Bread pudding

The most authentic Southern Hospitality I have ever experienced. What a great experience! It is quiet and cozy. They check on you to make sure that you are enjoying your meal. Such a great vibe! The food, 10 out of 10! Fried chicken is juicy and the seasoning is on point! First time I try chicken dressing, absolutely delicious! Sweet Potato takes me back to Thanksgiving & the bread pudding is magical! Really enjoyed this spot and will definitely be back!

Fried chicken, black eyed peas, Mac and cheese and peach cobbler

Food was amazing and service was even better. A nice little place out of the way. The vegetables were really good. Fried chicken and fried pork chops were delicious.

Buffet - fried chicken, collard greens, black eye peas, peach cobbler - yum!

Enroute to Florida we found this little gem in Eufaula AL for lunch. Buffet style food line with a good selection of home cooked comfort food. I dined on some fried chicken which was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The collard greens and black eyed peas were very good but the star of the meal was the fabulous peach cobbler. Best I've ever had! To die for good! The servers were friendly and helpful, too.

Ask the Community - Barb's Country Kitchen & Cakery

Will you be open on Thanksgiving Day serving Thanksgiving dinner?

Yes they are normally open on Thanksgiving.

How easy is RV parking?

I personally didn't see any as it is mostly street parking. That being said Eufaula gets a lot of RV traffic going to the beach, I'll bet there are places to park and walk. Good luck.

This is my favorite restaurant when I come to Eufaula. We always get the Cajun Tuna Dip to start…read more DELICIOUS! I can't eat here without eating the grilled grouper and my side is always the sautéed veggies. (I forgot to take a picture). My best friend always gets the Fried Grouper Po Boy. When we leave I am always stuffed and completely satisfied! Our server was Trinity R and she was lovely! So sweet and very efficient. As you come in the door you see some festive artwork that is very colorful with New Orleans vibes We didn't eat outside but they do have outdoor seating.

I had my dog with me so I sat outside by the street, but still received amazing service. My waiter, Logan, was very attentive and was always one step ahead of me if I needed something. I had a cup of the gumbo and a beer for starters. The gumbo was perfectly seasoned and delicious and the beer was ice cold. After that, I ordered the red beans and rice, but by the time I finished the gumbo and my beer, I was pretty full. I did try the red beans and rice and it was very good. I can't wait to have it tomorrow. All in all a very good experience. I'm looking forward to going back.

Went here after attending service at Marantha Baptist Church. This seemed to be a popular go-to…read moreafter service at the church, as I saw a lot of familar faces from the congregation and many of them had recommended the restaurant to us as well (or I guess not much is opened in the small town). The Silo is a small, meat and three, cafeteria-style restaurant, with a small, humble range of choices obviously cooked fresh. There really was only a plate option available with your choice of entree (fried chicken/meatloaf), 2 sides, cornbread, dessert (only pie that day), and sweet tea. The chicken was piping hot when we got it, tender and juicy but could've had a little more seasoning. The mac and mashed potatoes were decent, as well as the cornbread which had a nice bit of crust. I really liked the peanut butter pie I got, not too sweet and light enough to finish after a pretty heavy meal.

Honestly, it was just okay for me. We went on 10/14/18 after attending a Marantha Baptist Church…read moreservice. They were doing buffet style, they may do that all the time, not sure. For $9.95 you got, an entree (Fried Chicken Quarter or Baked Spaghetti), 2 veggies (MacCheese, Green Beans, Rutabaga, couple of others), Peach Cobbler, biscuit/cornbread, and tea. For a bakery, a DEEP south one at that, you would expect the cobbler to be really good...not so much. It was all edible, but something was off, perhaps it just wasn't seasoned enough. Like there wasn't any sugar or salt in anything. Everybody was super friendly, and these folks were FAST! The restaurant was clean and comfortable. It's one of the only food options in town, and the only thing available on this Sunday.
