Okay - I'm not sure what happened to this place. I used them the past two summers to rent chairs for graduation parties, and they were great. Reasonably priced, very responsive. I picked up the chairs and the warehouse guys helped load them into my car, unload, etc. But then recently, I inquired about renting tables, chairs and linens for a bridal shower. First, their contact us form on their website wasn't working - some issue with the captcha. So I tried emailing with my request and questions about table options. I waited for days, and then I got an anonymous text with a couple of questions in return. So I'd respond, and then days would go by where I wouldn't hear anything again. I called several times and left messages, then I got another text a couple of days later. Finally, I got a text with just a price tag - no itemized breakdown of costs, no responses to my questions about table sizes, nothing. I left another message, asking for an itemized quote and haven't heard back. Its so surprising, considering how responsive and professional they were the past two summers when I rented from them. Itemized contracts, detailed terms. everything you would expect. This time there was none of that. Did they lose their sales staff? Are they going out of business? read more

These people are so unprofessional. I reserved an inflatable online, the price was clearly stated for the inflatable mechanical bull which also stated it came with the mechanical bull and an attendant. The next day I was contacted by the business stating that they could not fulfill this order because it was a typo on their website for an incorrect price. Not only did they not honor this request due to their own fault but they refused to work with me to give me a good deal. I have since reported them to the Bureau of Better Businesses due to false advertising. They have horrible customer service and poor social skills. They play the victim and will do anything to avoid doing the right thing by the customer. The manager David was unprofessional when I confronted him about not honoring the deal. He stated that I was trying to "scam them." Please do yourself a favor and avoid these horrible unprofessional people and go with Kidz Bouncing Inc - they are so easy to work with, flexible and SO MUCH more affordable. read more

I needed a ping pong table for an outdoor birthday, and this was such an easy business to work with! They were responsive, and they were able to work with me on the delivery time. I am extremely satisfied with the service for our rental. I rented a combo inflatable for our son's 3rd birthday & hubs birthday party. I also rented tables and chairs for the party. We received a confirmation call the day before telling us what time delivery would be - sometime around 7am. They weren't kidding! Hubs woke up at 6:45am and they were already in our driveway waiting. Delivery was smooth, setup of the inflatable went well. We had to set up our own tables and chairs - not a big deal. They showed up promptly at 8pm to pick everything up (boooo hooooo). Can't wait for our party next year! read more

I have to say that our photo both at our wedding was probably one of the best things we spent money on. We ordered our photo both through The Fun Ones using a groupon. We got a killer deal, and they were on time and ready to go with a box of props. Our guests had the option of color or black and white photos and every picture they snapped was printed twice for them, and saved on a memory card for me to take home. I personally was given the memory card at the end of the night, and standard for an exhausted bride...totally misplaced it. I called The Fun Ones and they sent us another memory card for a small fee. Eventually I realized that we were missing some pictures on the memory card and I called to inquire, they apologized and realized they had not included my last hour of photos from the photo both. They sent me another memory card without charge...and it had the photos. I would say that despite my loss of the first memory card, and even the mix up with my photos..... The Fun Ones photo booth will beat others price wise, and they absolutely responded to all of my phone calls in a timely manner. I would recommend them for spicing up whatever party you have up your sleeve. read more

Rented table, chairs and tent for a graduation party. Tables were in poor condition. When we went to setup the tent, we realized they had given us the wrong poles hours before the party. We had to go to Ace Hardware to figure out how to make the poles work. I spent $18 extra to make it work. Very frustrating the right poles were not provided and the person that works there refused to reimburse us $18 we spent to make it work. read more

This group was extremely easy to work with. I ordered chairs for my wedding day, and they delivered them right on time and picked the back up at the specified time. I was all set with a great Karaoke machine and less than 24 hours later I got the call that they "had a glitch in the system" and I cannot rent the Karaoke machine because in the time between writing my contract, someone else had rented it! I was unsuccessful the next 2 hours when calling other places wanting to rent a Karaoke machine for my event that was now in two days and discovered that many only offer Karaoke WITH a DJ/MC person avg. $100/hr. Update - I increased my stars from one to three because I was emailed & a message was left on my cell that there was confusion on the day of pick-up vs my event. It ended-up that I could not pick up the Karaoke system the day before (like I was originally told I could) because it was booked for that day, but that I could pick it up the morning OF my event and it was available. I'm rating 3 stars because I feel this situation could have been avoided if proper inquiries (or supervision) where done BEFORE contacting me that what I rented was no longer available. Staff has been consistently polite even when I was frustrated, but I would highly recommend asking to have a contract emailed to make sure all dates are correct (something other companies sent to me as an attachment) to avoid any mishaps. read more

I strongly recommend this company to anyone who needs a rental. They have the best prices, and very professional and helpful staff. Also, I had an experience with them that was unlike anything I've encountered before with a rental company. I was looking to rent a ping pong table, and they worked with me to ensure that delivery and everything would work with my venue, but then Sue from The Fun Ones (who is awesome) remembered that she thought my venue already had a ping pong table in storage, which I could rent far more cheaply and easily from them. Sue went out of her way to contact the venue, checked that they did in fact have a ping pong table I could rent from the venue instead, then gave me the contact information of the facilities manager at my venue who knew everything about it, and advised me that she thought that was my best option. She did all this even though it meant The Fun Ones wouldn't get the profit off of my rental. Very honest business practices and very helpful. read more

HORRIBLE costumer service. I would strongly recommend not using this company. First off, I was given a different (much higher) quote than the website. After I brought it to their attention, they seemed like it was a common problem and without asking anyone, the sales rep honored it. I had to call numerous times regarding pick up and drop off times. The blacklights that were delivered were set out and the delivery men left and we thought the lights were ok and they knew what they were doing. They left by saying if we have a problem with the lights to just switch the 4 buttons on the back. We realized these lights were not blacklights when we brought in blacklight reactive posters, t-shirts, balloons and many other supplies bought specifically for blacklight reactive lights. None of these supplies lit up. After looking more closely we realized all the lights were similar in color but not blacklight. By this time the delivery men left so I called him and his responses were, "I'm already home" and "did you drop them"? WHAT? I called the emergency number because we have folks coming to a GLOW DANCE within 20 minutes and his response was, "huh, sorry". NOW, after speaking with Dave, he ended up sending us a picture that the men took... I can easily see that it has been altered and lighting adjusted. My pictures and those from the Father Daughter Girl Scout Dance look nothing like that at all! Not to mention when I looked in the box I found a light that was never even put out!!! Dave's reponse was, "well, sorry, they said it was all fine when they left... here is 10% from the unused light" :( HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Here is my thought, we (the girl scouts) had nothing to gain by making this complaint. We don't need the money back. It was the point that they did not work properly. The response from the manager was to call the school and talk to the custodian to see if we 'handled' the lights and 'played with them'.... NO JOKE!! Who does that? What adult does that? What manager does that? Sadly I always say, 'A BUSINESS IS ONLY AS GOOD AS ITS BIGGEST PROBLEM' unfortunately, this company failed. We wanted no money, just an I'm sorry. The Fun Ones were hired by a neighbor for a party. As they were packing up, they blocked our driveway and a nearby fire hydrant for 90 minutes with their truck, and ended up dumping soapy water all over our yard. Their lack of consideration for their client's neighbors showed a lack of professionalism, and, in addition, I'm sure that a number of potential new clients (including myself) would never consider them as a result of their behavior in my neighborhood. Unless you want to be in a position where you're trying to justify their actions to your neighbors and guests, I'd suggest you find another company that is more considerate and professional. read more

I was extremely satisfied with the photo booth at my wedding! I loved that they had the option to have it open air or with a privacy drape. I'm not quite sure why this place has above average reviews. I recently rented (at a reasonable cost) a large table and 25 chairs for an office event I held at my workplace. Since I chose the white-on-white chairs, I emphasized that everything needed to be cleaned and presentable. They told me that due to the small size of my order they simply couldn't bother themselves with delivery. Not only I had to leave work early to pick up the order, I also had to deliver the stuff and make sure I was there before 4pm otherwise another charge would be incurred. I had to bleach spay the chairs that had dirt marks all over, and had to scrub off grease from the oldest table I've ever seen! luckily I had thick and long table linens otherwise it would've been an embarrassment to have that table out on display. Another issue; when I asked if they had projector and/or screen available for rent they told me they did for the same cost it would've taken to buy a NEW one! that's simply asinine. Why would anyone want to spend $300 dls to "rent" a projector? Perhaps other services and stuff they have aren't so bad, but from my experience I will NEVER go back to order beat up & dirty stuff from this place. read more

I am very happy with the overall execution of my rental. I rented ten white wedding chairs for my wedding in September. No extra paper work to be filled. It was an easy electronic document to sign, and my sales rep was very helpful to me. They're closed on Sundays, but since we were leaving for our honeymoon the very same evening, they made an exception for us to drop the chairs off on that day and leave them outside the Will Call window. So smooth! They're quite reasonable too. My total bill with tax for those ten chairs was under $20. read more

I was trying to find a couple of lawn games for a corporate picnic and was dismayed at the number of companies that didn't even bother to respond to my inquiry. But I finally landed on The Fun Ones and, within minutes, was able to order what I wanted. The process from start to finish was easy and went exactly as they said it would. The driver called me when he was 30 minutes away, they set up the games within minutes and were on their way. Didn't need to be here when they picked the games up. The popcorn and snowcone machine were perfect for our block party and in extremely clean and working condition when I picked them up. The quality of the games and photo booth were good and the people from The Fun Ones were very accommodating and easy to work with. Do NOT rent from this company. I just rented from big tent events this past weekend for my daughter's 1st birthday party. When they came to setup on Thursday i was told that the tent i requested did not fit properly in my yard and i would have to get a different one that cost $300 more. When i had called Brad (the event manager) the week before i specifically asked him if he needed to come to my property to make sure everything fit he said that they checked google earth and everything seems to be fine. With my party being 2 days away what other choice did i have than to book thru them. I would NEVER recommend this company again. Go with House of Rentals.
