Iciban continues to be one of my favourite Asian restaurant/buffets that I know of. The beautiful decor and fish display in the middle of the restaurant really help set the mood. They have an awesome hibachi grill which food wise is my favourite thing about here. There's many options such as shrimp, beef, crab and a lot more for you to choose from and then hand it over to them to cook up. My plate this time consisted of shrimp, crab, beef, and lo mein with lots of red pepper to spice it up and then cooked in soy sauce. Soooooooo delicious. The rest of their buffet has lots to like as well with sushi options, General Tso's chicken, and just way too much more for me to name but was super delicious. The service is top notch here as our drinks were always full and everyone so friendly. I just cant say enough good things about Ichiban. read more

I have never had anything bad from Ichiban and I order to go once a week to once every two weeks. I remember when it was Tokyo Dragon and it is even better now. My kids love to eat in and see the fish and whatever awesome little sleepy pokemon they have set up at the counter. read more

My husband and I walked in for the buffet, picked up a plate and perused the dishes, put the plate back down and paid for the Mt. Dew. Nothing was fresh, the right color, or smelled right. The hibachi grill was unmanned and on, super hot and dangerous. The establishment looked run down and dark, tattered seating and sticky surfaces. Only one sweet woman working on staff and she seemed confused why we were leaving without eating. It all looked concerning. read more

It's horrific! If You went on a GOOD day. Alexandria needs something at least without the cockroaches that have been seen by google viewers. Dirty and the food was cold. Only way to get hot food was from the hibachi grill. The soups were barely warm. Definitely not hot. The food was far from fresh. The sushi was disgusting. Every roll had cream cheese, fake crab meat and the fish looked days old. Smelled like it too. Definitely way over priced for the tragic quality. We even had to go to the hostess stand for silverware. What I did eat, upset my stomach a lot. I wouldn't advise going there! read more

Definitely like this buffet better then the first one we tried around the area. Nice sushi collection and everything was filled up. Service was great and price is fair. The overall facility is a bit dark and damp but, not terrible. read more

Food wasn't bad had good taste. Something's had a little sweet taste to it which wasn't bad. Really don't think it was worth driving that far off the interstate for dinner on our travels but we did. Servers were attentive and friendly. The food was pretty typical for an Asian buffet. Tile floors around the food were sticky and that was not expected. Ambiance isn't the reason you go to a place like that. I will say they do have a hibachi station which I didn't partake in so that could have been very good. Nasty old dried up food. I was there for dinner. Spent about 30-45 min here and seen NO fresh food put out on the buffet. There is some very good sushi and chinese food here for cheap. Dinner buffet is about $12 per person and you can get your money's worth. Good selection at reasonable prices. They deliver to my house in Alexandria also for very little fee. The people there taking orders over phone are also very accommodating and friendly. I stopped by early on a slow afternoon. I like the variety of items on the lunch buffet. The only downside is that not all of the items were properly labeled so I played it safe with only selecting the items I knew. The soups were great as well as the lo mein. Soon more customers came in and the food was refreshed more frequently. The waiter was attentive the entire time. They have an excellent fruit bar on the salad side. Great food but absolutely horrible staff. They are rude and don't expect to get a refill on your drinks. They asked my son how old he was and at the time he was 2 going on 3. So naturally he says he's free (three). They tried to charge me for him because he said he was free(three). They never asked me how old he was. We ordered for the first time tonight. We ordered off their dinner menu and the online menu said all combos come with egg rolls, so we didn't order extra. We ordered sweet and sour, orange chicken, and chicken lo mein. We live 45 min away and when my daughter got here, we were missing the sweet and sour sauce, no egg rolls, and 3 little soy packets. I called to let them know and they called the manager and called me back. They said they checked with the cook and they did leave it out (!) and they no longer include the egg rolls in the combos. They couldn't deliver anything because we live so far out, and offered to put my name on a list for a free crab rangoon next time I come in. I told them we don't even eat those and he said, "Well, we tried to compensate'. The actual food was not that great and we will not be back! read more

Tokyo Dragon has been sold, it has reopened under new management as Ichiban. It has been remodeled and looks a lot better, the items on the buffet has stayed about the same.Thankfully they have kept the old staff. read more

I have never been more disappointed! I had been a long time customer of Tokyo Dragon and had NEVER had a bad meal. Everything was fresh and consistent every time. My most recent visit left me in shock! What the hell happened to the quality of their food. The California roll I ordered was awful. After I roll I questioned the freshness of the fish. I threw the rest of the roll out because the salmon smelled spoiled. My wonton soup looked like a container of mountain dew with overly thick dough and the meat inside tasted funny. I was not asked what size container of soup I wanted and never knew they had a FAMILY size but that is what I got! So for 1 roll of sushi (I could not eat) a super size container of wonton soup(which I did not ask for) that was so yellow that the wontons were dyed yellow as well and an order of fried wonton that were slightly greasy but edible cost me almost 18.00 bucks. We never eat at buffets but, figured we'd give Ichiban a try because, I saw an ad. I was disappointed. Service was great but, the food itself was mediocre buffet fare. And being a sushi fanatic, I wasn't impressed with theirs. There were a few standard rolls. And a couple strange ones that were odd tasting and a bit off putting. I know this place just opened as Ichiban, and I had not eaten at Tokyo Dragon, but this place was pretty sad. My tween daughter and I had the buffet here last night. She's a picky eater who only eats lo mein, sushi, pot stickers, ravioli, and meat. She really liked the lo mein, although she was scraping the bottom of the pan for a first serving--and there was no second serving because it was never refilled. She was disappointed in the sushi; she likes simple rolls like salmon and tuna, but there were none of those to be found. Horrible customer service. Do not order delivery. I Ordered online for delivery (restaurant delivers directly not 3rd party) and after over an hour I called them and they said it was delivered. After explaining to them that I never got my food and they delivered to the wrong house , they continued to say they delivered it to the correct house and gave it to 2 young boys that answered the door. (I do not have 2 young boys at my house). Then they continued to say that I messed up and put the wrong address in. (Which I did not because I went back and checked.) And then they said "we did nothing wrong." No apology just continued to argue with us that they delivered to the correct house that we made the mistake. read more
