Decided to bring 26 people for a Birthday party. I gave them a week's notice and they said they had a room that was separate from main dining. It worked out perfectly. Food was constantly refreshed, they had plenty of friendly and efficient staff. Staff also didn't seem to mind us getting up, walking around and visiting each other ( some places are annoyed by this behavior). We would definitely do another party here. All right so I'm going to admit right now that I came here right after having my first colonoscopy. I hadn't eaten anything for 2 days and I was starving. So what's a better place to get your money's worth then an Asian buffet! I've been here a couple of times and the staff is always friendly. They make sure you have enough to drink and they're always coming by to collect plates. The food here is pretty decent. I'm not going to say it's great because I have yet to be at any Asian buffet where the food is all great. But the crab cheese wontons are full of cheese and flavor, The coconut shrimp is more dense than other places I've been to, the sushi is satisfying, and all the other staples are there. There's really nothing that I can do to score this place down. You can also finish off with a good dessert as they have many different ice creams and little cakes to choose from. You're definitely going to get your money's worth here and I have to say, it was an excellent choice to come here after my colonoscopy. Though hardly anything has a label. Several options for kids (chicken fingers, mac n cheese, pizza). Will update if I get sick as a lot of the reviews in the past year mention that's a risk... I didn't read that until after I started eating so, fingers crossed! *updated to say, I did not get sick. Got talked into a buffet by the family, and seeing how this one was the closest to the Target we had to swing by, this won by default. The selections were pretty good, it tasted okay, and it didn't seem overly expensive. The rose chicken, crab Rangoon, and coconut shrimp being some of my favs. Hot and sour soup was too spicy, the egg rolls weren't good, and a lot of the dishes just seemed like fried dough. My lo mein was figgity, my fried rice was figgity, the sweet and sour sauce was absolutely figgity AND the cheesy crab was figgity. I also have to mention the bourbon chicken was FIGGITY aka burnt to the moon and back. Over priced for the quality of food offered, will not be going back... under most circumstances. I will say the service was as expected and the dining experience was nice. Every-time I left to get a new plate refilled I came back to my old residual taken by the waitress and my water was always topped off and tasted very refreshing. First off I got food poisoning the last time I was here about 2 years ago haven't been back since. Before that I found food in my drink and I didn't even take a drink yet. So I'm a dumb ass for even coming back here but how in the living hell is this place so expensive. I could have went to a high quality steak house for what I paid. $65! Holy shit. Now keep in mind I brought a 4 year old and a 6 year old. Guess how much they ate? Like half a plate eat. My oldest ate 1 plate and I had 2. If I went to a steak house I could have gotten two large steaks and two kids dinners for around the 70-80 range. I've eaten at other Chinese buffets and been very disappointed, only to return to New China Buffet. Everything is good, everything is fresh. This used to be my "go to" place for Chinese buffet. The last couple of years, however ( and this could be COVID related ), i have noticed a steady decline in the preparation, quality and overall availability of food in the buffet. Cases in point: The Peanut Chicken used to be lightly fried chicken swimming in peanut sauce. Now, it's over cooked chicken or burned chicken sitting a puddle of watered down peanut juice. On Sunday, they used to have a huge spread of sushi and nigiri. Now, it's a thrown together assembly of California-style rolls. On the weekends, during the lunch rush, you can walk through the buffet islands and count up the trays void of food. At one time, they were filling these trays way before they were empty. You *could* chalk all this up to be nit picky. You're probably right. But, when you find a place that excels at what they do only to diminish in quality, you take notice. read more

There were several things that I really liked such as the chicken on a stick and the crab rangoons but surprisingly what I enjoyed the most was the roasted potatoes. I know that sounds crazy for a Chinese buffet but these were excellent. I think I could have made a meal with just the potatoes. My criteria for China Buffet restaurants---- clean bathrooms, service, well maintained steam tables, peel & eat shrimp, egg rolls. They hit all of these points. While they did have good peel & eat shrimp, they didn't do a good job keeping the it full. Their cocktail sauce was awful. I suppose I could have improvised by getting wasabi and adding ketchup. The egg roll was very good. They also have sushi and other salads. I liked the shrimp & vegetables as well as the lo mein. The coconut shrimp was covered with a white, possibly coconut sauce. Not your typical coconut shrimp which has a fried coconut coating, although it was very bready. The service was very good. Bathrooms were clean. Price was very reasonable. read more

We had a pick up from this place as a part of our hunt for a good Chinese food. Unfortunately, the hunt doesn't stop here. Nothing drastically wrong with the food but nothing great as well. The veggies blended well with the thin rice noodles, however, I would have loved a bit of spice to it. However, Vegetable Chop Suey was disappointing. The veggies were bland and rice didn't really add anything to the flavor. And this, in spite of specifying to make it spicy in the instructions. Overall, not very encouraging experience. Ambiance: The restaurant itself looked good for having a dine in. It was well lightened. With glass windows, I bet, plenty of sunlight on a sunny day. Overall, looked like a good place to have a nice and cozy lunch/dinner. Staff: The staff was good. However, the service was on a little slower side. Even after ordering, it took me about 15mins to reach there and then a wait of another 15mins till I had my order in my hand. With such small order, I was expecting a little fast service. However, the gentleman at the counter was welcoming and friendly.
