Wife wanted pancakes with her breakfast and we were on the south side of town. IHOP was near our next stop. Cleanliness 5/5, service 4/5, food delivered in spurts. Let me explain. Coffee and water showed quickly. Order taken. First out eggs and meats were delivered. Then as we were finishing the plates, here came a stack of pancakes...about 10 minutes after our food. Then after all was finished, our servings of Grits came. Oh, they were hot. But we had to ask for butter. Each part was good, but waiting for the whole order was weird and off putting. Close to the hotel, tried it for breakfast. Service was poor- waited 30 minutes for more beverages. Long wait for food too. When the food finally did come out, it was cold. The pancakes were so dry my son didn't even eat them. Hash browns were awfully burnt and swimming in grease. Very disappointing to spend $50 for breakfast that was disgusting. The Service is good. However they can't cook OM eggs so I ordered OE eggs knowing this. They come out over Med well my hash browns.I asked for them browned. I prefer scattered and browned but again they can't do this either. They come out with very little brown mostly white. I have them recook my eggs they come out pretty much raw. If you want to actually get seated, don't go here. We have never had good service at this location. Our latest visit, we sat for over an hour waiting to get seated after midnight. The hostess came out to give updates and it was just one excuse after another (no cooks, got slammed, issues with servers, and finally "gas leak"). we watched many people leave without getting served even after being seated. Went there for a late breakfast on a Sunday. If you've been to one, you've been to them all. The issues I think this venue may have are their service and presentation. Service - My experience was "ok". As compared to other reviewers, I didn't have any major problem. Food - Was standard taste wise, but the presentation was a bit awkward. I ordered silver dollar pancakes and they came out looking "weird". Not bad. They brought my toast out on a huge plate instead of a saucer. Again, these are small things that just leave you scratching your head. Environment - the place was packed. This isn't their fault. I come to this IHOP quite often; as I am a big fan of IHOP. While I do suggest this restaurant to people, there is some things that annoy me about this IHOP. During my past several visits to this restaurant, they never seem to have a hostess or host at the front of the restaurant. I always need to stop a waitress to be added to the wait list. They should change to just making the front a sign in list if this is gonna be the case. The food is always amazing and I love the menu and the taste of the food. The service is usually on point. I like the people who work here. Also, please bring back the pitchers of coffee. I don't understand how you can't serve pitchers of coffee because of Covid. This location is a joke. The utter disorganization and lack of effort by management and staff is ridiculous. No one knows what anyone else is doing or supposed to be doing. I've heard management berate employees in front of customers when the poor environment clearly falls back on management. Customers stand at the counter waiting to pay their bill sometimes for 5-10 mins before they're even approached. They rarely have bags to put to go orders in so it's not unusual to watch customers carrying handfuls of containers in their arms hoping not to drop them before reaching their vehicle outside. Bathrooms are always a mess and out of soap, toilet paper and/or paper towels. Clearly management needs to take control of this location. read more

What can i say about IHop? Let me start by saying I am NO breakfast fan, therefore I will NEVER find time to assign a 5-star-review to an establishment that has made their business over selling breakfast 24/7... Having said that, it was part of our routine to go to IHop for breakfast on the day of each other's birthday... normally it would be a week/school day.. but, getting up @5:30 AM to have some pretty good pancakes with with fresh strawberries, french toast, hash browns, crispy bacon with some nice coffee was a good change of pace. Terrible service. I sat with a direct view into the kitchen and saw tons of plates sitting under the heat lamp for 15+ minutes at a time. I watched to see what servers were responsible (and to make sure one of them wasn't mine), but it looked like the kitchen was partially plating sides before the main entrees were done. If you plate the veggies and mashed potatoes first to wait for the chicken, sticking them under a heat lamp does NOT make them fresh. Our server apologized for the wait on the food, and when it came it was cold and obviously old except for the main entree, hot like it just came out. IHOP can be just fine if the kitchen doesn't do this. Then, just to make SURE I was motivated enough to leave a bad review, we waited over 20 more minutes after our plates were cleared for our check. Really disappointed. We arrived (2 people)at a little after 10 am. On a Tuesday morning. Sat and watched waiter after waiter walk past us for about five minutes. I don't know why I'm giving this place 4 stars. Maybe it's because I leave happy and full. But the last few times we went here the food was just ok. Last night I ordered a pancake combo and it came with eggs that I ordered scrambled. They were so flat and sad looking and covered in grease. I ordered my bacon burnt and they did that right, the pancakes were tasty as well. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp, and for the second time we were told they were "out" of the pineapple glaze sauce that we've been wanting to try for awhile. I have a feeling they were never "out" but just giving us that excuse because they don't want to make it or serve it without us ordering the "right" kind of shrimp since there are two versions on the menu.
