This place made my day! After a family lunch, I popped into this cute shop and was instantly cheered by its happy decor and friendly service. Good selection of candy in clean, glass jars that made me feel like I was walking into a candy wonderland. The smell of fresh caramel corn envelops you in a wave of sugary goodness. Bonus: free samples of the caramel corn! Only negative was the price on the chocolates. I got 2 salted caramels, 1 raspberry truffle, 1 peanut butter truffle, and 1 lemon truffle and it was right around $10. $2/piece seems a little steep to me. The flavor on the lemon truffle was also sub-par and overly sugary. Notes: Accessible (one level) but VERY tight and full of glass. Street parking. Pay by the pound. Very nice people, lots of candy, looks like some of the candy is home made. Lots of chocolate! And the fudge is really good, they also have pretty cool things like socks, cute bandaids, prank kits, and a lot of stuffed animals. We waited at the walk up window for 10 minutes, there was a customer who was just leaving when we arrived, and the window got closed on us. We rang the bell twice, and were ignored the entire time. I came here looking to try their edible cookie dough, only to find that the two peanut butter doughs were next to almost all the other flavours behind the case. I asked if they had any separate dough that wasn't potentially contaminated and they said no. The owner sort of apologised, and I told her I was disappointed, and then offered her a suggestion on how to do it different. Her response was condescending and passive aggressive. BUBBLE TEA- While a bit pricey, ranging from 4.25-4.75, the presentation is cute! I specifically had trouble with the type of milk used in this tea, as whole milk is used, and being a vegan, I cannot have one of my favorite drinks here. If you need non-dairy milk based tea, this place doesn't have that option. The boba in the tea can sometimes be not cooked thoroughly, leaving a dry consistency in the middle. This drink is also very sweet, so if you like sweet tea, this drink is great. It's good tea, and enjoyable if you have no problem drinking dairy based milk. read more

You would think that a candy store of all places would be friendly. :( When you're rude to my well behaved kids there's obviously a problem with your staffing model. Cute place, but highly over priced for chocolates and bulk candy. We went in there for a few truffles, some gummy strawberries and a small bag of hard candy and was charged $20. I'm sorry but the quality of chocolate did not warrant the high price. We will stick with chocolates from Petite Provence. Also, what's with all the kitschy bacon flavored candy? Be prepared to pay for a box if you buy a pound of candy. I believe in supporting local independent businesses, but this is ridiculous. I tried to buy a one pound box of chocolate for Christmas. The clerk tried to sell me 2 boxes of 71/2 oz.. boxes, she was reluctant to accommodate my request . She boxed it and then charged me $1.00 for the box. This should be included in the cost of the chocolates and cost of doing business. I think I'll drive the extra mile and go to the candy basket where they get the candy and the boxes are free........ read more

Haven't tried the candy or desserts here yet, but from the looks of it looks expensive to me. A small little box of sour belts were $5 when you can get so much more for that price at winco lol. Came here to try their new bubble tea and it needs a lot of work. I feel if you're going to introduce something new to your shop you should perfect it first, don't be half-assing the products. The blended bubble tea was wayyyy to powdery, milk tea was alright.. but how could you mess up the boba balls? They were too hard. I didn't catch any of the workers names but they were friendly, inviting, attentive and tolerant of my complete indecision when faces with the wall if candy in front of me. I tried a Bordeaux, vanilla cream and a salted maple bacon caramel in milk chocolate. All three were insanely delicious, and the caramel was an insanely good quality! Great little place in downtown Gresham. Fresh caramel corn and cheese corn made daily. Great selection of old fashion candies as well. Love their chocolate selection, you must try the toffee peanut butter truffle and the peanut butter fudge cup (you'll never touch Reese's again)! After meals in downtown Gresham we almost always go to either iCandy or Frenzi as a dessert. iCandy is really adorable, small, and delicious. I have had many of their chocolates and they're simply delicious. They have $2 bags of many various candies, and their freshly made caramel corn and cheese corn is fantastic. However, as a warning, the cheese corn is REALLY cheesy- I actually couldn't eat it, but the taste was great with just a few morsels. The staff I've met were always very nice, and the prices are slightly cheaper than other candy stores I've been to. But their chocolates are worth the price. read more

Have been coming here with my wife and young daughter the past few years and have always had a great experience.. the girls that work here have always been awesome in service and attitude and was just a good time with family.... just ordered my usual that I always get a two scoop in bowl, sorbet for daughter and her small stuffed animal. The new girl behind counter messed up my order by putting single scoops in each dish. Asked for both to be put in the bigger bowl just like it shows on counter for example. She did but the scoops were super super small like less then half of what the always have been. My wife took it up to ask if I could get a full scoop and the young lady did but with serious attitude and passive aggressive and super sloppy...well I would be giving 5 stars as it ALWAYS has been but that young lady ruined it with her awful customer service...NOTE- it appeared she was having some conversation with a boyfriend or something prior to our order. Been coming to icandy for years and have always been impressed with service and the things offered until recently. I came in a few weeks and bought a milk tea to discover a spot of mold in the drink. Was so disgusted that I did not want to purchase anything from the store anymore but decided to give the store another shot since I had such a good experience with them. Came back a couple days later and was still disappointed. There has also been a homeless lady the last couple visits that yelled at me as I walked in. Not icandy's fault but felt like they could have been more concerned with customers being yelled at. I decided to give the store one more shot this morning and was sad to see that there was only one poor girl working and store was busy. Still had amazing service with the employees. Lady this morning apologized for the delay and told me she would be right with me. I think she had purple hair. Regardless of service, still very disappointed in this business. I'm not a huge fan of iCandy. I've had good service there from everyone except from one of the owners, Debbie. She just has made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, so much, that I wouldn't mind never coming back. This past summer, I was the first customer to buy an ICandy shirt, and she said something along the lines of not wearing this shirt out on street corners or to a strip club or something and that she was serious, that I was representing her brand. This really hurt my feelings, I'm a young (married) mom and this made me feel like she was judging me, as I had my baby in the store with my. Another time, I came in and was making a purchase and my card had just gone three ugh the washing machine, and it was hard to read my name on my card. I has yet to order a new one. As I handed her my card, she said she couldn't read it very well and doubted that it was actually my card. I was very excited about iCandy, but haven't been impressed with the service. I'm willing to try iCandy again, I just don't like going somewhere and feeling belittled. read more

Love love love! So cute and packed with candy, chocolate, small gifts and lots of misc extras. Favorites are definitely caramel and white cheddar popcorn (both fresh)! Very nicely decorated and clean with a staff that's always been friendly. I've gotten some knee high socks to give as gifts, there are some poster type boards with funny or inspiring quotes, and some funky old school candies. They change the decor and theme of items with the holiday or time of the year it is. Definitely worth checking out! read more

We wanted to get outside, enjoy the rare day of sunshine here in Oregon. We went local and wandered the streets of our very own Gresham. We had never noticed iCandy before and stopped in. A very busy little place but the employees were happy, friendly and perfect for a sweet shop. We bought a small bag of chocolate truffles to try for fun. Also had a sample of their caramel corn. I admit, I don't like caramel corn but their version is delightful. Each piece is light, large and fresh. The caramel coating is just right - buttery and smooth. Icandy is the best thing about a re-energized Downtown Gresham. There are many new eating establishments for almost any style of dining, but the topper to any of them for me is dessert in the form of the large Chocolate covered Mint Patty available at I candy.
