Amazing optometrist. I hadn't realized just how bad my vision had become. After a checkup, expertly calculated prescription, and a fantastic new pair of glasses, I can actually see clearly again. I purchased prescription sunglasses and prescription clear glasses. I wore the sunglasses for a whole month but my eyes would not adjust because long distance was blurry. The clear glasses seemed better. The manager said the prescriptions were exactly the same for both. Why then were the sunglasses blurry? She wanted me to pay more I don't have insurance again for another exam it's been a year. When I saw the doctor the first and only time I was in the chair for over an hour because she was showing me all of this information that I really wasn't interested in! I thought Just do the exam but no she even used a pointer on the screen when she was pointing out various eye parts when explaining. Bottom line I do not recommend this Optometry office or the doctor. I told the office manager the sun glasses were bad from the beginning so I've been wearing my old prescription glasses which are great. Unseen circumstances came up to prevent me from going back to this place earlier to get the correction made. I made a huge mistake going there. I've never had a problem with any previous optometry businesses before. I think they wanted more money! I paid over a thousand dollars for both glasses. They aren't getting my money there are better places! read more

Dr Tram is very friendly and thorough. She will explain everything and answer all your questions. She spends time with her patients and doesn't hurry the interaction. I am happy that she values my time as a patient and makes sure I understand EVERYTHING before I leave. She is very kind and always happy to help. Their staff is also friendly. I heard some reviews that they are expensive. I'm not sure about that. But I think that price is just an issue in the absence of value. Dr. Tram Ton-Tran is amazing. I have a very bad stigmatism in my right eye, and have for years. I've always found it difficult to find a doctor that has been able to correct the vision in my eye. I tried another doctor in Manteca that really messed up my prescription, and I tried to get a retest there, and was ignored. I made an appointment with Dr. Ton-Tran, and was given a prescription, but it wasn't quite right, so I requested a retest. The second retest was right on the money. She took her time and got the vison in my right eye 99% perfect. The first time in years that I was able to get a great prescription because of the stigmatism. My right eye now is very close to 20-20. First time ever. I highly recommend her!! She is caring, knowledgeable, and an all around great doctor. Her staff is also a great bunch also!! read more

I absolutely don't recommend this office. My first time going to this place, they charged me for a service that my insurance covers. After checking with my insurance, I was told that they shouldn't have charged me for the service, since it is covered. I had to call this office to get that money reimbursed to me. They should already know what is covered and not before charging me. The second bad experience I had with them was, on my way there for an appointment, they call me and they wanted to reschedule, because the doctor is running late. I was already almost there when they called me. They should have called me at least an hour ahead to tell me this, not a few minutes before. Very disappointed!! I absolutely recommend this office! For years I went to Costco for my eye care. Don't know what I was thinking lol. After not being able to get in, I called icare and made an appt. I am so glad that I did! They performed tests that enabled me to prevent future problems. So thankful for that! They updated my RX and I purchased my glasses here. They have a great selection of high quality eye wear and they stand behind their product. I've gone in to have my glasses adjusted and they are always so friendly, Helpful and professional. As the other reviewer said that Dr. Ton is extremely thorough with her examination. I came in to get multifocal contacts to replace my driving and reading glasses. After she did her exam she said that she doesn't understand why I have two pairs of glasses since my vision wasn't that bad for both and they were very close to number. Wow!! 16 years I have been using a different pair for both reading and driving and didn't need to...SMH... Anyhow, she gave me a pair of contacts with the specific number I needed and she was right!!!! Beyond disappointed in this office. I scheduled appointments for my 3 daughters and myself. First, they aren't able to accommodate us the same day because they don't see more than 2 family members at the same time (apparently not because of COVID but because of families canceling in the past). This was extremely inconvenient but I was willing to give it a try since the office came highly recommended. Well, what a mistake that was. They have two hour appt windows so the latest appts they can make for TWO of my children are 1:45PM. I had to leave work 4+ hours early so I could pick up my daughters and make it to their appt on time-- we arrived early. Spoke to the receptionist about how even though I know they only see 2 family members at a time that it would be appreciated if they could fit all 3 of my girls in rather than keep our 4 separate appointments (2 different days) and she advised me that they can't because that is the policy. I finished filling out the forms and waiting for our appointment when another receptionist comes out and tells me they won't be able to see my daughters today. So, they have a cancelation fee... but what about my time and them canceling on me while we are at the appointment?!?! Totally unprofessional, inconsiderate & beyond irritating! Highly do NOT recommend for families or anyone who finds their time valuable! read more

My family and I have been loyal,patients of Dr. Lavieri and his staff for almost 20 years. The staff is friendly and helpful. All of the good you would come to expect from a small town optometrist. Sharon, Debbie and the rest of the staff take time and care to ensure the frames you choose are the frames that are right for you. All glasses come with a warranty and most insurance plans accepted. I forgot my checkbook once and they let me pick up my glasses without paying. They trust me to call or come back later with payment, which i did of course! It will be a sad day for us when Dr. Lavieri retires and we have to find a new place to go! read more

I was always hesitant to go to a private optometrist instead of one of those chains like Lenscrafters because I worried that the selection of frames would be smaller but Dr. Lavieri has some great name brand frames on hand and some that even fit my large head lol. Dr. Lavieri had been my optometrist since I was 17 Up until i was 27 when I finally got laser eye surgery. He encouraged me to get the laser surgery even though he knew he would lose me as a client. He always sought out my benefit. I recommended him to my husband recently and my husband was so impressed. Dr Lavieri is so personable, truly cares about you as a patient. His prices are very reasonable. He always has cutting edge and fashionable frames to choose from.I highly recommend him as your optometrist. The optometrist is great. Her exam was complete and thorough. However as the business owner, you are responsible for your business and your staff. I had an appointment for 10:30. I arrived early, 10, just in case I had to fill out forms or if there was a cancellation and I could be seen earlier. The Dr did not see me until 11:15!!! The entire time the staff kept saying," the Dr. Will be right with you." Why lie to a patient? You know if the Dr is on time or running behind. If you don't, then I question your time management skills. The Dr appointment took 1.5 hours! I would have rescheduled if I'd known there was this much of a delay. This caused me to be late to work, which had a tangible financial impact on my work. Will NOT recommend them to anyone. Wether I come back here or not depends on whether the issues I mentioned here are resolved and peoples time is treated with more respect read more

Excellent staff with superb customer service. They were courteous and very helpful, from explaining various lens options to adjusting your glasses. We brought our own frames for the lab to work on, so we didn't really look at their frames (the selections were a bit small though). Then came high school and college with kaiser and I found myself at the eye doctor every month....then I graduated college and got my own insurance and remembered this man. I remembered how personable he was, how friendly he was, how caring and genuine he was....so I checked to see if he was still in business...& sure enough I found him on Yelp in my home town with 5 stars. Then I booked an appointment and what happened? He went above and beyond and listened to every problem and concern I had. He spent twenty minutes finding 5 sets of trial contacts to have me try out and told me to come back when I had found ones that fit me comfortably.
