I was hoping to like this place, but unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the service. This place was busy, and felt like a drive through Walmart type of appointment. The tech who did the pre-testing was pleasant and personable, took her time and was thorough. No complaints about her. However, the doctor that did my exam was completely the opposite! As someone who had an extremely high prescription, a glaucoma suspect, and later had lasik, I would have thought that he'd take time to analyze my exam results. He spent 15 mins max with me and part of that was spent trying to sell me those damn vitamins. He didn't ask how my eyes felt, if I experienced any dryness or eye strain, didn't mention anything about the pressure in my eyes = glaucoma suspect, nor anything about my lasik experience. The tech even asked about my lasik. My time was wasted here and I'm disappointed in the service I received. I wasted my annual checkup and could have just gone to Costco where the doctors at least show some interest. read more

Scheduled an appointment online got a reminder call for my appointment then I arrive and they do not have me in the system and no appointment. The girl at the front desk is clueless and not helpful at all. Could not tell me how long it would take to be seen if I waited. People take off work for these types of things. I had the best experience at Tracy Optometry Group! I came in with issues with dry eyes/allergies and also needed an eye exam for new glasses. Dr Timothy Ng was very informative and thorough while going over each scan and my octomap results. He knew right away that my eye condition was due to severe allergy and not infection and provided me with options for eye drops along with a coupon to use. He went over suggestions and my new prescription in detail. Explained how long it would take from me to adjust to my prescription but why it would be beneficial for my eyes in the long run. Everything with the optometrist was great! The second portion of my visit was with optician, Randy. He took his time helping me find the perfect frames! And I have to say he provided the most amazing customer service. You can genuinely tell that he is an expertise at his craft and loves doing it. I have been going here for well over 20 years and I have a few friends that have gone here over the years based on my advice. Now you can never get through to somebody they send you a text message asking you what you want and it takes forever for them to get back to you. I understand that things are changing with technology and everything is automated, but customer service is hugely important to me. I have always paid more here for everything, but I felt it was worth it because of the quality of care. I no longer feel that way and sadly I think I will be going someplace where they answer the phone and get back to you. read more

I went in for my appointment and they got it done fast and it was very simple. After the eye exams, Maria and Talia helped me choose out my frames to match my look. They were also brutally honest about what looks good and what was okay, which I appreciate! After choosing my frames they ran everything through of the cost and what things are going into the lenses and questioned if I wanted certain things like anti-glare and other things which I loved! I always have a great experience when I go to the Tracy Optometry Group. I have been going there for several years now and everyone is always so helpful and kind. I have never had a bad experience with any of the doctors or technicians. They have a good selection of frames to choose from and the licensed opticians that help you pick out your frames are always very knowledgeable and helpful. I was just there with both my kids and Randy, one of the licensed opticians, helped my son find the perfect frames that he could wear proudly. He was very reluctant to wear glasses previously so it was important to find frames that he truly feels excited about. My son walked out of there excited about the new glasses Randy helped him find and he is looking forward to picking up his new frames in a couple of weeks. 5 Stars for Monica!! I came in to get my new glasses adjusted and she helped right away. She asked questions about where I like to wear them and felt them behind my ears to get them adjusted to my liking. Once adjusted, I asked what my options were if I was not 100% liking them.- (after getting them I realized they were too small for my face shape) She explained that I could pick out new ones (one time only) and have to pay a small restocking fee. I agreed to look, she started helping me and was very honest with if they looked good or not, which I appreciated and welcomed. I didn't have an appointment, and they were getting busy, so I asked if I could make an appointment for more time for her to help me. She had an appointment later that day. When I came back she greeted me and was very patient with me and helped me try on many different style frames. I've been going here almost three decades since Dr. Moline first diagnosed my condition (keratoconus). He makes me feel at ease by taking the time to explain things every visit and answer any questions. The staff here is also super friendly. All of that would be enough to recommend them, but I'm most impressed by their use of the latest technology. Each year they seem to upgrade and improve machines used for eye care diagnostics. As a techie, it is great to see this equipment applied during the annual checkup. Best of all, insurance (VSP) covers the cost for these advanced services. read more

Tracy Optometry Group in 36 West 10th Street, Tracy CA. Extremely disappointed with my experience with this place. In December 2, 2018, I set up an appointment with this place for an eye exam. The doctor was a little late, which left me sitting in the exam room for a bit. However, he was very nice and seem thorough with the exam. Although both of my eyes prescription has been exactly the same for many years, this time one side came out stronger than the other, which was odd. When I questioned the doctor, I was told it was minor change. After the exam, I decided on two prescription glasses, an Oakley daily glasses and a PRADA sun glass. I requested to the sales person that I needed the Sunglasses on December 22 for my Christmas/New Year holiday in Hawaii. I was told, it would be ready in December 21. On December 21, I received a call stating it was delayed. January 10, 2019, I received another call stating it was delayed again and will be in a week. I was offered a pair of lenses installed into my old frame for free, which was nice and appreciated. On January 22, February 7, 15 and 22, I received another update each week stating a date push out due to delay. Finally, on Wednesday March 6, I was informed the PRADA sunglasses arrive. Finally, Saturday March 9, 2019 3 months after I purchased the sunglasses, I came in to pick up it up. At this point, I was extremely annoyed and disappointed with the entire process. Once I saw the glasses, I was pleased with the result. I briefly tried it on and left. Soon after I left the store, I realized something feels off or weird with my eye. After a several tests on focusing on an object both near and far, using one eye at the time. I realized the clarity on one side is not the same on the other. I immediately called Tracy Optometry back to explain the situation and come back to the store. Once I got to the store, I explained the situation to the Sales person that the Near and Far vision on each side of the glasses seems off or miss aligned. My suspicion is that the By-Focal separation from Far, Middle and Near are not aligned with the left and right lenses. At the med and far range with closing one eye at the time, left would be 100% clear and right is blurry. She explained that the glasses were meant to be use with both eye open and not look through it with one eye open at the time. Which was absurd explanation to me because this is the reason we have a different grade prescription on each eye. So, that when you close one eye at the time, you should see the same. After going back and forth with the sales person, I knew this discussion was not going anywhere and her suggestion is to wear the glasses at the different angle to avoid the blurriness. Now, once I got home. I looked at the glasses and notice the separation. See pictures below. read more

I love this place! Super friendly and helpful. I'm going to say the people here are very knowledgeable because they were able to fix my prescription where I am now ok to drive at night. I can now also could read with contacts and glasses, normally I have to take my glasses off. They have a wide variety of glasses as well. Susan was very helpful with her suggestions on which one will be better for me and what would be durable for my daily activity. as far as yearly eye exams go , i come to them . also bring my family as well for their eye exams . they have a pretty decent size selection of eyeglasses especially for women . not so much for men who wear glasses though . every time i come they're always really professional & thorough when it comes to the actual eye exams . they like to make sure they're getting your prescription if needed as accurately as possible . i'd recommend them if anybody is looking for a place to get their eyes checked . read more

After buying RayBan no prescription sun glasses and coming home, realized that the same glasses are 40% less expensive in RayBan official website. I called them to cancel the order or price match but they said they have already processed the order. This price difference is unacceptable. I feel all their collection prices are marked up. They should at least let me cancel the order as it has been just 1 hr since I ordered and it is No prescription. They haven't customized anything for me. read more
