I love this place! Super friendly and helpful. I'm going to say the people here are very knowledgeable because they were able to fix my prescription where I am now ok to drive at night. I can now also could read with contacts and glasses, normally I have to take my glasses off. They have a wide variety of glasses as well. Susan was very helpful with her suggestions on which one will be better for me and what would be durable for my daily activity. as far as yearly eye exams go , i come to them . also bring my family as well for their eye exams . they have a pretty decent size selection of eyeglasses especially for women . not so much for men who wear glasses though . every time i come they're always really professional & thorough when it comes to the actual eye exams . they like to make sure they're getting your prescription if needed as accurately as possible . i'd recommend them if anybody is looking for a place to get their eyes checked . read more

After buying RayBan no prescription sun glasses and coming home, realized that the same glasses are 40% less expensive in RayBan official website. I called them to cancel the order or price match but they said they have already processed the order. This price difference is unacceptable. I feel all their collection prices are marked up. They should at least let me cancel the order as it has been just 1 hr since I ordered and it is No prescription. They haven't customized anything for me. read more

My girlfriend and her girls have been patients for years. Thought I would try them out. DON'T waste your time. Annie at the counter is rude, unfriendly, speaks over you, and has an attitude. When the front of the house is unpleasant it is usually a massive red flag of how you'll be treated. They may be great but they have a bunch of 1-star reviews, so most likely this isn't someone having a bad day. Timothy, if you have this many 1 Star reviews remember the adage "where there's smoke there's fire?" Well, Annie felt quite comfortable being blatantly rude. She got comfortable somehow? Most of your 1-stars are for customer service. My issue could've been handled very differently. In my case, I even asked her if I was in the right place or if I should leave bc she was so rude. Arrogantly she said, "I don't know" both times. That's a sign she didn't care how her behavior was perceived. I feel like I've dodged a bullet. Had a lot of experience with medical offices in recent years. Nothing worse than dealing with difficult front office staff. Couldn't care how good the doctor is when the staff are impolite. read more

I came in this morning to have my glasses adjusted, which may take 2-3 minutes to do. The front office asked me if I have an appointment, I didn't. I was just in the area because I drove my dad to his doctor. I understand the appointment only policy. I've been going to them ever since my kids were little, now they're adults. I don't understand why a 2-minute job they will put me in an afternoon appointment, I will need to comeback, check in, wait another 20 minutes in their waiting area (they've never attended to me within 10 minutes upon arrival in the past) then have my glasses adjusted within less than 5 minutes. Isn't that exposing me more to risk? There are some instances when you have to weigh the needs and circumstances. I may be wrong, but a little flexibility won't hurt. After all, we've all been working around this stupid virus for a while now. Just venting. read more

Dr. Thiara was also wonderful she was very thorough throughout the examination. Samantha helped me with my glasses, and let me just say she was amazing. She gave me her honest opinion when I couldn't decide, she was very personable & went over all my options to make sure I understood everything that was being recommended. Eaton optometry was my go to for over 16 years. Now that you have to go downtown to Tracy Optometry, customer service is a thing of the past. I guess they have so many customers now one list us no big deal. No reflection of Drs Yee, Ng and Moline. All are great. And Jennifer is the best. I'll miss that. Brought my daughter in to renew her contacts. The Dr. recommended a different type and gave her samples to try. Good service. On the revisit, we decided to go back to monthly instead of the daily wear. Dr Clark took her time to make certain to adjust the prescription perfectly. Very thorough. She again gave my daughter samples and will follow up again in a few days to make sure they are right for her eyes. Original review: 2 stars I have been going here for several years now and will consider finding a new Optomentry. I loved the doctors, but the rest of the staff is inconsistent with providing great customer service. I received a text message that my glasses were ready. Attempted to call and respond to the text message to schedule an appointment to pick up my glasses. Never received a response. When I was finally able to get through I was told that there's no appointments available to pick up my glasses over the next couple days (maybe one or two time slots that conflict with work obligations). I have been suffering from headaches for the past couple weeks and have desperately needed my new glasses. When I attempted to share this with the woman I spoke to over the phone, there was no acknowledgment of my concern or compassion for what I have been dealing with. I understand with the recent pandemic there has been changes to protocols, But when you spent a crazy amount of money on new glasses and there's no support to pick them up or get them adjusted unacceptable. Update: Arrived and spoke to the office manager and sharing my frustration. She was kind, compassionate and was able to squeeze me in To get my glasses. I've been a patient here since I moved to Tracy in 2014. Every year since then I've ordered contacts through them using the Lensferry service. EVERY year its a battle to get the contacts ordered and the service set up. Finally this year it was brought to my attention after multiple phone calls between this office and Lensferry, that monthly payments are no longer an option. My problem is, when I was at the office I was told monthly payments were no problem, but now after weeks of delays, its not an option? What a waste of time. I'm so tired of dealing with this office lobbing problems over the fence for someone else to deal with and taking my business else where. If you were smart, you'd do the same. I'd have given one star, but Dr. Yee is very friendly. He's the only reason I've stayed until now. read more

It's COVID time and the office was clean, the staff professional and I felt safe. My eyesight didn't change much, but ask Dr. Moline for glasses so I can best see my embroidery projects I love working on. Ask and you shall receive. Selection is good, as far as glasses both prescription and sunglasses. The techs that do the eye exam are friendly. The receptionists can be a bit nicer, one in particular comes off with an attitude, when all u want to do is check-in for an already scheduled appointment. Head sets come off really tacky as a consumer. It's great that they do confirmation&reminder calls for appointments. My Glasses/contacts took a bit longer than scheduled for pick up, and there was one incident where they were ready for pick up but no one called me to inform me, I had to call in and they actually have been ready. Nice location and selection is great, Only 2 good pluses about this place. read more

I was the first appointment of the day 8am on a Saturday 2/19/22 .I was greeted by the receptionist in a friendly way. The staff arrived to work promptly and with in minutes i was taken back for my eye exam. My appointment lasted about an hour . The doctor explain everything she was very detailed very patient and professional. I met Maria who help me with choosing my glasses she help me to maximize my vision plan. I arrived at Tracy optical with so many desks pointed in my direction. It was quite intimidating walking in for the first time, not sure who to talk to. A lot of customer service people, but the doctor wasn't there.When the doctor arrived I only spent a few minutes with him. This made me feel unsafe with him being my optometrist. I was expecting a more thorough exam. I hadn't seen an eye doctor in years. I felt they were more concerned with me making a purchase than with the health of my eyes. I was told I couldn't have my contact prescription unless I tried their contacts, and I had to pay to try their contacts. My other optometrist never charged me for my contact prescription. It was included in the cost of my exam. I didn't feel like I wanted to go back. read more

I had a simple question for staff member about getting a medical note and was shunned yelled at and blatantly disrespected on the phone by the "office manager". My years of going here are done. I went in for my checkup today; again very pleased with their service! Estephany, technician, took me through the diagnostic tests; very attentive, polite, and professional! Dr Clark's exam and explanation of my tests were very clear; she has a very friendly and polite manner. Finally working with the Optician Susan was a delight! She was so efficient and just spot on finding the right frames for me (Even taking pictures so I could show my wife the selections to help with my choice)! I have been going here now for over 15 years. I don't even live in Tracy anymore. However I still manage to find my way back. I enjoy the imtimate small business feel. Where you get to know the people who work there and they get to know you. Great quick and thorough service. My lack of a star is due to their glasses selection. I find it to be rather small and not a wide variety. I have skipped out on getting glasses a few times due to this. This was the best optometry place I've ever been to. Charelle helped me with all of my eye exams and she was the most sweetest person ever the staff are so kind the wait was very minimal office was so clean and organized. My offer doctor was very thorough and very explanation of my results took the time to talk to me about my concerns I never felt rushed. This place is ridiculous.. the customer service is horrible and not organized at all. If I come and see the same office for many years why are you sending my glasses somewhere else. Why do I have to drive all the way on the other side of town. No apology or anything and on top of that my glasses where probably ready awhile back but no one called me since it was in the other location. How does that make sense and on top of that I have my own frames and just need the lenses and they charge you more even with insurance. NOTHING here makes sense both locations are horrible. I rather drive to Pleasanton and find a better optometrist. read more

I'm all about supporting Tracy businesses, even was excited to see them, what a disappointment from start to finish. From customer service all the way to the pricing a rip off to the finest ! one outdoes the other if you ask me . The doctor wrote me the highest prescription type possible then after 3 weeks of waiting time i finally get my glasses and been told I need to get used to them, -take your time! Glasses are to improve, not to dislocate. I even bought sunglasses .,, after coming back and saying they are too strong the doctor goes around asking everyone why this prescription strength was written down and Who did wrote it in the computer, ok so that's not even it I had headaches because of the strength, then my sunglasses I paid out of pocket had prescription I didn't even ask for. I paid a high price for overrated brands , after that I ask them to please remove the prescription I get them back and I asked them to please send me back the payment I had to pay extra for prescription on the sunglasses . unfortunately they explain me that I won't get my money back because of my reading glasses that they had to redo, even though it was their fault they didn't pay me back for my sunglasses that they messed up on. to top it off , as I came back to get my first glasses redone, I left them the expensive case but they told me that that wasn't true they wouldn't take anyone's case, But my second pair they took the case and it came back with it. I'm so mad I spent over a $1000 and because of their mishaps I wasn't getting good service or my moneys worth , I have never been so frustrated with a place, I never write a bad review but this one I couldn't resist because of the way i got treated no one admitted once they were wrong or at least showed some understanding. I am so disappointed with my recent order. This will be my 3rd pair of glasses from here. I've recently order a pair of Ray Bans sunglasses with prescription on September 7 and just now received it November 22. They tell you it takes about 2 weeks for your order to come in.... I was NOT told prior that it takes extra days for the "special glass" on my order but I waited because what can I do? Got a call and was told glasses are finally here but, the lens are SCRATCH! At that point, I was already frustrated because I keep having to call to check the status of my glasses and it keeps getting delayed. Then I waited another week in half and went in to pick it up, on Wednesday, November 22 and IT WAS NOTHING like I ORDERED. I ordered a purple blue lens and they gave me a straight Rose Gold lens with pink frame... The girl along with two other employees looked at my order forms and the computer to double check and told me the lab have been messing up orders, but should at least get as close to the color as they can. They examine the lens type and it did not match the ones on my glasses!?! One of the employee was nice and understanding but she could not do anything because her manager was out of town so she let me take these glasses as "lender glasses" until the situation is figured out with the lab and manager. I waited until the next week but haven't received a call so I called and the manager had no clue what I was talking about. I told her what I've gone through, and her conclusion is that I would never get the color like the picture because the chemicals to mixing prescriptions and the lens is basically complicated.... Maybe tell customers that when they order? Why have color options then? PINK is NOT EVEN close to blue.She told me she can try to send it to Ray Ban lab to try and get it to the color but under my expense because she said they will be eating the cost... or get a refund. I AM NOT going to pay more money for their mistakes to "try" to make this right, I am the customer... Honestly, I am very unhappy with this purchase and I am so done dealing with this over the course of 2 months. I did not get what I paid for. I just going to take my lost and go elsewhere next time I need new glasses and contacts. read more
