I dislike ever leaving 2 star or less, but sadly I got about 10 bites into my house fried rice, and found a piece of chicken had some kind of a green spots in it. I went up to the counter and showed the guy, who just kept telling me everything is fresh and bought daily. I don't doubt that, but this chicken has green spots on it I'm not gonna keep eating it lol. If he offered to cook literally anything else, or even give me a partial refund I wouldn't even leave a review and givenhim the venefit of it just being a one-off. Super yummy food!! I got a spicy chicken teriyaki with 4 pc wings, food was fresh! My boyfriend got a combo with the short rib and it was so flavorful! My only complaint is that it was cold inside the building but honestly after the food came out, that didn't even matter. My rice was old. You can tell that it's hard on the exterior to the touch. It was definitely pre-scooped and it hardened over time or was old from last night... Kind of weird to serve old rice... The garlic chicken tasted amazing, although I think they used prebooked chicken and then breaded to fry. It was very nice and crispy + the sauce was delicious. My only complaint was that I received a half empty box. So if you would compare it to a fellow yelper's garlic chicken photo posted from the past which was full, imagine me getting 9 tiny pieces of quarter sized chicken. When I say tiny, I meant it was the tiniest portion I've ever received from a teriyaki joint. When I opened the box I was very surprised. Definitely felt very cheated. Salad doesn't come with the meal. So I ordered salad of course. It was fresh + the salad sauce was thick and delicious! I randomly came here out of the blue from driving around the area. After waiting almost 40 minutes I got my food got home and began to eat. Never had the entire family spit out their food. The chicken tasted like fish not fresh, the teriyaki sauce was so salty it could have been used as a cow lick. Even the free salad they gave for the wait was bad how do u mess up just lettuce? I have been a loyal customer for years and through new managements. Since Covid the portions have gotten smaller, which with inflation, understandable. My all time favorite has been shrimp Yakisoba. Aside from smaller portion, it has lost the awesome flavor. Please bring that back. read more

This place is bomb! From the generous size portions right on down to the hardworking family keeping it going! I ordered simple! Chicken teriyaki and a canned soda. The chicken was juicy, too scoops of rice and lettuce/salad. The total came to 8 bucks and change. I love this place! I use to come here all the time when I lived in Kent but haven't been back in years. Randomly decided to stop in today for a quick bite and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! I ordered the honey garlic chicken and a side of Gyoza. Both items were really tasty and flavorful. They also let me know that they hired a new chef who has over 20+ years of experience and it shows. Location is nearby which is a plus, great noodle/veggie portions, very favorable compared to other yakisoba joints in the vicinity, reasonable price, quick service within 10-15 min for our order of 2 Chicken Yakisoba's & 4 egg rolls. My reasons for the -.5 star rating is that we occasionally order take out from here and each time including today, the meat portions are small. The meat you see at the top are literally the only meat in this plate of yakisoba. About 5-6 pieces of chicken a plate. We went today and they're teriyaki tasted different. Holy moly where do I begin? First of all they were fast. They weren't busy so that may have helped. Prices are fair. Customer service wasn't like overly astounding or bubbly. Which is how I prefer. He was polite and quick. But the food? Wow. Their sauce is 10/10. My fav teriyaki sauce. The meat is charred perfectly. Not overly done. Not crunchy or dry. So juicy. So tender. So flavorful from perfect amount of char and a damn good sauce. Will be back. Large portions, this is a solid 3 meals for me. Tonight's dinner and two lunches. I WILL SAY though, not including a side salad and charging $1 for it? I don't love that. But they're not losing smh stars because the chicken and pork was that good. Comes with 4 fried gyozas that were pretty good as well. 1 scoop of rice and a "salad" (lettuce with some watered down dressing). It was fine and it filled me up pretty good. All 4 of us enjoyed lunch and were part of the clean plate club. They do have some specials on the board next to the register so be sure to check that out (that particular day was Honey Garlic Chicken). Pricing was fine and totally under $10. Young lady that ran the front was nice, helpful, fast and did pretty much everything from taking orders, delivering food, answering phone, cleaning the dining room etc. Place located in a strip mall so a good amount of parking spots available. For teriyaki places, I usually leave a cash tip at the end, but this place as soon as I put a line over the tip area of the receipt, it didn't seem like she was happy. Best teriyaki place in the South end/ Kent area. I used to go all the way to Seattle's Best Teriyaki in the sodo district for decent teriyaki. Huge portion for the price, the chicken is juicy and all extra fats trimmed off. Normally when I order beef off the menu, I always feel like they give you less than if I order chicken, but not this place. Huge portion whether you order chicken or beef teriyaki. And their chicken katsu is crispy, tender and perfectly breaded. I find most sauce are overly sweet, but this place get the sauce just right for my picky taste bud. The Health Department rates all restaurants and leave those corny green smiley signs rating the restaurants ability to follow food handling guidelines. This restaurant didn't have the sign as you enter the door so I looked them up. 2 years in a row they failed at components and needed consultant education. Giving them the lowest sign only "OKAY". I understand it's a small family run business and the portions are generous but seems like much more education is needed in the kitchen. Hope they can get it together. read more
