The absolute worst when it comes to IHOPs. Never again, absolutely never again... My bf and I thought having a late breakfast/pretty much lunch around 12pm wouldn't result in too long of a wait for food, but boy were we wrong. The girl at the front checking customers in/handling the waitlist had a friendly demeanor and was probably the only good part about our visit. We were seated within 10-15 minutes, as she said. Our booth was dirty, so she was able to clean off the table as we seat down. Our waiter on the other hand, was quite interesting... Since we were waiting before being seated, we had plenty of time to look over the menu and were ready to order right away. However our waiter made up a weird excuse in only being able to get our beverage orders to start since he still had to get food for another table. Um, ever heard of writing it down? After another 20 minutes, he came back around with our drinks. I ordered a coffee and he just brought one mug, and I had to ask for creamer as the waiter didn't think to bring it proactively (as one usually does at most diners...). My bf ordered a cold foam brew that was supposed to come with a whipped topping, but he was served a dark brown drink that apparently had an odd taste not like the cold brew he was expecting. The waiter then told us that the machine used to make the whipped topping was broken...okay, why did you not tell us this before? We finally put in our food orders, and our waiter did not write anything down. We were super hungry at this point, and waited a good 40 minutes before we received our IHOP. IMO, this is ridiculous for an IHOP---where one would expect cheap and fast diner-style food. I had ordered the veggie pesto benedict with a side of crispy side potatoes. Not hashbrowns. I said this twice to the waiter. Similarly, my bf also ordered a benedict dish with a side of fruit. We both got a side of...HASHBROWNS with our orders *insert palm face emoji here*. We also ordered a plate of Tres Leches pancakes because the picture on the menu had us sold. We were almost given a mini stack of plain buttermilk pancakes, and had to remind our waiter what we ordered. What came out was the sloppiest, messiest, soggiest, stack of pancakes we had ever seen. Needless to say, we did not finish it. When it came time to pay, even that was a struggle and took a good 15 minutes before the waiter came back with the receipt. We left a little after 2pm...seriously? I normally don't give 1 star reviews, so when I do, it is absolutely because it was a disaster of an experience. IHOP Cedar Park, do better.

I'm increasing the stars because the restaurant is back to solid staffing levels, and they hired an overnight cook, so they are back to serving food 24 hours. My recent visit was during a busy lunch, but I still received efficient service, and my meal was correct and hot.

My dad's favorite spot. he loves the pancakes and bonus points for having sugar-free maple syrup. For a couple of minutes we were the only ones in the restaurant 1:30P. We have never had a bad experience, sometimes it's busier and the wait times are a little longer but again today was great. Our waitress was fabulous. I had the chicken and waffles off of their new spring summer menu. The restaurant is well maintained. My diet soda was flat and I immediately brought it to the attention of our waitress. She exchanged it and did not charge me for it. That's huge, thank you again so so much for that courtesy!!

Sirloin Tips n Eggs - Delicious (my fav at IHOP)

Our service, once we were seated, and server was good, as was our food, so 2 Stars for that. The hostess was slow as molasses on a cold winter day. She disappeared for 15 minutes and left me standing at the counter. The ambiance is casual but IHOP's just feel dirty, dingy, n sticky. This one feels that way and they need someone sweeping at all times. One mom and daughter asked to move after being seated due to food and trash under the table, just gross. I watched an employee wipe food from the table, onto the bench, then onto the floor underneath. That's uncalled for. My favorite meal here is the Sirloin Tips n Eggs. It's the ONLY reason I come to IHOP.

This is THE BEST donut shop we've been to in a very long time. The donut and coffee selection is very impressive, to say the least. They also have breakfast sandwiches, breakfast tacos, smoothies, milkshakes. The list is long. We tried an apple fritter, a croissants sandwich, a bagel sandwich and breakfast tacos. We also got a lavender latte and an americano. Everything was made fresh and we were all very pleased. The decor is on point. Old cartoons play on silent with pleasant soft music playing at exactly the right volume. The team is very pleasant seems very happy. It's also super clean. Oh! Another bonus: They have a few games. My husband and I ordered two iced vanilla lattes with almond milk, and both drinks were difficult to drink. The espresso tasted very burnt and overly acidic, and one latte was especially watered down due to having very little ice. We ended up throwing both away, which was disappointing after spending around $15. As people who genuinely love coffee and enjoy supporting local cafes, we don't expect perfection, but we do expect some consistency and care in preparation. Hoping this was just an off day, because the space and reviews made us really want to love it.

I love these seats cause you can see the coffee station and what's going on back there. Basically people watching. It was a little loud today, so I put on my head set and listened to some music. My server was Joyce and she was sweet. Took my order, which was breakfast tacos and a pineapple mimosa. My drink came super quick, and my food didn't take long at all. I mean like a couple minutes quick. Tacos were outstanding. And honestly as soon as I asked for a corn tortilla over the flour I thought, they're going to fall apart. But they didn't. And when you see the size of these tacos it will blow your mind that they didn't. Good corn tortilla. Scrambled eggs are fluffy, the potatoes are seasoned a little. They added bacon for me a that was chopped up inside the taco. Honestly it was a lot of food. I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it. But I did, and enjoyed every bite.

While it was a bit of a far drive, it was well worth it to have breakfast at Texas Toast Breakfast and Burgers with these friends. I had no expectations of what to expect (first time diner), so I was starting from ground zero. First impression...this was a neighborhood café with down home cooking. The restaurant had a small town, country, and laid-back vibe...no pretense, just warm and welcoming. As I got out of my car, I could smell the wafts of something good happening in the kitchen. Our server was friendly and immediately offered us water. She gave us adequate time to place our orders and checked on us pretty frequently. She was attentive while also giving us the right amount of space. Why do this neighborhood café have a 4.8 rating? Hands the food! My friends ordered the Chicken Fried Steak Plate (including three over easy eggs, hash browns, and of course, Texas toast) and two breakfast tacos. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Did I die and go to food heaven? The waffles were firm on the exterior and soft and flavorful inside. So, so good! My friends were pleased their meals also. My friends meal came with Texas toast, which she gave to me. It was yummy! I did not eat it all since I was carb-loading with waffles. Would I dine at Texas Toast Breakfast & Burgers again? You feel taken care of from the moment you sit down. Now, about sitting down: this place is popular. Like, really popular. If you're hoping for an intimate conversation about your feelings, you might want to snag a table outside. Inside, it's lively enough that you'll be reading lips more than listening. But hey, the outdoor seating is lovely, so problem solved! Here's where things get a little greasy--literally. First Watch proudly markets itself as a champion of fresh, whole ingredients and quality cooking. I've been a fan for exactly that reason. But on my most recent visit, something was... off. The food had this noticeably greasier quality, and I'm pretty confident they switched to a cheaper cooking oil (canola or similar vegetable oil, if I had to guess). For context: certain oils don't agree with me--they trigger migraines and general unwellness. And sure enough, within hours, I was both nauseous and nursing a headache. Not exactly the "fresh start" First Watch promises. Everything else was solid, but I can't give five stars when a restaurant's practice doesn't match its principles. If you're sensitive to oils or generally avoid the cheaper varieties, proceed with caution or ask about their current cooking oil before ordering anything fried or sautéed. Still love the concept--just hoping they get back to their roots (and better oils).
