During my time in ideal image I've had botox, juvederm, kybella, ultherapy and laser hair removal. 4 loans taken out and paid for using HCS (now Alli) and never paid any interest! Be up front about your needs your budgets and what your looking for out of a med spa like ideal image and all employees will make sure you will have a good experience. Keep in mind these procedures are not cheap so you need to be prepared to put in the time in money to get the results you desire. I trusted Ideal Image with more than $6,092.56 of my hard-earned money money I spent two full years saving because they promised me "amazing results," "life-changing improvement," and "professional care." Instead, I received misleading information, pressure, and treatments that did not work at all. Laser Hair Removal I completed almost all my sessions. I only had two small sessions left, but the results were almost nonexistent. The hair still grows back nearly the same. Every time I showed them photos proving nothing was improving, they kept telling me to "keep going," instead of acknowledging the problem. Credits Instead of Real Help When I asked about my payments, they said my money was "already used" and that everything was turned into credits in their system. Credits for WHAT? for treatments that had no benefit? for services I never asked for? These credits stay with them, not with me. They trap your money so you can never get it back. Microneedling They convinced me to buy 3 sessions and promised major improvement. The Worst Part: There was no record of my file After I complained and demanded a refund, I contacted HFD, the third-party finance company they use. When I called HFD myself, they confirmed: There is no account affiliated with my name (Sara Majali). This makes it look like I never made any payments at all even though I paid everything in full. This is extremely suspicious, unethical, and feels intentional. "Refunds" That Are NOT Refunds The receipts they gave me list "refunds," but these are NOT real refunds. They are only internal credits inside their own system. I did not receive even $1 back to my bank. Not a single dollar. High Prices, Pressure, and Manipulative Behavior Their prices are extremely high, they push nonstop, and they make you feel obligated to buy things you never wanted. When I asked for my original receipt, they printed a different version to make it seem like nothing wrong happened. No professional or honest business behaves like this. My stubborn fat still there no improvement at all. I should gave gone to SonaBella instead. They take good care of their clients. Did a consult for a coolsculpt package. One targeted area that had bothered me my whole life. Submandibular, or double chin area. They said I was a good confidante me so bought the package. $3000. Got to appointment and got set up would require application on each side of my chin. First one, beep. It loses connection and they can't/won't reapply. Attempt the other side. When I bought my packages (which aren't cheap), the main benefit that was touted was the flexibility, especially because I explained that I'm about 45 minutes - 1 hour away from three of the locations in my area. Over the last 6 months, I've had my appointments rescheduled on me because they've adjusted their schedule. First, it was closing on Sundays. Next, it was closing earlier (at 6 pm) from 9 pm. Finally, at my last appointment, they said they would no longer be scheduling more than one appointment. I will reiterate, I live 45 minutes to an hour from any office and the only time I have available is on the weekends. Believe me, I took time off of work to go to one appointment during the week. It took me over an hour to get there for a 15-MINUTE APPOINTMENT. Let me get this straight, I paid over $5K based on the premise that you were open 7 days a week from 8 am-9 pm and I was assured the flexibility because I lived so far out. Yes, I take some responsibility for putting my faith in that assurance, but the blatant disregard for clients' time is astonishing, not to mention their staff who also have to deal with schedule changes and the irate clientele. I've been coming here for a couple years and scheduling is never easy. Here's my advice. -Don't buy the VIP membership (you won't get in often enough to make it worth it). -Don't buy the laser hair package expecting the same technician (I had around 7). *I know services might be more expensive elsewhere but you get what you pay for and you have more control when you pay treatment by treatment so they can't gouge you all at once.* ^Other businesses don't have you locked into contracts for beauty services like this one. Having all these people locked in and overbooking how many they sign up, squeezes their schedule so tight that you become just another number. They're usually booked months out and very short staffed due to not being able to retain employees. Today's appointment was booked 3 months in advance. When I checked my confirmation text, my appointment had been cancelled...? I immediately tried to call Northgate and their answering machine said to "call back during business hours" BUT it was business hours. I then proceeded to call every location in the area and got the same issue. So then I went to the website and called every number there. Same deal. Tried to use the chat bot... gave me the same message. Commented on Twitter. No one called me back. Finally... after 40 minutes of dialing, I was able to get someone to pick up. They confirmed they did cancel my appointment and gave it to someone else since I didn't click a link before my appointment. Their next availability is an entire month away and they needed me to either sign a contract or put a card on file in order to book again. If this place can't even pick up the phone, why would I leave my credit card in their hands? Why do I have to fill out a contract and prepay so they can cancel me at their discretion and charge me? I don't think so. See I know they can't keep employees... but why do they not want their customers either? If customers don't confirm via your auto text, maybe call them?? Maybe have a voicemail system rather than an answering machine that just makes it seem like your business has been shut down. The issues they are experiencing are corporate decisions while the people themselves are all really pleasant but burn out due to corporate making customers angry. Update 12/2/2021 - I have had 3 laser hair treatments at this location so far, and while the actual treatments go smoothly I have had the TOUGHEST time ever getting a hold of someone via phone. Whether it be for scheduling future appointments, requesting assistance in finding OTC 5% Lidocaine cream locally (which is not possible), or obtaining a prescription for Lidocaine. My call is 100% of the time forwarded to the 1-800# where the customer service person then reaches out to the clinic on the back end and I either get assistance, or have to wait for a call back. Obtaining a prescription for Lidocaine has been a nightmare. I called on a Tuesday 11/30, the Nurse Practitioner said the order was in and gave me the pharmacy phone number and email (which by the way is located in Erie, PA) in case of delays to get an ETA. I called the Pharmacy Thursday 12/2 and they didn't even have an order placed, not even in their pending pile. Not to mention the prescription then has to ship from Pennsylvania? I've received wrinkle relaxing treatments for over 10 years (various products). The administrator injected into a vein near my right temple and caused a nickel sized bruise that's lasted a week. It's been a bother, trying to cover it up. This vein is visible by my husband. Avoiding it should have been a no brainer. My review is based on my experience with laser hair removal as an African American female and an interaction I had on Instagram, with someone who manages the Ideal Image Instagram page. I've had several laser hair removal treatments and saw no results. Due to MY lack of research, I later found out that laser hair removal DOES NOT WORK on dark skin with dark hair, light skin with blonde hair, and red hair. I've heard every excuse about why it may not have worked for me by people who support laser hair removal. I am fully aware that it does work if you have brown or black hair with light skin which is why I gave this place 3 stars and have heard about positive results. I initially was supposed to go to the north gate location, but at the last minute was sent to Tacoma. Predatory business practice. My laser hair removal package (full leg, brazilian, underarms) was a 16 month contract to get all your sessions in ($5000). I bought a lifetime warranty for an additional $250. These offices (since it's a franchise) have sold so many packages that they do not have space to make an appointment for you. Appointment availibility was usually months out. This means that you have to perfectly align with the contract's schedule to get all your sessions in. One of my reschedules from a leg injury was even 16 weeks out. The contract estimates that you get a 6-8 week interval before your next session, contradicting every nurse's recommendation of 10 weeks after my first two sessions. Since they were closed for a while during covid 2020, I had repeatedly checked their website to see if their open. I repeatedly called Ideal Image to schedule an appointment and only managed to get a hold of someone in November 2020. Then the soonest appointment I could get was 6 weeks out. There was a nurse shortage till the last month or two so basically I was shit out of luck for several months at a time. My first nurse at this location was very attentive and acknowledged that appointment times were not long enough for some of the laser hair removal procedures. We didn't necessarily have to rush but it was a tight squeeze, and I don't know how anyone not petite and/or needs more time to breathe etc would finish this kind of treatment in one session. She was the first and only nurse to offer me ice packs. Every other nurse never did and didn't even offer to ice the treated areas as we went until I suggested. The latest nurse isn't as detailed, doesn't even press down on the treated area as she goes, keeps zapping after I've said stop / need a break, and is not familiar with breathing techniques. She just keeps going because you're just another product they're trying to get out of the door. You really only get half of your sessions in if you're lasering large areas (legs) because of their purposefully shit availability. This franchise fleeces you by selling packages that aren't really that cheap (up to 2x the amount you can get elsewhere) and is trying to sell so many packages that they literally have no time to put you in their appointments. My time ran out, I was surprised with a bill, and I had corporate lie to my face that they've only been closed for 2 weeks last year. No one is held accountable for the fact that you the customer cannot get your sessions done in the allotted time because you can't even make an appointment. This was something I had wanted to do for years and finally felt like splurging. I specifically requested the Northgate location and repeatedly mentioned Mondays are my only day off. The sales rep assured me I'd be added to a "VIP scheduling list" over and over, and they would call to book my sessions, ASAP. I didn't hear from anyone that day as promised, (I was anxious to schedule and begin sessions, finishing up by summer), so the next morning I took it upon myself to call Northgate directly to schedule all 6 sessions. A very nice young lady answered the phone and explained to me that Northgate doesn't offer laser hair removal services on Mondays. She told me I could get in at the Tacoma location (which is a little over an hour from my home with no traffic) I told her that wasn't an option, and unfortunately I would need to cancel my agreement. This was around 24 hours after signing the contract. She transferred me to a woman's voicemail where I left a detailed message, (which has still to this day, never been returned) I called several more times, each time given the run around. No direct numbers, no call backs and no returned emails. *I disputed the $1,000 charge with my bank. In November my first payment came out ($182.21) even though I hadn't had a single treatment, had never stepped foot into an Ideal Image and no one had bothered to respond to me or call me back. So I called again, and sent another email. These were also not returned. *I disputed this charge with my bank. December, I was charged $182.21 again. *I disputed this charge with my bank. *Still no call back, no reply. Finally on January 5, 2021 I was able to get the name N___L____, I sent her an email and forwarded my original email from October 2nd. Two days later, January 7, 2021 I FINALLY got my first reply from Ideal Image *3 months and 6 days after signing a contract* N____ explained that the fine print in the contract I signed (which was dozens of pages long, all electronic) explained I will not receive a dime back that they've already collected (down payment of $1,000 + 3 payments of $182.21) She then told me I can use that money towards other services if I wanted to. NO, I DONT WANT OTHER SERVICES!! I wanted laser hair removal. She told me the second I signed that contract I was on the hook for the money, wether services begin or not. I immediately responded via email, and called. I left her a lengthy, detailed, voicemail which has never been returned. And I have gotten ZERO response to my email. I have disputed every automatic withdrawal through my bank, as well as the down payment. Having to do this each month is exhausting, frustrating and infuriating!! Most recently, I received an email letting me know that their last attempt at an automatic withdrawn did not go through, and they wanted me to update my account. So I called. This time I was told "there is NO WAY TO REACH N____ DIRECTLY, SHE IS BASED OUT OF FLORIDA, SORRY." So, I went to their Facebook page and left two comments explaining MY experience and warning other consumers to proceed with caution when financing anything through them..... both comments were removed almost immediately. I am disappointed and upset. I was lied to, bottom line. It's not like I had buyers remorse or changed my mind....what I was promised, wasn't actually possible. I deserve a FULL REFUND and TERMINATION OF MY CONTRACT AT NO COST TO ME WHATSOEVER. Use extreme caution when signing a contract with Ideal Image. If you need a specific day and/or location- call directly and check with them FIRST!! Then decide if signing your life away to a company that has literally no customer service is worth it to you. I found another place two days later that was open Mondays and able to schedule me out for 6 sessions, 6 weeks apart. AND not only was this other place a little less expensive , I even added another area of my body to the list~and I'll even be done just in time for summer. PROCEED WITH CAUTION! read more

My mom went through two sessions of coolsculpting months apart for $7000. It was money badly spent she lost 0 inches, pounds, or whatever metric you want to use. Between the first and second treatments, she lost no weight but was told that the second one would have more results. When she went to her second appointment the technician told her she should have done liposuction because that was more effective and that had worked for her mom. Then at her post-procedure checkup, she was asked if she wanted to go through more treatments, which given that they knew and could see the procedure didn't work is just ridiculous. They said that she had lost inches but had gained weight so she couldn't tell, so maybe doing more of the procedure would magically be effective. On reflection, we feel mislead and that a lot of money and time was wasted on something useless. Honestly if one of their own technicians felt a different procedure would have been more effective I feel strongly that they knew my mom was a bad candidate for coolsculpting and they should have said that rather then take a substantial amount of money for something that was 100% ineffective. read more

I have spent over $9,000 for 6 treatments + 3 touchups on my full legs, full bikini extended, underarms, upper lip and chin. I still have a significant amount of hair growth and have been reaching out to management for several months about extending my treatment and I have yet to hear back from a manager. Every time I call the manager is either on vacation or out of the office. I am promised a return call but it never happens. Not only this but during the course of my treatment, I would show up to my appointments and they would claim to not have me on the schedule and would have zero explanation for it. Service was great, I have no complaints there. My complaint is with how expensive the service is, to not have results. I paid a few thousand for my area, did all 8 with still 70-80% regrowth. Even the tech on my 8th session mentioned how I still had a lot of hair & she would dictate that in my chart so that I would be given a complementary session. Nope, not happening. They won't do that. So I paid for two more sessions(what was I thinking) after my package ended. I still have the same amount of hair after 10SESSIONS! Don't waste your money, go somewhere else! The sales people make the services sound great, but are not truthful. They conned me into purchasing the lifetime guarantee when i first bought my package. Just finished my last treatment, and was not satisfied with the results. They said I need additional treatments. I found out I still get to pay for ongoing services, even with the "lifetime guarantee" I paid for. They now offer a second "lifetime guarantee" I could buy for one free service a year...how about you sell your original package to actually do what it's supposed to? What's with all the extras I pay for when I already spent thousands on the first round. I am quite disappointed and their customer service department is no help. The people who work at this clinic are great. But the lack of availability here is kind of a joke. Why are you even accepting new clients? I bought my cool sculpting package in mid September. They asked if I had anything coming up that I'd want the results for and I said January. That's a good 4 months away and the woman was like "Cool sculpting can take up 6-12 weeks for results, so if we get you in ASAP, you'll be good to go". We did all my measurements and decided that I would need 8 treatments for X amount of money. I'm like "okay great, let's do this". Cross the T's, dot the I's. After the contract is signed, they tell me that their first available time slot isn't until December. So no, I won't see the results in time. I was annoyed, but I already signed the contract, so what other options did I have? They told me to wait a week and call the Mill Creek clinic to see if they had any sooner availability. Mill Creek is about an hour out of the way, but they were able to get me within a week of calling. I drive all the way up there and the clinician tells me that my chart from Northgate is "unclear", so she wants to measure me again. She tells me that they did it wrong at Northgate and I actually need a few more sessions for X amount more money. Naaaaaaahhhhhhh. It already costs an arm and a leg, I'm not paying more because your two clinicians aren't on the same page. I did 6 treatments in my first session, which took about 4 hours. We didn't have time to do the last 2, so they told me to just schedule another session. The last 2 sessions should only take about an hour, so I called the Northgate clinic thinking they'd have something, because its not as long a session and I don't want to have to drive all the way up to Mil Creek again. But nope, still nothing until late December. So unfortunately, I'll be driving back up to Mill Creek. This whole process has been expensive, frustrating and time consuming. I don't recommend the Northgate clinic for cool sculpting unless you're prepared to wait until 2020. read more

UPDATE: I then continued on to get my entire legs done, and again couldn't be happier. Yes it does hurt like HELL even with numbing cream but it's worth it, and by the time you leave you're fine. They were extra patient with me in my first 2 sessions as they took longer than planned due to my low pain tolerance. They then automatically made my appointments as longer to accommodate. I read others had issues scheduling and with the staff being rude, but I haven't had those issues. Scheduling can be challenging but that's why I book out in advance and don't adjust it. But I have never found the staff to be rude. The staff has actually changed a lot since I first started going years ago and some weren't quite as warm and inviting but I didn't find them to be rude, and since that one instance I've had a great experience with the new staff. (I'll admit I've got fair skin and dark hair that takes EXTREMELY well to laser hair removal to the point of at 4 appointments in I have basically nothing to remove.) This clinic has awesome and friendly staff, they're always inviting and friendly! I've had my underarms done and it's been truly one of the BEST decisions! I used to have a 5 o'clock shadow in my underarm area and now I don't! So amazing! Couldn't be happier! read more

Just got my package for laser hair removal for my Brazilian/bikini area and I am beyond excited!!! The lady that did my laser made me feel extremely comfortable and explained thoroughly how to treat and take care of my areas before and between a treatment. I just had my first session this morning and I can't wait to see what happens over the course of my experience. All the ladies including front desk were so welcoming and nice.
