I have been a loyal client of this Medi Spa (Kucumber) for approximately 10 years. During that time, I spent thousands of dollars on services, paid for my treatments, and even referred three new clients because I genuinely believed in the practice. Unfortunately, my experience over the past year completely changed my opinion. During one Botox appointment, I was treated by an injector named Matt instead of my usual injector, Layla. The results were unacceptable. My smile became noticeably crooked, and the tendons in my neck protruded whenever I smiled. When I brought these concerns to the owner's attention, I felt they were dismissed. Rather than acknowledging that the injection/injector technique may have contributed to the outcome, I was told I might simply need a different product, such as Dysport. My concerns about the quality of the injection/injector itself were NEVER meaningfully addressed. After that experience, I made it clear that I only wanted Layla to perform my injections because she consistently provided excellent results. Shortly afterward, Layla left the practice. Before she left, I had prepaid $1,000 to bank future Botox treatments. Once she was no longer with the practice, I requested a refund because I no longer felt confident receiving injections from the remaining injector based on my previous experience. My refund request was denied due to the practice's no-refund policy. While they did offer to let me use the credit toward other services such as facials, that was not what I had purchased the credit for, nor did it address the reason I wanted the refund in the first place--I no longer trusted the injector who would be performing my Botox. What disappointed me most was not simply the policy itself, but the unwillingness to work with a loyal client of 10 years. I believed my long history with the practice, my referrals, and the amount I had spent there would have warranted some flexibility or a customer-focused solution. Instead, I felt the relationship I had built over a decade was valued less than enforcing a $1,000 policy. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I believe prospective clients should know that if your preferred provider leaves and you lose confidence in the remaining staff, you may still be locked into prepaid services with no option for a refund. That experience has permanently changed my opinion of this practice. I have found a different Medi spa and caution prospective customers of Kucumber to be aware that management does not value your relationship if situations go awry. Financial gain is paramount to them coupled w cash flow issues. read more

Trapped into a $12,000 nightmare--watch your budget and CareCredit! I am writing this review 4 years later because it has taken me this long to finally pay off the massive financial burden this business put on me. I came in for simple fillers and explicitly told the receptionist my absolute maximum budget was $2,000.The moment they found out I had a CareCredit card, everything changed. While the injector was actively preparing the products, the receptionist started rapidly spitting out numbers, packages, and information. It happened so fast in a high-pressure environment that I was in total shock and couldn't process what was happening. At checkout, they told me my total was $8,000. I was young, shy, and so overwhelmed that I froze and didn't know how to speak up.To make it worse, because of the massive unexpected balance, I couldn't pay it off before the CareCredit promotional period ended. Even though I never missed a single monthly payment, the deferred interest tacked on an extra $4,000. A routine $2,000 visit cost me $12,000 in total. They completely took advantage of me, and it looks like their high-pressure sales tactics haven't changed. Please be incredibly careful coming here, especially if you have financing. read more

This place fraudulently charged me $1,200. Stay away. They will try to steal your money. I went to Kucumber for 10 sessions of laser. The service and their customer care was good. When I finished the 10-session course, the spa suggested I buy another 10 session course. I said I didn't want to. Two months later, the spa charged my credit card $1,198.50. I noticed the charge when the payment was taken from my checking account a few months later. The spa never reached out to schedule the sessions they charged me for. Stay away. They will try to steal your money. read more

Best medi spa I've been to! From the welcoming staff at the front desk to the well educated service providers, Kukumber Skin Lounge has been the best experience for a range of services. I love how the master esthetician explained what she was doing before, during and after my services. I always feel like they educate me while improving my skin. The Hollywood spectra laser with Iliana had my skin GLOWING immediately after. She is also amazing at microneedling. Highly recommend anyone to this spa. read more

Cindy Hurtado is amazing. She listened to me and my concerns.I highly recommend her. Not only is she attentive I am seeing results.

I really love this place. The staff are always friendly and take time to listen to your "thought process" with explanations. The chemical and laser peels are fantastic. They run specials throughout the year and they are great deals. I bundled on multiple procedures that last throughout the whole year. No complaints and highly recommend. Also, they text reminders so you don't forget your appointments or they give you a call. read more

Kucumber Skin Lounge - Treatment Area - Laser Hair Removal Near Me - Bellevue, Washington

I scheduled my appointment 3 times, and 2 out of the 3 times I showed up, they said I don't have my appointment that day but the following week. I can see how I could make a mistake and add an appointment to my calendar on the wrong date 1x time, but not 2x times. Something is going on with their scheduling software, but they blame me and don't want to take any responsibility. I keep rushing from work to get to my appointment, and now 2x, they said it's on a different date. I'm not crazy! I book appointments all the time, and this is the only company that keeps scheduling my appointment on the wrong date. I decided to cancel my appointment and asked for a refund, but the manager said she could give me a store credit but not a refund. Why would I want store credit when I was willing to pay for my appointment and canceled it because they kept scheduling it on the wrong date? I need a refund because their software is broken, and I'm not wasting my time driving to their clinic AGAIN so they can tell me it's on the wrong date. They need to fix their scheduling software and learn to take responsibility for their mistakes. Horrible customer service! read more

I've been going here the past year to get laser tattoo removal. The results have been really good so far and my tattoo is significantly faded. I never got any blisters or any of the adverse effects associated with laser removal, and my technicians were happy to give me more ice to numb my skin when I wanted it. The staff at the Bellevue location have been very friendly, helpful and courteous on each of my visits. Thanks guys! read more

If I can give this place a ZERO star, I would! Not sure where to start, but please make sure that you are informed about the nonrefundable policy even if you cancel their services within the 24 hours of booking the service. They failed to informed me about the nonrefundable charge over the phone. They charged me the full amount immediately after getting off the phone with them and wasn't able to refund me at all. Their customer service is horrible. Overpriced! They still email me everyday of their PDF service agreement even though i have cancelled them within 24 hours. These emails will be going into the junk box!! Do your research and make sure everything is all informed to you prior in booking the service. I was able to dispute this charge and received my full $$ through my credit card service. thank goodness! read more

Tori is awesome! She is very knowledgeable and gives great advice. The front staff is also friendly and kind.

Wow. Amazing. Lovely. Incredible. Skilled! Where do I start. I've been coming to kucumber skin lounge Bellevue for a few years now and these gals are just the greatest. I drive very far way to come here for services and it is WORTH IT. Anywhere from tattoo removal to facials I've done it and every service is awesome and skillfully derived from a very knowledged technician. I was recommended this place for facials and laser skin hair removal etc from my best friend years ago so I came in. & it has been a life changing journey as a (now frequent) customer. Thank you for all that you do here! If you don't already know Dr Layla or Holly, they are two of the most incredible women to guide you down a well trusted and always beautiful road. The front desk is always amazing and if you have questions just ask. They will hold your hand through it all of you need even (like me) lol. Major hand holding. Go in and see these gals for anything your heart desires. You're in the best hands here read more

I rarely write reviews. I was bombarded with review requests from the establishing, so thought to put the review here as well. I wanted to love them. I tried the discounted facial to do extractions. I mentioned that I bruise easily. The technician did not open my pores properly. Then she worked me over, leaving a 3/4 inch diameter open wound on my face that took a week to heal. during our session, the technician quoted a $250 treatment that was doubled when I arrived. After discussion- at the time of my treatment upon learning that the price doubled, they reduced the price to $410. I politely excused myself. I was quite disappointed two times. It was awkward. read more

I purchased a package and was charged the incorrect amount in early September of 2017. They overcharged me by $200. I called and asked to have my account credited. Samantha from the Bellevue location. Samantha told me they were sorry I was overcharged me but could not give me the $200 credit?! She offered to give me more services instead. Not only is this illegal because they overcharged me and I did not sign the receipt for $3490 since it was suppose to be $3290. I was told by my credit card company, Kucumber Skin lounge has the ability to credit my account and I could dispute the entire charge since I hadn't even used any of the package I purchased nor had I signed the contract since the amount was incorrect. Samantha lied! I tried to handle the situation with their regional manager. Dimitri insisted she would credit my account. She never did! I called her on October 26th and she said she thought it had been done. According to my credit card they never credited me! Dimitri said she would take care of it and call me back the next day. She never took care of it and she never called back. She was extremely rude and unapologetic... I'm disputing the entire charge because, "how can I possibly trust them with my face if they're not honest. I can't trust them at all with doing the photo facial and laser treatments that were part of the package." Here is the attached email from Dimitri (regional manager) stating she was crediting my account $200. read more

Be sure to book a facial with Katherine L. Extremely knowledgeable and nurturing, she will treat you very well during your treatment. I came here because of a coupon I received from my building, and the staff was very welcoming and professional. Clean interior, nice staff, and my skin left glowing (I had the express facial). I won't be coming back because of the price... you will spend a few pennies here. They are a medical spa and focus on balancing your PH levels. If you have a few extra dollars to spend and want to feel taken care of, book with Katherine L. You can really tell that she loves what she does! read more

Going into khcumber lounge is like throwing a big chunk of your money away. I was given inaccurate consultations and therefore I went in and purchased a package that is supposedly not enough of treatments. Then when I complained they said "she is not an aesthetician and is not as informed about procedures" well this unfortunate fact wasted my money and time and they wouldn't take responsibility for it. Also the procedure that I did get was very incomplete which is resulting prominent marks on my skin. I explained all that and they refused to help and do anything about it without further charging me. I asked to speak with a manager by calling multiple times over the past week and nobody ever contacted me. Seems to me as they avoiding to let the supervisors/owners know they mistreat people. I don't recommend this place as they are not only dishonest for the purpose of making sales, they are also very unresponsive as far as anything that goes wrong. Stepping into the kucumber skin lounge is just like throwing your money and time away. Thanks for reading. read more

I was very impressed with their Covid-19 compliance and policies in place, and since I typically go to Seattle location (and love it!!!) Bellevue location stayed consistent with what I expected from this amazing business. Treating here for years now for all my aesthetic needs and recommend evening from lasers to injectables. Knowledgeable staff, custom tailored plans, they always work with my budget and results speak for themselves. I always receive compliments on how great my skin looks, my new obsession is their Viora treatment for body contouring! read more

I am always treated so wonderfully when I come into Kucumber. This is a luxury and it feels luxurious. It is immaculate and well designed to feel like a high end spa. I am aware that they will always make suggestions for treatments or products but I don't feel any sense of the "hard sell". Mary is a fabulous esthetician and felt very taken care of under her skilled hands. Yes, it is expensive, yes, I could buy a designer handbag for the same price but when choosing where to spend my luxury $$$ I am confident that my skin will be in style a lot longer than the bag. I am happy with my choice to use Kucumber for my skin treatments. read more

As a black woman I am always self conscious at an all white facility but the facility looked cute so I signed up for treatment. I am an international conflict analysts and after a couple of treatments at the bellevue location a war broke out in my home country Ethiopia, I had to travel to Sudan to help refugees coming in from Tigray ( where my family is from). This whole thing has been so traumatic and the way these people have responded infuriated me. It may be displaced anger so you be the judge. I asked to cancel the treatment plan and get a refund considering I am in a war zone with a possibility of me losing my life! but I was denied. I then asked for the store credit to be used to get sunscreens to have my ex send it to me in Khartoum also denied I guess cuz it has been over two weeks and I still haven't heard back. I feel petty leaving this review using a unhcr wifi connection but I'm just tired of white people stealing money from us for not doing anything, using systems like 'polices' to reenforce their white privilege. I'm probably never going to see my $1K again and I thought I should make sure that Black People in WA know who they dealing with! read more
