i felt ripped offed so ripped offed off 39.99$ per person for 1 trip where you get 1 minute of flying under an air tube and you get to do it once. now if that was it that would be great but that's not all. they had many TVs with videos of people doing cool things like walking on the glass walls or doing a flip or going up and down, but they don't tell you that since your "new" you have to just float kind of lame and some time they will even just hold u most of the time. and if you want to do flips you have to go mutable times paying each time with it being 399$ for 10 times. as someone who went with their family i feel ripped off and sure you feel amazing in the moment but a bit after that me and my family just felt kind of ripped off. and my kids where kind of mad that they didn't even get to do it alone and that they had to be kind of held under one of the instructor's arm pits. also, they kept telling me to have my legs Stright but I kind of can't when the air is pushing me at 150 mph. very lame felt ripped off me and my family not going again any time soon and probably a good waste of 160$ ): read more

When I walked out of this place, I probably would've given it 4 stars. However, in hindsight I can't say its worth the price. Two flyers cost me $140 plus the upsell at the door of another $20 to fly a little higher. How can you pass that up? It should be included in the basic price. The employees were all super friendly. Our instructor Curtis was top notch. The flying is not as easy as it looks. You will bang into the walls, drool and have watery eyes. I guess that's a thrill? Maybe a bit, but I wasn't overwhelmed. My guess is this place doesn't get a ton of repeat business. read more

Okay, but not a thrilling adventure rush. Umm so this is basically floating in a wind tunnel, it's not sky diving. We arrived early and the check in process is pretty simple. Everyone there was extremely nice! As we sat and watched others, it looked crazy and hard. The instructor was all over all of the people trying to keep them "flying" throughout their 60 seconds or 120 seconds. It looked hard and I was nervous! Then finally we were called to watch the 4.5 min training movie and to go over hand signals. All really well explained, and they want you to have a great time. It's nice they have lockers to store your stuff while flying. For the gear they give you a jumpsuit (now I know why they call it that!), a helmet, goggles, and ear plugs. We didn't upgrade the helmet, as there is literally no need to spend another $10 on this. Once dressed you walk into a sealed room the leads to the tunnel and watch each other fly. I was getting more nervous trying to remember the hand signals, but hey it's literally 2 min total! So for my 1st 60 sec fly, I did what they said and was flying pretty easily. After about 15-20 sec, I was bored! Once you get the hang of it, it's like okay, I'm hovering in a big wind tunnel maybe 1-2 feet off the ground - scary- not! Then it's over until the next round. Before the next round the instructors come over to hard sell you in and extra $10/person to do a high flight ( 8 fast high). I declined as I was bored and 69 sec was enough. Once I said no, they bugged me literally 7-10 times to try to upgrade to this option - snoozer! It was a different type of night for hubby & me, but prob won't go back. read more

Took my husband for his birthday last year. He LOVED it. Me...not so much. LOL! I arched my back waaay too much and I had a hard time leaving the wind tunnel. Our flyer was very patient and helpful though. All desk staff was very professional. Will probably take the kids soon. Gave 4 stars because it was a bit pricey. read more

My daughter and I were walking thru Costco and saw the ifly demo and she said cool. I thought I could just take her for her belated birthday present but then she said she wanted her cousins to go. Long story short I ended up buying 12 $39.99 cards since normally its $69.99 for the 2 min flights plus video per person. Making the reservations was super easy and I was able to make 2 sets of reservations for 6 people each in successive groups. When we got there, the registration was very efficient and fast. Then it was just time to wait for our 15 min class to start. When we were called for the class, we had a guy named Spencer as the instructor and the training video was broken but he was able to energetically give us the instructions and made it fun. Then we got suited up and the suits and helmets were fairly clean. It did not feel gross to put them on unlike some other events I've been with suits to wear. If you go, try to request for him. We watched 3 different instructors and he seemed the most energetic and active. I also liked him because he let all of us pretty much do solos with just hanging on to us a little. Our other group had a good instructor too but he didn't seem as much fun. Initially I didn't pay the extra $10 per person to fly higher but eventually I paid for it since I was already spending the money and it didn't make sense to cheap out at that point. I'm so glad I spent the extra $10 as flying higher was so much more fun. I have already skydived at Skydive Chicago and besides the initial free fall from the plane, this felt exactly the same. Although you don't get the exhilirating feeling of the earth getting closer and closer but it's close enough. All of us loved it. We had a group of kids ranging from 4 yrs old to 13 yrs old and also 4 adults who joined. We were a little worried of the 4 year old but the instructor held onto her the whole time and she had a blast. Make sure to take your cameras and video and have someone tag along to take pics and video because it's a clear glass tube and the viewing area puts them right in front to take great shots. My nieces and nephews and most importantly my daughter loved it and couldn't rave enough about it. Especially since Spencer let the adults and older kids do solos and didn't hold onto us the whole time. I thought I was done spending until we got downstairs and the kiddos wanted shirts and sweatshirts and kaboom more spending. All in all over $700 later for roughly 24 mins of flying time but I'm still giving it 5 stars as everyone should experience this at least once and if you can stomach it the real skydiving at least once in your life. Get the gift cards from Costco as it's a pretty good deal. Ask for Spencer if you can to get a better instructor. Pay the extra $10 to fly higher. Finally don't worry about the money or else you'll cry if you dwell on it :) read more

Went here for a work event and the staff was wonderful. There were four instructors on staff, but it dealt with Dave and he was amazing. I had a bit of a freak out moment, but he got me back in and even took me on a high fly!!!!! Do Dave if you happen to see this thank you again and I would definitely come back if you were my instructor!!!! read more

So after I posted my review I was contacted by the operations manager on March 26th who apologized for the technical issues with their system. She blamed it on their company's rapid growth. She also asked that I provide her with some details about what I wore for my flight so that she could make another attempt to find the missing video and I obliged. Almost a month has gone by and no response. No follow up, like "we're still looking into this" or "sorry we lost the video". Nothing. Save your money and wait for the weather to warm up so you can go to 6 Flags. Same thrills without the hokey service. read more

I wanted to visit iFly for a while now, and am so glad I did! I took my nieces, aged 7 and 11, for a fun evening out. The check-in process went smoothly and all the employees at the front desk were very friendly and knowledgeable. They explained the process from start to finish to put your mind immediately at ease. Once we were registered and got our wrist bands, we headed upstairs and waited for our flight group to be called. At that time, we met our instructor, Nick. He asked us to huddle up and follow him into the classroom for a 5 minute instructional video. Once in the classroom, you review a few crucial hand signals and mock positioning to know how to position your body once you enter the wind tunnel. He prepares both the kids and adults and gave slightly different instructions to each (the only difference is the kids are instructed to keep their legs straight, adults have a slight bend). The classroom session lasted about ten minutes total and you then head to the gear desk to get your jumpsuit, helmet, goggles and ear plugs. We upgraded our helmets so we didn't need goggles. My niece wears glasses, so we thought this would be more comfortable. A few minutes later, our flight group was ready. Nick lined us up and led us to the bench. By this time I was pretty nervous, but my nieces were cool as cucumbers and excited to go. Once it was my turn, I stepped into the tunnel and the wind quickly lifts you. The key is to surrender and relax. Chin up, arms / hands eye level, legs are pretty straight with a slight bend. I was lucky, it felt pretty natural to me right away. Nick made a couple of slight tweaks to my form and position, before I knew it, I was comfortable and flying with ease! There's no feeling of falling whatsoever. In that first flight, he spun me a bit which was a blast. Getting out of the tube was strange, but you just sort of jump out. I was hooked after that first minute and very excited for the second flight. At the end of everyone's first flight, Nick encouraged us to jump into the tube, like you're diving into a pool, so I went for it. He was right there to stabilize me and I again found my groove. We paid for the high flight and I'm so glad we did. You have a couple of loops on your jump suit, so the instructor will grab hold and guide you up, down and all around the tunnel. It was smooth, exciting and totally addicting! Before the experience ends, the instructor does a solo flight and shows off all their tricks. It was incredible, I can only describe it is Spider man like. He flipped, walked upside down along the inside of the tube, flew up and down with the greatest of ease, and exited the tube backwards landing smoothly on the ground. It was incredible! My nieces and I all left with huge smiles on our face, a great memory and a strong desire to return. I'm planning to go back soon! When you're done, tip your instructor, they deserve it and make the experience fun for all. All I can say is go for it, you'll be happy you did! Happy flying! read more

My wife and I had always talked about trying the Indoor skydiving experience. I was excited to discover they had built two locations in the Chicago land area. I purchased the tickets at Costco for two one minute flights and a free video clip, included with each flight. I called the Naperville location to inquire about reservations and to find out other information about the flights. Stephanie was very courteous and took the time to explain the process and what to expect at check in. We also opted for the "High Flight " experience at the end of the second minute, which was "Awesome". Our instructor, David M. was very personable and entertaining in explaining the video, hand signals and body position. He took the time to answer any questions and ease any nerves you might be feeling before you go into the tunnel. Being our first time, we did not know what to expect, but once we got into the tunnel and had the right body position to stay afloat, hands on were minimal. David M. allowed us to float around on our own, once we got the hang of it (no pun intended). The whole experience was great, we would definitely do it again and would request David as our instructor again. read more

Awesome! Do it do it do it. Not sure if you should do it? Um, DO IT! My boyfriend and I went Sunday afternoon and had so much fun. Also, our instructor was Spencer and I highly recommend him; he's great! He spins you like crazy and is hilarious. read more

Lots of fun for all ages. Went as a group outing with my boyfriends family. Awesome staff who care about your safety and are super encouraging and nice. The only reason why I give this place four instead of five stars is because my entire body was very sore for two days following it- this may also have to do with previous health problems so I don't blame ifly. read more

Cool if you are looking to try something new- a bit expensive so shop around for a discount or grab tickets at Costco.

This was a very cool experience, and it made me want to try skydiving. My 4 year old daughter and I did this, and my only complaint was that I wish we were given helmets with face protection because all that air in our faces really threw us off. She was kind of scared and uncomfortable throughout the experience. You can't focus on what you're doing from all the air, and it's a bit hard to breathe. Otherwise, it was fun and very different. read more

Great experience overall. Came here for a corporate event with 40 people and they were able to accommodate us pretty well. The only thing I have to complain about is the woman who was helping me behind the counter. The first time I went I was given a blue jump suit and the second time I went I was given a red jump suit. I asked why I have a different color and that this one was really baggy. The woman rudely looked at me and said, "well do you want to look sexy or do you want to fly better?" I don't care how many times she's probably been told that the suit doesn't fit right but to assume that I wanted to look good just sounds ridiculous. I'm in a wind tunnel with goggles in my face. Looking sexy is not an option. I'm more concerned about getting hit in the face with my baggy jump suit. #justsayin read more

Took my sister here today on a whim and we had such a good time. The lady at the desk downstairs was super nice and friendly. We pretty much had the place to ourselves and that was awesome. Henry our instructor was super fun and friendly. Highly recommend him Can't wait to go back and learn some new moves ! read more

We went to two Abilities Night events with our Down Syndrome daughter. It is an event for children and adults with special needs. It's the best time! The staff treated each participant with tremendous kindness and professionalism. Our daughter's tentative look soon was replaced with confidence and joy after her first flight. We went back a second time with one of her friends and she can't wait to do it again, too. What really stood out though, was how the staff handled the 3 wheelchair participants. The staff was simply awesome! Those kids were the highlight of the event, they're smiling faces were so fun to watch. I cannot say enough about how the staff and the company we're respectful and kind to the participants. Thank you so much. read more

Went on 1/28 with a party of 12 for a family friend's 50th birthday, it was amazing. Pros: Clean, friendly, professional, fun! Cons: I can't afford to do it often. read more

Instructor Justin H was excellent!! Had a great time, will be back. He was very helpful and gave me great tips on improving.

This was an awesome experience with my sons-in-law. It was fun and with the simple instructions, it was easy enough to enjoy the experience. And at no point, did I ever feel unsafe. I plan to go back again! There were two girls in our group about 5 and 7 who had a blast. read more

So much fun! Amazing instructors! Go there soon to get a discount for your next flight, after your initial flight!

Our group of three went to iFly for the first time and had a great experience. They were on time and explained everything perfectly. I thought 1 min sessions seemed really short, but once you get inside it's a much different experience. I highly recommend paying the few extra dollars to have them take you to the top on your last session. Our instructor Andrew (Sid) made the whole experience enjoyable. He was very patient, helpful, and had an excellent sense of humor! We had a great time! read more

Bought a family pack for my husband's birthday....from the initial phone call to get some information to the flight and afterward, this was an amazing experience. Santiago was knowledgable and kind. The checkin process was fast and the short class was also good. Our flight leader, Daniel, made the experience enjoyable for everyone. From my six year old nephew, who Daniel took care of even when he started to get scared, to my 70 year old dad who also flew. It was better than expected and we plan on coming back soon. Great facility, plenty of parking, and amazing staff! read more

I was trying to figure out a good way to commemorate my 50th birthday. After hearing about the experience that my pastor had here, I decided that was what I wanted to do. I called and spoke to a representative who confirmed that I would be able to fly even though I am in a wheelchair. They answered all of my questions and I scheduled the appointment. The check in process was very easy. All of the staff was very professional and friendly. The two gentlemen that help me with the flight we're very patient, friendly and professional. They help me get into the jumpsuit and we're very supportive about the flight. It was an awesome experience! I would definitely recommend it to anybody that has any interest in doing it. I felt safe the whole time. It was a lot of fun but a little scary at the same time. I would suggest if you were doing it for your birthday to register ahead of time. When my birthday came around, I was emailed a coupon for a high flight. That cost $10 extra.. The only down side that I can think of is that they didn't give me any information about returning but they did tell my caregiver the information for her own use. Otherwise, it was awesome! I'm so glad that I did it read more

Will Never Go Back Again! I brought my daughter and a couple of her friends. For my daughter this was her second flight. The first visit was at the Rosemont location. On the second visit we went to NAPERVILLE (because it was closer). Okay here are the pros and cons: PROS: 1)The kids REALLY enjoyed the flight. CONS: (This is a long list!) 1) IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM DON'T EXPECT TO RECEIVE ANY SORT OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had problems booking the flight online so I called the Naperville location twice. I left a message since the recording did not allow you to stay on hold. I never received a call back. I finally was able to book flight online after several attempts. When we arrived I addressed this with Celina Escamilla (customer service shift supervisor) and was told they receive over 200 calls a day and can not return all of the calls. 2) EXPECT TO PAY MORE MONEY WHEN YOU ARRIVE. When you arrive they try to sell you on upgrades. If you want upgraded helmet it's $10. I'm not sure if they work on commission but they are relentless. Telling you how THEY do not use the other helmets and how it is not as enjoyable without upgraded the helmet. DO NOT listen, my daughter used basic helmets twice and they work fine. You also find out when you arrive that it will cost you $10 to go up in the wind tunnel with the instructor. They really get you on this one because you have already paid so much money and you want your child to get the full experience so you end up paying the extra money. It is still worth paying the money but one thing they do not tell you is exactly how this works. You will have two 60 second flights. The first flight is just down low in the tunnel. During the second flight the instructor goes up higher in the tunnel with you but this is for less then 30 seconds. I still think it was worth it but they do not explain this to you when you buy it. 3) NAPERVILLE STAFF NOT VERY HELPFUL AND DISORGINAIZED . When the flight was finished we stood around waiting for someone to helps us get the videos and photos emailed to us. Several staff members were just standing around doing nothing and we still had to wait quit a while for help. Somehow the videos had the wrong names attached to them so it took some time to do this. If you are not careful you will email a random persons flight video to yourself. You would think they would email the videos and photos to you automatically but this is not the case. If you want them you have get on the computer and do it yourself before you leave. I was also told they would get flight certificates. Since they are kids they really wanted them but through all the chaos we forgot to ask for them. No way to call them so they could be mailed since they do not answer the phones or return calls. You would think with so much staff they would just hand these out after the flight. 4) FLIGHT IS 2 MINUTES. I knew this going in but just so you are aware how this works .....You are pulled into the Tunnel with the timer already going and you are pulled out of the tunnel as your 60 second time expires. They make sure from start to finish you are not in the wind tunnel (including entering and exiting) for more then a minute. I noticed sometimes people were pulled out with still seconds to spare. When you are only in the tunnel for a 60 seconds at a time they should not pull you out seconds early. If you decide time was very short (which you will), they do offer to take you in for another 60 seconds for an additional $20 charge. 5) ARRIVE 1 HOUR EARLY. They tell you to arrive 1 hour prior to flight so be prepared to wait around. It is a lot of standing around, looking around, and waiting. I think they might do this so they have more time to sell you on upgrades (going up high $10, Extra minute in tunnel $20, upgraded helmet $10, plus they have items for sale). 6) AGAIN BACK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE: Do not expect to get anywhere is you have a problem. Celina Escamilla (Shift Supervisor) was the only person I could talk to at the Naperville location and she didn't seem to care. Had a very poor attitude and zero customer service skills. It was a waste of time speaking to her. If anything she will make you more frustrated with her attitude. If you want to talk to anyone else you are referred to the District Manager (Kevin Wolsko) but you are only given an email address to communicate with him. I did reach out to Kevin via email explaining my issues but did not receive and email or call. IN THE END if you still decide to go I would tell you to go to the Rosemont location. For what you will be spending you should at least get good customer service. Rosemont staff was VERY helpful and pleasant during our first visit. read more

My purpose in writing this review is to warn parents with younger children to use considerable caution before allowing your child to participate in a birthday party/event here. The sky-diving is clearly an intense experience. My 8-year-old attended a party in which many of the girls freaked out/cried at some point, or refused to try it. That is too much money to spend unless you are SURE everyone wants to be involved, and not a positive experience for the birthday child to have a lot of unhappy friends. We also had an incredibly scary situation with my daughter on her second flight. After "pinky-promising" my daughter immediately before she entered the tube that he would not let go of her, the instructor decided to let go of her anyway, which caused her to flinch, and this slight movement sent her shooting up into the air BY HERSELF. I have no words to describe how frightening this was for everyone. We were all screaming outside of the tube. The instructor could not reach her right away, so she was flipped facing upwards and flailing around alone. The staff made no attempt to apologize after the incident, and the instructor did not even leave the tube to speak to us. The general manager was apologetic when I contacted him later, but did tell me that this type of incident does happen (i.e. someone has to be rescued by the instructor). While an adult or teen can probably handle it, this was VERY scary for my child. Had I known that an instructor losing control of her was a possibility, I would not have allowed her to participate... read more

Went with a friend and her 11-year-old grandson yesterday to iFLY Naperville for his first time experience. He loved it! His instructor Justin was attentive and watched him carefully so that he would be safe. All of the staff we encountered were courteous and did a great job in answering questions and meeting our needs. read more

I went to IFly in Naperville on December 2nd with my younger son and grandson. Each of us was signed up for 4 one minute sessions or 2 double (2 minute) sessions. We all chose the 2 double sessions. My older son took videos of our sessions. The experience was pretty neat. The problem was when we got home and reviewed the videos including the ones that were purchased from IFly they showed that ALL the sessions were only one minute long. Instead of a total of 12 minutes we only got 6 minutes. Error or ripoff?? read more

Beyond fun! My husband and I are 58 and 60 we would do it again in a heartbeat! We laughed from take-off to landing. From the reception desk to the instructor, the staff was terrific. They explained the Sky diving process from beginning to end and answered any questions we asked. Kristin was our instructor and she made the experience amazing! We laughed and giggled throughout the "flight". Never a scary moment. Kristin had given us both the confidence that all would go well and it did! Do not forget to buy the High Flight.
