There was no voicemail or text message either. Instead of simply acknowledging the mistake and being upfront, the explanations kept changing. I was told to wait 30 minutes, which I agreed to. After waiting the full 30 minutes, I was then told it would be another five minutes. This was especially frustrating because a facial appointment is only 45 minutes long. Why tell me to come back in 30 minutes if the appointment would not actually be ready at that point? What bothered me most was that instead of being honest from the beginning, they kept giving me different explanations and trying to justify what happened. When I questioned the situation, the staff became defensive rather than apologizing and trying to make it right. The attitude ultimately felt like, "you can cancel if you want." I completely understand that businesses can run behind. What I do not understand is lying, changing the story, poor communication, and then being dismissive toward a customer who drove 40 minutes for an appointment. Unfortunately, this experience was extremely disappointing. The employees handled the entire situation terribly, and I left without receiving my appointment. I would not recommend this spa.

The equipment was pretty outdated and this service didn't come with a wash which I was fine with. This was the worst haircut and highlights I've ever had. I was super clear about what I wanted, I asked for only an inch off of the length, some face framing pieces that were chin length and then just a few highlights to lighten up my hair. I was going on a birthday trip that week and also had interviews coming up. I cried when i saw my hair that day. I had to book an appointment last minute with another stylist to hopefully fix what happened. She cut so much off in the front that it looked like a mullet or a bowl cut. The pieces in front were cut so short. This resulted in me having to cut my hair short to fix the choppy pieces. She only put a few highlights on the top and nothing in the back so I had to go over it with box dye and go back to my regular hair color. After I sent her an email with photos of my hair and explaining how I had to get it fixed, She did give me a refund for the Groupon and apologized which I appreciate. I believe she should have paid for me having to go and get it fixed. She was a nice person but I don't understand how a trim and some face framing could get messed up so badly. I truly wish she would have just told me she couldn't do it. I came in with long beautiful hair I'm so disappointed with how my hair looks now. As a customer for over 5 years, trust me, it's only because there was no way out of the system without a large loss of investment. While promos seem like a great deal and cheaper than others, it's because of hidden in fine print that literally "expire" services you've paid for or provided ZERO recourse if you aren't happy with results. No ethical business would have these kinds of policies. (Emailing customer service is not going to change the terms of the contracts or programs you provide. I'm already aware you can buy more to "unlock" your expired units. I still am not sure how it's legal that you can expire something that was paid for... other than the aforementioned contract. Even if you technically can, you shouldn't be allowed to)
