    Black on black
    Carlo F.

This is one of my favourite ice cream shops in the city. I usually visit the downtown location, but was in the area and had to stop in to get a cone. My favorite is always the black on black, although I did try a sample of the pandan and i think i might want to try that one next time as it was quite flavourful. This location has a steady flow of customers going throughout the door, but it's not as busy as downtown.

This is the newest location (Bloor St near High Park) of the famous iHalo Krunch soft serve ice cream with their signature activated charcoal cone (made from coconut husk). It is also the very first location to offer ice cream bubble tea with boba which uniquely features their soft serve ice cream inside the drink. The 3 ice cream dispensing machines hold 2 different flavours, dispensed with right and left levers. The middle lever makes a 50-50 twist of the 2 flavours. As such they offers 6 different flavours at one time. During their opening, their 6 flavours are: coconut charcoal, ube, Madagascar vanilla, cocomatcha, strawberry, and pandan. They will always have at least one flavour which is vegan; this time it is the cocomatcha which coconut with a hint of Japanese green tea. One flavour will be rotated seasonally; this season's rotational flavour is strawberry, inspired by strawberry pocky. The bubble tea flavours are pandan, ube, strawberry, "meet your matcha", and milk tea. We chose a giant cone with all 6 of their flavours (so filling!) and an ube bubble tea with boba. Glad the temp was "only" 18C and we were in the shade, or else it would have all melted before we could finish It! I liked the ube ice cream inside the bubble tea making it halfway between a bubble tea and a slush, both of which I love. They had a soft opening on 2021-05-13 with their official grand opening on 2021-05-15. All their previous locations were 100% owned by a husband (Tuan) and wife (Charlene) team. However, this location is the first time they have partnered with someone else. A bit of trivia: They used to live at my condo building downtown Toronto. Now they have a super successful business! We've had their ice cream since they were just a popup inside a retail store on Queen St W downtown! At this location they have free reign to do whatever they want. They even have outdoor seating along the sidewalk. This is the first location to offer bubble tea and ice cream cakes (starting in Jun), along with pint tubs of their ice cream for sale. They will eventually offer bubble tea at their previous locations. This location will be testing out new flavours and menu options. Later in 2021, they plan to franchise their business using this location as a model. The ice cream cakes are smallish for now at a 6-inch diameter but they will make 9-inch diameter cakes once the pandemic restrictions allow indoor parties with many people once again. The cakes are be purchases as is or custom made (via pre-ordering). The standard flavours for the cakes are: - ubenut - ube all the way - iHalo (pandan and ube) - ice cream solves everything (vanilla strawberry and sprinkles) All the cakes have a fluff centre with crumble. There is free WiFi (in the near future). It is wheelchair accessible.  There are two gender-neutral  customer washrooms, one of which is accessible. There is street parking. 2021-054 You can also find me on Instagram @chuan_chee. Thanks.

Ube and Strawberry Ice cream on a black waffle cone

This is a really neat and unique ice cream place that you should definitely stop into if walking by. They boast unique flavours including Ube which also ties into their most interesting part which is the colours of their ice cream. With some Ube you can also get it on a black waffle cone making the purple Ube pop! You can also get mixed flavours for some interesting combos. I got Ube with black ice cream on top of strawberry on a black waffle cone. All the ice cream tasting really good and didn't melt too quickly so you are able to enjoy it without a sticky mess. Definitely stop in the servers are friendly and quick

Rainbow cone !! Highly recommend. So fun to eat and look at :)

Love this new ihalo krunch spot ! It's the perfect treat to bring along for a stroll in High Park Atmosphere 5/5: so fun and colourful! Everything from the wallpaper, super cool piano, pink benches, and neon signs... it's perfect for a photoshoot with your treat! The Rainbow soft serve - not only is it beautiful to look at, the flavours combined together was surprisingly pretty good too! The soft serve texture is a little bit icy, but for the most part the flavours are true to taste. My favourite is the pandan and ube Bubble tea - this is a new thing for iHalo. I noticed they use their soft serve ice cream on the bottom as the base so it's EXTRAAA creamy and sweet!

Been here twice. The first location I went to years ago on queen street. So happy they opened another location closer to bloor west. Got the twist, ube/charcoal. I think it has been years since I've tried ihalo and I guess the first time, I enjoyed it more so. This time, I felt the ice cream was more of a yoghurt than a soft serve ice cream. Less creamy then typical mcdonalds cone. But if you want to try something different...check out iHalo.

First time trying this ice cream shop and was not disappointed at the service. There was one employee taking orders and serving customers their ice cream. The vanilla bean ice cream was good but had a strong ice taste. The strawberry was great. It was described as milky, and that's exactly what is tasted like. The parlor is quite busy but nonetheless the employee was efficient and made sure all orders were done well and correctly! Will be coming back. FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM: 416tasty

My wife asked what flavour I had... I have no idea; it's half black and half purple in a black cone. Importantly, it's all GOOD.. the taste, the look... sweet swirl machines!

Halo from the other side! I might be a little late to the UBE party, but glad that I finally got a chance to try these beautiful ice cream cones from @ihalokrunch. iHalo Krunch opened its new location at 2114 Bloor St W and, it looks like they're about to make this summer even crazier with their UBER flavours. It was my first time trying UBE and, I think I am in love with it now. When it comes to picking icecreams, I love picking unique flavours and, these have hit the right spot. So what did I get to try? Rainbow Icecream: This showstopper ice cream had Ube, Charcoal coconut, Strawberry milk, Vanilla bean and Pandan (even the cone was charcoal flavoured). Your summer is all sorted with this one. Ubenut: When two epic flavours combine and make a signature. UBE (the sweet purple yam), twisted with black on black (a subtle coconut mixed with activated charcoal). Perfect for the one who loves who is about to try something new other than the regular flavours. I also tried their new bubble tea with ice cream. Yes, you've read it right. I tried 2 of the gamechanger BBT and, I am in awe. The two flavours were Pandan Boba and Meet Your Matcha (I couldn't take a picture because it was irresistible). SAVE or SHARE this post so that you can drool later. iHalo Krunch High Park, 2114 Bloor St W

Ubenut: ube coconut swirl on top of vanilla
    Siobhan G.

Deliciously creamy texture, well balanced flavours, and insta-worthy snacks and decor. I tried the Ubenut - ube and coconut swirl on top of Madagascar vanilla ice cream. The ube and coconut were flavourful and not too sweet. The coconut ice cream was refreshing, and the ube was slightly nutty. Even the cone was good, the bottom plugged with a thoughtful little marshmallow to keep the ice cream from dripping through. This place is awesome because you can layer any combo of ice cream flavours that you want. They also have a couple special flavours inside that aren't on the menu outside (this time it was strawberry). On a hot Sunday afternoon I waited a total of 2 minutes before being able to go inside. The interior is cute and trendy and there's some seating outside. Their stuff is a bit on the expensive side, but the unique flavours and friendly service make it worth it. Portion size was pretty generous too. Staff were super friendly. I'll definitely be craving their ice cream now and will be back to try their other flavours.

Pretty new location in such a great area. If you're going for a walk around high park, stopping by for ice cream is a must! Great service and the ice cream is just amazing. Ube will always be my go-to. But they have other things like BBT, pints of ice cream and cakes even.

Got their ice cream with all the flavours! The ice cream consisted of 4 layers: Ube Charcoal Strawberry Milk Pandan My fav flavour is probably ube or strawberry , but all 4 flavours together was amazing. I also tried their ube bubble tea as well! Loved how there was ube soft serve at the bottom. However, tapioca was very bland. 10/10 for ice cream and 7/10 for the ube bubble tea.

    Pandan nut flavour
    Julie P.

Delicious! Purchased the pandan Nut - Overall all three flavours taste is over powered with coconut :). Tip : Go on a weekday to avoid line ups. Will try other flavours . Decor looks fun! They also sell ice in a tub and ice cream bubble tea.

We ordered the most popular ice cream flavours, charcoal, matcha and Ube! They were very tasty and the location is super cute!

Used to be really good. Unfortunately not anymore. At my last visit the ice-cream texture was weird and had fatty particles in it.

I never knew a…read moreplace like this existed in Toronto, although I've always been fascinated by the exterior of this place. This is a frozen dessert emporium! With more ice cream and frozen yogurt flavours than you can imagine. And at least 20 waffle cone and bowl options. Looking at pictures from last year, it appears the waffle cone options change regularly as well. But they don't give you just any ice cream cone. They surprise you with additional toppings! How to feel like a kid again (except my kid who didn't appreciate the extra toppings). When we arrived, there was no line and I thought "why are there three people behind the counter?" From that point on there was a line up out the door. The place itself is a feast for the eyes. There is so much to look at, it's hard to focus on eating. Although ice cream and frozen yogurt are their specialty, they also have Dutch goods, popcorn and a wide variety of drinks. It does feel like a European cafe in the middle of Toronto. Fresh air blowing through the open doors. One interesting thing I learned is that the ice cream is kosher (the frozen yogurt is not?). Someone mentioned it was outlined somewhere on the outside of the building. Also, the only negative feature of this place is the number of bees both inside and outside. As someone terrified of bees, this was a nightmare. Thankfully, there is so much sugar around that they don't focus on anything for any significant length of time. This place is a gem in the city. It does not get enough recognition. You love ice cream? You need to check this place out!

Even with that there are 3 or 4 tables for to enjoy treat and about a dozen Jones and waffle bowl options to choose from. A treat and special place for certain, but worth a stop by when your nearby.
