I had a great blowout with Ninoska. However, the salon has moved and is no longer at the address 200 S. Biscayne Blvd. as is listed in the yelp description. Nobody answered the phone when I called to find out where they had moved to which is one block west across from Whole Foods. The salon was empty, and this may be the reason. I had been going to Studio-D Brickell and thought I try Leelou because you should always have more than one spot for hair right?! I went for a hair cut, just a clean up and walked out feeling like a new person. Thiago, the hair stylist took his time with my hair and recommended I get a gloss for my grays to blend in because I don't get my hair colored. I didn't even know about gloss until Thiago recommended it to me. Then he told me that shorter hair would look better with the shape of my face instead of the layers I had. He cut and styled my hair after and oh my goodness, I don't know who was the person looking back at me in the mirror. My hair looked healthier, I looked younger and I really felt better. Stay away. DO NOT sign a contract! I give good reviews when earned and bad when deserved. I can't state it strongly enough, stay away from LeeLou Salon in Downtown Miami, owners are very rude, mani-pedis are subpar, and while they say they come with a massage, they do not. It is very unethical for a business to have your credit card on file and keep charging you after you've notified them via email as well as a phone call, with email confirmation of no more charges, and surprise another charge. I have the email proof. I called to cancel the 6 month contract, on the very same day I had been charged for a 7th time, I spoke to the husband, who was very rude (Mr. Rude Owner). I did as he said and emailed to cancel service. Not only did they not refund but they charged me again the following month for an 8th time. I called again and spoke to Mrs. Rude Owner this time. She stated she would only refund this current month even though I was now owed 2 months, with current charge. Then there is Mrs. Rude owner, while attending to your manicure, at your scheduled appointment, she will excuse herself to attend to business matters, or attend to interruptions by Mr. Rude Owner, so your lunch hour manicure will run much longer than expected while they attend to business matters during YOUR scheduled appointment. I've been to many salons in my life, never one so poorly run. There was another manicurist, nice lady, I asked her on one visit if AC could be adjusted as I was very warm. She told me yes it always runs a little warm here, but the owners are cheap and don't like to adjust the AC. So there I sat in a puddle of sweat getting my manicure. Now on to the pedis, worse one I've ever received. My feet were so dried out after 1st pedicure, something I've never experienced in many years of pedicures. In the salons I'm used to patronizing, they offer a foot and leg massage, LeeLou says they offer that here, but touching my feet while giving me a pedicure is just a pedicure, not a pedicure and massage. Learn from my horrible experience and head for another Salon, because at LeeLou, your appointments will be interrupted, made to sit in your own sweat, and be charged when you should not be. I've been a hardcore nail biter and I'm not easy on my hands; Marda's NextGen manicures last me, and they have helped rehab my nails in a surprisingly short amount of time! I'm really happy with the results, her suggestions for taking care of them and her meticulous artistry! I'm a huge fan of this great little spot too. It's like an oasis in one of the most bustling parts of the Downtown/Brickell corridor. I'm glad I found LeeLou *UPDATE* I would be remiss if I didn't post my nail-grow-out project update! One word: trash. They don't provide the proper tools to their nail techs so the poor woman was trying to remove my gel/acrylics with a nail file. I ended up getting charged $75 for a regular manicure and pedicure because I didn't want to put dip over the bits of acrylic that were left on my nails. I'm a Miami native, and this is my absolute favorite salon in Miami! The manicures and pedicures are always performed so quickly and the job lasts for such a long time. (Nancy is the best). And Betsy does a fantastic job with eyebrows and offers a fabulous selection of tailored facials. My coworkers have all had their hair cut and styled there, and it always looks great. Everyone is friendly and sweet. The place is so clean and has so much natural lighting. It really is a tranquil oasis in a frenzy of otherwise mediocre salons throughout Brickell and Downtown Miami. He didn't bother to tell me that I would still be charged even if I couldn't make it to the salon for those health and safety reasons. After calling and speaking to the extremely rude and unprofessional man on the other end, he claimed that that offer did not exist and I had to walk him through how I found it on the website. He argued and was very rude over the phone and refused to honor the deal after clearly seeing that it was on his website and then stated that the deal was for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. So he claimed that the offer went from not existing to misleading advertising. He did not even make any apology for the mistake. I called to make an appointment to get a dip manicure. When I arrived they only had a few dip colors available, less than 10. I was hesitant about doing it because I found it extremely odd that they would have such a small variety being that it looked like a fancy salon. Dip polish so popular that most salons carry a wide selection. While I sat there talking to the tech she confesses that they really don't specialize in dip but mainly gel polish. It's been 1 week since I had my nails done with a beautiful gel French manicure. I had them done in gel because I was told they would last at least 2 weeks. I'm updating my original review with new pictures. My nails started to peel yesterday. My nails lasted exactly 1 week. While my manicure was nice. It's certainly not worth the money you will spend getting them done in this salon. Update: 5.25.17. After writing my review I received a message from LeeLou's owner apologizing for my experience and I received an invitation to visit again. First off, I give kudos to the owner for the invite and handling the situation professionally. I wasn't able to visit right away as I had bien my nails done somewhere else. Once it was time to redo my gels I went back. Again, the service is spectacular. My nail technician offered me tea and water which was great and was perfect for my 3:00 caffeine fix. My nails came out beautifully. Now, the biggest part of my update, yes they latest! They latest exactly two weeks thus making the price and quality of service a bit mite sustainable. If I can't get a regular appointment with my manicurist, I most definitely well be visiting LeeLou. I now am convinced thier services are worth the price. read more

Trying to grow out my last bad haircut finally got the best of me. In need of a last minute makeover before a holiday party, I called Saturday to book a haircut for Monday, sort of last minute. The gentleman who answers the phone at the reception is always super friendly, with a charming French accent. Blindly booking an appointment with a new hairstylist for a whole new look was brave and could have gone really, really wrong, as it has many times before. I still don't know what possessed me. Thankfully, Jennifer, my stylist got me the exact haircut I had envisioned. Finally, someone who LISTENS. She really took the time paging through all the pinned photos on my smartphone, talking things over, making sure we were both on the same page. I couldn't have hoped for a better result. My new undercut is awesome and I've gotten a ton of compliments over the past few days. The sole reason for 4 and not 5 stars is the pricing. $100 for a cut isn't totally unreasonable, especially for a great cut, but most salons charge in the $70 to $90 range. Well, I suppose $30 more is the price I shall pay for the hair I want. read more

Sauna did my up do and curls one night it held better than the stylist at the Bellagio of Las Vegas. Linda is the best for nails & pedicures . She also does lashes , massages , waxing, and facials . The owner is extra accommodating, as you enter the salon they offer water teas wine. I'm a huge tea fan and they have every flavor imaginable . The ambience is the best part aside from the energy. I have to give a review. I came with a big hair problem caused by another salon in Miami. I entered Leelou Salon with damaged red color hair. I asked if someone at LeeLou could help me. The receptionist told me they were up for the challenge. Fiona was the stylist assigned to fixing my hair color. She was fabulous! She patiently described what she would do to get my original hair color back. The experience was great! Fiona was able to fix my hair color, and give me a beautiful new cut and blow out. I felt so much better. Now I am a loyal client. I joined the hair club and I am able to get my roots done at the end of each month at a reasonable rate. The salon is very clean and beautifully decorated. Leelou follows the CDC recommendations. I highly recommend this salon. Very professional. read more

I don't even know where to start with this salon. My skin was the worst it has EVER been and I felt so lost as to what to do with it. My dermatologist wanted to put me on Accutane, but I met Betsy shortly after and she said to give her 6 months before I make any decisions. This woman completely changed my face in 6 months. Not only did she make it beautiful, clear and bright but it's better then it has EVER been in my 31 years. For the first time in my life, I am comfortable being make up free and I didn't have to take extreme measures to get there! Her husband is incredibly friendly and helpful, and everyone I have encountered since going there has been professional and very friendly. I made an appointment over the phone and the manager did not mention anything about cancelation fees and that any cancellations have to happen 24 hours before the appointment otherwise they charge your card. I have been debating writing this review for the past year, but I cannot get over the HORRIBLE experience I had in this salon. I have been to the salon previously with a stylist that unfortunately moved away and was very pleased with the work and treatment I received at that time.....HOWEVER over a year ago I went in again and have been suffering with the consequences since. I sprayed some temporary hair color in my hair for Halloween and some of the color did not wash out. I came in at 10am to have just the ends of my hair that had the dye, corrected to my regular color. I left at 10:30pm with highlighter yellow hair!!!!! The stylist was a new one from NY and I was promised he was capable of doing this fairly easy task. He left my hair in bleach for OVER 6/7 hours and I still left with the original dye in some parts of my hair. I had an interview the next day and was EMBARRASSED with the state of my hair and unrecognizable to my friends and family. The owner was VERY UNpleasant, not apologetic and frankly did not seem to care. She kept trying to convince me that everything looked fantastic, she did not once apologize and could not understand why after sitting in a salon chair of over 10 hours to have just the ends of my hair dyed I was upset with leaving with a whole head of damaged YELLOW/ORANGE hair. In addition the owner still was pushing to charge me OVER $300, she only seemed to care about her money and completely disregarded the experience I had or how damaged, over processed and completely ruined my hair was. While I was on the chair other stylists kept coming to see WHY I had been sitting there for hours and commenting to my stylist. My hair was left BEYOND damaged and over a year later I have spent hundreds of dollars on treatments to get my hair healthy again. It went through a breaking phase and the texture is frizzy, not soft, and does not curl like it naturally did. I am also left with half the amount of hair I originally had. I walked in with healthy, curly, beautifully balayaged hair and left with hair that was all completely yellow (not blonde, yellow!) with orange/pink in some parts. I hardly ever write reviews, but I think it is worthy to share my experience with this salon. I went there 3 weeks ago and it was good overall, a little bit pricey but I a was ok with it because it is walking distance from my place and I was satisfied with the results. I made a second appointment with them and had to cancel an hour before and told the owner that I was willing to accept any day and time they had available to reschedule. There is a storm alert and it's been raining heavily and very windy, and since I don't own a car, I thought it was not advisable to walk over there under this weather. The owner snapped at me and was very rude. He told me that he was going to bill me for the services, though he had never told me before about their 24 hour cancellation policy. Please note that I had made this appointment less than 24 hours prior. I felt bad for the whole situation because I'm aware how hard it is to maintain a business during this difficult time and I texted him to express him so. He continued to be very rude. I finally told him to take good care of the clients that he already has, because if he treats his customers the way he treated me, I doubted he would get new ones. read more

I arrived at LeeLou at 10:45 AM to beat a morning rush when they opened at 11:00 AM (Monday). Writing this review outside their entrance, 15 minutes past the hour, the lights are still off and no one had arrived to open the salon. The LeeLou website says the doors open at 11:00 AM on Monday. Google says they open at 10:00 AM. Yelp says they open at 12:00 PM. It doesn't help that when calling LeeLou, the voicemail claims to be full or not configured. While I'm not sure what the actual answer is, I know that the confusion and delay are unacceptable and that a merchant's website ought to be authoritative. I'm hopeful to update this review after experiencing the highly-reviewed service at LeeLou, but until I can get in the door, that may just not be possible. read more

I started getting facials at Leelou a few months ago...I go get facials there once every 3-4 weeks. I must say my face has improved dramatically! People are giving me compliments. I have a lot of hormonal acne and really tough blackheads, Betsy is a magician and always gives me a fantastic facial every time I go. She tailors the facial to what your face needs that day, it's completely customized to your skin. Prices are great, which is shocking because it's in a very chic location and the staff is so friendly- I always look forward to going. I also get mani/pedis here. They have every single color of CND vinylux, The nail polish lasts at least one full week! Highly recommended, plus it's just a short walk from Brickell and parking is validated! :) read more

I have found my new nail salon! After wondering around downtown Miami for a good nail salon for lunch time manis, I finally stumbled into Julen Farel. Only a couple blocks from my office, I kick myself for not coming in here sooner. The salon is beautiful, clean and well organized. The staff is very attentive and sweet. And the manis...FANTASTIC! Nancy and Linda are so helpful and Linda gives THE BEST hand massages and forces you to relax and not think about work while you are sitting at her table. Great place! I've tried many salons in Miami and have found few that provide such personalized and friendly services. Being that it's Saturday, I knew it'd be difficult to find a last minute appointment for mani/pedi and blow dry. After calling a few local salons and getting turned down, I called LeeLou and spoke to Gwen who offered to squeeze one in for me. Luckily there was a cancellation and he was able to get me in even sooner! I was surprised to find the place a little empty, but I have to say that the service was great. Everyone was so attentive! I loved the friendliness of the salon staff. I highly recommend Nancy for nails and Zana for hair. Gwen is awesome, he's passionate about his salon and you can tell once you talk to him.
