This was my first visit and it was because of a referral from my primary. They kept calling to get the paperwork from the office of the Primary Care Physician and I would call there to move things. The day of the appointment, they still said that they did not have the paperwork and called the office. By the time they appointment had passed, they found common ground and I was taken back for assessment. The initial testing person did a fine job and even had a sense of humor. He led me through multiple tests and kept me going through the unfamiliar process, showing both grace and patience. I was shuffled a bit until they found a room for Dr. Simon to meet. In both cases, the people listened to my story about having my eye socket fractured. When they tested my vision, there really wasn't much wrong, with my eyes so much but with the way one eye isn't level. Rather than push me into a set of glasses that might temporarily help, Dr. Simon asked if I wanted to talk to a surgeon who might be able to correct the problem with my eye socket and I agreed. Communication is very lacking here. They are all the sudden closed for getting your glasses and for fittings on Tuesday and Thursday. And when we went in to see if we could at least just pick up the glasses the receptionist was very rude. At least they could have sent out emails or text messages about these closures so that people driving from Tracy and further didn't have to sit in traffic and waste their time and gasoline for nothing! 01/30/25- Came in for a new vision prescription check and post cataract surgeries check. As always the front desk and doctors assistants are all friendly and welcoming. They all make me feel that they care about my eye health. Dr Canzano kept his word to do his best to get me better vision than I had before and with cataracts. I will need a laser technique to fine tune my vision, but he did mention that could happen at our cataract consultaion appt. I feel grateful to have had Dr Canzano as my opthomologist and as my surgeon for my cataract surgeries. read more

Have have top notch doctors for your eye care. But if you're getting your glasses from them they do not provide high quality products. They will scratch and easily bend or just break. It's okay to get your eyes checked here, but if you want a quality pair of glasses, you need to buy them somewhere else. read more

1-Star Review If I could give zero stars, I would. The staff here are extremely rude and have a serious attitude problem. They show no sympathy or empathy toward patients and talk down to those who struggle with English or can't keep up with their fast speech. Instead of being patient and helpful, they make you feel small for not understanding. On top of that, they kept saying my eyesight was really bad and that glasses were useless, which was not helpful at all. The whole reason for visiting an eye clinic is to improve vision, not to be made fun of for struggling to see. They also kept asking the same questions multiple times, raising their voices, and acting like they were annoyed to be doing their job. If you want to be treated with respect and get real help for your eyes, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. This place is unprofessional, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

I had an emergency and was given an appointment. After waiting 30 minutes to be seen I was informed the doctor was running 30 minutes behind. I also had no clue my eyes would need to be dilated until I asked how much longer this would take. Having to reschedule for another week. The front desk apologized but that is not helpful. read more

Never again. Felt rushed and unheard. The technician did the exam, not the doctor. I explained that during her tests, I never saw 20/20; everything was blurry. I was told the doctor would recheck. He did not, but kept complimenting me on my excellent eyesight. Filed a complaint with VSP to see if I can go somewhere else and get a real exam. read more

This place has given me subpar service each time I went. They are only open two days a week and their prices for glasses are way too high for what you get, compared to other places I've been. They also won't let you email or show your prescription on your phone you have to fax it or print them a copy. In this day and age that makes absolutely no sense. read more

I was referred to Zeiter for cataract surgery. Dr. Canzano took time to explain the procedure and answer my questions fully. Very customer-focused and willing to listen to your concerns and provide detailed explanations. The surgery went exceptionally well, and I've not had problems since. read more

I call Zeiter eye media al group today 9/29/2020 to make an appointment to check my vision, after the receptionist answer I ask her for an appointment, she ask for some information (insurance name, my personal information, all that) after I provided her my insurance ID I asked her how much my insurance covers she replied that I need to call my insurance and find out and she hanged up the phone on me......., yes unbelievable she hung up on me; this is really unprofessional. I'm happy that she hanged up on me because if this is how they treat their patients I don't wanna be seen there. It's many others places willing to take care of our business. After that The young lady hang up on me I call LensCrafter and they give me all the information I requested, nice, smooth and profesional. I got my appointment and my son appointment as well with no problem. Zeiter Eye medical group needs to learn from competitors how to treat new customers. Dr Canzano is the only reason I keep going to Zeiter. I find that the staff is a little too rigid for my liking and if Dr Canzano was to move to another facility, I would follow him. There is just no good customer service here. And only 2 days a week for the eye glass dept. Really, that's just nuts. They need a full-time or part time employee there just someone more than 16 hrs and would you please answer the phone. I had my cataracts removed there in October of 2018. The whole staff treated me with care and warmth. Dr. Canzano did a great job on my eyeballs and I am now minus the cataracts and far-sighted to boot. Originally, I felt significant fear of having surgery on my eyes; the thought of a needle or knife even approaching my eyes scared me However, in the operating room it went like this: "Your doing great we're going to wheel you into surgery in a few minutes." "OK, it's almost time." Then "we're done, you can call your wife to pick you up now" I was like: "What? Are you sure? Where was the knife?" I must have slept through the operation! Recuperation, too, was way easier than I thought. I never felt a lick of pain. read more

I've been having issues with both my eyes for two months already. Swollen eyelids, red eye, burning sensation and blurry vision. I got referred to this office to see a specialist since my original optometrist could not figure out what kind of infection I have, he gave me 3 different types of medications and still no improvement. I get there and the wait is long but I understand due to the COVID situation and restrictions on capacity. However, once I get inside to see the doctor (Dr. Wong to be clear) he cuts me off before I can even complete any sentences, just looks at my eyes (exactly like my previous optometrist did) and tells me "yea I see irritation in your eyelids but I don't see an eye infection, if I had the conditions of your eyes I would be happy".He was in there for not even 3 minutes! What's the point of going to a specialist if you're doing no different than my previous doctor?! And he said it himself, he sees irritation in my eyelids!!! I'm to the point that I'm scared, desperate, and have no idea on what else to do. If you get referred here please make sure you don't see Dr.Wong! His attitude was dismissive, rude, and careless. Dr. Canzona has the best bed side manner and has taken very good care of our family. The staff has been attentive in scheduling and insurance questions. I'm not sure about the glasses options because we usually get glasses from Costco. We travel nearly an hour to their Manteca office so they must be doing something right! read more

This was my first time at this office, prior to this visit I had been seeing the same eye doctor for 13 years. My eye exam was quick, I don't remember the doctors name but it was a woman. As far as receiving my prescription! I will not ever go here again because of this. I know all eye places tell you that your glasses will take 2 weeks to receive. ( I have never waited more then 10 days ever to receive glasses in my life) so when 14 days passed and still no glasses I was frustrated. Another week goes by. Still no glasses. Finally after alittle over 3 weeks I get my glasses BUT I ordered black frames, and all the had were red frames so they told me to just use the red frames until mine came in which they said would be in 3 days and I would get a call to come swap the frames out. Well it's been over a month and I've never been called about the frames I had initially ordered. So I still have the red display frames. I just feel that they are very unprofessional, mind you I paid $300 for my glasses and I didn't even get the color I had ordered. I will NOT be going here again. read more
