This is my favorite restaurant when I come to Eufaula. We always get the Cajun Tuna Dip to start. DELICIOUS! I can't eat here without eating the grilled grouper and my side is always the sautéed veggies. (I forgot to take a picture). My best friend always gets the Fried Grouper Po Boy. When we leave I am always stuffed and completely satisfied! Our server was Trinity R and she was lovely! So sweet and very efficient. I was visiting Eufaula and dropped in tonight to grab a bite. The Cajun Corner is located in an older part of downtown. It's old and nostalgic, but at the same time quaint and welcoming. I had my dog with me so I sat outside by the street, but still received amazing service. My waiter, Logan, was very attentive and was always one step ahead of me if I needed something. I had a cup of the gumbo and a beer for starters. The gumbo was perfectly seasoned and delicious and the beer was ice cold. After that, I ordered the red beans and rice, but by the time I finished the gumbo and my beer, I was pretty full. I did try the red beans and rice and it was very good. I can't wait to have it tomorrow. All in all a very good experience. I'm looking forward to going back. read more

We just happened to be passing by and was craving some good fish and comfort food. Boy am I glad we stopped! The food was fantastic! I don't think I've had better food. It was flavorful and innovative and fresh. Service was great, they were a little busy, but any wait I did have was made up for by the food. I wish I had taken pictures of the food, but I ate it too fast! Eggplant stix and crazy bread are a must. I got two large pieces of fried grouper and a large portion of fries at lunch for $12.95! The food is excellent. We ordered the cajun fried egg plant appetizer, which was unique and a great use of egg plant. The North Shore Pasta and steak were also good. I think they were either slammed or under staffed, as service wasn't great. We never got several drinks we ordered, but they tried to charge us for them when the bill came. Food was great would have given a 5 star but we were seated in back by back door and it was cold out and every time someone left we got a cold breeze,and we were seated at a tall table that wobbled everyone at the table was afraid to touch the darn table to eat because everything was rocking and rolling! Got the chance to stop here during a work trip with my girlfriend and let me tell you. First off, I'm a big New Orleans food guy. Love everything about the food they create there. I'm always looking for a little bit of its love closer to home, and this was the spot to go to. The place was actually structured almost similar to most of the walk-in places off Bourbon St. Great ambiance, good music, just a vibe. I ordered the fried oysters, red beans and rice, and one other thing I can't quite recall. I had a day this day so I don't remember much but the food is still on my tongue. We came in for an early dinner and were seated quickly. We asked about local brews but closest they had was 38 from FL. So we had 38 and Deep Eddy Lemon and tonic. They were served quickly and were very good. We ordered the Cajun Sampler of fried pickles, eggplant crawfish. We enjoyed it with the house sauce with horseradish. We ordered cajun burger with sautéed vegetables and Blackened Shrimp, Crawfish and Grouper with sweet potato fries. The hamburger was good but the vegetables let a lot to be desired. They appeared to be steamed and were not hot. The Shrimp, Crawfish and Shrimp were amazing along with the sweet potato fries and sweet sauce. Crawfish Etouffee was great with good spice. Over all the food was amazing but would discourage getting the vegetables. The restaurant is clean with New orleans pictures hanging on the wall. The restrooms are nice and clean. The service is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the food is F-ING PHENOMENAL. We had crawfish étouffée, fried crawfish, fried grouper, a salad, the bourbon street heaven, and to top it all off, key lime pie. Everything was amazing. I was planning to take out my husband for his birthday dinner to Cajun Corner,it was a huge disappointment! We walked in to the restaurant around 8pm on a busy Saturday evening. The restaurant was crowded and loud inside so we asked to be seated outside. After the hostess conversed with the servers,no one could serve us outside so we wanted to make it easy and ask to be seated inside by the door. Hostess said go ahead. After a few minutes she came back and informed us that we have to move because the table was reserved. I sad no problem,can we sit at the bar. She said, yes. We set at the bar and watched the very unprofessional bartender scooping slashes with her bare hands.... We set there for about 15 minutes..... No one asked us if we needed any water or wanted to take our order.... So after being ignored for a good amount of time we just decided to walk away. Very,very disappointing. And to top this of ironically the Cajun Corner is not even on the corner anymore. I wasn't feeling too well when we met my mom out for dinner as we were passing through, so I only had the baked potato this time, but the server was so nice to make sure everyone was taken care of and he checked on how I was feeling with sincerity. I wish I could remember his name, but he knows who he is and thanks for being so kind. We always eat here when we visit my mom who lives in Eufaula, Alabama. My husband is from Louisiana and bleeds purple and gold. I consider myself one of the best Cajun cookers around and I'm always pleased with the food here. When I go out to eat, I want to eat food that is at least as good as I would make and Cajun Corner doesn't disappoint. It's at least as good. My husband's grouper was tender and cooked perfectly, but just had a little too much sauce and things going on in the sauce with too many veggies. The cheesy bread they serve prior to the meal is always on point. Fried green tomatoes were yummy and wish I could've gotten a regular meal, but hopefully will be back again! read more

Had to update my review unfortunately. We've eaten here twice over the last year since they've moved locations and sadly, it's just not as good. Bread was stale and bland despite being as greasy as a slick pig. Gumbo overly thick, no depth of flavor, and skimpy on the protein. Both times we were disappointed with our meals. My hubby is here working and I was home for bit so he has visited here several times for dinner and bragged about the food so when I got here I was excited to go!! I will say everything we had to eat was delicious!! The problem was the service!!! We ordered apps I had the fried green tomatoes they were great the other half of our party ordered the cheese sticks and fried pickles which the cheese sticks were cold like they had sat waiting to be brought out. They server was asked not once but twice to bring them so ranch for the appetizer and never received it!! That right there was a BIG NO NO in my book!!! That I take as the server just didn't care!!! It was a good experience with very few minor mishaps. My food was good but my grandmothers and mothers was greasy. The service was good tho. Nice waiters and staff as usual. This place is amazing. My husband has been working in the area and this is the second time we've eaten here. It's a small restaurant downtown that has great service. We were seated quickly even though they were short staffed the first time. My husband says the gumbo is some of the best he's ever had and he grew on the gulf coast. The catfish was amazing both times I ate it. Crunchy on the outside moist on the inside. My husband has ate the ribeye and the seafood duo (shrimp and grouper) fried and says everything was great. Not sure how this place has higher reviews. Wife and I came here Thursday night (May 9, 2109) at about 7pm, we came based on the reviews we read. Walked in and noticed seating is helter skelter, waitress tried to seat us in the middle of a walk thru area, even though the place wasn't crowded. We moved the table over so we were out of the way. Waitress finally came back to get drink orders, wife had water I had half and half tea, very watery and still too sweet. I ordered the Mardi Gras Stuffed Shrimp ($19.95), with a side of red beans and rice. "Cajun" bread was included, whatever that is. The red beans and rice were watery and greasy at the same time, very little flavor except butter. The shrimp was flavored with butter, and little else. The tiny serving of bread tasted like bread soaked in - guess what - butter. The bread was supposed to come out as an appetizer, but our waitress advised us "I don't do it that way I bring it with the food"...I suppose she tells all customers what they want and when they want it. This was probably one of the worst dinners I've ever had. If you want to eat lots of butter, then this is your place. If you want cajun food, go somewhere else. The wait was unexpected after we arrived much later than we were told to have to wait an additional 20 more minutes for the food. When food was received, the order total was tabulated wrong, which caused a bit more frustration. The gumbo was great, but the fish platter wasn't memorable. Stopped by for a bite on a road trip as it's right on the way from PCB and Atl (pretty much square in the middle). It took them a little while to come out to us on the patio but eventually when they did, the food came pretty quickly and it was surprisingly good. We are a small family and were able to share the pick three combo and eat for under $30 for some good seafood. Food was pretty buttery, but this wasn't all that surprising given the type of food and it did make it taste pretty good. We liked the crawfish and shrimp quite a bit and the chicken was surprisingly moist and well spiced. Fries were just ok. The place does a nice job of having a Nola ambiance but if you plan on eating outside, sit as far away from the street as you can as it gets pretty noisy. read more

We stopped at the Cajun Corner on our way from Florida to Montevallo, Al and the food was excellent from hand-battered fried green tomatoes with a great horseradish sauce, seafood gumbo with crostinis was very flavorful. My son had the Cajun chicken tenders and they were very fresh. Decor in restaurant is beautiful and feels like New Orleans. I would definitely stop at the hidden gem of a restaurant. read more

We are locals and this is our favorite restaurant in town! All of their food is good but we recently discovered their great steaks. They are aged and well seasoned. The first time we ordered one, it was cooked to perfection; perfect medium rare and seared and crispy on the outside. The second time we had it, it was cooked to medium rare, but did not have the char that we love. But it was still tasty. The servers are always friendly and accommodating. read more

Went here for the first time this past weekend (party of 4) appetizers were good but food left alot to be desired. 2 of us ordered the stuffed fish and it took forever (people who came in 30 minutes after us got their food before we did. When our food did come out it was only 3 of the 4 plates. The stuffed fish, came out cold, the other got fried food w/fries and it was room temperature. The 4th person ordered a steak and baked potato and it was probably 15 minutes after we had gotten our food and his was ok. Our server was not on top of things, not very attentive and we had issues getting our check.Once we gave her the cards for pmt, she took 10 min to even bring back. From their chicken fingers, anduille sausage po boy down to their crawfish etouffee and twice baked potatoes...perfection is the only word that comes to mind! This will definently be a regular stop for us on our way to Florida. I also can't not mention how friendly the staff is!
