarella sticks were also good but you can tell that the mozzarella sticks in particular were rushed as most of the sauce was spilled onto the sticks themselves. The actual environment was quite distracting with lots of kitchen noise and several sounds of plates colliding or being moved in the back. Outside of that the food itself was good, but do not expect this to be a more quiet experience if that is what you enjoy.

I will not be eating at IHOP ever again. Went for dinner with my Older brother , sister-in-law and my son. When finished I paid my bill by phone and my sister-in-law had not even paid hers . The waitress came by I told her I had paid my bill by phone, ok then a she comes back and said my bill had not been paid but my sister-in-law's had . I looked at my bank account my bill I paid was pending $38.86 which my bill was actually $38.64 . So I showed the waitress she says will doesn't showed paid. I ask her to get the manager for me please. He comes to the table and pints to my receipt and says my hasn't been paid , but my sister-in-law's had . I said no my account shows it's been paid . He didn't want to hear it he was very rude , my son almost came up from the booth . I told him I'll call the police cause I didn't want to walk out with anyone thinking I didn't pay. The police came we explained everything to them They weren't a lot of help . We told them if I go and pay my bill again that's twice . Plus my sister would be paying it as well cause hers was paid already. So we go up she gives the girl her bill and gues what ? She paid my bill again.. the waitress has told us one lady had gotten charged twice she had to call her bank . My sister-in-law was very upset The manager all he could say is if you have to charges call your bank have one removed . So apparently there is a clinch in their system and he doesn't want to get It fixed . So the police officers understood what we were talking about. The manager even pulled out $5 to give my sister-in-law for the difference she had to pay . For pity sakes IHOP get you system fixed. He was rude and unprofessional. So I'm done with IHOP.

While there are many places to choose for breakfast that I'm going to try on my travels, places like this are a staple. Yes, if one watches the commercials all one sees is sugar but it doesn't have to be the case. Bring 10 bucks and whatever you want to tip and you can get the omelette, chicken and waffles, breakfast steak...well just say some more options than the mom and pops. One will pay a few bucks more but it is worth having the choice. Quiet after the main rush and the staff was immediately attentive. Nothing special environment wise but it was clean and as expected. I went the healthier option with egg whites and if this is you, cool, but of course be ready with the hot sauce. I wanted the hollandaise on top but going to do some sit down work and who needs the delicious calories? Fast in and out, belly full, no complaints.

The food was overcooked and service was whack. Our server had the personality of Squidward Tentacles. I really wish I had read the reviews first but my honey was craving his cupcake pancakes. We won't be going there again.

My coffee cop had lipstick on it. The chicken in the omelette was over cooked. We had to ask for straws. The pancakes came after I was finished and I am still waiting for the hot syrup. It appears the servers are more interested in discussing job opportunities elsewhere than concentrating on customers.

This IHOP offers a fairly standard IHOP experience. It's not the well oiled machine that the one in Buckhead is, say, but it gets a solid C.

Simply said, this place sucks. Marginal food at a premium price. Not a good place to eat.

We were seated right away, but almost every table in the place was packed. Our server greeted us pretty quickly and got our beverage order started. My husband stuck with coffee and I got one of the energizer beverages the morning sunrise that includes elderflower tonic, orange juice, and period strawberry. It was delicious. I chose to order the breakfast burrito with fruit as my side. The fruit was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. There were a lot of grapes and it would've been nice to have some more of the melon but overall it was delicious. Breakfast burrito was nice and tasty. I would've liked a little bit more meat in it but again it was still delicious. My husband crafted his own breakfast and got bacon with some eggs and the French toast. He said everything was delicious.

No one checked in, not even for water. One waitress even looked directly at us, said "hey," then turned to help the table next to us without actually checking if we needed anything. Eventually, another staff member noticed we'd been sitting there a long time with no service and stepped in to help. She figured out there had been some sort of miscommunication--apparently we were sat, but no one was told we were sat. We ordered drinks, but only 3 out of 4 came out. I waited another 10 minutes for mine, and my aunt had to go check on it. My mom also ordered an extra shot of espresso for her drink, which somehow took longer to arrive than our food. When the food came out, my mom's plate was missing entirely. We were told it had been dropped and was being remade. Then my sister found a hair inside her burrito. I ordered the signature French toast and was given the basic French toast instead, which I pointed out immediately. To be fair, once everything finally got sorted, multiple staff members were trying to help, and the food itself, aside from the issues, was genuinely good. It's just incredibly unfortunate how much went wrong leading up to it. Between the long wait, missing items, wrong items, and a hair in the food, the whole experience just... sucked. I rarely leave reviews like this, but this visit was extremely disappointing. I hope it was just an off day, because the actual food has potential--everything else just needs serious improvement.

Our server was great but harried as she had to wait tables on both sides of the restaurant. We started with the trout dip, which was delicious. There was a long delay between appetizer and entrees, but again, busy! I had the snapper Ponchatrain, which was honestly one of the best fish preparations I've ever had! Blackened snapper on a bed of delicious grits with a topping of crab and an amazing sauce made for a spectacularly yummy dish. My husband had a disappointing experience with the country fried steak. The steak was overdone and the breading didn't stick to the steak. Just not at all satisfying. We will be back but will choose our entrees more carefully next time. The food is top notch, but pay careful attention to what you order and you'll be happy with your meal!

We made reservations online and I would highly recommend you do especially for the weekend nights. Their bar area is first come first serve, but we've definitely been there when it is completely full so I wouldn't count on it as a backup plan. It is all street parking in this area and on a busy night. It can be hard to find parking unless you go down a block or two. We started with the okra, french fries and they were delicious! They come with a Sriracha aïoli which gives a little bit of heat, but it balances nicely with these perfectly fried okra fries. It also feels like there's cheese inside of the fried so you get kind of those gooey us along with the okra. Important to note no sliminess! My husband got the steak frites. The steak was definitely thinner than we recall having in the past, but it was perfectly cooked and the seasoning was great. The grits were also really delicious as well, although he wished they would've been just a little bit creamier. I opted for the southern fried steak, which comes on a bed of horseradish mashed potatoes. There were a ton of mashed potatoes on that plate and honestly kind of overwhelmed the steak. But the steak was really tender. I love the breading, although there were certain portions where the breading felt, it was almost too much as it was super crunchy. My husband got the KBC old-fashioned. He always asks for a little bit of cherry juice in his cocktail and the first round, It definitely was more cherry juice than it was liquor. The second one he asked him to just bring the cherry juice in a small container so he could control it and it was much better. I had their peach cocktail and it was absolutely delicious. Very easy to drink, but full of flavor with peach and ginger.

The service here is a little weird and jarring at first. I hadn't gone more than 10 feet through…read morethe door when I was asked "What'll you have to drink?" You just have to know the procedure, but it wasn't only me, a Northerner whose brain hadn't yet fully recalibrated for the local accent. Locals were confused too. Procedure is this: tell them your drink preference (I had water), pick up a tray, put it on the counter, pick out a main, three sides, a dessert, slide it down to the register, pay, and take it to your table. At that point do you begin eating? No! Remove your items from the tray and they come by and pick it up. Now begin! You may be thinking "Soup Nazi" from Seinfeld but I assure you it didn't feel that way. Just the quirky way they run the place. The waitress did warm up after I was there a while, came over to ask where I was from, etc. And to try to convince me to come back for breakfast! This is cafeteria style, with everything prepared ahead of time and kept warm on steam trays. So how do they keep that fried chicken so crunchy and delicious? Perhaps the best I've ever had, the batter so crunchy you could probably hear me eating from another room, assertively peppery, the large leg and thigh pieces perfectly cooked and juicy. (White meat also available.) My sides were lima beans, turnip greens, and yams. The highlight was the yams: super sweet but not in a bad way, balanced by good seasonings. The beans were fine, a bit salty. The only disappointment were the turnip greens, too finely chopped and overcooked. The portion sizes were decent. Also included is corn bread. Two choices: baked or fried. Never heard of fried so I tried that. Interesting but a little chewy and not so much corn flavor; next time I'd get the baked. Finishing this rather large lunch was a challenge for me but I managed, while taking in the local ambience. I saved the dessert for later. Dessert? Yes. I was also asked on ordering what I wanted for dessert. The only one that appealed was the red velvet cake (the others were a cobbler and bread pudding) so I got that. I assumed it was included but when I paid I saw it was not. $4; no big deal. It didn't look that good, a thin 1 inch slice tightly shrink wrapped on a paper plate. Looks were deceiving. The first time I actually liked red velvet cake, a light crumbly texture and cream cheese frosting that tasted of more than sugar. With the amount of frosting this tiny slice was quite filling and I'm glad it wasn't larger. All this for a little over $21. I think this was including tip but I'm not positive. Either way, great deal!

Just go, don't even question it, go. Best little diner, great food, amazing service, and fast!read more
