I have been coming here ever since they opened and the business just isn't the same any more. The staff: The staff here is friendly depending on which staff members are working. Sometimes you will get a nasty staff member that doesn't seem like they care about their job. Green Tea Crepe: This tasted OK but just isn't my thing. A06: This is my favorite and I get this all the time but the last few times they gave me freezer burned ice cream. The mango ice cream is supposed to be smooth not a rough texture with a nasty after taste. Mango Sundae: This is the worse sundae I have ever tasted in my life. The freezer burned ice cream was disgusting. Mixed Fruit Sundae: This was a mistake to have ordered this as it was not worth to try it. They even have mango tea. Yum! This place is one of the most unusual dessert places I ever visited. I had a chance to order the mixed fruit coconut sundae and the waffle loaded with mango pieces and green tea ice cream. It was DELICIOUS! Be aware that this place can get very busy in a minute so do not be surprised if you end up in a line waiting for a table. In my opinion it's worth the wait. This dessert place is very cute and aesthetically pleasing. The moment you enter the cafe, you can smell the mangoes. I heard a lot of great things about this place since it is relatively near Rutgers. I ordered one of their Strawberry Mango Juice Sago and Rice Balls with Mango Ice Cream. It was very delicious, but the portion was so small. You would think a dessert that is $7 would be sharable with at least 2 people. However, the circumference of the bowl is smaller than my hands. There were probably 4-5 strawberries and mangoes at most. Taste-wise, I enjoyed it a lot. I like the combination of all the ingredients and thought they complemented one another very well. I've been here so many times, I'm surprised I haven't written a review until now! As an undergrad at Rutgers, I loved coming here, and I still try to come a few times a year. When you walk into Mango Mango, the first thing you smell are the fresh mangoes and there are in fact many mangos (you'll usually find some of the boxes of mangoes in the back). What I like about this place is they only serve desserts and for someone with a big sweet tooth this place can be a slippery slope. I honestly wish we had more dessert cafes in NJ. I've ordered a lot of things from their menu, but some of my favorites include the mango sundae (it just tastes different than any other ice cream I've had), the Oreo Mille Crepe and the Mango Mille Cake. Everything is so good though you can't go wrong with any of the menu items. I think this location has to be my favorite out of the others I've visited in the area. It's clean, spacious and there's always a crowd here. Definitely recommend this as a place to hit up with a bunch of friends or to take a date to. read more

It is good but personally, if you're at mango mango, I'd recommend selecting the Asian desserts that couldn't be purchased at your local supermarket. This is definitely my favorite dessert place!! I feel like it has a little bit of everything, whether it's ice cream, cake, or juice. It's also great because mango is my favorite fruit! If you've never been here before and you're with some friends, I would definitely recommend getting the Combo A. It has a good variety of some of the best items on the menu. The last time I went, I split two dishes: one with the special mango juice and one with the Snow White juice. If you're a fan of mango, I would definitely recommend any of the mango juice dishes because the flavor is great and there's usually a generous amount of mango chunks. For those not familiar with Snow White juice, its a combination of coconut and evaporated milk, and it has a pretty icy consistency. The dish reminds me more of a slushy! I've been to a Mango Mango in a different location, but this was my first time sitting down and eating there. We got the special mango juice sago with pomelo and mango ice cream. The sago was different and I liked it in combination with the ice cream. The pomelo tasted like grape fruit and was a little too bitter for me so I wouldn't get again. First time I had them, they looked artificially colored, but still relatively sweet. The second time I had them with the cake, they were bitter and the texture was mushy. Perhaps it's easier to prepare the mangoes this way, but the mango pieces that were used before were firmer, tasted fresher, and not as orange-colored. When you enter, it's also a bit unclear if you're supposed to seat yourself or wait to be seated, so service could be improved in that aspect -- especially given that the space is small and is often very busy. read more

Wow. This place has been in my bookmarks for a while and I am so glad I finally decided to go. I can't believe this place is surrounded around desserts. First, the interior is beautifully designed. First off I love love the Mango Mango chain! This is a prime location in a strip mall with stores like H-mart, Tofu House, a spa and some other restaurants. Pretty much it is a play ground for foodies and adults lol. I came across this spot with my friend, and I can say that this place indulged in my mango obsession. We went there just last night with his sister and her husband to get some desserts. The waitress that was serving us was so rude when we asked her questions about the desserts we weren't familiar with. She shot us attitude after attitude. We had ordered Lychee Rose Green Tea and some icy fruit dishes with ice-cream... our orders were taking a little bit longer than it should to come out. Most people come here for dessert after having dinner elsewhere. The mangos and taste of fruits are pretty fresh 4/5 in the freshness scale. Would give this place a negative rating if I could. Had heard a lot about this place. Went with a group of friends this past Saturday night around 10:15 pm. Even though we placed an order to eat in, they brought out half the order in to go containers and the other half did not show up at all. When questioned, the staff simply poured the contents of the to go container in a glass bowl and gave it back to us. No apologies for the messed up order or the forgotten order. Not wanting to wait anymore, we simply canceled the remaining order. THE WORST PART was yet to come though. One of the servers, a young kid with a hat was constantly hovering around our table and giggling about our group. At one point, he went behind one of the guys in our group who is bald and made faces behind him and kept pointing at his bald head while smirking. He essentially insulted our friend in front of us and other customers. Made no attempt to apologize. This guy and the staff ruined what had been a great night out until then. Our friend went up to him and asked his name and to speak with a manager. The employee (who said his name was something like Jaren), simply smirked and said there was no manager and did not make the manager's schedule to tell us when the manager will be in. I have NEVER seen such a thing happen ever to our group or any other people. For an employee to insult and make fun of a customer in front of a full store is outrageous and ridiculous - that too without any provocation of any kind from the person being made fun of. Given that other reviewers here with a bad experience have not received any response from the owners, I do not expect to hear as well. OMG! As a fan of mango this place was like heaven. From having matcha crepe cake to having mango ice cream as well as pots of tea, wow. I was blown away. I've been to this edison complex before but I never knew this place existed! Although the parking here is horrendous, this cute little cafe made up for it! I loved the atmosphere in this place as well as the amazing dessert choices that they had. I will 10/10 come back to this place despite the long drive. This place remind me of a similar place I've been to in Queens though this place was more of a sit down place. Or at least better set up for it. They are in a shopping plaza so parking is shared with the other businesses but there is usually parking available. I chose take away as I was a little time pressed at the time. The menu is mostly mango based options but there are all kinds of desserts. The seating area looked very nice and comfortable as well. There was definitely people there so that is always a good sign. I chose the mango bowl which was good. It comes with the rice balls which are always a plus in my opinion. The portions were a little smaller than the other place I usually go to but this place was also a little cheaper as well. I feel like this place also had more options on the menu as well. Both times that I've went was with a group of 4 - 5 people and we were able to chill without being pressured to leave, which is something I experience a lot in other restaurants from this area. The first time I went was on a Wednesday night and the second time I went was a Saturday afternoon and both times we were seated quickly. Service was fast and attentive when it came to taking our orders and giving the check. I thought the desserts were a decent price considering that I'm always sharing with my friends. $7 - 9 is not bad and the portions are big enough for my group of friends to share. I'm sure I could easily finish an entire Classic Dessert by myself, but I love trying everything! Anything with Snow White Juice, Mango Ice Cream, and Sago are my favorite. I have a huge sweet tooth so I may not be the best judge of something's sweetness, but I thought all the desserts I've tried (except the Coco Crepe Roll) had enough fruity taste to balance it out. Even the Coco Crepe Roll was not too chocolatey or sugary. The Mango Green Tea was quite pricey at 4.50, even if I were to share with others, but it did come in a cute teapot that also functioned as a teacup. Niche little place to hang out and enjoy mango-based desserts, if you are a fan of mango (and durian) and would like to sit down in a cafe style atmosphere, this place is worth a try. We always managed to arrive at prime times of the day when there is fewer people, the staff is friendly and will guide you to a seating and the fine menu of picturesque selections. Depending on the dessert mood you are in, most of the selections are mango based (duh..) in a cup, usually filled with chucks of mango, rice puddings, ice cream, and other sprinkled fruits to complement the ensemble. There are a few oddities like durian and chocolate crepes, they are layered crepes that many find delicious. A few hot drink selection also on the menu, but I don't believe they are very popular since Kungfu tea is right next door (honestly, it would be more convenient for them to merge rather than compete as separate chill-out locales :). We had tried individual items here and there, and this time we had the combo A, it consists of two cups of fruity mixture filled with mango, and some kind of rice cakes with coconut sprinkles and a chuck of mango stuck inside. This ice cake is not good, there is a strong conflict of flavor amongst them, the coconut doesn't complement the rice cake, neither does the mango chuck inside ride on the flavor of the other two, the rice cake itself is actually quite nice with a smooth texture and mild taste, however together, they end up disastrously incompatible, leaving us with disappointment and crumbs of unsavory coconut bits stuck in our teeth, unwilling to be washed out into history. The mango, almost always made in the form of chucks, is good most of the time, except when they aren't. We got them prepared poorly this time, the mango were cut to close to the seed, leaving the chucks thready and stringy, sour and hard. Please don't skim out on the customer, and cut too deep into the mango, we paid quite a bit for a few pieces of mango, you can afford to be above average generous with the mango. The store profit margin will rise with customer satisfaction not by shaving off the substandard meat off the seed. You may wonder why am I so brutal with the mango, well, other than living up to the title of the shop, mango is in 90% of the dishes offered here..When so much emphasis is place here, my attention can go nowhere else but mango mango.. I am not a fan of durian, and the whole place is filled with this smell, especially strong when both doors are closed shut. So if you are walking in here for the first time, and wonder at the back of your head if it violated some kind of health code, it is fine, it is just durian. Peace out and be chilled. read more

I've been to multiple mango mango locations in other cities and while the food at this location is great and consistent quality like others, this location pales in comparison to all the other ones I've tried. The biggest issue is the customer experience. I've come twice now a year a part and the ordering/sit down process is extremely confusing and slow. This location only ever has one person working the front. Last time we came we were told we needed to sit down to order, and even though we were ready to order immediately we had to wait for a waiter for 10+ minutes to take our order. This time (a year later now) was the same confusing experience and I saw many people placing their order at the register and then sitting down, or people who were already sitting being confused when they're order was going to be taken. Often the only waiter disappears for quite some time which makes the experience even more confusing. read more

I was very excited to find out that there is a Mango Mango in Edison! I've only been to the one in Flushing and of course, the ride to the NYC and tolls deters more frequent trips. My brother, mother, and I went for the Mango Tower for Two (pretty sure that's the name-picture attached). It consists shaved Mango ice at the bottom topped with Mango chunks, mochi balls, and Mango ice cream, drizzled with Mango juice! Ughhhhh it was a Mango paradise! I gotta say, the shaved ice wasn't my favorite and there was a lot of it in here. I'm definitely going to try something else the next time..... Soooooo many options... Not enough money though haha.
