I had confidence going into this salon for full highlights after checking Instagram and seeing the work looked well executed and even included shots of famous people! I went to the salon for full blonde highlights. I left the salon with green stripes. I was so tired after 6 hours of processing that when I left the salon I thought the work looked ok. When I got home I looked in the mirror and thought to myself...oh no! What was the look they were going for? I honestly have no idea if the salon even knows what went wrong. Over the phone after I sent them pics the manager mentioned that the toner was not left on long enough or perhaps the mixing of the bleach wasn't done correctly. This is not acceptable at the price tag of $500 or any price tag. They offered me to come back in to fix it, however I am not willing to give them another shot at messing up my hair. It sucks! They said they would refund me $300. So I am stuck paying $200 for green stripes? Not fair! No one should have to pay for their errors. I lost an entire day and $200 and now I have to find someone talented who can fix this mess! They should give me a full refund, that is the only fair thing to do so I can find someone else to fix this mistake! The staff are nice and fun to talk to, however the work is not professional. It looks like I did it myself. Also, it is not blonde, it is green. To top it off, they did not put any highlights on the back of my head! I guess he forgot to finish! See pics below. Cut by a guy with the name starting with the letter F, maybe Franz or Fred. The cut was awful, I walked out with choppy layers with one layer being substantially lower and separated from the rest of the layers. I went to another salon to even out the layers. Color by another guy who did a decent enough job. The highlights were not terrible but no letters were sent to mother praising how wonderful and fabulous the highlights turned out. The staff are unprofessional. While I was getting my hair washed one leaned over me to show the person washing my hair the menu from a restaurant on his phone they were placing an order for lunch. I was appalled. The bathroom situation is a bit precarious with the restroom location outside the salon on the second floor in the center of a construction site with construction workers galore-----and absolutely no lock on the door! The women's room had one of those punch numbers in lock that was broken. The men's restroom had the door wide open with no lock at all. Thankfully, the building's cleaning lady kept cover while I used the restroom. I mentioned the broken lock situation to the front desk girl but was met with a vacant stare. A high priced salon should have an on-site restroom, seriously. read more

I've been to this salon twice, my first time being two years ago and my second being last month. I have mixed feelings about this salon, some positives and some negatives. To start with the positives, i believe that when you walk into this salon, that you'll walk out absolutely loving your results. Personally, when I go to a hair salon for either a dye or cut, I'm anxious and apprehensive about how everything will look. However, with IGK there's no doubt that professional colorists and stylist gods and goddesses working on your hair. I always go with Sarah for my color and Elizabeth for my cut and they're both amazing and talented and I love my results every time. And the products that are used are definitely high end due to the fact that the color lasts sooo long and grows out beautifully. As for the negatives, the girls at the reception are very rude. Both times I've gone, very stand off-ish, not welcoming whatsoever. Also, no matter how far in advance you make your appointment, they will forever be incredibly busy to the point where you have to wait hours whether it's to color, cut, wash or dry. And it always seems rushed as well. It's frustrating cause you would like your pampering day to be smooth and it's just bumpy here mostly. And finally, the price tag is definitely hefty. I got a balayage, cut and blow dry and it was upwards of $600, not including tip and the parking which you need to pay for as well. 4 stars because my hair came out the exact way I wanted it to... Lhonette is a true color artist and she listened to my concerns and made my hair look beautiful!!! It was pricey but I can deal with it since I love my new and improved hair. 1 star-The only thing that ticks me off about this salon is that the receptionist isn't the nicest person-don't get me wrong, she isn't mean, she just doesn't make you feel welcome. Also, I believe one of the owners was at the salon when I was there and did not even bother to come up to me to ask how I was doing-meanwhile I am a recurring client who has spent a lot of $ at the salon in Miami and in New York as well.. As the owner of a salon, one should definitely go around making sure clients are happy and asking them how they are. After all, without any clients the salon wouldn't exist!!! Other than that, I got a person to wash my hair and another to blow it out. Sucks Lhonette, who did my color, could not style it herself. First time at the IGK salon today and I absolutely loved it! The front desk was extremely nice and offered me a drink as soon as I got there. I loved the vibe of the salon and especially the music. Everyone had a mask on, and there were acrylic dividers between stations. Most importantly, JOTA did an INCREDIBLE job!!!! My hair is seriously art and he exceeded my expectations 100%! I'm just back from IGK Salon. Read my review here. It's taken me a couple of days to reflect and calm down. My appt on sat was to colour and highlight. I had to send a pix before I came and when I got there I showed him a picture of Cindy Crawford hair looking brown with light brown highlights. We discussed I said no blonde or red. He said " I got it neural!" I was there for 3 hours and sat with a toner for about 45 min . Then my hair was blown dry by an assistant at a table with an extension cord for the dryer which blew 2ce. I asked her to take the dye off my skin and she said she didn't want to wet my hair!When I left Ryan was sitting at the cash and I expressed it looked reddish. He said it would take a couple of weeks. When is got home my husband told me the inside of my ears were all black and my skin on my forehead and sides were stained. I sent a picture in and they invited me back the next morning. Reluctantly I drive an hour and Ryan gabe me suck attitude. What a prima donna! He showed Cindy c"s picture again and insisted it was blond! So rude! How about" what can I do to make a client happy? Or how can we fix this! He put toner on it sent me to an assistant and never once came to look at it to see if it was ok. I went to the front and said you told me a stylist would blow my hair dry. After 10 min I was given Rafael who blew my hair dry. On the way out I saw a woman from the day before who also came back to redo too much blond and said she would never go back! Ryan is a child and was so rude. It's not whether you make a mistake but what you to do fix it! He will not go anywhere in this world! All it took was a bit of courtesy instead of arrogance! I will NEVER recommend them and will tell everyone I know about him! The woman in charge laughed and said " it's like dealing with children". The salon is clean and smells fantastic. The manager is active in making sure all guests are comfortable and that they are following covid regulations. I was helped immediately, but there was a misunderstanding that I needed to make a separate hair cut appointment in addition to my highlights. However, they were able to fit me in right after I was done getting my highlights from Yuli. She took extra time to make sure we were both happy with my color and was not afraid to consult with the other colorists. I loved her attention to detail and perfectionism. Kevin cut and styled my hair. He was quick and efficient. I also really liked all of the hair products that they used and bought some for myself. IGK was a great experience; however, I still found it to be overpriced. Definitely plan on spending money when you go there. read more

This hair salon is super fun. Filled with young urban hipsters and hottest hits on the radio these days I don't mind spending a few hours here while I get my hair colored. Not sure why but it's so hard find a hair stylist that can color your Hair white/platinum without burning it bald. Then I found Janin and she turned my dull ashy yellow hair into a beautiful ice color. It turned out so beautiful I get lots of compliments every day. I did spend several hours (8hrs) in the salon bc it's always super busy, but it was worth it. Just try not to make too many plans for the day haha. read more

I've gotten cuts in their NYC and even once in Miami and left happy. I really wanted to love my cut and color. But this time.... I went to their 'best' frank Bc I really needed a pick me up- so spending nearly 800$ seemed worth it. and I without exaggeration I have never gotten a worse haircut. I have lots of strange layers that just stick out randomly. My color looks nothing like what I asked for - instead I have awkwardly shiny orangish streaks and my hair doesn't match my eyebrows anymore- which was specifically something I mentioned was really important to me. I can honestly say I came in looking better than I left - really bummed. they're just really good at marketing or only cater to a specific long hair look- or both, not sure - but very disappointed, as I will most definitely need to fix it read more

You will def wait to wash out your hair as they only have 4 chairs and they are always occupied. Two of us wanted to get our hair done in Miami before going on a cruise. I tried to get an appointment at Todd Jameson Nue Studio, but the receptionist never called me back, so I chose to make our appointments elsewhere. I read the reviews of Prive on yelp and made the appointments. Location - VERY SMALL. Located inside the Shore Club hotel. I tried to stay in the salon while my friend was getting their hair done, not possible. Sabrina was the stylist. She did a great job with the hair cut. She recommended some color for me and it turned out ok, nothing special. What could be better The customer service was sub par. Everyone else who came in after me was offered wine. I was dressed in jeans and t-shirt, and not all trendy to get my hair cut. Donnu if that is why I was treated differently. I rated this place 2 stars because 1) The price. Sabrina charged me $240 for a cut and two slaps of a brush for color. I could have gotten the same thing done for $70 in Atlanta, and $85 in Washington DC. I paid $240, and really there was NOTHING SPECIAL about what she did. I don't care it's on Miami Beach, I got the same service in Washington DC for 1/3 of the price. 2) The salon it's too small to be comfortable. The stylists were falling over each other. New location is in the Shore Club lobby, so make sure you ask which location your appt is at because they have different locations open on different days (I believe...) I got there early because I was worried about the wait I had read about all over here, only to not even have to wait two minutes. Probably the least amount of time I've ever had to wait to get my hair done!! Also Elizabeth. Is. A. Goddess. She is SO remarkably kind and definitely has mastered her craft. She knows what she's doing and is super knowledgeable about different hair types (I have wavy hair and she explained to me why the cut I wanted maybe wouldn't suit my face). I cut off about four inches and this took a little over an hour, which is surprisingly quick for how meticulous and detail-oriented she is. Pure Trendy Professionalism !! I visited the salon a while ago to serve as model so that Frank, their head stylist, could teach the employees some new haircut techniques. Even thou I got there scared wondering about what and how they were gonna do my hair, I left feeling like the luckiest girl in the world!! I am still to this day so impressed on how just the way they do your haircut can change your whole experience. Frank makes sure to keep his staff updated and well trained, Louise who "prepped" me was great too and so so nice!! I am very glad that I took the risk of letting them use my hair for the lesson and now definitely making Prive my main hair salon. I'm rating it 4 stars only for the fact that it was a bit confusing to find inside the hotel and the salon is not that spacious (although they did played well with their space). I visited the one at the SLS apparently theres another one at the Shore Club. Either way don't hesitate for a second to visit them, hands down your money will be well spent here. read more

Very good and very efficient as we called last Saturday afternoon and were able to be seen without issue. They do a very good job and everyone if friendly. The only weird thing is that they recommended a great place in Miami for dinner and El Tocan for the Carribean Show. It seems to be the busies place in town and they told us that their owner was a friend of the owner or manager where we were being sent and therefore they would make the reso for us, which was very cool. BC it was Saturdy night we checked on our reservation while awaiting Uber to show and they said they never heard of us nor our reservation. Leo's haircuts are THE BEST!! Having been a California native for a very long time with excellent hair stylists and a very extensive relationship with both my stylist and my colorist, it took me a long time to severe that tie and trust my lovely locks in the hands of another. Leo cut my hair beautifully. He was able to take out a lot of the bulk without making it too choppy or adding too many layers. He's also very sweet and the salon has a cool, hip vibe to it. Pretty much every local in south beach goes there, which speaks volumes as most locals go odd of the beach to get services done. Very highly recommend any of the stylists and colorists as I've only seen beautiful work come out of there. Their Instagram account is also great. read more

Well almost $400 later and I am sitting at home with orange hair instead of the blond highlights I asked for. I said something in the salon but was told it was the lighting in the salon. I had to fly home the next day or I may have gone back to try to get this fixed. They also put a ton of toner to try to cover this and it gets more orange the more I wash it. The hair cut was decent. I went to Julia for the whole service. Also I would not go on a Saturday it is a mad house totally packed with the loudest music, you can not even talk. It took 5 hrs from the time I got there to get my beautiful orange hair. I would say if you are going here to see one of the brothers for a hair cut and blow dry than it may be worth it, if not skip this place especially on a weekend! read more
